Hey everybody, I was using discord yesterday with some friends, and, out of nowhere my mic stopped working. I tried everything I know, I updated my drivers and also rolled them back, I disabled and enabled the mic from device admin, tried switching from rear to front panel, tried another mic just to check and it also didn´t work. In one of my tries, when I disabled and enabled the device it started to work as normal but it got cutoff again after 5 seconds, and everytime I test the mic I only hear static and sometimes my voice but also after a couple of seconds it cuts off to silence. I looked through the internet and have encountered people who have the same problem but solved it updating the drivers. My motherboard is a gigabyte H470M H and my headset is a Hyperx cloud stinger. Oh, and I tried switching some things from the realtek interface but it doesn´t really change anything. I hope somebody has an idea of what the problem is or at least some solution, I´d be very thankful for it.

I did a fresh install of Windows 10 because I wanted to format my SSD and HDD. Whenever I set my headset as the audio output now, audio and video suddenly turn slow motion. The computer itself continues to work normally, just the sound gets obnoxiously slow and choppy. If I'm playing a video on youtube, it also turns slow motion. If I change the audio output on Windows to realtek it immediately works normally, but no sound on the usb headset. I tried a non usb headphone and it works fine. Connecting to Alexa through bluetooth also works. The headset, Edifier G2 II, worked perfectly before resetting Windows. I've also tested it on my laptop, and it still works fine there. I've tried: - Reinstalling realtek drivers (from the motherboard website) - Uninstalling the headset drivers from device manager and downloading them again - Updating headset drivers through device manager (it didn't find a newer version) - Installing the headset drivers from the manufacturer's website Any ideas?

Hi all, I'm having some issues with my PC. I've been getting random freezing and one BSOD and fortunately enough was able to get the DMP File that said the following after using a DMP Analyzer: On Sun 3/7/2021 1:35:58 AM your computer crashed or a problem was reported crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\030721-9703-01.dmp This was probably caused by the following module: portcls.sys (0xFFFFF80444C012BE) Bugcheck code: 0x3B (0xC0000005, 0xFFFFF80444C012BE, 0xFFFFFA0FC8B94860, 0x0) Error: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\portcls.sys product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System company: Microsoft Corporation description: Port Class (Class Driver for Port/Miniport Devices) Bug check description: This indicates that an exception happened while executing a routine that transitions from non-privileged code to privileged code. This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. The crash took place in a Microsoft module. Your system configuration may be incorrect. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver on your system that cannot be identified at this time. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: ysusb_w10_64.sys (Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver, Yamaha Corporation). Google query: ysusb_w10_64.sys Yamaha Corporation SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION I'm assuming the crashes happened due to some sort of audio driver bug, like the DMP file suggests. Hello, I recently got a Shure 55 Deluxe mic as a gift, it was pretty ok until I decided to uninstall and reinstall realtek audio drivers to get rid of fuzz in the background, my mic then stopped working and when it worked it was very low. After hours of trying to fix the problem, I did a complete clean install of windows, after setting my new windows up, the problem was still there. I went into settings, I put the microphone volume at 100 and microphone boost at 10db, it was not as loud as it was before, and the mic quality sounds horrible, worse than before, 20db is unbearable it sounds amplified. I installed drivers from the motherboard website too. The problem still persists. The microphone is very good, I have seen tests and reviews online. What the hell is going on? It's not my wires that's for sure, they were working great until I reinstalled realtek audio drivers the first time. Can anybody help me? Thanks,

Good day everyone! I have had this laptop for almost 3 months now, and just this morning I noticed my left internal speaker is not working at all. It is not a balance issue since both sides are at 100%. I googled and found that it may be my Realtek HD Audio driver is out of date. I downloaded the new driver from the Realtek website and after launching the application it had uninstalled and then installed the new drivers after 2 restarts. I went to play something on Youtube and my left speaker is still out. Uninstalled my audio drivers manually and installed them and still nothing. I have no idea what to do and I hope there is nothing physically wrong with my speaker. Any help on how to fix my issue would be awesome.

Hello, so usually I don't use my motherboard's audio ports since I just use headphones which I plug in using a usb soundcard. However, I recently got some speakers which prompted me to discover that the audio on my mobo isn't working. I then tested to see if my tower's audio ports -- they aren't. this is my motherboard: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-Z170X-UD5-rev-10#ov What I've tried: Checking if the device is disabled Installing/reinstalling realtek HD Audio Drivers While windows 10 shows that realtek drivers are installed, they are not showing up on device manager Going to device manager and updating through there Multimedia audio controller Tried flashing new bios** not sure if the flash worked; so this could still be an option though I don't think this should be an issue since my audio ports on this PC used to work on previous windows installs Considering reinstalling windows to see if that fixes it, though I would rather see if I can fix it without having to do that (lots of stuff to backup/save...) Screenshots of my playback devices (disconnect and disabled are shown, USB devices unplugged): Screenshot of device manager: I'm assuming my problem is with the "Multimedia Audio Controller"

Hello everyone, I need some help. I am currently still using a 1st gen i7 870 along with a GTX 1060 6GB. Yes I am already on my way in upgrading to a Ryzen soon. On my current system I am using an Asrock H55M-LE, the problem is I am using a Windows 10 64-bit system, the audio drivers for my system wont work since they only released a Windows 7 version. My microphone needs some adjustment with its sound and on my other system, I am able to adjust it with the drivers of the audio, on this system I current cant. Now my question is would a sound card be able to substitute for this?

