I am crossposting this from Reddit to hopefully get some insight. I just upgraded my PC and I'm running into an odd issue. I bought a PC with an AsRock B450M-HDV R4.0 board with a Ryzen 3 2200G. I upgraded the CPU to a Ryzen 9 5900X and installed an ARC A750. I purchased a Thermalright Frost Spirit 140 to cool the CPU. I updated the BIOS to version 4.90 to make sure my CPU was compatible and I was able to enable Resizable Bar. I ran into issues last night where the PC would shut down almost immediately after getting into Windows. I had a Thermaltake 500W so I figured that was where the problem lied. I picked up an EVGA 750W PSU and the system is stable while web browsing and while discord is running. I attempted to boot up CS2 to see a comparison in frame rates and quality. As it was getting started the PC shut down again. Update: Black screened when downloading update for Phasmaphobia, then black screened when launching browser. It seems to not get as far as before. CPU and GPU temps are normal. CPU ~54 GPU ~64 Update: ran sfc scannow and it reported it had fixed errors. I checked the windows event log and there were a lot of errors, but nothing directly pointing to anything. Any suggestions?

Budget (including currency): 420-ish EUR ex. OS licence Country: Netherlands Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Basic workstation (email, browsing, text processing). Little to no storage used (30GB or so for personal files) Other details The current system is an HP Slimline 260-A180ND (Intel J3060, 4GB, HDD) with W10, bought new for 330 EUR about 6 years ago (a scam IMO). Dear reader, TL;DR: I would like advice on the motherboard choice and opinions on the case(s), optional are verification of SSD for boot and PSU choice. Currently picking parts for a workstation build, for a senior (90+). The current PC is not usable anymore in terms of responsiveness and loading times. A clean install did not help. I have researched and selected medium to good low-budget parts to the best of my abilities, especially on the PSU and SSD front. I have offered to find a prebuilt or build this person a new system. I have looked at prebuilts / manufacturer systems such as Lenovo IdeaCentre 3 07IAB7 i5-12400, HP Pavilion TP01-2055nd AMD Ryzen 5-5600G and Lenovo IdeaCentre 5 i5-12400, all between 500 and 550 EUR. They're probably not bad, but I can't do any servicing other than the RAM, if there ever is a problem (see disassembly videos). I am the person they call for tech support. Plus, I'd rather assemble a system with parts I know are of somewhat decent quality, as well as industry standard interfaces and form factors. I don't want to risk the lower tier systems (300-400 EUR). I keep some future-proofing in mind (larger/better than necessary PSU, SSD, CPU) for both ease of mind reasons, as well as the fact that I might buy/recieve this system in a few years if they don't need/can't use a PC anymore. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/LGHWwg Current selection (give or take a few EUR per item): CPU: AMD 5600G (130 EUR) CPU Cooler: stock (wraith stealth) Motherboard: A520M or B450, no model selected yet (65-ish EUR) Memory: Corsair DDR4 Vengeance LPX 2x8GB 3200 C16 CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 (45 EUR) Storage: Crucial P5 Plus 500GB NVMe (58 EUR), or anything with DRAM and pref. no QLC Video Card: iGPU Case: Sharkoon VS9 (45 EUR) Power Supply: pref. Corsair CX550 CP-9020277-EU (60 EUR); alt: Cooler Master MWE White 450/550W 230V V2 (60EUR, same price) (yes it's overkill, but not many >C tier 350W and 450W available + no massive price difference) OS: Most likely W10 to avoid change of environment, probably without license to save 110-ish EUR. Connectivity: USB mouse, USB keyboard, USB printer. Extra I/O on top is desired (for USB sticks etc.). CD drive not needed, but optional. Panel is VGA now, but supports DVI and HDMI. Total: 400-ish EUR 1. Motherboard: mainly picked A520M for the price, as the user needs no real features of B450/550. I can't really find any in-depth reviews or comparison tests for the A520M boards. Some B450M boards are around the same price, but I've read that you may be better off with the A520M in terms of up-to-dateness and quality (low end B450 vs low-mid A520M for that price range). Selection: MSI A520M-A PRO (63 EUR) Gigabyte A520M H 1.0 and Gigabyte A520M K V2 (65 EUR) Asrock A520M-HDV (60 EUR) MSI B450M PRO-VDH MAX (67 EUR) (4 DIMM slots) (new BIOS compatible with 5600G) Asrock B450M-HDV R4.0 (60 EUR) (new BIOS compatible with 5600G) 2. Storage: I've searched for a TLC SSD with DRAM, as it will be the boot and only drive in the system. Any other suggestions, or is this one OK for the system's purposes? 3. Cases: Not many options. I selected the following, but chose the Sharkoon for now for its fans, neutral styling, ventinaltion, no glass and I/O location. Aerocool Hexform Mini Tower Micro ATX (for the extra fans and open ventilation style), was 50 EUR but jumped up to 70 EUR. Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L (least desirable, I/O on the side) DeepCool MATREXX 30 Mini Tower Micro ATX (only 1 fan, but CD bay) Sharkoon VS9 (for extra fans and no glass, a big plus; downside is its quite large) Would love to hear your input on the motherboard choice, verification of PSU and SSD for boot and opinions on the case(s). Thank you in advance. Kind regards, JB

