I need help. I have a rx 6800 xt MSI Gaming X Trio with a ryzen 7 5800x and 16gb 3600mhz. my pc was running fine for awhile then after a system restart the gpu gets low usage on all games. I’ve tried a couple of benchmark apps like heaven and furmark but heaven gets about 34fps with around 3-8% usage but furmark sits at 298fps and the usage is at 99%. ive tried ddu and a fresh install of windows but nothing has worked.

Hello linustechtips members. The past week my pc have been running games very poorly. I build my pc around 2 years ago now, and everything has been running amazing until recently, it seems to only effect my games. My hardware; Asus rog strix 2080 super oc i9 9900kf 8x4 corsair vengeance rgb pro 3200 mhz Asus rog maximus xi hero (wifi) corsair RM750 80+ gold NZXT kraken x52 x2 Samsung 970 evo plus 1TB NZXT h510 I will go into more details now. I have been using csgo to test while my pc has been acting weird, and here is a screenshot for context. The game is in 1440p with settings on low. As you will be able to see in the picture, I have 92 fps, and gpu usage of 95%. This is how my pc have been running every game I have tested such as, league of legends, rust and so on. https://gyazo.com/bedda8376548ab03b3c7277ae2a5ac9a A few days ago, when i booted my pc up and started csgo, my fps was back to it's usual self, as you will be able to see in the screenshot, approx 571 fps with same settings as mentioned earlier. The pc felt normal and everything worked amazing, or so i thought, the next morning when I woke up, my pc was back to acting weird with very low fps, it has now been stuck like that since, and once in a while when I boot it up, the fps in games are great. If you look on the last screenshot, you will also be able to see that the gpu usage is way lower at around 58% compared to the 95% usage in the first screenshot. https://gyazo.com/f99f8ec35f70520fb8da3e1fc68afefd I have been running some cinebench r15 tests, and i get around 2000-2050 in score, which is around the normal for a stock i9 9900k. I have also been running some 3dmark tests, and they also seem to be as they should. I can send a screenshot of one of those, if needed. Solutions I have tried so far; Reset windows Reset bios back to factory settings, and only enabled xmp. Downloaded newest and older versions of bios. removed all drivers for gpu, cpu and motherboard and downloaded newest version and older versions. All thermals are looking fine, from what I can see. V-sync are disabled in NVidia control panel. power settings is put on high performance. I am running out of suggestions myself, for what It could be. I appreciate all the help I can get extremely much, so thank you.

Hi. I've been looking around for a solution since I bought the card 3 days ago and its driving me crazy!! I have a problem with my MSI GeForce RTX 3080 GAMING X TRIO My setup is: MSI GeForce RTX 3080 GAMING X TRIO. X570-F Gaming. 16GB G.Skillz 3200mhz XMP, two sticks, A2-B2 slot. 850W PSU. Ryzen 5 3600 with a Noctua NH-U12S mounted, which has two fans mounted as well. Fractal Design Focus G case with two intake fans infront, 2 outtake fans on top Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD M.2 2280 - 1TB for my games CPU is not overclocked. In most games like GTA V, Cyberpunk and Rust the games performance is very bad compared to what I thought. GPU usage is approx. 50% in all games, and CPU is about 50% too. GTA V with max settings on 1440p I get roughly 60fps, dips to 45fps. Changing settings don't really do a difference. I play without V Sync and Frame Scaling. Cyberpunk is also about 45fps in the city and about 70fps outside town. Rust roams about 60-70fps most places. Runs pretty well with my Valve Index, in Half Life: Alyx. Only got mild lag spikes a few times throughout two hours of VR adventure. My RX 5700XT ran games better than this RTX 3080. What is up with that? I've tried removing driver with DDU in safe mode, and installing it again. I've changed PSU cables so the GPU has 3 separate cables. Can this be a driver issue? My current driver is version 460.89 I did a userbenchmark test as well Asus ROG STRIX X570-F GAMING Performance Results - UserBenchmark