Hi everyone, So I purchased the Brand New Rodecaster Pro Audio mixer and have connected it to my PC via the USB C connection. Everything shows up fine and have updated to the newest version. I immediately ran into problems with playback of audio. So I tested everything by playing a youtube video, everything sounded fine and then as soon as I stopped the video I got a high pitched tone, which only went when I loaded another audio source, Sometimes however the only thing that stops this is to power the unit off and on again. This happened on both versions of the software. The other problem I have is at totally random times everything will become distorted, again if I chose a different output and then go back it resets it but again its just a matter of time before it happens again. It seems to happen more when I change programmes etc. I have used a zoom H6 as an interface as well as a Behringer 1204 USB and have never run into this problem before. I am just spit balling while I wait for Rode to get back to me, on the off chance there is anything I can try to resolve this. Any help would be awesome Specs CPU: Ryzen 1700x Mobo: ROG Crosshair Hero VI RAM: 32gb Corsair 3000MHZ DDR4 GPU: Asus Strix GTX1080ti PSU: Corsair TXM 650 Watt power supply

Hello everyone! It's ya boy Solid Solid Gold once again! I ran into a very interesting issue with the Asus B350 Strix motherboard. Anytime I update my audio drivers, any time at all, they get borked. Audio does not work, testing tones for audio does not work. Yet the system reads a successful installation. I have tired the three latest drivers and they all have the same issue. Anyone else have this issue and is there a fix? I trying uninstalling myself. Using the setup to uninstall and every time audio dies but the drivers are working. Except they are not.

Hello, The past day I've been having issues with my Realtek HD Audio Drivers. In some instances especially when I'm watching videos or a form of audio has a high pitch the audio becomes a bit distorted and robotic sounding for about 10 to 20 seconds and then doesn't occur until usually 10 minutes later. Originally upon discovering this issue, I thought it was my Logitech G230 headphones or it was caused by my Wavlink Laptop Docking Station which I use to plug into my laptop for my monitors, keyboard, mouse, headset, etc. After further inspection and testing both my headphone and laptop speakers, I discovered it's only really the drivers causing the issues since I could hear the distorted audio on my laptop speakers as well. No matter of tweaking the volume settings could prevent it. So far I've tried, Rebooting the system, reinstalling the drivers completely. Not sure what to do at this point. I got to thinking & started wondering if my MSI B350M Gaming Pro Motherboard's drivers are up-to-date or not. I've had audio & some network issues off & on but just assumed they were to related to Windows 10 & my ISP. I'm not even sure how to check if my: Ethernet, Audio, Chipset or Raid (even though I'll never use raid) drivers are current. On the support page for my board there's only 1 set available for each, which implies there hasn't been an update to them. Although the release dates are well after the older, more stable BIOS I'm running so I'm very confused. 1: Are those drivers usually included in new BIOS's? 2: How do I check what my current Ethernet, Audio, Chipset & Raid driver versions are?

Hi guys, recently I posted a topic where my combined audio jack wouldn't let me use my built in mic when connected with some other audio device. After the amazing help of Pesukarhu he suggested I would delete every realtek audio driver and just use the ones windows 10 gives me. After every restart though, it would reinstall the ones from Asus' website. Disabled the realtek drivers and let it restart. After some magic and some kind of new realtek drivers everything is the way I want it now. But one other thing stopped working - the Asus utility ICEsound and it did make the sound a lot more crisp and better to hear, but sadly with this new driver it says it's not compatible or something .. can anyone help me and suggest a solution to my problem ? The current realtek driver doesn't let me open it's EQ (it doesn't open at all actually)

I'm using a lenovo laptop and i've done a clean install to windows 10 pro, all fine but it keeps automatically installing this Conexant Audio driver which sucks and completely ruins the quality of sound, I've never heard anything so bad, it has a ton of static and no bass. It also installs these two programs "Conexant Smart Audio" and "Conexant HD Audio" I've gone to the device manager, uninstalled the drivers, then uninstalled the programs from the control panel. after that it uses microsoft's drivers which are 1000x better, much clearer quality and good bass, it sounds like my iPod. But as soon as I restart it goes reinstalls this stupid conexant crap. Can anyone please shed some light on how I can completely get rid of this and just have microsoft's "High Definition Audio Device" Drivers or any better alternative? WITHOUT having conexant automatically install every time I restart. Thanks!

The problem I currently have is that my computer is not transmitting sound to anything apart from HDMI ports. By this I mean that the usual method I use is with a Digital cable to my Receiver (Pioneer VSX-329) which then either transmits to my Speakers or - depending if it's connected or not - my headphones. This worked flawlessly until I got a new GPU from my brother who got my old one since he bought a new GPU. (My main GPU is a 970 from Asus, my old is a 270x also from Asus, and the -new- GPU is a 750 Ti. Once that 750 was inserted into the System and i started the Computer my regular transmittion didn't work. I tried removing the GPU but that didn't solve the problem. (I insterted it afterwards again, i will retry removing it to see if it works after I post this) The funny thing is I can still transmit sound over HDMI to my monitors which have a speaker function which also works fine. This is the things I've tried to far: Restarting the Computer Plugging everything out, then in again Installed new Sound Drivers after that didn't work I fully deinstalled Sound Drivers and reinstalled new ones I isolated the problem to the PC since I can still transmit sound over other cables to my receiver and it works fine The problem is not confined to the Digital Cable since even using a Aux-RCA adapter, (which also works with the Receiver) I attempted to directly connect my Headphones to the PC, which at first lead to it flashing on and off in the sound Menu, but now doesn't show up at all I really don't know what to do right now, i've tried what i know to solve the problem, but right now the only option I see is doing a full reset of my system and reinstall windows and hope that fixes it, and if it doesn't maybe buy a new mobo or just a new sound card.
