I am totally new to sound. I have been using USB MIC and Boya (with USB adaptor). I record my voice while screen recording. I should had gone with Audio Interface but I got this mixer without XLR MIC. I don't have XLR mic. I have Boya BY-M1 mic. I got two adapters (TRS connectors). I plugged in simple headphone audio and Boya mic pins in mixer and used phones. I could hear audio/sound from laptop but I could not listen to my voice from MIC. I turned 'Gain' and 'Level' in first column and turned phones knob. I can listen to my voice but really low but a ready loud hiss and background noise. I tried "To Phones" and "To main mix" together and separate but no success. Also when I check "Listen to this device" from mic settings only them i hear my voice. I wanted to record my voice and monitor it at same time. I am using screen capturing software or sometimes audacity. Did I make mistake by going with mixir? Should I had gone with audio mixer like Focusrite? Am I doing it wrong? Is XLR microphone a must to get clean voice?

Okay, so i hava had my umc22 for a month and a half. I use it as a DAC for headphones and a mic interface. it worked great, no drivers installed. A few days ago i realised that my pc was doing some digital amplification generating unnecessary hiss. Fixed it with just lowering the volume on the sound control panel in windows, but thought that there may be some amplification still being done and just couldnt live with the fact that i might not be using my umc22 to its fullest. So I thought I would install some umc22 drivers (not asio4all drivers that are on the website, but some drivers i found people were recommending on yt). At the first glance, they seemed okay, but then I realised that for some reason when im on youtube listening to something and fire up my DAW (fl studio) the pitch lowers, witch isnt a big problem, but then I realised that the mic doesent work on discord or any communications apps. I couldnt live with these driver anymore so i thought ill uninstall it, and in the file i uploaded if you press setup you get a menu in witch you can choose to install, uninstall or eit the setup. i chose uninstall. it said it uninstalled, and that i need to reboot my PC. So i did. When the PC restarted i realized that its not recognizing the umc22 anymore, no matter in what usb port i plug it in. i reset the pc again, to no avail. Tried to plug it in my friends PC, and it worked flawlessly, plug and play just like how it worked on mine pc before the driver thing. Im getting desperate and dont know what to do since i have online school and no mic. I do hear the windous chime that you hear when you plug something in though. I uploaded the drivers. Thanks for any help in advance. BEHRINGER_2902_X64_2.8.40.zip

I recently upgraded my WFH setup with a new desk and monitors. To complete my setup I would really like some speakers that allow me some rest from wearing headphones (DT 770 Pro) all day. To power my headphones and microphone I have a Behringer UMC22, so after searching for some cheap USB + 3.5mm speakers like these or these but thought why not see if there's something I could power with the L+R outputs at the back of my UMC22. Thing is, I'm a noob at this stuff and not sure what I even need to search to have an idea of what I need, hence why I'm here. What speakers under $50 would you recommend for casual background listening to pair with my UMC22? Thanks for your time

So, Been using Behringer UMC22 for a Year and 3 days ago i was trying to fix a Noise in mic and thought of updating Drivers. Now i have no drivers after struggling for 3 days, installing and uninstalling drivers over and over. Can someone please tell me where to Find the actual drivers? Behringer website links to ASIO4ALL and it does absolutely nothing.

Hi so I got a new behringer q802usb as I wanted a mixer or audio interface for my bm700 condenser microphone as it was connected to my sound blaster z, but wasn't quite powering it properly and had a hissing sound in background. Now I have connected the q802usb via USB to the back of my pc connected the microphone to first channel via xlr cable. The microphone is set to 0 and main output is set to 0 so on basically, with a little bit of gain as it's too quite otherwise, the only problem is im getting a hissing sound in the background and the noise is still there even with no gain. I mainly do live streaming so cutting the noise via audacity is not possible, also I have tried a different cable but still get issues and a different microphone too. Any ideas thanks

I own a Grado SR60e headphones and planning on buying the Marshall Monitors for bass heavy songs, so could anyone recommend me a cheap and nice DAC, AMP or a combo that is under 50$ and goes well with them cause the on board is not loud enough for my SR60e. I have Behringer UCA222 in my mind but heard that the output impedance for headphone out is too high, so is there any cheap headphone amp with RCA so that i can connect that to the UCA222.