Hello everyone.. The question might sound weird but i just want a second opinion.. My friend recently told me to build his gaming pc.. he had a tight budget so i was looking for deals.. and i found one.. i picked ryzen 5 2600 with a b550m aorus elite as a package for 100$ US, now considering his usage he won't be upgrading that 2600 for atleast a year or two.. since he doesn't use his pc that much.. so he has no problem if i swap his b550m aorus elite with my b450m pro vdh max.. Now my build has a ryzen 5 5600 which is overclocked to 4.8ghz all cores at 1.24v.. i compared these results online and i am in a luck with my processor.. this is a really good oc for 5600.. and i tried cinebench r23 for 6 hours straight and i had no issues with the stability ever i m using this oc for about 7 months.. Now i have a gen 4 nvme ssd.. and my current mobo support gen 3.. and also b550 aorus has some other great features like 3 pin argb headers.. also it probably would make more sense in my opinion to use that board with my 5600.. Still i want to confirm should i switch to that board? And is the vrm config better or atleast same on that board compared to b450m pro vdh? Since i do want to keep my oc.. i know i have a option to try it but i want to get some opinions before changing everything

Hi, I'm new to overclocking and wanted to ask why enabling the XMP profile on my RAM cause my games to crash? I have an MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max and T-Force Delta RGB 8x2 GB 3600 mHz. I've already updated my BIOS before installing my operating system and downloaded the latest drivers for my motherboard (from the MSI support website). Some other things worth noting: I use an HDD as my only drive because I have yet to purchase an NVME SSD, I have a Ryzen 5 2600X and an RX 580. Both my CPU and GPU are running on their base speed. I've only tried boosting my RAM. My friend advised me to try running my RAM on its base speed (2400 mHz) and see what happens. And surely, my games run just fine. I'm just curious if there is a way to utilize the maximum performance of my RAM without having issues.

Is there anyone who can help me set up this weird ram (custom settings) which is giving me trouble from last 3 years. It works fine for like year or so and suddenly it starts acting up. like last night, everything was working fine and now if i put one stick from each, pc works fine but it does not work with 2 sticks anymore. because of this issue i sold my other rams and went back to dual channel memory. CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 Mobo: Tomahawk Max b450 (Latest bios) Rams: Corsair vengeance lpx cl 18 ( 8x2 3600Mhz) Things i have tried: - reinstalled amd chipset drive to the latest - reinstalled motherboard bios to the latest. - No XMP, everything in bios is default -Reseated CMOS -tried different memory slots for ram Please help, i'm thinking about moving to intel if this thing does not sort out.

