Hello everyone, I'm hoping to see if anyone has some advice on what I could do about this issue with an AsRock Motherboard that my brother has, I moved all of his parts to this new motherboard and it receives power and even turns on(Fans spin to life lights turn on HDDs start spinning), yet it doesn't post. The Motherboard in question is the X570 Taichi. The only new parts to this system are two new storage devices (a 2TB WD blue & A 1TB Samsung 850 Evo), new RAM (Corsair Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 2x4GB) and the X570 Taichi motherboard itself, Although I feel like I should mention that the EPS connector on the motherboard itself has an extra 4 pin connector along with the normal 8 pin that is plugged in that I could not plug in with his current PSU that he has. The Dr. Debug Code it gives out after every boot attempt is 04 but everything I've found in relation to this code is a Memory or CPU issue yet everything is installed just fine, I even reinstalled the CPU and RAM and tried with the old set of RAM (Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x4GB) and even moved slots, used one or the other stick by itself and got the same code. I am a bit of a loss even after looking through the manual and online for similar issues to mine. The current set of parts are as follows CPU Ryzen 1600x RAM 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro Motherboard x570 Taichi GPU Gigabyte Windforce GTX 1080 SSD 240gb PNY CS900 SSD Kingston 256 SSD 1TB Samsung Evo HDD 2 TB WD Blue HDD 1 TB WD Blue PSU Corsair RM650X Any and all advice that could help is welcome, thank you for your time.

I recently decided that building a whole new rig would be more fun and future proof than trying to upgrade my 12yo. tower. I went with: ASrock x570 pro4 Ryzen 5 3600 Corsair Vengence LPX 3200 Sdram 16gb(2x8gb) after trying and failing to post with Corsair Vengence RGB 3200 Dram 16gb (2x8gb) MSI Radeon RX 580 WD 500gb Nvme m.2 SSD and a EVGA 650w Psu After assembling everything in the Deepcool Matrexx 50 ADD-RGB 4f case and attempting the first boot, the CPU and DRAM PSC LEDs stay on and solid, I attempted reseating the ram to make sure I didn't accidentally leave either end of them not pressed in all the way and the same LED's still stay on, its cycled through probably 20 or 30 attempts with 0 post. there are no beeps or anything else coming from the board. The Corsair vengeance RGB ram was the first i tried as it was suggested by newegg while i was adding the MB and CPU to the cart, when it didnt work i RMA'd it and ordered the LPX which on newegg says "Recommend Use: AMD & Intel Compatible / AMD Ryzen Compatible / Intel Compatible" but it is now doing the same thing. I've tried jumping the Cmos posts and retrying to boot with no avail. I'm not sure what else to try now other than ordering G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 which is on both Ryzen and Asrock's QVL's but also listed as O.C. for the MB

Hi guys, so i'm quite curious about if my motherboard isn't in the QVL list of the ram's website. I'm getting ASRock X570 STEEL LEGEND WIFI AX AM4 AMD X570 SATA 6Gb/s ATX AMD Motherboard and the ram is G.SKILL Trident Z Neo (For AMD Ryzen) Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin RGB DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C16D-16GTZN, will it cause any problem?

ASRock X570 Steel Legend WIFI motherboard running latest BIOS (2.20) will not recognize the on board M.2 SSD (WD Blue M.2 2280 2 TB) neither in the BIOS nor Windows Disk Management. FYI....I also have a Samsung 860 EVO 250GB SATA SSD boot drive that is recognized. Not that it makes any difference????

I just recently upgraded my setup from i5 6600k to a Ryzen 7 3800x and Asrock X570M pro4 and cannot stop having stability issues no matter what is done. my setup is: ASUS GTX 1080, Samsung SSD 850 Evo 250gb (operating system), seagate barracuda 1TB harddrive(game library), corsair 850watt 80 PLUS Bronze power supply, G.Skill NT series 16GB (2x8GB) 288-pin DDR4 2400mhz, x570m pro4 asrock motherboard and ryzen 7 3800x cooled with a cooler master liquid lite ML240L AIO. Windows 10 64 bit home After putting together i installed windows and updated all drivers with no problems but then randomly after almost a day i notice random crashes. The crashes seem to only happen when I am NOT under any kind of load on the system. I know this because i tried stress testing everything with no crashes at all but once i end the stress test and do something basic like surf the internet or open or close simple software i get crashes. It never crashes in the middle of working on anything or gaming. For example today's case, Turned my computer on from sleep mode and opened up COD MW and played for almost an hour while also watching a twitch stream on a second monitor, fps around 130+ no stuttering and twitch stream ran perfectly and was easily able to switch between the 2. Switched from COD to League of legends and same thing awsome fps and not issues at all. I then shut down the gaming and stream and just go to amazon and i crash. The first crash was page access error then it kept crashing on startup saying Memory_management error until i finally got it to startup again then used it for a while similarly to before and the cycle of crashing began again after doing simple tasks. I notice that 9/10 the crashes are memory management errors. I have tried everything to trouble shoot i have fresh installed windows several times, run memtest86 with no errors 4 passes, i have run windows memory check tools with no errors, stressed test with prime 95 ran cinebench etc. no crashes during any stress tests no errors and no bad scores everything works fine until i lower the load to almost idle and then i usually crash with typically a memory managment error. The only thing i can think of is a memory issue becuase my memory is not on the QVL but im not sure that makes a huge difference and am working to try to get new memory. I have turned on and off XMP and tried to under clock my memory speed and increase voltage and vice versa with no changes to behavior, upgraded my bios and made sure everything important was installed and still ahve crashes. Is my board or CPU DOA, is my memory bad or could it be software related?

