Here is my Setup CPU : Ryzen 5600g Motherboard : Gigabyte B550m DS3H SSD : WD Green SN350 1TB GPU : Radeon 5600XT SSD is installed in the M2A slot. The problem i am facing is that the SSD is capable of operating at 4 PCIe lanes, but instead it only works at 2 lanes which reduces the overall throughput. I have gone through every single settings in bios but there is nothing that can force it to work at 4 lanes. This problem existed even before i installed a GPU So i know for a fact that the system is definitely not running out of PCIe lanes since i dont have anything installed that utilises PCIe apart from this SSD and GPU.

Hello everyone.. The question might sound weird but i just want a second opinion.. My friend recently told me to build his gaming pc.. he had a tight budget so i was looking for deals.. and i found one.. i picked ryzen 5 2600 with a b550m aorus elite as a package for 100$ US, now considering his usage he won't be upgrading that 2600 for atleast a year or two.. since he doesn't use his pc that much.. so he has no problem if i swap his b550m aorus elite with my b450m pro vdh max.. Now my build has a ryzen 5 5600 which is overclocked to 4.8ghz all cores at 1.24v.. i compared these results online and i am in a luck with my processor.. this is a really good oc for 5600.. and i tried cinebench r23 for 6 hours straight and i had no issues with the stability ever i m using this oc for about 7 months.. Now i have a gen 4 nvme ssd.. and my current mobo support gen 3.. and also b550 aorus has some other great features like 3 pin argb headers.. also it probably would make more sense in my opinion to use that board with my 5600.. Still i want to confirm should i switch to that board? And is the vrm config better or atleast same on that board compared to b450m pro vdh? Since i do want to keep my oc.. i know i have a option to try it but i want to get some opinions before changing everything

I built my PC new, around 2 months back and it worked fine till now, this weird issue is occurring since a week or two. I highly doubt if its CMOS battery. Windows 10 64 Bit. UEFI. CSM is disabled. Boot priority is set to Windows Boot Manager first. Motherboard: Gigabyte B550M-K (BIOS: F1) Processor: Ryzen 5 5600 RAM: Tforce Delta 8GBx2 GPU: NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3070 NVME: Lexar 500GB SATA SSD: Team Group 1 TB

USB disconnection problems with Gigabyte b550m Aorus Elite
sparvel posted a topic in Troubleshooting
Hi, For a couple of weeks now my PC has not been very kind to me, and my USB devices keep disconnecting randomly, primarily while gaming. Theese are my specs; Gigabyte b550m Aorus Elite (just update the bios version today) AMD Ryzen 7 5800x CPU GeFroce RTX 3080 I have googled it over and over, I have disabled global c state from the bios, updated bios and tester other various things. nothing works. Most threads Ive found on this topic suggests its working with a newer bios version, but it has not solved my CONSTANT problems. I mean it almost every minute while gaming and it is truly frustrating since it worked fine for almost a year. If anyone could help, It would be truly appreciated. // sparvel -
My specs: 5700X 6700XT Phantom Gaming 16gb 3600mhz trident z neo 1TB nvme 650W MSI MAG bronze B550M steel legend (bios 2.80) AOC Q24G2 I tried to full install all the adrenaline drivers then it will cause the screen flickers like in the video below. My pc work fine with the Pro version 22Q4 and some Adrenaline version with driver only, not the full install one. I reinstalled Windows 10 or 11, DDU, changed different ports (DP, HDMI) , disable windows auto driver update but none of them works. Does anyone have a same problem? How to fix it or should I take my GPU to service center. Thanks guys IMG_1960.MOV

Hello, i dont if this is the right channel for my question. I have an Intel I5 10400f with an Asrock B560M Motherboard and with that combination you can only use one M.2 Slot for Storage. I´m almost out of storage so i need a new SSD (I want an M.2 SSD because they are cheaper then 2,5 inch drives). Is it possible to use a PCIE to M.2 adapter with my CPU, motherboard combination? i tried to find someting online but i couldnt find anything i hope you guys can help me.