Hi there, I bought a mixer for my new Condenser mic. I have one question about this mixer. In the image below can I use the Main Out instead of the "2 Track" to connect to my audio input on my soundcard? I bought the wires for the main out but Im not sure if it is possible to use the main out instead of the "2 track"..

So I've had my umc204hd for about a month and it has worked fine. Yesterday I unplugged the cable and plugged it back in and I came across a few issues. I have an AudioTechnica AT2020 XLR plugged into the umc204 and a pair of XBR950BT plugged directly into the interface aswell. When I go to play audio, two little popping noises come through my headphones and then play the audio of something like a youtube video. This didn't happen before. On top of that, it cuts out my mic. I can hear it through my headphones due to the latency feature on the interface but it doesn't show that any signals are coming through on my computer. If I stop the audio, and wait maybe a minute or two, the audio from my mic will come through on my computer again. This is a really weird obscure problem and I've never had it before. I know it's not my mic, headphones, USB cable, due to the fact that I plugged it into a separate pc and it worked fine. It is definitely my computer. Any help would be much appreciated!

I have recently acquired a Behringer Q802 USB Mixer and i want to use it to record audio in ableton live 10. I have no idea what i need to do in ableton to start recording from it. I already have the ASIO drivers installed. I have poked around in the audio devices under abletons preferences but i cant see my mixer in there. Maybe Im just being dumb. Any help with getting the mixer to show up in ableton so i can record from it would be much appreciated. I am a beginner with all this audio stuff so please forgive and silly mistakes. Thank you in advance

Hi, So yesterday I tested my subwoofers with a 9v battery. They both are 800w RMS 8ohm subwoofers connected in parallel. I held the 9v battery onto the terminals multiple times for at most 3-4 seconds at a time. I also tested my amp (Behringer EP4000, operating in bridged mode) WITHOUT any speakers connected for about probably 5-10 minutes, I also drove it into clipping as that was what I wanted to prevent by lowering the input volume. Now my problem is that those 2 subwoofers sound a little quieter (not much, but it is noticable), what could be the most likely cause of this, having tested those subs with that 9v battery or running the amp without any speakers connected? Thanks in advance! -Daan Amplifier Specs: https://media63.music-group.com/media/sys_master/h27/haf/8849441357854.pdf Subwoofer Specs (LX-18B(E)): https://www.manualslib.com/manual/623327/Wharfedale-Pro-Lx-Seroes.html?page=9#manual

I ordered the Behringer C2 microphone on the recommendation of the Flying Sloth. Unfortunately the music store called to tell me it is out of stock and way backordered with no ETA. My use case is for video conferencing (zoom, Webex, Microsoft’s teams). Instead they have suggested the MXL CR21 for an extra $50CAD. I have a Behringer UMC202HD interface. All of this is new to me - the C2 was to be my first XLR mic. Can anyone comment on: Is the CR21 at least as good, or better, than the C2, and Is my interface compatible with the CR21? Equally interested in any other suggested alternative to the C2 if not the CR21 - even if it is more expensive. Thanks! ~Nick

Hi all! I have the interface of the title, and I want to buy the dt990 headphones, I am afraid that due to their impedance they do not work well, on many internet sites people say that they work well without an amplifier but I would like to know their opinions. I have seen videos of people who use headphones with laptops and cell phones without without and external amp/dac and they say they work well, I find it hard to believe that a Motorola cellphone has a more powerful amp than an audio interface, that's why I am positive that they work well, but at end i have no idea. Just for reference, I usually use a sony mdr-zx110 with the volume at 50% and when mixing I use them with the knob at 3 clock. If an amplifier is absolutely necessary, would it be nice to buy the behringer ha400?