Hi, new pc builder here. I'm planning to build my first pc and I wanted to ask if a Biostar B450MHP (used for couple of months by my older brother, works perfectly) gonna handle Ryzen 5 5600 and Radeon RX 6600? If no, what would y'all recommend?

Hi everybody, I have recently done some upgrades on my old gaming system. I have upgraded my CPU from a AMD Ryzen 5 2600 to a Ryzen 7 5700x and my ram from 16gb to a 32gb kit. I have upgraded from a WD blue SN550 1tb NVMe to a WD black SN850x 1tb NVMe drive. My plan was to reuse the old SN550 with a PCIe adapter card in my motherboard's lower 16x PCIe 2.0 slot as games storage. But for some unknown reason the SN850x is not recognised by the motherboard. Obviously the SN850x is a PCIe 4.0 card but my MSI B450 Tomahawk Max ii only supports speeds up to PCIe 3.0 my understanding is that this should not be an issue as PCIe is backwards compatible. At first I thought the SSD was DOA but if I swap the SSDs over and put the SN550 back in the M.2 slot and the SN850x in the PCIe adapter both drives are recognised. I have the latest BIOS (7C02vHB) installed on my motherboard and have reseated all of the components including the motherboard power connectors multiple times and have reflashed the bios and cleared the CMOS to no avail. I've tried playing with the PCIe settings and ran the system in CSM mode and have generally done what everybody suggests online. Does anybody have any bright ideas? The system is working fine in its current configuration but I wanted to use the SN850x as a boot drive due to its Dram cache, plus even running at PCIe 3.0 speeds it should be twice as fast as the SN550 but it's not while running at PCIe 2.0 speeds off the chipset in an adapter card lol Thank you in advance

Hi, This post is especially for MSI M450 Tomahawk Max users. Suppose you have 16GB Ram in your system right now and If you want to upgrade it to 32/64GB. Although this motherboard has 4 ram slots but the CPU memory controller (Corrected) on this is extremely poor, i have been using this motherboard for almost 2 years and this is what i came up with after a lot of testing and stressing. I have 4x 8GB Corsair Vengeance lpx 3600Mhz cl18 sticks. CPU: Ryzen 5 3600. Below are the confirmed, tested and stable configuration. (1 or 2 sticks of rams) - XMP Profile ON 1x 8GB Corsair Vengeance lpx 3600Mhz works on 3600Mhz Speed - Slot 2 2x 8GB Corsair Vengeance lpx 3600Mhz works on 3600Mhz Speed (dual channel) - Slot 2, 4 Below are the confirmed, tested and stable configuration. (4 sticks of rams) - XMP Profile OFF If you put 4 sticks it wont work by default, here is the work around. Put 1 RAM stick Turn OFF XMP Profile Go to Overclocking and in memory speed put 3000 or 31xx, leave the rest as default Save, Boot up then Turn off. Put all 4 RAM stick, Boot up. 4x 8GB Corsair Vengeance lpx 3600Mhz works on 2133Mhz Speed 4x 8GB Corsair Vengeance lpx 3600Mhz works on 3000Mhz Speed 4x 8GB Corsair Vengeance lpx 3600Mhz does not works on 3200Mhz Speed (use to work before but now it does not) 4x 8GB Corsair Vengeance lpx 3600Mhz does not works on 3600Mhz Speed Ideal Condition: Use single 16GB stick Use 2x 16gb stick for total 32gb ram Use 2x 32gb stick for total 64gb ram Bios version: 7C02v39 Don't want to go higher than that because when selling this can not be sold to any ryzen 5 3xx series. after that bios update. Thank you for reading this. I hope this post help user deciding what to purchase when you want to upgrade or purchase new rams for this motherboard. Have a great day.