###### EDIT: FIXED - added solution to the end of this comment. Hello guys... I'm really out of options at this point. I've tried troubleshooting this problem for weeks and it's insanely hard because I can't reproduce my issue. specs: Gigabyte b550m-D3SH, Patriot Viper Steel 3200mhz (16gb 2x8 dual Kit), R5 3600, GTX 1660super, 600 Watt be quiet! Pure Power 11 CM Modular 80+ Gold I've submitted a Ticket to AMD on monday in hopes that they'll help me (while I still had some ideas to try left). But they did not answer, yet and I'm officially fully out of ideas now. 1. So what is the issue? My PC will sometimes roughly (0-4times a day at ~12h usage). Sometimes it happens a few times in less than an hour ... but that might be by chance. Or not. The crash doesn't produce a BSOD, nor can I extract any insightful errorcode anywhere. Windows manager logs only event ID 41 with no additional info. (System probably down too quickly to do anything). After my PC crashes it will just show "no video signal" on my screen, my keyboard lights go off and I can't hear any sounds any more etc. but my fans are still running. So power seems to have been taken away from my whole board but not the fans. Of course this might all be because of a faulty PSU but I sadly do not have replacements with me and I also recently moved into a new town because of a job and know almost no one here. So it's really hard to "swap out a part". Also I have researched and found a lot of similar cases with similar problems. Some apparently were fixed with some setting or uninstalling monitoring software, etc. some weren't. None of the fixes and suggestions I found worked for me, though. More in this regard later let's move on to observations first. 2. Patterns that seem to have increased the likeliness of my crashes It rarely ever happened during gaming, but sometimes straight after gaming and sometimes it happened during idle (I went away for 2-3minutes). Stress-testing never seemed to crash my system and the performance seemed in line with the setup I have. So the only pattern I could observe had to do with a change of system load from higher to lower. 3. Conclusions drawn and fixes tried Because of this behavior I assumed it might have to do with my system being unable to deal with the load going down, entering various forms of low power modes or just having issues when certain algorithms at play match perfectly into an unstable condition. This might all be wrong and it might even just be the PSU or something else failing but here is what it led me to try so far: Next to the first few standard things I tested (multiple 5-10min Stress tests of CPU, GPU and memtestx86 over night) I tried to - change power settings on Windows and my GPU to prefer performance, to not go into sleep modes and - change power settings in BIOS e.g. disable global C-States or Power Loading (which adds a dummy load on my system during low load). - uninstall monitoring software - disable XMP And a few more I don't remember. I also did not enable any overclocking or anything. Note that testing even just one setting can take more than a full day due to randomness of crashes. I have read up that some systems also have problems with RAM timing especially for the Ryzen processors but I couldn't find anyone with similar issues to mine related to RAM timings. 4. One thing that seems to help but I didn't test it long enough yet (and might be biased because of my assumptions and wishful thinking): I found this odd "solution" one person had for a problem that sounded exactly like mine. He uses Prime95 to permanently stress-test one of his cores. This apparently sets his system in a stable condition and he didn't crash for 11 days. I have crashed once since I tried that (2days now) but I think I have chosen a different stress test by mistake so it might work with the "correct one". However this is no real long-term solution I just want to test if this helps to at least minimize the occurences of my crashes. If it does do that to a noticable amount it might help push anyone with more knowledge than me into the right direction of a possible cause (and hopefully fix). I know I wrote a lot and I tried to be thorough but I am not perfect at getting "directly to the point" so I apologize for the long read. I hope my info provided is sufficient and gives you an idea. Do not hesistate to ask me for more information. I'd be really happy if anyone was able to help! ############EDIT############### !!!UPDATE (solved) !!! For me the issue got fixed when I enabled "Typical current idle" in my BIOS settings for the PSU. Apparently my PSU thinks my board doesn't need any power when it goes below a threshold in some sort of powersaving/efficiency mode.