Hi everyone ! I'm going to buy the DT 770 Pro 80 ohms headphones and I wanted to know if it needed an amp/dac. I currently have a Behringer UMC22 for my AT 2020 XLR Microphone and I wanted to know if it was also enough for the DT 770's. If not, can someone recommend me an Amp/dac combo or not to go with them. (I don't want to be overkill since I'm not going to be upgrading anytime soon) Front of UMC22 Back of UMC22

I'm having some problems with my latest addition to my desk setup! I have a Bheringer UM2 XLR mic interface and something is definately going wrong with it or at least how it's working with my devices! I got the driver from YouTube instructions that was a couple months made, after trying for hours trying to find the latest driver on their site with no avail. The issue is when the xlr mic is in, it creates a blackout with my keyboard, mouse, external dac/Amp combo and any of my other USB plugged in devices. This occurs once every 5 minutes or so when everything is in. I don't have a lot of things plugged in, and it goes away once I unplug the mic Amp. It's also not the hottest mic. My mouth does need to be eating it for a clear sound. Help? Robb

Audio Level is lowering slowly over time (during a single recording session) I've been using a Rode NT1-A with a Behringer Xenyx Q1002 for a couple of years but have never managed to have a good and consistent experience whilst recording audio. I use Adobe Audtion to record voice overs for videos and occasionally record directly into Premiere. Lately the audio recording has been starting great but the audio level slowly lowers over time to nearly nothing. (in a specific example, I was recording for around 25 mins with the audio sounding perfect for the first 2 minutes then it slowly started to lower, dropping from around -9db to -34db.) I have had other recording issues in the past but this is my current obstacle which might miraculously solve itself at any point. I'm now sure if it's a hardware issue or a software issue but I have had no luck and would be open to advise and opinions. It could be my Laptop which is getting old and has multiple software and hardware issues. Thanks in advance. (Image Attached)