Bad RAM or bad CPU (or something else)?
TheBill2001 posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
TLDR: What is the best way to determine whether my system instability is because of bad RAM, bad CPU, or something else? Especially when memtest86+ showed no error after an overnight test, but Prime95 did. Hi, my PC specs are: CPU: R5 3600X RAM: Kingston HyperX Predator 16GB (8GB x 2) HX432C16PB3AK2/16 (which is compatible with my motherboard) GPU: GTX 1660 Motherboard: MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC Cooling: Deepcool GAMMAXX L240 V1 (pretty sure it's a V1) PSU: Corsair RM750 (CP-9020195-NA, almost 2 years old) / Cooler Master MWE 750 Gold (dead) OS: Arch Linux (what I used before) / Endeavour OS (reinstalled to this) / Windows 11 (for testing) Location: Vietnam (might be important) Recently, I have been facing crashes on my PC, from games to OS. A common pattern is that games would crash with a Segmentation Fault (SIGSEGV) error. Linux would sometimes hard crash without any log being written. When it did log something, however, various error messages indicated memory error (hence maybe not GPU). The problem is I have run two memtest86+ (latest version) overnight with about 10+ passes each. All of which report no error. However, mprime, the Linux version of Prime95, did report errors at random intervals. However, errors appear more consistently on the smallest test about 15 - 30 minutes in. I also installed Windows 11 to test a game (Oxygen Not Included) and Windows just crashed and rebooted 30 minutes into the game, not even a BSOD was shown. I have tried various settings in BIOS: disable PSO, change XMP profile, disable XMP, undervolt and overvolt (using offset); update BIOS to the latest version ( 7B85v1H1), and downgrade to older versions, still crashed. I also tried to switch the RAM sticks around, and test with only one of them installed, still crashed. There are various reasons why I am uncertain about which component is the issue: My R5 3600X is pretty much the first batch (or pretty close), I bought it at launch. And there are some reports I have read over the years stating those batches were not... the best. My CPU could only boost to 4.0 GHz on heavy load rather than the 4.1 GHz advertised, and eventually drop to 3.9 GHz. Typically idle at 40-50C, clock speed never goes above 4.3 GHz. (This could be because of insufficient cooling, but what can I do when I live in a tropical country without an air conditioner.) Prime95 smallest test puts strain on the CPU, yes? I got errors from stock settings meaning bad CPU? The seller only covers 3 years (36 months) warranty and I'm in my fourth year of owning it, so no warranty. I overclocked my RAM with Ryzen DRAM Calculator before. Eventually just used the Memory Try It feature from MSI because it is convenient. Maybe the RAM is bad because I have run it overclocked for a long period of time? Memtest86+ showed no error after two overnight tests. My previous PSU (Cooler Master MWE 750 Gold) had a short and it would prevent my PC from booting up. I replaced it with the Corsair RM750 which was fine for a while until now. Could the old shorted PSU cause some damages that only now causing problems? Is my motherboard still good? I don't have spare parts to do more tests :(. Money is limited so buying new parts is also limited. That's why I need to be certain.- 4 replies

Hello, I tried to upgrade from a 2700X to a Ryzen 7 5700G on my PC. However, when I install the new CPU, nothing happens, the computer doesn't post and the DRAM light is lit and flashes to the CPU light every once and a while for a fraction of a second. Specs: Aorus b450 M motherboard on the F64 bios DDR4-3200 RAM (Geil, GPR432GB3200C16ADC) Ryzen 7 5700G (w/ the Wrath Max cooler that came with the 2700X) Reinstalling the old 2700X results in the computer booting just fine. Here's what I've tried: Resetting CMOS (although I may have done it wrong) Updating BIOS and trying different BIOS versions Waiting 5-10 minutes to see if it'll boot Removing 1 memory stick (leaving 1 left) (still didn't post) Trying another memory slot (didn't post) Removing all memory (didn't post or do anything different from when there is RAM) Going and exchanging the CPU for a new one I don't know what to do now. I don't have access to any other DDR4 ram (only DDR3 which I don't think will work?). Nothing seems to be broken given that I can just reinstall the old Ryzen 7 2700X and the PC will boot without issue. Any suggestions?