Motherboard: ASRock B550M Steel Legend BIOS: (unknown) CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5700X RAM: 2x8GB Ballistix 3600MHz Storage: WD Blue 500GB(test only) PSU: Corsair CX500 PROBLEM: The PC won't turn on. How to troubleshoot? After connecting all the wires and turning on the power supply, a blue light flashes on the right of the M.2 heat shield. When I try to press the button connected to the panel, nothing happens. When I use a screwdriver, nothing happens either. How can I troubleshoot this? All the components seem to work on another PC. Could it be a BIOS issue? After reading the BIOS details on the manufacturer's site, I realized that the motherboard wasn't compatible with the 5000 series. But can BIOS compatibility cause a boot error like this? (PS: These were parts I had around, so compatibility doesn't matter to me unless it's the issue.)

Hey, so I recently bought the B550M Pro-P for my home server build and tested out multiple OS's whilst trying to get C-States to work. No matter what I do, my Ryzen 5 5600 won't enter anything deeper then C2. (Even though, I enabled Global C-State control and CEC 2019 Ready..) A friend of mine has gotton 7.6W in ryzen_monitor with the exact same setup, note: both maschines were at exactly the same load(0.1%) Some other things i tried included: - Changing to the "powersave" cpu-schedular - Disabling/Enabling CPPC - Contacting Gigabyte eSupport (trust me, don't do this. They were horrible) #===Specs===# MB: B550M Pro-P CPU: Ryzen 5 5600 Current OS: Ubuntu Server 22.04 with Bios Version: F16e (newest)

Hello, I noticed that b550m is cheaper than the b550. With my current plan for my custom built pc on PC specialist (UK) does the b550m skip on anything that I should better go with b550 non m If there isn't much that could harm performance I might as well cheap out and go with the B550m This is my computer I'm planning on CPU: 5700x GPU: 4060 (when it comes out) Motherboard: B550M/B550 Do let me know if you need extra info on the pc but I think I listed all the essential bits on this debate. I'm planning to play games and stuff like blender and stuff

My PC specs are CPU: Ryzen 5600g MoBo: ASRock B550M-ITX AC GPU: Zotac RTX 2060 6GB Storage: 240GB Inland Pro SSD, 500GB Samsung 980, 750GB HDD, 500GB HDD Software: Windows 11 I initial started with the 240GB SSD and so it is my Boot Drive and it's about to be my 2nd year with this PC. It's been acting up recently, it takes forever to get past the BIOS point to get to windows. Games also haven't been wanting to run, such as Escape From Tarkov and War Thunder. I don't think it is an SSD issue as it has been working fine and even in other machines it works normally.

I am seeking some much-needed assistance from this forum. Recently, I ordered several parts to build my very own PC: Asus B550M Plus Wifi II Ryzen 7 5700G Juhor 32GB DDR4 Ram Gigabyte P850GM 850W, 80 Plus Gold SSD WD Green SN350, 1TB, M.2 NVMe A Toshiba 1TB HDD 4 X white led 120mm T-dagger coolers Mid tower Panda chassis with fan and rgb controller and 1 RGB fan included While everything appears to be brand new and I have verified every connection, I am experiencing some issues. When I attempt to turn on the PC, nothing happens - no beeps, no image, and none of the fans start up. However, the keyboard and mouse do turn on. I would greatly appreciate any advice or troubleshooting tips from the knowledgeable members of this forum. Thank you in advance for your assistance! Ps.: Already Tried Shortting the PWR pins.

Just got this motherboard and a new Ryzen 5 5600G CPU Ram is 1 stick of G.Skill Aegis DDR4 3200MHz PC4-25600 CL16. PSU is Corsair 650w Everything turns on but it doesn't display on screen I've tried to ez flash the bios and move the memory around. I've noticed the CPU fan will stop for a split second before spinning again some times and the Light on the motherboard Blinks orange for Dram. At one point it would light solid red for CPU an even shit off after about a minute but now it's just doing the orange blinking.

