I know I'm a fanboy of the Intel Arc A380 due to its host of features at what's generally an e-waste tier price, but come on, this is entirely worth it if you were planning to buy the new Assassin's Creed Mirage game and/or this Nightingale game (TBH I'm unfamiliar with either title). Is there a limitation in .exe extension ?, i just found a freeware (enigmavb) that can convert a normal installed program into a portable version. I got bored and try experimenting with the converter. I tried convert blender, portal, and vlc into portable version and they worked flawless except portal because when i use the steam version it won't work (obviously). And here is the problem, i tried to to convert a full instalation of assasins creed 4 + DLC (pirated version) and its converted succesfully into one gigantic executable file - 18GB of .exe file. And when i try to run it, it won't work at all, it says "this app can't run on your pc" even with administrator thing. So i was wondering is it a limitation of the exe file itself or there is just some blocked previleges to run exe file more than tolerable size. because when i convert blender, portal, and vlc, the exe file is under 4gb and run without any problem. is there anyway around i can get this 1 big chungus file to work ? or just became a piece of garbage ?. thank you in advance for the help. (the problem) (the size of the file)

I'm trying to wrap my head around what's causing these micro-stutters in my game. I can't exactly figure out what may be causing it but I have tried my best, with my limited knowledge, to isolate the cause to no avail. I don't encounter these problems when playing FPS games such as Apex Legends and R6: Siege, however, I did notice similar stutters in other open world games such as AC: Valhalla and The Witcher 3. Genshin Impact Clip: Genshin Impact Clip 2: R6 Benchmark: R6 Benchmark Stats: Attached File AC Valhalla Benchmark: AC Valhalla Benchmark Stats: Attached File PC Specs: OS: Windows 10 Pro CPU: i7 10700k GPU: Gigabyte Gaming OC RTX 3080 Mobo: Gigabyte Aorus z490 Elite AC Ram: Kingston HyperX DDR4 2666 C16 2x16GB SSD: Samsung Evo 870 1TB (Game Install Drive) SSD2: Kingston UV400 240GB (Unplugged as recommended) HDD: Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB UserBenchmark Score: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/37484389 Note: This is a newly built PC and the only things that I kept from my old one are the Kingston UV400 SSD and Seagate HDD. (I had the same problems with the old PC as well.) Also, my brother has an identical PC and based on what he has told me, he is not experiencing any micro-stutters in Genshin Impact. Things that I have done thus far: *Conduct a clean install of Windows 10, SSD was reformatted for this. *Clean install of the NVidia Drivers *Windows Updates are.. up to date *No anti-virus programs running *XMP Profile 1 activated (which is weird that Userbenchmark flagged it as a concern) *Ran the game on both SSDs, but still get the microstutter. *Ensured that the RAM was slotted as per MOBO manual *No overclocks set *Mobo BIOS updated *Activated Windows' Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling and have placed the games on High Performance Mode *Power option is set at High Performance *NVidia settings have also been set at Prefer Maximum Performance *Followed a guide that recommended I change the BCEDIT Timer Settings to the ff: bcdedit /set useplatformclock no bcdedit /set useplatformtick yes bcdedit /set disabledynamictick yes *Unplugged the Kingston SSD as recommended by a forum poster. *Deactivated Windows' Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling. Any help would be much appreciated as I cannot even begin to imagine where to start given all this. Thank you for your time.

Hi, I got a Dell laptop G515 5587. I5-8300H, GTX 1060 Max-Q and 256 SSD. The game is in the SSD if you are wondering. So, I have checked the thermals both of CPU and GPU and the problem it's not thermal throttling. Now, this is what I know, and please take my word for it: Once every minute the game seems to suddenly switch to Intel Hd Graphics because the usage of the GTX drops below 10% and the Intel HD graphics peaks at 98%. And exactly during that change, obviously, the frame rate drops from around 50 to 9 or even 1fps. Then, exactly once the usage of the GTX goes up and Intel HD graphics goes down, the framerate of the game returns to the usual value. I've tried to decrease the graphics settings, even to play at 720p, the results are higher fps normally, but the same dramatically drop once every minute. Thus, the game is unplayable. In the Nvidia control panel, I have selected the GTX as the main graphic processor. I have read that it was a known issue last year but it should be fixed in the newer patches and I got the last one. English not my native language in case I've committed a major error in the writing. So, any suggestions? What can I do?? The game is very expensive and this is obviously the game´s fault.

