Just trying to rally some more people to try Battleborn, it recently went free to play, its escaped my radar for the past year because of the launch issues and a lot of people acting like its a terrible game. I own pretty much every game that's been at all popular lol, and I was getting kind of burnt out of all of them, however Battleborn restored my vigor and 25 hours in I'm still addicted. Anyone curious to try just grab it free from steam! One note though you have to get lvl 3 before you can play matches vs real ppl instead of bots (doesn't take too long). The gameplay is sort of like a blend of overwatch and smite (almost hate putting smite since its pretty low quality), but it also has a capture game mode, and a couple others that play completely differently from each other, theres also a campaign that's fun to play with friends, and the campaign experience and gear loot comes with you to PvP as well. If you like any of those games at all I'm sure you'll like Battleborn. There is 1000s of pieces of gear you can find from drops in campaign and through achievements & loot boxes in PvP. You can have multiple loadouts which each can hold 3 pieces of gear, and you activate the gear per round with the money you make, a very interesting take on items that I personally love. Games like Gigantic and Heroes of the Storm with no items get stale very quickly for me. You can also unlock additional abilities for your hero as you level them up, really enjoying the progression, and you can unlock skins from achievements and loot boxes, don't have to drop a penny on them. If you decide to buy it to unlock all the heroes and the campaign, you can grab it off Kinguin for $7.50 last time I checked. With that being said, theres a free hero rotation that changes weekly like League, and you can unlock all heroes with in game currency like League. Ive kind of always had this issue. But when I started to max out games because of my 1070. Ive hit major stuttering in game. This is most noticeable in GTA V and Battleborn. Specs i5 4690k, strix 1070, z97 g55 sli, 8 gigs of ripjaws gddr3, 1 TB HDD, and a corsair cx600M. One thing I have noticed is that Windows 10 has been eating up almost all of my poor ram. https://gyazo.com/71921e264c057506d377254822bb2b8a This is just with some chrome tabs open. I run at a beautiful 144 frames then it all of a sudden dips and sometimes freezes. I notice this in really demanding games like GTA V. But it also happens in less demanding games like CSGO. On the day of Overwatch's release Battleborn drops the price to 40 dollars (PC), even with Blizzard's Overwatch's initial Price (60$ edition also available). This game was made by the guys who made borderlands so I'm pretty sure they didn't copy it from anyone and I'm sure they made this game with their own mark of humor and style like the previous games we saw from them. edit: just finished the download will play for few matches. played a SINGLE story cooperative match. It took too long to have a proper team through matchmaking since people kept on diconnecting. This was the Coop story mode though so will try and see the Versus mode later on. First impressions(Coop Storymode): The matchmaking takes too long too many people disconnect and at times even on a full team the game just won't start. There is no way to communicate with matched people easily(Coop storymode) you need a proper voice communication since this game is a really fast paced game. Typing won't cut it. For example I was the only player on my team who had a mic on. Literally we were just running around uncoordinated just shooting anything that moves. Just like MOBA's you'd need knowledge and training to master each char. This game is even more unforgiving than MOBA's it's so fast paced that sitting around trying to decide which upgrade/skill to take will either kill you or your entire team. I also think that I was the only one upgrading my skills since I was the only one who had really high damge by the end of it. I think my teammates were just shooting anything picking up anything and going anywhere. will try versus mode later-on *just tried versus mode, and it somehow turned into another coop storymode without us even knowing. wtf