Hello all. I just recently got parts for a new PC I want to build, I noticed that my system won’t boot when installing the RAM in dual channel. I discovered that the motherboard won’t pass from the DRAM light when installing any RAM sticks in any or both A1 and A2 channel (first two ones from the socket). This doesn’t happen when installing them in one or both B1 and B2 channels. Both RAM sticks seem to work I can boot with either stick as long as is seated in any B channels. I have updated the bios on the motherboard to the latest non beta version. I have re seated the stock amd cooler three times and look for bent Pins in the processor but i don’t see any. Although I dropped the processor earlier and noticed it’s damaged at the bottom near the outer most line of the pins. Could this be the problem? If not what else can I check? Here my setup: Ryzen 5 5600G. Asus Tuf Gaming B550M Plus WiFi. Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 16GB kit (2x8GB) 3600Mhz. NZXT C750 power supply. Crucial P2 NVMe 500GB SSD. Many thanks in advance.

So I have a Ryzen 5 4650G, Asrock B550m, Tforce Delta DDR4 320Mhz 2x8 RAM. Samsung 970 m.2 nvme 500gb. MSi A750GF PSU, ID Cooling AIO, and a few mpre fans from id cooling Had it setup, and now upon turning on the PSU, the Motherboard blinks, CPU and DRAM led blinks as well.. checked with ram and it should work? (correct me if i'm wrong) Am I missing something?

Hey, y'all. I just upgraded from a 2600 on a B350m Steel Legend hoping to fix this issue I was having with my RAM not even running close to XMP but I still can't get there, looking to see if anyone else has had the same issue. Ryzen 5600X B550M Steel Legend 4x8GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200MHz CL16 I technically bought the 4 DIMMs in two sets as I just ran two sticks for a while and bought 2 more of the same package when I had some more money. The first are Hynix C die, the second are Samsung B. I haven't had time to test using one set or the other to see if there's an issue with the Hynix C set or an advantage to the Samsung B set but I really don't think there should still be an issue AT LEAST getting up to the rating the package was designed and sold for. So, on the old system I would try to run XMP and it would do it's little memory learning thing and just get into a cycle that never ended of the GPU rgb flashing on and off, not getting anywhere, booting back up and resetting itself to 2133MHz (or me having to just power cycle manually), even if I had good settings running previously at, say, 2733MHz before. That got really annoying because I'd usually have to do a CMOS clear to get it to actually take new settings once that happened. Now, with the new motherboard and CPU I tried enabling 3200MHZ CL16 XMP, which should be completely supported by the CPU and MOBO and it still doesn't load. I've gotten it to at least run currently at enabling XMP to pull in proper timings and voltage but lowering it to 3000MHz and that works for now but I really want to see if anyone else has had the same issue, if you've seen any fixes, if there is something I'm missing, etc. Cheers, Bob