Last few days I have been looking for a reliable & fast 2 TB NVMe M.2 SSD. I was eyeing the Samsung 990 Pro as I saw a decent deal on my favorite PC Part shop, however, after checking my motherboard I realized something; I have a B450 TOMAHAWK MAX which has a Gen 3 x4 M.2 Slot ("Turbo M.2: Delivering speeds up to 32 Gb/s using Gen3 x4") Is a 990 Pro really worth it for the price here (160euro, keep in mind I am in The Netherlands, so component prices are higher than in the US. That's normal) considering I will never be able to use its rated peak speeds anyway until I upgrade to a motherboard with Gen 4 (which I most likely won't for a few years, I think). So what other 2 TB (or 3/4 TB if they fit in my budget of 180euro) SSD's would be good for me? Please keep in mind that prices & availability can differ a lot in the Netherlands (e.g. Sabrent SSDs are either tough to find or way overpriced). I personally just use the NL version of PCPartPicker to check: https://nl.pcpartpicker.com/list/ My use-case is mainly 3 things: - Software Development - Gaming - Graphic Design I am also buying a Akasa M.2 PCI-E SATA RGB LED (https://www.akasa.com.tw/search.php?seed=AK-PCCM2P-04) to put my old SSD's in (Currently have 1 in my MB M.2 Slot and 1 in a Akasa singular PCIE to M.2) All advice & tips are extremely welcome. Thanks in advance

I am building my first pc and I watched videos that it is better to underclock using PBO2 to get maximum efficiency. I have a Ryzen 5 5600G 2x8GB 3600Mhz I'm stuck on choosing between MSI A520M-A Pro and Gigabyte B450M-K. Which of these support PBO2 and its curve optimization? Thanks guys, would be a big help!

Right now my bios is 1 step lower from where they support the 5000 CPUs. What if right now i upgrade my Bios to the latest, will my current CPU which is ryzen 5 3600 works or after the latest bios i need a 5xxx CPU? Please confirm. Thanks PS: i have read somewhere that if i do the latest bios, i will not be able to used the 3xxx gen ryzen CPUs eg: ryzen 5 3600

So i have MSI B450 Tomahawk Max motherboard. If i plug Aux cables (mic, sound), it started spamming plugged in/out. I have tried both Audio drivers that are on MSI B540 Tomahawk Max website. One thing is, if i play any sound, i see green bars moving up/down but there are no sound in headphones, or in speakers, both speakers and headphones are fine, tested on other devices. What could be the reason? Is the Audio hardware on the motherboard is defective or what should be the cause? (tried both, front and back jacks) I have tried driver reinstall/uninstall and all those stuff that are on google. Any luck?

Hi! I recently got a "new" pc, MSI B450 Tomahawk Max with Ryzen 3600. When I had stock cooler, it showed that I thermal throttle. I changed cooler to Gamer Storm Assassin III... and hwinfo killed me. As you can see, I thermal throttle on 60*C max. I DO NOT overclock it, everything is at stock. Anybody has any idea WTF? I have to go to work, so if you need any more info, let me know.