Hey Guys, i recently bought an RTX 3080 to gain more FPS for my future 1440p Monitor. In the time till i get the Monitor i play Games on 1080p . So the Problem is i only get maybe 60% to half the FPS like other People with the same Graphics card. Warzone example: I get 90-120fps on low and even less on high but People get 240 and sometimes even +300fps. I know my CPU bottlenecks it a little but still why soooo heavy of a drop ? I did some Benchmarks and the Card performs like it should but why do i get such heavy loss in games ? I already reset my PC and tried DDU. What did i do wrong ? Before i had an 2080ti and i got more then now. Here are my Specs: https://postimg.cc/gallery/wJk36Pt Edit:GPU usage in Warzone is 40% to max 60%. Cpu is 80%

[Warning: I'm clueless when it comes to this. I have no idea how to do anything.] I have had my current PC, the ROG Zephyrus G502 (Link to it: https://www.amazon.com/Zephyrus-Portable-GeForce-i7-9750H-GU502GW-AH76/dp/B07VF88TMR), for almost a year now. Since I got it, it's been running a solid 30-45 FPS on Minecraft with next to no mods on servers. I got in to Fortnite for a while, and it was around that FPS as well. However, the FPS has been slowly decreasing and I'm currently running around 20 FPS in Minecraft. I tried to get in to Overwatch, but my PC gets about 12 FPS on it, so I can't really play that. It's getting worse, and it's quite irritating. I have no idea how to fix this, and all of the online tutorials don't even feel like they're speaking English anymore. I've tried resetting my PC (twice). Can anyone help me?

ive had my pc since april this year and everything had been fine, my main game is destiny 2 and i would cap my fps at 145 and would always stay around there very consistently, now randomly its a struggle to get 120-110 fps on same exact settings and every thing is the exact same, cpu and gpu temps perfectly fine and everything looks fine, but something is clearly wrong. anyone know what could be the cause of this for reference i have a 5800x and a 3070ti.

Hello, I was hoping to hopefully resolve this problem I've been having for so long, I've tried everything I could possibly think of to resolve my FPS lag and stutters in games such as Valorant. It stutters even more when I start bunny hopping. These are my specs: • MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8G Graphics Card • Ryzen 5 2600 CPU • Corsair Vengeance Pro 64GB RAM • Corsair CX550 Powersupply • Gigabyte B450M DS3H Motherboard • Corsair iCUE 465x Case Things I've tried: • Reinstalling Windows 10 • Performance Plan set to Ultimate Performance • All Windows 10 telemetry and background processes turned off, removed all bloatware, etc... • Setting the process priority in Task Manager to High • Updating Nvidea Graphics Driver • Updating AMD CPU Chipset • Tried using Process Lasso to set game priority to the highest, also tried using specific cores and edited the affinity to no luck • Disabled Hardware Acceleration in all applications • Tried using the lowest graphics settings possible in Valorant • Set all of my Nvidea control panel settings for the best performance over quality • I have tried enabling and disabling game mode and setting it for the highest performance in graphic settings • Disabled all Visual Effects in Windows 10 Performance Options • Added a 32GB paging file size to both my hard drive and SSD • Set Process Scheduling for the best performance of programs • Set the msconfig boot settings to use all of my cores and set timeout to 3 • Edited some registry keys to optimise my system, keys edited: NetworkThrottlingIndex, SystemResponsiveness, GPU Priority, Priority, Scheduling Category • Used CPUCoreParking to utilize my entire CPU when using programs • Checked for errors within my drives, optimised and defragged them • I also ran a User Test Bench: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/57428314 • Tried disabling fullscreen optimisations for Valorant, tried running it as administrator, and changing the High DPI scaling override • Used SFC /scannow in terminal as admin to see if there were any issues with Windows and I got the results:

Yes... I know fortnite is a dead game but I can't find other games to play for the time being. For some weird reason, my GPU (RTX 2060 SUPER) is not being used to its fullest extent. Only 20-40% is utilized and my CPU is running 60-70% when I open it. Some of the 3D textures appear to be super low resolution. I'm running at about 130 FPS out of 200 with Massive stutters. My main screen is 2560 x 1080. Before this was a problem, I was able to get about 140 FPS all ultra setting including motion blur or a flat 200 fps at all low with no stutters. It's not a problem with the fact that DX10 was discontinued because I was able to play normally whilst they changed it. If you need more detailed information about my pc, please reply. Thanks for the help.