Hey! Specs: MB: ASUS ROG Strix Z270F Gaming RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000MHz 16GB CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K Skylake Prosessor GPU: ASUS GeForce GTX 1080 ROG Strix Gaming Everything i stock! I have just bought this stuff (2 days old) except the GPU. All my harddrives are formatted. And i only have windows, latest drivers and the games. GPU temp is at 65 degress CPU temp is at 55 degrees This is while gaming! Here is the issue: Im playing assassins creed origins, yes, its poorly optimized. But i have turned the graphics down and set the max fps to 60. Now, the game runs great in the open fields where i tested this. I have constant 60 fps. NO FPS DROP! But i still get a weird stutter. Its not a hard stutter, kinda soft if you know what i mean. Kinda difficult to explain, but hopefully you understand it. This also happens when im playing Destiny 2. Can it be any of my harddrives? Just to get it out of the way, i had a i7 7700k, but because of heat problems i change to i7 6700k, and this happend with the i7 7700k aswell. I formatted the harddrives both times so its a fresh installation. FYI

I'm sat here playing AC Origins on a 1080ti with a 4k screen and its great! The bad news is I'm stuck with a lowly 4 core i5-4670k at 4.3 ghz. CPU usage is constantly at 100%... 4k with 70% resolution scaling is where I need it to (mostly) maintain 60fps. The thing that sucks is that my GPU usage is around 60-70%. I understand that despite there being a single digit number of processors with higher per core performance, I'm bound to run into a few bottlenecks here and there with certain games that want more than 4 cores but I suspect that isnt the issue here with all this multi-layered DRM. What on earth is Ubisoft doing? If this game is pegging my CPU, then why aren't the consoles with their 2.3ghz jaguar cores all currently on fire? And apparently the top end i7s are having the same problem? Lets say if hypothetically I was to somehow attain a copy that didn't have DRM somehow, would that resolve my problem? Has anyone got a fix / solution? It kills me playing this game and seeing my GPU usage so.

Hey guys I've been noticing this for awhile now, sometimes when I wake up my PC and go to play a random game. My FPS will unlock from it's 30 fps cap and go back up to 60. I can only fix it by restarting my PC and it's beginning to really piss me off. Does anyone know how to fix this? I've tried changing it back in Nvidia Control Panel or Nvidia Profile Inspector but with no luck. Any help would really be appreciated as I've given up hope on solving this... My system specs are: GTX 1050 ti SC AMD FX 8300 (3.9ghz) 8gb of DDR3 ram 2 HDD's in raid (0) (Sorry for any bad tags, as I don't know whats causing this issue.)

Good day! I am thinking about some upgrades and have been encountering some stuttering and framerate drops in Assassin's Creed Syndicate (unity doesn't even enter into this discussion) and modded versions of Skyrim and Mass Effect (1-3). During this, I noticed by GPU (GTX 1060 6gb) is hardly being used but my CPU (i5-6500, Evo 212 cooler) is maxing out. Am I hitting a CPU bottleneck, and if so, what would be a good CPU to go to? I'm aiming for 1080p and stable 60 FPS. I am aware that some mods cause unexpected issues. Thanks in advance.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-45719240 https://blog.google/technology/developers/pushing-limits-streaming-technology/ Not sure if there are still any spaces open, as it is limited to the US apparently, and it just seems they are trying to poke their toes in the water as a kind of technology demo at the moment. It could be good for some people with potatoes & lower powered PCs if the lag isn't too awful, also, you need a Google account & Ubisoft account and a reasonable internet connection from the sound of it... So there's that.

So i just bought AC Origins and noticed, that the textures of some NPCs were not loading and instead the placeholder texture was displayed. After some research i saw, that this Problem was apparently already fixed. Now i don't rly now what to do, bcs changing the graphics settings doesn't seem to change much. Specs: i5-7600k oced to 5.0 Ghz (stable) GTX 1060 6 GB VRAM 16 GB RAM I already set the OC of my CPU back, but that didn't change anything. Do u got any ideas?

hi, my rig is i5 8500 @3.9ghz 16GB 8x2 DDR4 @2666mhz and 13-14-14 timings RX vega 64 @1600mhz core and 1100mhz memory @1.25v 2560x1080 screen with freesync i play all games at max screen resfresh rate of 80 no problem, except for Assassin's Creed Odyessey, i play the game smoothly at 80fps outside the cities and in the sea, but when going into the cities frams drops to low 50s even with freewync gaming is not smooth and feels sluggish. im playing on high settings, low clouds and medium shadows, adaptive anti aliasing. what can i do more. i spend most times in citis and cant play at this framerate, for some reason freesync doesnt feel smooth in 50s FPS. the game is on uplay. thanks.

