Two years ago I made a decision to get a Prebuilt. I didn't want to have the headache to build myself a pc or invest the time to search for PC parts, so I went for the easy way and bought an HP Pavilion TG01-0039ns. At first the computer was running great, it ran almost all games and I could edit with Photoshop and Premier. But after some heavy use over the months the pc started to go way slower. So I opened it up and check what it could be. And I found out that with Ryzen cpu's single channel memory could restrict the performance of CPU. And I started saving for some RAM, but mean while the performance was going from bad to worst. And after some months i changed the RAM, and i started to go a bit Better for a few months, and finally HP did a Bios Update that killed my pc. Games started to go very slowly, Premier started to crash A LOT and Photoshop too (I study and work from this PC so it is essential that my PC works). So I finally called tech support. And then said to reinstall windows (Making me delete all my files), and formating my PC twice. And they said that we will do one last test and if doesn't work we will send it to the repair center. So after one week I call to do the last test and they say that they cannot do anything because I modified the PC by putting new RAM. So now I am broke, with a PC that works only with half the performance that it used to work.

Hey guys, si i've seen that some people have made transparent HDDs, so I wanted to make RGB transparent HDDs. I also wanted to make the RGB syncable with the HDD usage. What do you people think ?

Hey, guys this is a pc I built a few months back for my old company. I know it’s not what you typically see on the forums but I thought I’d share it. We needed a rugged field test computer for data collection on our lawnmowers, and didn’t want to over-pay something like a toughpad. I am a mechanical engineering student finishing up my Jr year so I offered to combine my passion and trade. My goals were to make a durable element resistant pc of under $1000. Like I said the computer would be on a lawnmower in an incredibly dirty and dusty environment with moderate vibrations. I mounted the motherboard on vibration isolators and attached the pelican case to the mower using another vibration isolation system. I used waterproof cable pass throughs to run the cables to the outside of the case. Since the pc needed to run on a mower it needed to be powered off 12 volts. I thought about getting a 12v pico power supply but found that Opus one I purchased had some delayed shutdown features I wanted to data collection, and it could boot the pc when the mower was turned on. After assembling the pc and mounting it on the chassis I ran a lot of tests on it. I heated the ambient room to 45°C (113°F). After running prime95 max heat test the CPU hit a max temp of 69°C and the max temp inside the case staying at about 52°C. This was a little too warm for my comfort but this test was worst case scenario. I do wish I had the chance to test water-cooling but unfortunately I decided to leave the company before I had the opportunity. I also wasn't sure how AIO liquid cools do with sub 0°C temps. Been playing this game for the better part of 2 years now dreaming of the time when i could start doing serious stuff, and i finally got my big break, after grinding away ranks/reputation for the empire at Cemiess station for what seemed like forever, i finally got offered a long range passenger mission to the holy twins for 24 million credits . Spent the last 2 days flying out there and just arrived this afternoon, using my Asp Explorer with almost nothing other than advanced discovery scanner. Used the services of Felicity Farseer the engineer before i left, and got my range up to 39.7 ly per jump ( 34.5 with passenger cabin and scanner) i managed to complete the 12,500 ly journey in 12 legs of 30-32 jumps each, covering each 1000 ly leg in around 25-30 mins, which i think is pretty good going, some people do these missions with like 20ly jump range i've heard Now i'm here i thought i would make the best of it and found at least 10 systems with black holes, one of which has 3 of them ! Im not gonna risk any cowboy stuff this far from home, was tempted to ride the neutron highway for a while but havent had much practice with that and don't want to lose all that discovery data crashing into a neutron star. i did a quick bit of napkin maths before i left which gave me approx 750 jumps round trip, which could bag me an extra 15-20 million in just the discovery data alone, so here's hoping i don't fuck up on the way back haha, there was a big sketchy patch of brown dwarves about half way that worried me a bit Pics attached, i slammed into a blackhole nearly spitting coffee over my monitor, it terrified me. And also found a lovely neutron star to pose with. What are you Commanders up to at the moment ? CMDR Darklanky

sooo u moved from rtx to 10-series so i can reduce the price significantly. i found 1060 laptop which is asus. around 1000$. can u guys reccomend me 1060 laptop that is affordable

Hey all, I want to pick up an 8700k soon. My 3570k has been a champ, but now it can't keep up with my gtx 1080. However, I can't seem to decide on a Mobo/RAM combo. Ideally, I want a board that strikes good a balance between cost and features, along with the fastest possible RAM for the new CPU. Also, does NVME provide enough of a boost over regular SSD for me to upgrade right away, or am I OK with holding off until prices decrease a bit more. Thanks

So I just sealed my bubble mailer and realized there is some considerable amount of space where I could've put in more buble wrap/cushions, however I already sealed the bag. Could I cut into the sides and put in more bubble crap in it and then reseal it with tape and hot glue?

So, I've been working on a project for the last few months and i Hoped i could get a feedback here! I've started this idea after i spent more than 3000 bucks on my new work-station which, after the introduction of the 5th generation of intel's processors it immediatly became outdated. But this is tech world right? Now, imagine spending 300 bucks instead of 3000 for a computer withouth making compromises, imagine just spending those money for a Raspberry Pi-like computer and being able to drive adobe premiere pro, playing the latest games with the highest settings. It's impossible you would say. This is where TLS '' Thin laptop System'' comes in. You are paying just for a thin client like laptop, with no fancy graphics card or ultra fancy ssd. All the hardwork is being done on a remote server, which hadware is constantly monitored and updated. You can render high-ASS 4k videos in a bar, on your laptop, with the same files you have at home. It could be even more effective if seen as an ecosystem. But let's stop the advertising for this moment. I want to know what you think, don't come and say ''it is impossible bla bla bla'' i just want to understand right now which could be the target for this kind of stuff. And of course i want to understand your opinion about this! I've just started the setup, I will keep you updated. UPDATE 1! I currently have two dl380 g8 with the following configuration: -Dual Intel Xeon E5-2690 8 core -64 GB of DDR3 RAM -Nvidia 1 GRID K2 (to get) -2x 750 Redundant Power Supply -2x 10gbps Fiber Card For the storage i am using: -MSA2000 + 2x P2000 g3 SAN controller -2x Sata Array -24x 1TB WD Black -SSD for boot. UPDATE 2 - GRID K2 ARRIVED! The new card just arrived, it was a pretty easy installation i must say, plug the card, tweak bios, install vbi, and you are pretty much done! The streaming quality improved a LOTTTT Finally i was able to stream games at 1080p at 60 fps without any problem! I've run Uniengine Heaven benchmark and the results aren't that bad! ULTRA SETTING - MSAA x2 1080p - I've configured the vm to the the highest preset: the 280q with a full access to the processor and 4GB of vram. The stream was pretty smooth and it was using just 10mbps of bandwidth! The compression of the stream through the card is really impressive. I guess that 3000 bucks are worth something. Screenshot:

so Iv'e been getting a lot of bluescreens lately, like more than 3 per day. I play games, and a lot of them. Recently, every time iv'e left a game of any kind has been because of blue screens. Budget is anything under $120.00 USD Im not planning on doing SLI so yea I dont want something super crappy either I dont know whats good for intel (i have only bough amd till now) so if you want to teach me up on the boards and socket types dat be great!

LOL the file Extention made me lauch. it says ...main.ass lol! Couldn't ubisoft find something else for a file extenction?