Here I am again, since the 23rd of march, I was given my first RMA number from ASUS for my motherboard (Pro B550M C-CSM) which would not work with a 5600G, but works fine with non G CPU's I had in stock (1700 and a 5900x). This was stated countless times in the tickets that this specific CPU did not work in this board, but was validated in a different board. In fact, 3x 5600G's have gone through the second motherboard without success, yet all work in different boards. First, they stated that, I have bought 3 defective CPU's, one from my local wholesaler, one from Best Buy and one from Amazon. Even though they worked in other boards, since it doesn't work in this board, they must be bad because the board supports the 5600G with the latest bios! (Which I have). Eventually, they agreed to a second RMA. This time they wanted my CPU to prove that the CPU was no defective. I get a message a few days later saying that the CPU is bad because they took a new Pro B550M-C CSM and it didn't work. So they closed the ticket and marks it as unable to identify issue. I contact my contact in the RMA (I'm at the direct email to a person stage of this fiasco) and asked if they actually read the RMA notes they requested or if they tested in a different motherboard other than a B550M-C. No they haven't, so I ask to validate in a different board. It works fine! So they offer me a baseline B series motherboard as a replacement that only has one DP, VGA and DVI, not a compatible replacement, not to mention it's not a business board. So it takes a few days and they send me a picture of this CPU supposedly working on the B550M-C and ask if its OK replacement. Of course, I'm super happy to finally be able to deploy this to my user. I get the box, no post, exact same issue. So now, I have had 3 boards at home that doesn't work with this CPU, they have tested 1 that didn't work and 1 that supposedly did work in their depot. In all of this, they ask the customer for an RMA form which they ask for details of the issue. So I marked all the troubleshooting steps, including POST beep codes from the speaker I installed. Stated that the 5600G will not post, no beep nothing, but stated that the tested 1700 and 5900X plus GPU works just fine. In my return motherboard, I get a repair report stating they have tried my CPU, didn't work, but the 5600X they have in shop works fine, so customer is at fault or has a bad CPU. Does anybody here have any recourse for me? Phone number, email, anything that will get me to speak with somebody who can actually resolve this issue? I am on Day 68 and I am exactly where I was on Day 1 because nobody bothered to read or try and resolve the issue. They have confirmed on their side that the board has issues with this board, say they found the unicorn board that does work with it, send me a broken board and now I'm back at stage 1.... I have chat transcripts, videos of the CPU starting to nothing, the RMA intake form, their repair report. I just want this figured out, cause their office of the CEO hasn't bothered to reach out either and now I'm at the look at forums in hopes somebody actually does know somebody who cares.. Thanks for listening to my angry rant...

5600g + B550M-C/CSM. QVL but not compatible?
Kombat posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
So I have a 5600G with a B550M-C/CSM a pro motherboard from Asus and I've had nothing but issues. Hoping for a bit of insight unless it really is just not working. So the board I got came with the 00401 bios or whatever, super early B550 bios. Install 5900x and discreet GPU, flash to latest bios, issue solved right? 5600g would make fans turn on, no display on that board, so I try the 5900x again, works great, flash the bios again cause it can't hurt, factory reset bios once more. 5600g does the same, fans spin up, no video out. Since the 5900x worked with a GPU, I tried the 5600g and GPU, no luck. So I tried the 5600g on my X570-E, worked great with both discreet and integrated graphics. So I assume it's bad board. So off it goes to Asus. They marked the old board as defective vga and sent me a new board (new SN) with the updated bios. Their turnaround time was 4 days including shipping amazing! I get the board back, I also borrowed 5600g at the local shop, just in case this chip was somehow bad?? Of course the new board doesn't work with neither 5600g, but work fine with 5900x and discreet. A bit of digging does not bring confidence. I found a few reports of the 5x00G APU's simply not posting. So I'm not sure where else to go. Tldr. -B550M-C/CSM, flashed latest bios, 5600g no post. - 5900x plus GPU on b550m-c works fine - 5600g on X570-E works fine -Asus deemed the motherboard defective and sent a replacement (updated bios on old inventory and did zero troubleshooting and sent it to me) - new motherboard with 2x 5600g, no display out. - Memory and CPU are both on the QVL (exact memory product numbers) - I'm not going to pull my main rig apart for more re certifying. Thanks for any help! -
Hey everyone, Recently I started to build my very first PC, however I have a problem with assembling the motherboard (MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI) to my case (Corsair Airflow 275R White) because there are no screws included neither in the case nor in the motherboard (see screenshots below). Only the case includes just the standoffs but no screws included. My question is: Is there any specific screw for these standoffs because I tried another screw which is fitted but I didn't want to use it, and if so what type of screw should I buy? Motherboard manual Page 20 (source) Case manual Page 2 (source) Thank you very much!
