So as the title says, my headphones just broke. They are Audio Technica M40X's. I can still wear them while I wait for a replacement however they will only last so long as it is broken at the pivot. Currently i'm looking at either replacing them with an identical pair, upgrading to the M50X, or jumping to Sennheiser and getting the HD 569. I don't have any brand preference but I do want them to be over ear and not require an amp. Budget is max $250 CAD or $180 USD

Sup! I'm looking for headphones within 3000 INR ($45 USD). I've selected these - Steelseries Sibera 200, Audio Technica ATH M20x, Sony MDR-XB450, AKG K518 (last option). I'm more leaning with Siberia 200 because it's super cheap and has good reviews on all the websites. Next one is M20x, I selected this because I know the greatness of how M50x performs and I've used this headphone for 3 days. Because of that I selected it's affordable variant, M20x. XB450, because there are some decent reviews that I found on some websites. My requirement; It doesn't matter if it's Over-the-Ear or On-the-Ear headphones. decent bass. neat quality. doesn't have to be gamery look (but I won't say no if it has the gamery look). decent lows and highs. Please help me select! Also, let me know if any one of you have Siberia 200 and tell me about it. Cya! PS: I'll be purchasing from these sites - Amazon.in, Flipkart.com, Snapdeal.com.

I own Kingston HyperX Cloud core's which are similar to the cloud's but they don't come with extra pair of ear cushions. My current ear cushions are tearing off and i'd like to replace them, but the problem is that Kingston doesn't provide those officially where I live. So can I use the M50's cushions for the cloud core's?

I have a hyperx cloud 2 for gaming and an audio technica ax3is for travelling and I would like to step up my audio game a little. I have only the motherboards integrated sound card and the sound quality isn't the best, it's a budget lga1155 board. I thought about a focusrite audio interface and a fiio e10k , but I'm not sure it would make the sound quality much better as these are very low end headphones. What do you guys suggest? Saving up for a better pair of headphones or buy a dac/amp/ai for the current ones, and if the latter, do you have any product recommendations?

what the sweet spot for a DAC/amp or a sound card, where it sounds cleaner, but I'm not over spending on something that I can't hear b/c of my headphones.

^^ I don't want to spend over £50 on both of these (total) I also need isolation for train use and a good wire which won't bite the dust, or not to soon at least . TIA Are these any good? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Brainwavz-Angled-Memory-Foam-Earpad-Black-Pleather/dp/B00ZY8PGJI/ref=pd_sim_23_13?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=D00D4272PB5B46K00H54 Or should I go for the Hybrids?

So I have a pair of V-MODA Crossfade M-100(over ear) headphones and a pair of ATH-M50x headphones as well as a Creative Soundblaster E5 DAC. I don't know much about specs of headphones, so I'm hoping you guys could give me an idea of what would be 'better'. When I say 'better' I mostly mean depth and bass, rather than clarity; the M50x definitely has more depth and bass than the M-100, while the M-100 has more treble and clarity with lackluster bass. So my question is this: With the right equalizer settings (31, 62, 125, 250, 500, 1k, 2k, 4k, 8k, 16k), what headphones should technically have their 'flaws' covered by this DAC? By that I mean, would the M-100 benefit more from the increase of bass from the DAC, or the M50x benefit more from the increased clarity? I know headphones are all different, despite their specs, so I'm just hoping any of you audio wizards can tell me what technically (LITERALLY if M50x), would sound better. Specs (V-MODA lists less compared Audio Technica ) Type: Over-Ear Circumaural Frequency Response: 5 - 30,000Hz Sensitivity: 103 dB @ 1kHZ 1mW Impedence: 32Ω M50x: Type: Closed-back dynamic Driver Diameter: 45mm Magnet: Neodymium Frequency Response: 15 - 28,000 Hz Maximum Input Power: 1,600 mW @ 1kHz Sensitivity: 99dB Impedence: 38Ω

Hi everyone, I'd like to know are the leather earcups of Audio Technica ATH M50X durable enough to withstand from the exposure to sunlight or ambient temperature in a slightly hot country (Southeast Asia)? I've always wanted to get myself this pair of headphones after reading and watching their reviews but one thing I'm worried about is the leather earcups. I'm rocking my HyperX Cloud headphones and their leather just gradually peels off and I wonder if the brand quality matters on this issue. Therefore, I'd like to know some useful opinions from you guys especially ATH M50X users about your experiences on these headphones. Thank you very much!

I have just replaced my old Blue Snowball with an Audio Technica AT2020, but it isnt working correctly. Under my recording devices, its there: https://gyazo.com/ac53a4e950112e1e2e5e9a7fbfda7af7 When I set it to "listen to this device" I can hear it: https://gyazo.com/e2a0204a799f4de70dc8ae04976dfc7a https://gyazo.com/2528d90d1c466f3f8ab5ade8a552f813 But wh I try to use a program like discord, nothing happens: https://gyazo.com/b2a256bd7ed3b0540e838e74f40bfad4 >In this gif I am talking out loud, the 'sound' you can see there is a hissing sound- nothing related to the sound I am making. I have Realtek audio drivers, I have uninstalled them, re installed them, my old mic still connects fine to programs. I cant find anyone online that has had the same issues as me, please help ;-; edit: more complications, Audacity can see my mic, but nothing else I have tried.

I am looking to buy a pair of headphones for college. My current earbuds are the Sennheiser CX 3.00 and are functioning well, but I would like to get a nice pair of over ear headphones with better sound. 3 options I have been considering are the Sennheiser HD 569's, Audio Technica ATH-WS99BT, and the Audio Technica ATH-WS770iS. All 3 of these are closed back headphones due to the fact that I would like for them to provide some noise isolation as well as not leak sound. My preference in sound is one that leans on the bass side(hence the "Solid Bass®" ATH models) and I would prefer not to spend over 200$ on headphones(the ATH-WS99BT's are currently on sale). The headphones do not need to be wireless or have an inline mic; therefore, I was wondering if anyone could be of any assistance in helping me choose a pair to buy. I primarily listen to EDM as well as some rock and rap music and the music would most likely be played from my laptop so I don't believe I will need an amp to use these models to their full potential(any input on whether or not an amp will help and which one I should buy would also be nice). Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Wired: Pros: Better sound fidelity. Cheaper than any comparable wireless headphones. No battery needed. Can be used with various audio sources. Cons: Attached to you source of audio. (Limited movement) Cable management. 3.5 mm can break off and get stuck to audio source. Some headphones require additional amplification. Wireless Pros: Extremely convenient. Built in controls and mic. (Most) No cable management. Can also be used wired for better sound quality. (Most) Cons: Not the same audio fidelity compared to wired headphones. You get a low humming sound. (Some)(Not audible while audio is playing) Battery doesn't last forever. Sound latency. I made this after a friend of mine who has always used earbuds that come with phones was interested in getting better audio. Since I own and have own several kinds of headphones both wired and wireless he ask me for advice and what he should choose. I went into so much detail that he said I should make "TL:DR" and posted somewhere as well as make a video. If you would like to see the video I made you can check it out. It was recorded in 4K as well.