I just purchased an ASRock X570 ITX/TB3 board and a Ryzen 3800X (they haven't come in yet). The mobo uses the Intel mounting system for LGA1151 (from what I read). I'm upgrading from an Index 4th generation Z87 board with a Noctua NH-D15. Will I be able to use this cooler on the new AM4 board? I'm unsure if the mounting system for LGA1151 and LGA1150 are the same or if this board is even compatible. There's not much clearance so I dunno if the larger Noctua mounting system will fit. If it won't fit, what would be a good replacement heatsink instead?

Dear Linus Tech Tips forum, Recently I rebuilt my system to include a Ryzen 3700x with an ASrock x570 Extreme board as part of doing that I reinstalled windows and I was installing motherboard drivers specifically for the RGB on the board/cpu fan and upon installing and running ASrocks polychrome software my system freezes and locks up requiring me to force shut down my system restarting. I am very confused as to why my system might do this, I downloaded that version of polychrome from the motherboards page on ASrocks site. Any fixes or solution to help me fix this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Aiden aka ShelterMan

Hi guys, I just finished a new building with the following config, ASRock Steel legend X570 AMD Ryzen 5 3600 ASRock Radeon RX580 phantom gaming Seagate FireCuda 520 500 GB G. Skill DDR4-3600 16GB X 2 (A2 + B2 slots) F4-3600C19D-32GSXWB Barracuda HDD 2TB ST2000DM008 GAMEMAX VP-Series GP-650 (650W) Everything seems to be in place, I tried to boot it for the very first time and there is no signal on the screen RGB lightening and fans are on, all 4 leds turn on an off for a few seconds, then only CPU and VGA leds still on after several minutes. Where would you start to diagnose the problem? Thanks, Vic

Hello, i have got my new pc yesterday, i have built it and enabled xmp when i did the first start, everything worked great and i installed windows but literally less than 5 min in windows i got the blue screen error, didnt know the cause of it, i thought its a weird bug and it will go when i restart and of curse i was wrong XD, went and checked everything about the build and nothing was wrong with it, after that i did a lot of testing one of them was the windows memory diagnostic tool and it said that i have aa error with my memory, even when the pc was running and didnt crash with a blue screen i was getting random errors all the time and couldnt download most of the drivers and games (the NVIDIA gpu driver for example). after that i tried to format the pc again just in case the problem was in the windows and from here things got worse, the pc stopped starting at all, like it will light up and then shout down immediately, after doing that for 3 times it will take me to the bios and the ram speed will be set to the lowest speed by its own. i have tried everything, updated the bios and checked my build for a third time, its so weird and inconstant, like i just switched the position of the two ram sticks and if i enable the xmp on 3600 now the pc will start but the games that im playing fine on the low ram speed stops working and start giving random errors (im not talking about one game i have tested a lot of them), even normal programs like the asrock rgb controlled stops working with another random error. i have tried aida64 and it crashes on the memory test and the cache test. after a lot of testing and tweaking the maximum that i have been able to run is 3000 and i literally got it to run by chance cuz i couldn't run any higher than 2700'sh before. my pc specs: Asrock steel legend 570X AMD 2700X 32Gb G.Skull 3600 CL16 Gtx 1080 360 cooler master AIO sabrent 1TB rocket NVME 4.0 Gen4 (i know that it will notr run at full speed with the 2700X, got it cuz im planning to upgrade to zen3 when it comes out) addlink 1TB NVME Gen3 750Wt 80+ Gold seasonic psu Thanks in advance for any help.