NEKKST K8 Audiophile Bi-Amped 8" Studio Monitor with Advanced Waveguide Technology Welcome to my review! To start off, I was looking to upgrade my 14.2 surround setup to studio monitors because of "quality > quantity" and also I was starting to do more music production and DJing. I also may move within the next few years so studio monitors are a lot more portable than 10 full size 12" floorstanding speakers I was looking for something that would fit my colour scheme of black and white, but all black would be fine too. My first choice was the Adam Audio A8X, a top of the line speaker at $1000 a piece. Unfortunately I had a unexpected and severe PC failure that cost me ~$2000 in repairs/upgrades (because if something died, I may as well take that change to upgrade it, right?) so no A8Xs for me. Searching for 8" studio monitors brought up several results in the $400-600 range from yamaha, emotiva, presonus, etc... but the Behringer Nekkst K8 really stood out at $200 USD (~290 CAD) A local electronics store happened to have them on sale for $250 CAD each, so I got a pretty good deal for a brand new set of speakers that were released about a year ago. The fact that they were so new also made me think that the speakers would have much better and improved circuitry and design compared to the >5 year old Behringer Truth monitors. With only 1 review on these speakers, I decided to give it a shot and test my luck. I'm happy to say that I don't feel like I wasted my money. First of all, the build quality is good but not perfect. The speakers are made out of some wood or polymer (cant really tell) with nice curved edges and a very rough textured surface that hides scratches and dust very well. The front of the speaker however is made out of a plastic panel which looks very good but scratches easily. There is also a significant gap (about 1-2mm) between the speaker body and the front bezel. A very nice white light-up "NEKKST K*" logo is on the left size, and this is on whenever the speaker is powered on. So far the speakers have been on for months with no dead LEDs, so that's good. There is a large port at the bottom to help with bass as well as a nice minimalist "behringer" logo. The amplifier on the back is a nice panel amp that is flush with the speaker body, not protruding like the Truth series of monitors. Unfortunately the power switch is at the back, so turning the speakers on/off is an inconvenience. I just leave my speakers on 24/7, but if you want to you can just plug them into a powerbar and switch them off with that. The main driver is a 8" fibreglass woofer which looks more silver than white (like in the product pictures) depending on the lighting. Not sure how much the fibreglass helps, but it sounds and looks nice, and the rubber surround is very high quality. The woofer can go down to 40Hz. The tweeter is a 1" silk dome that can do up to 20KHz and has a wave guide which works pretty well, I can listen to the speakers at a 45 or 60 degree angle with no loss of clarity, just loss of volume which is normal. There are audio controls on the amp, for room compensation, cutting highs, cutting lows, etc... I am not using any of those any more, although I did cut the highs when I first started using them because I wasn't used to the high frequency. There are 3 inputs on the back: balanced XLR or TRS ( I am using XLR) unbalanced RCA Audio: Very good. The audio is extremely clear for all frequency ranges, and vocals stand out just right. When I first started using these speakers they sounded way too sharp because I have been using 12" floorstanding speakers with +10 bass on a home theater receiver for 5 years, so I was used to listening to much lower frequencies and not highs. After a few weeks of using them my ears adjusted and now I am listening to them with no EQ settings at all, no cutting the highs. Not painful/tiring to listen to at all. IMO they are very flat, however I don't have an analysis microphone to test with. Definitely a great 8" monitor for the price, highly recommended for anyone starting to get into audio production or just wants to listen to accurate audio. Why not excellent? -Missing a bit of low end punch for an 8" speaker, but still better than any 5 or 6" speaker. -I don't know if I can hear over 20KHz, but if I can I wont know because this speaker cant do it. Other high end options use ribbon tweeters to go up to 35 or 50KHz. Even if you cant hear that high, it gives a flatter/more accurate response in the audible range. -Very slight white noise comes from speakers when powered on, even with no audio cables attached. Can only hear when ear is right up to the speaker, but still not perfect. I don't know if this also happens to $1000 monitors like Adam Audio, but behringer said its normal for powered speakers to have a bit of white noise. The biggest problem of this speaker: Massive ground loop when connected by RCA to anything plugged into the wall (really loud buzzing EMI noise). Tested with my PC, laptop, and multiple 3.5mm to RCA cables. With the laptop it only makes the noise when the laptop is plugged in, so its definitely a ground loop. Plugging the speaker into a separate power circuit reduced the amount of noise but it was still impossible to use the speaker. Possible fix is using a cable with no grounding wire, not sure if that would fix it but I didn't want to try because ungrounding electronics can cause damage from static electricity building up, especially in something sensitive like a speaker amplifier. Solution: Use an audio interface (or external DAC) I'm currently using the one in my DJ controller, but will buy a proper audio interface soon. So if you're planning to buy these speakers you will have to save up for an audio interface too, which you probably should want anyway when using studio monitors. Full review: I spent some time editing a video for this, hopefully if you have time you can check it out. I need to get a new camera because the 1080p recording on this one kinda sucks, but I did what I could. BTW all the slides/pans/b-roll is done by hand or by sliding the camera tripod on a glass table with a piece of paper for less friction. I better get creativity points for that. TLDR: Great speakers for the money, but you will probably need an audio interface. Product: https://www.music-group.com/Categories/Behringer/Loudspeaker-Systems/Studio-Monitors/K8/p/P0AZU

So, unfortunately, It seem's I won't be able to get my hands on $2200 for a pair of Adam A8Xs by black friday/cyber monday Maybe next year I'll have enough, but I need to buy studio monitors pretty soon because sometimes next year I will probably be moving, and I want to downsize my massive 14 speaker system to two studio monitors. (some of you know what my speaker system looks like right now ) So I'm looking for two 8" studio monitors that look good, have decent sound, and cost less than $400ea Since I'm going to buy them locally (the music stores in my area have the speakers priced exactly the same as amazon) I have narrowed down my options to these three: Option 1) Mackie MR8MK3 - $300ea My thoughts: Awesome looks, a few reviews complaining about the high end, but overall seems positive. Only 85W though, not sure if that's enough to fill my large room with sound... http://tomleemusic.ca/168890 Option 2) Behringer B3031a - $360ea My thoughts: It's not a brand well known for studio monitors, but the reviews on the web seem promising, they look good, and they are 285W each! https://www.long-mcquade.com/12465/Pro_Audio_Recording/Studio_Monitors/Behringer/B3031A_-_285w_Active_Monitor.htm Option 3) Yorkville YSM-8 - $290ea My thoughts: These look a bit bland IMO, not sure If I like them too much, also they are only 95W. https://www.long-mcquade.com/17951/Pro_Audio_Recording/Studio_Monitors/Yorkville_Sound/YSM8_High_Performance_Powered_Studio_Reference_Monitor.htm Please help me choose Thanks! PS- I also considered the Yamaha HS8s but too many people say you NEED a subwoofer with them to get the low frequencies, and I'm looking for a bit more bass than that, not a perfectly flat sound signature.