So I bought AC Syndicate and I started playing yesterday and for my surprise the game doesn't run very well on my rig and I'm pretty sure my PC is well capable of running this 2015 game just fine but it is not what's happening... It doesn't matter how I set the graphics. Ultra, High, Low, etc. VSync on or off and full screen or not it doesn't makes a difference. I've already done some research on it and I've already tried a lot of 'fixes' and none of them seem to work. My video card drivers are up to date (Adrenalin 20.5.1) and with the latest VBIOS, my game is up to date, my Windows, chipset drivers, as well. the only thing is not up to date my BIOS (I'm not confident on updating the BIOS because my mobo don't have a BIOS selector) and I'm bringing this subject of BIOS and Chipset drivers because a lot of people say that Ryzen is not well stable and even some RAM kits won't work with it. Also my Windows install don't have more than a month and a few days since I bought my new CPU and GPU last month and I've erased everything from my SSD and installed Windows with the SSD empty, so it was a fresh install. This is my actual system: Ryzen 7 3800x (stock). Asus B450 Plus Gaming (BIOS v1820). 2x8 GB Patriot Viper Steel 3000 Mhz. AsRock RX 5600 XT Phantom Gaming. SSD Kingston A400 480 GB. XFX XT 500w. Here's a video showing what exactly happen, as I've said changing graphics don't make a difference, I've downloaded RivaTuner to see whats going on with my hardware when the stuttering happen. In the video you can see the usage percentage of both my CPU and GPU drops when the stuttering occurs, I thought it could be the game runing on my slow HDD so I've moved the game to my SSD but it changed nothing. Here's a video of how the game is running, and I've also attached some screenshots of my hardware on CPU-Z / GPU-Z. Oh and just to add, the only other game that had this similar problem was RDR2 but changing the API from Vulkan to DX12 fixed the issue. But AC Syndicate don't give you the option to do that and with RDR2 only my GPU was going from high usage to low usage but with AC Syndicate both my CPU and GPU are doing that... And also my RAM kit is a 3000 Mhz CL16 one, but I couldn't manage to boot the system with the default 3000 Mhz CL16 DOCP profile it would only boot with 2400 Mhz but I've used Ryzen DRAM calculator and manage to get a stable 3000 Mhz with CL14 and it indeed seems to be stable but I don't know if this is causing the problem, my knowledge in RAM isn't great... I'm really lost with all of this, I took some screenshots and detailed my hardware parts so someone can say if there is a problem with my CPU and RAM or other kind of problem, I don't know. If someone could help me I would be very thankful because I want to play this game but I can't, the stuttering is really bothering me... Thanks for your attention btw if I've wrote something wrong I'm sorry, English is not my main language.

It was released today, quite recently. Crackwatch on Reddit has it up, but I'm pretty sure it would be against TOS to link. So that's Denuvo 4.8+VMProtect cracked. The only real question is if they did it through good old fashioned cracking methods or figured out a way to use MELTDOWN to grab the encryption keys and worked backwards from there. If the latter, DRM will effectively cease to exist until Coffee Lake processors can no longer run games.

This is just..... beyond stupid. Source: https://kotaku.com/ubisoft-accidentally-releases-assassin-s-creed-origins-1822135300 Not much more to this. Ubisoft is just f**king stupid to do this in my opinion. You made a mistake, okay, just leave it out and let everyone play. What friggin difference does a week make? I'm sure it has something to do with marketing and contracts and making the marketing team feel like they actually do something important beyond needlessly increasing the overhead of making games. I just.... I do not understand how this company is successful with all the dumb shit they pull. You are now free to post your digging memes. Edit: My tone could probably have been better here. I am more laughing at Ubisoft over what I see as a comical mistake, followed up by an even more comical boneheaded move. Not actually angry at them. Edit the second: I'm also kind of shocked because I've never heard of a company accidentally releasing a product early, much less unreleasing it especially when people were buying it anyways.

Hello Community, since quite a while now I am dealing with a strange problem, first encountered in Assassin´s Creed Unity. To me it seems to be something related to the Anti-Aliasing, as the AA in general works kind of poorly in this game for me. For now I just want to find out if these flickering white dots along the sides of textures as presented in the video and the screenshots below are a normal thing happening in this game. I recognized them after I changed some components in my rig, and I am pretty sure, they were not there before, but nothing I tried to get rid of this issue worked so far, and I tried a lot. So I am wondering if they just might be completely normal? When I did some research for this, I only found few peoply complaining about similar problems, so to me it seems like a problem. My old rig: i7 2600k ASRock P67 Pro 3 NVIDIA Geforce Gtx 660 Ti, wich I replaced with the 980 Ti, and no problems so far. Kingston DDR 3 RAM 2x 4 GB LC Power 750W Then I replaced nearby everything but the Harddrives (2x Western Digital 1TB), my actual rig: i7 4790k ASRock Z97 Extreme 6 NVIDIA Geforce Gtx 980 Ti Corsair DDR 3 RAM 2x 8 GB be quiet! 600W First I did a clean install of windows 7, then I switched to windows 10. The problem occured on both versions. On FXAA they are barely visible, an MSAA x2, x4 and x8 as with TXAA they get pretty annoying.