Ive played Dauntless since when the game where in the beta/alpha or whatever they called it, and back then i had a ryzen 3 2200g paried with an 1050ti and the game ran great, and a short while later i got the rx 480, and i tested the gpu while the game was in beta/alpha still, and it ran even greater! if u remove the fact the gpu reached 90c somtimes! but now, when its fully release whenever i play with the rx 480 which should be A LOT better than the 1050ti, u think it will be even better but no , i get TONS of freeze frames, and i cant figure out why. With the 1050ti the fps usually just dropped to 40 then back up to 60 directly at HIGH settings. With the rx 480, at LOW settings, i get freeze frames that can stay up to 10 sec, (avg 3-5) and i dont know is cuz the game is fully release but still got some bugs or if it is my gpu giving up. Ive undervolted the rx 480 too, it got 943mV at at max, while the MHz is at max 1190. i did it cuz otherwise the temperature would go up to 90c when playing in the beta, and it is pretty stable too. now when i play it stays around 65-75c. Can yall give me some tips what i can try/do? i cant understand why my rx 480 got worse performance than a 1050ti in dauntless.

(Sorry if i posted this under the wrong category) Hi guys. So after i got my pc i havent really been impressed by the performance in GTA 5. I have an i7 8700k and a GTX 1080, but somehow i still only get around 90 FPS, where according to other benchmarks, i should get a lot more. My drivers are up to date, and I have tried almost every combination of graphics settings. Any ideas?

Hey so I've noticed my fps on Rust is very low despite what it should be, I used to play on a 1060 and got a constant 60 fps but with my current hardware which is way better I only get around 50-80 fps the settings barely change anything about fps only about 5 fps difference from lowest to max and it's super weird. I've put all nvidia control panel settings to max performance and to use my 2080 super but it's still getting this low fps my gpu usage is at around 60-70% and cpu usage is about 28 - 40%

I have had this problem for a while since I upgraded to a GTX 1080 ti (because the GTX 780 I had was just as bad)... I think it might be a bottleneck issue or alienware issue (regret buying it). Anyways, I just want to get 300 fps+ and have tried literally everything from changing fps_max 0 and 999, to making sure all my nvidia settings are proper, vertical sync off (vsync), trying all launch options, autoexec.cfg settings, deleting all userdata from steam, and more. Can't figure out how to fix it doesn't go over 120 in menu and goes even lower in game. Here is my whole set up from CPU-Z https://valid.x86.fr/j1e4bl Please help me, just want to play csgo smooth lol. I have GTX 1080 Ti, Intel i7-4820K 3.7Ghz, 16Gb DDR3, 128Gb SSD (csgo is on there), 1Tb HHD