how do you do seperate outputs? like if you run music thru your mixer for your stream, how do you make it so your skype call cant hear the music? my friend told me that i could use the fx send on my mixer, but it doesnt work, i still get music coming thru it. i bought an external usb sound card so i would have separate audio ins. any help is good help, thank you very much below im also going to add a picture of my mixer when i first got it, with nothing plugged in, i will attach a second photo of everything plugged in if needed. EDIT: i fixed it, my friend forgot to tell me to turn down the fx send on my line ins, so its all fixed but if you came by to help i appreciate it

Ok so I have been through it with my mic setup. Im gonna give a bit of background to show what I've done for the past couple weeks, but if you are uninterested just skip down a bit. So i had the blue yeti, but was unhappy with the background noise it picked up. I finally got the chance to get the Rode Procaster on a good deal so i went for it because I had adored this mic since i had heard it being used on youtube awhile back. So i knew i needed a usb interface to use the mic with my computer. I got the alesis multimix usb 4 fx(http://www.alesis.com/multimix-4-usb-fx) to begin with. It worked great out of the box with my procaster, but within just a couple days it developed a pop every couple seconds and would peak in conjunction with it. I had the option to send it to service, but not being impressed with it breaking that soon, I figured there would be better quality options out there. I looked around and found the behringer 302usb(http://www.amazon.com/Behringer-302USB-BEHRINGER-XENYX/dp/B005EHILV4). Seemed cheap, but decent for my needs. May not be the best, but i wasn't gonna break the bank either and i simply just want to use my mic for chatting and recordings for videos i make. Got the mixer and my mic was VERY quiet on this mixer. I could barely hear myself with all knobs maxed and gain all the way up in windows. And of course this introduced static. Not ideal. I bought the ultragain mic100(http://www.amazon.com/Behringer-Ultragain-MIC100-Audiophile-Preamplifier/dp/B000CZ0RME/ref=sr_1_1?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1438827787&sr=1-1&keywords=ultragain+mic100) as a result of their customer support suggestion. This helped a little, but it seemed to have very poor quality and my voice was distorted and more static was introduced. I have returned the alesis and also the behringer products at this point And this brings me to my most recent purchase. I decided to spend a bit more than i originally planned and went with the tascam us-2x2(http://tascam.com/product/us-2x2/). This seemed like a great option and had many connections that I like. I specifically like its addition of a MIDI connection option. I went through these purchases and hardly worried about specs other than impedence. Which i think i may be horribly confused on. So here I am asking for help. My procaster is a 320 ohm mic. the alesis is rated at 600 ohms. The behringer was 150 ohms. And the tascam is 2.2k ohms. Now if i understand this right, the alesis pushed my mic just fine because it had enough power to support it. The behringer couldn't push it at all having less than half the power needed to push it properly. Now with the Tascam at 2.2k I thought i'd be in the clear by a long-shot. HERE IS MY ISSUE My mic is again VERY quiet on this Tascam mixer. Windows has my mic level stuck at 0.0 db and wont let me adjust it at all. This may be an issue. I have the firmware and drivers all installed for the mixer and nothing is working to fix this. Even with the knob maxed out and me practically gnawing on the mic, i'm only getting into the second bar on the windows level detection in "recording devices". I have sent an email to their support, but this forum is very helpful and I thought i'd ask to see if i'm missing something obvious. Have i horribly mistaken the impedence ratings? Any idea why my levels are locked at 0 db? Im incredibly confused and after doing so many returns, I'd prefer not to have to do another. I will if i must, but ultimately i need to know soon so i can get it sent back. Thanks for any input and help! I'm at a loss! -Luke And just to add as a note...i realize this is a dynamic mic and I have to have the mic closer to my mouth than the yeti. I have it on a boom arm sitting no more than 5-6 inches from my mouth.