Budget (including currency): USD $1,590/- = PKR 250,000/- (roughly) Country: Pakistan Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, Video Editing (Premiere Pro + After Effects), 3D Work (Learning Blender), Streaming Long story short, I've been on a laptop for as long as I can remember and have always wanted a Gaming PC. Finally there's some hope for getting myself my first one. Also, this won't be a long story short, hold on. My current laptop is an MSI GS65 8RE with an i7-8750H, GTX 1060 6GB, 32GB (2x16) DDR4 RAM 2666MHz - upgraded from 2x8, thought it would help with video editing, not sure about that one smh. Here's the PC I roughly put together on pcpartpicker after going through Linus' and Jayz' videos, the build I made before watching Jayz "It's EASY to spend too much on PC parts... Here's where to save money!" was going a bit higher in price and I was able to bring it down so I can save money for peripherals including monitor (the budget I put up is very rough, could go higher or lower). I've already mentioned what I want out of my PC, I am a Film-Student and love to Game as well. I work with a lot of 1080p and 4k raw footage (4k less so), and dabble in After Effects as well. After my build I want to get into Blender and learn that, I already have experience with 3ds Max on my current laptop. I LOVE to stream for zero viewers on my twitch so I have that going on. Now on to the fun stuff, Gaming. I retired to Dota 2 after playing singleplayer games for the better part of my life, I also love fps games such as Apex Legends, Valorant, Warzone. Other than competitive games, now I want to get back into the new singleplayer games coming out, the beautiful stuff (preferably max settings @ 1080p). For competitive games I would prefer running above 144 fps and match it with a monitor that handles it. What I want: I would love if someone tells me whether or not I can do all of this in this build. If I can further optimize it, either cut costs or pay a little extra in certain areas. I'm not opposed to totally radical ideas as well that make sense, like waiting for GPU prices to fall down, or opting for a temporary GPU till I can get a 30 series card. Apart from this, the laptop I currently have right now has a dead CPU fan which I ordered from AliExpress and would be here soon, and I plan to sell this and use the money for the PC build. This laptop was priced around $2,000/- when I got it, now it's priced ~$1,700/- brand new. But I got it at the original US price $1,560 as I got a relative to bring it for me through Newegg. What should I sell this laptop for now in my market (Pakistan), with a condition of 8/10. What you should know: I converted all the prices from my currency here in Pakistan to USD so most of you can understand where I'm coming from. I took the average price going in the market right now over here for these parts. The 3060ti was bought by my friend for the listed price a month ago, and now it's several hundred dollars more (~1,300), mostly out of stock. I still have the 2x8 RAM I took out from my laptop in place of 2x16. I will put it back in and also remove the Crucial M.2 SATA 1TB (iirc) as well for either selling or using in the PC build if I can(?). TL;DR: I finally get to build a gaming PC, hopefully. I need help with optimizing the build and some suggestions so I don't make dumb mistakes.

Where do I check if this processor will be able to run a GPU on the top PCIe slot @ x8 or x16 speed? My 3000g (costed 400 brl) only ran @ x4. When my GF stopped playing games, we tried mining on the RTX 3060 but it needs x8 or more, so it locked at less than half mining power :c Here in Brazil CPUs are vanishing from stores, so all I got money for is a 3200ge (700 brl) or the 2200g (680 brl but worse in every way than the 3200ge). I also could spend a lil bit more on a R5 1600 (850 brl, seems cheapy for the 6/12 and is the AF 12nm, has no iGPU tho). R3 3100 (900 brl) an 3300x (920 brl) seem not worth, given that the 1600af is cheaper. Also, should I be worried about anything else with the R3 3200GE or the R5 1600AF? I know the 3200ge is a lower power more efficient 12nm version of the 3200g (14nm) and the 1600af is a "downclocked 2600" (also 12nm). About the 3060: damn Nvidia "tried" to give gamers a way to buy a GPU, and ended up cutting them from mining entirelly, while miners with better hardware (cpus and mobos with tons of pcie lanes) are buying them anwyays... This computer world is making me go insane >:C

However when I booted everything up the CPU was always ramping up the fans and running anywhere from 43 - 70 degrees Celsius. -I've updated the Bios -Installed all the motherboard software -Installed the latest AMD drivers But to no avail. Here is a screen shot of my system info on idle down below... If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Thanks :)

I recently bought a TP-Link Nano Bluetooth receiver (Bluetooth 4.0) so that I could use my Realme wireless earphones (again Bluetooth 4.0) with my PC. But the audio quality was like an old radio with frequent artifacts which were really irritating.. Restarting sometimes helped tho.. So please bear with me, this was my situation: My case Corsair Spec-01 has separate audio and mic output.. I had a PowerA Xbox controller which had 3.5mm jack for headset.. But it also had some artifacting issues occasionally.. So I bought a bluetooth receiver, but it also has bad audio quality majority of time Both, the controller's and bluetooth receiver's quality improves if restarted the system... After reading some article, I found something like devices not getting enough power which affects their performance (Especially bluetooth receivers) I've connected the following devices to my PC: Keyboard (USB 3.0) Mouse (USB 3.0) Speakers(for usb power) (USB 2.0) Controller (USB 3.1) Bluetooth receiver (USB 3.0) I'm thinking this way because the receiver works just fine when connected to my very old laptops O_o Thank you for bearing with me