so basically when i play any game like H1Z1 or Fortnite i get random fps drops (usually under 10 or 20fps) caused by the GPU usage dropping below or to 20%. i have all drivers up to date and there are no viruses on my laptop as this is a BRAND NEW laptop, not old even a week. don't even try to tell me to reset the pc because when i try that it would jump back to w8 from w10. i need a simple solution, no going deep into the computer or nothing dangerous as i'm too scared to do so since this is a brand new laptop and i'm thinking about refund. there must be something which will FORCE the gpu to run at maximum power, nor even increasing or decreasing the game's settings helped. please help! laptop specs: https://www.czc.cz/hp-pavilion-power-17-17-ab305nc-cerna/226359/produkt this site is in czech language but you should be able to understand the specs at least or you can use the google chrome website translator. Hey folks! Yesterday, I made a post over on planning section on whether i should upgrade my PC or simply swap out my GPU. Since i only ordered the PC, and didn't build it myself, there may be question i can't answer. Now to the real question: What in the whole world is wrong with my "beast" 690 GPU? I see other people on Youtube, running games like GTA V https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMIfkRjGxj8, running on OK settings with fine FPS, while my card simply lags into hell with low FPS on the lowest settings. My PC's speccs looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/wyrWsF9.png Many people have told me that switching to a 960/970 wouldn't make any difference, but what i can tell from the tests that i did on 3DMark, i can tell you anything is better than my card: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/6672657 The system can run games like Skyrim fairly well on the highest settings, BUT without any ENB's of course. But that might be because of the fact, that it is slightly more driven by CPU power. An example would also be Mortal Kombat X, that lags like a stick stuck in the wheel. I average about 14 fps on low/normal settings... The only thing i can think of, causing these problems, is the fact that i had some boot problems back in February, and that i had to change the Mobo. The Mobo is the same series though (Z77). The earlier Mobo had OC settings on both the CPU and the GPU, and i don't know if this could be conflicting in someway, and alter the performance. Thank you for reading this far, i really need help :I

So my second 7950 just came in the mail today (bought it for $105 shipped). I've put it in my system, done a clean driver install, and made sure the crossfire bridge is properly installed. However, playing multiple games, I've noticed poor performance. I just installed the 15.5 driver for Witcher 3, but I still get around 40 fps (which is what I got with a single card). Looking at MSI Afterburner's on screen display, it shows both cards only doing about 30-50% usage. Not to mention, it shows GPU2 going into power saving mode and underclocking. This is the case in other games as well, such as Battlefield 3, GTA V, Metro Last Light, Dying Light, etc. I've never seen the cards go above 70% usage. My CPU is not bottlenecking, as it's a 3570k overclocked to 4.5 ghz. CPU usage in games is only 50-80% across all four cores in games. My PSU is rated at 1000W and is 80 Plus Bronze certified. What is causing this terrible performance? VSync was disabled in all games. Neither card got above 70 degrees in any game, and power limits were set to +20 on both cards. GPU-Z reports both cards are running in PCI-E 3.0 8X speeds. This performance is disappointing, and makes me wish more and more that I bought an Nvidia card when I first built my rig.

Ok, so this is what i had before: AMD athlon 64 x2 5200+ 2,6 ghz processer ATI Radeon x1950 4 gb DDR2 RAM 500 GB HDD Windows xp first then uppgraded to windows 7 500 watt power supply With this i ran tf2 just fine at max settings at about 200 fps. After some time my gpu stopped working, so i got a new one. I got the: MSI R9 270 gaming 2GB My fps is terrible now, it's for 1 all over the place and 2 is really low. even with everything on low with chris's fps config that makes the game look like shit but gives u about double the fps and also using dx 8. i have about 40 fps, and it's very inconsistent, sometimes it's 100 fps then it's 10 fps then it goes back to 40 and it makes my eyes explode. Now yes, i am aware of the fact that my gpu is getting bottlenecked like crazy and that tf2 uses more cpu than gpu and that tf2 is really badly optimazed. But how can a better gpu make the game run much worse? A bottleneck shouldn't make it worse than it was before, right? Did my cpu brake somehow or what? I have no idea what's going on, but i really wanna know how buying a new better gpu made games run like shit. not just tf2 btw. i have like 2 fps in minecraft. some games however are not really affected, like payday runs almost the same, a bit worse than before. black ops runs worse. half life runs fine but still worse same with cs source. CS:GO is the same as tf2 used to run it just fine, not so much anymore. And don't tell me something like "Update ur driver" i've already done stuff like that. Anyway. if anyone can explain this i would be very thankful also don't ask me why i got that gpu when i have an old cpu. it's a long story =)