So I'm about to start a YouTube Channel (I doubt my decision every 2 seconds ) and I need a USB mic that will sound good and will not make me want to upgrade for a while. I'll be sitting and anywhere between 20-45 cms away from the mic and I've eliminated dynamic mics altogether. There will also be some background noise so I'd prefer one which isn't uber sensitive. I'd be glad if you all could help me choose a mic from the ones I've shortlisted. Also, if it matters, my voice is a little bassy. 1.Samson Meteor Mic 2.Samson GO Mic 3.Blue Snowball (Or the iCE. Is the audio quality the same in a Cardiod pattern?) 4.CAD U37 5.CAD U1000 I'd really really appreciate a quick response! P.S. - Other recommendations are welcome but don't recommend the following since I can't get them due to certain issues like price or availability - Blue Yeti, Audio Techinica ATR-2500 or 2020, Samson CO1U or the Behringer equivalent

- started a new topic as per the advice of another forum member - Hi all, Just joined up so sorry if I will make any mistakes, but I felt it made no sense to start a new one. Also please forgive typos, language errors. I just bought a Behringer 502 USB mixer and a Rode M1-S dynamic mic. Went with this setup because I wanted a microphone that can pick up voice clearly but without room (house) noise. This is meant for YouTube and Twitch. Ok then, my questions are related mostly to how to best set up this package to get a good volume for my voice while not introducing (internal/technological) background noise. You know what I am referring to, hisses, hums, static like noise. (sorry, English is not my first language and audio tech is not my field). Ok so here we go and THANK YOU in advance for your help guys! One mention: this is all done on Windows 8.1 for now. Will switch to 10 when 100% sure it won't mess up my livestream set up. 1) Plug this in via USB 2.0 or 3.0? I have a GA-990FXA-UD3 from Gigabyte (motherboard) and the 2.0 usb ports are marked as 3x powered which leads me to believe that they should act as a powered usb hub would. 2) any advantage from using a powered usb hub in regards to reducing noise and getting a cleaner sound? 3) Which settings on the mixer are for boosting volume/signal? would those be GAIN, LEVEL and MAIN MIX? 4) Does the "to main mix" button have to be pressed down for the mixer settings to apply to the mic? 5) Does the EQ influence the noise? (read somewhere that the EQ for HIGH is set to be well too high, it can introduce noise) 6) What would be the best balance between the mixer volume/gain settings and the one from windows for the mic? Do you recommend balancing them out or prioritising the mixer settings + lowering the windows settings to as low as possible OR the other way around (mixer to low and windows to high) ? Overall I wanted to get something like what JayzTwoCents has here: or what Steven Johnson has here: and here: but they seem to get better volume than I can. Which leaves me really confused. And not having knoweldge on mixers, the 502's settings are a bit confusing overall with the manual being...not great for beginners What I don't want to have is the hiss that this guy in the video below has (check out the video @ 9:55 for a quiet moment where you can hear the hiss). Thanks for reading this!

Hello, I recently bought a Behringer mixer and the usb interface comes up in the recording devices as "Line In" yet when I am player music into the RCA track in, the line in isn't showing that anything is playing bit the mixer indicates the music with the light levels. How can I make the USB interface mic work?

Hi I'm looking for a way / a mixer to hook up all my audio. Inputs: AT2020 XLR , USB Output: AD900X headphones I know a mixer like the small format mixers from Behringer would work, but I would like to have a solution where I can play eg Teamspeak on Channel 2 (on the mixer), Music on Channel 3 etc. (With channel 1 being the mic) Is it possible to map specific audio sources to specific channels on a mixer? (Not considering a digital one, those things are EXPENSIVE) I know the other way is to get equal # of soundcards == # channels I want to use. Thx

I want to get studio monitors in my room for 70% music listening, mostly house music. And 30% of gaming. My soundcard is the Creative Sound Blaster ZXR. I have a very small room and the monitors will be about 2ft away from me. Does wattage matter, the max volume all of these will be to much for me to handle in my room.