Hello! I just built my family a new pc. I used a B450m mortal max (3700x) and I have a Samsung 860 Eve 250GB which I just bought and I was planning on installing win10 on it from my other SSD which is a Kingston sm2280s3g2/120g. I was planning to use the Samsung in the first m.2 slots because that pce3 and the other in the slower pce2 slot, but neither my SSD works nor for that matter shows up in the slower secondary m.2 slot. It would be a lifesaver if someone could help me fix this! Thanks!

Hi internet! I´m new in all of this so here we go! I had recently change my motherboard because the last one wasn´t good for overclocking, but I had a few problems with the RAM that, hopefully, are gone, but now I have another problem. I actually have sound in my monitor, and i doesn´t used it a lot but with the other motherboard worked that, if i unplugged the jack of the Razer Kraken the sound went to the monitor and vice versa. I tried a few things about changing the drivers and touching some settings of Realtek Audio Console, but for now nothing works. This is my build: -AsRock B450M Steel Legend -Ryzen 3 3200G 3,8Ghz -HyperX Predator RGB CL16 3200Mhz -Cooler Master Silencio S400 (HD Audio connector for one jack for mic and headphones and ALC892) -(In service) XFX RX580 8GB XXS I hope somebody can help me, or maybe give me a tip to get it work until there is an official solution

Hi everyone, So I got the 3070 XC2 Ultra a few days ago and paired it with: Ryzen 5 3600 16 GB 3200 RAM (verified, it's running at 3200) 650w EVGA G2 80+ gold B450 Tomahawk Max I got the game installed on a 1TB WD blue m.2 NVMe. When I play battlefield 1, I get around 40-50 fps in the heat of battle. My monitor is 1440p, 144hz (benq, vsync). I read that a lot of people seem to hit a lot higher in bf1 and bf5. So am I missing something? In Lords of the Fallen I get around 80-90 fps CoD Warzone i hit 50-65 fps In Overcooked! 2, I hit my limit of 140 fps (controlled by Nvidia Control Panel), so the limiter is working. I somehow expected my fps to be 100+ in almost all games that are available right now in ultra, were my expectations too high? In Time Spy I hit a little over 10k (below picture landed just under.. so it hovers a bit between 9900 and 10050 I'd say), in fire strike a little over 20k with both showing as "Great". Mobo: 1 x PCIe 3.0 x16 slot (PCI_E1) 1st, 2nd and 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen™ processors support x16 speed Ryzen™ with Radeon™ Vega Graphics and 2nd Gen AMD Ryzen™ with Radeon™ Graphics processors support x8 speed 1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 slot (PCI_E4, supports x4 mode)1 3 x PCIe 2.0 x1 slots PCI_E4 will run x2 speed when installing devices in PCI_E2/ PCI_E3 slot. I do have a wifi card installed, would that mean that PCI_e4 is now running at 1/8th of the 3.0 x16? This part confuses me. When I run GPU-Z, I see PCIe-x16 2.0@x2 2.0 (instead of x4 I guess?), is that 2x slower? or not important at all? Since I have a custom desk, it's hard to move it to the first slot. But if there's actually a good reason to do so, I will take out my saw lol... Things I've tried: flashed bios updated b450 drivers to latest Clean install of 3070 driver Used these settings for Nvidia Control panel: I'm running DirectX12 I also asked this question on Reddit, and got a few suggestions but unfortunately they didn't fix anything. So hopefully folks here might have additional ideas! Thanks a lot in advance!
