Hi all. I just got a used Dell Latitude 7200 laptop. When I try to install the graphics driver for the Intel UHD Graphics 620 some weird flashing horizontal lines appear on the screen. When I use DDU to uninstall said drivers (and use the Microsoft basic display adapter drivers) the artefacts go away. The artefacts do not appear in screenshots or on external monitors. I have tried a variety of driver versions from Intel, Windows Update, and Dell's website to no avail. Video of artefacts is attached Any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks Specs: i5-8365U UHD Graphics 620 8GB ram 256GB SSD Windows 10 Pro 21H1 0gzu4ab.mp4

Hey all! I've been slowly building my girlfriend a new computer over the last few months with hand-me-down parts since I've been upgrading my own computer. The only part of hers that wasn't from my old machine is her GPU, a GTX 980 from a friend of mine who gave me a very reasonable price. The only caveat is that it was caked in dust and smelled pretty badly from cigarette smoke which I tried my best to clean out before installation, plus it sags pretty bad, but I figured as long as it ran, it's a stepping stone until the market goes back to normal, however long that may be, and she can either buy her own GPU or wait for me to upgrade from my 5700XT and have a seriously good build on her hands. Another thing about the card, is that it has no HDMI input - my friend provided me with a mHDMI to HDMI converter, but now that the PC is up and running, I've noticed the card occasionally shows artefacting in the form of fuzzy pink pixels. It's very hard to describe, it's fairly innocuous, but it is noticeable, and I'm thinking it's due to the converter, but I'd like to be sure. So, I'd like some educated opinions from the LTT community - given all of the card's less marketable features, could I be correct in my assumption? Can provide pictures of the artefacts on request. My display just artefacts but only on bios and if the driver doesn't installed , is that a normal thing? But everything is normal elsewhere, i played game for 5 hour, Benchmark the vga and stress test the vga it's completely normal. I haved tried to update the bios it's still the same. I tried to reset the bios, it's work but only for a couple hours the display artifact again.

The file is too large to attach even though its just a 9 sec video so i have created a reddit post and will link it to there so you guys can see the video https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/tjilqp/unusual_artifacts_appearing_on_screen_for_a_split/. but I have been experiencing this issue for about a month and a bit now, some backstory to this issue. I was experiencing some trouble with a game, FPS wise.( The issue being on the games end not mine). At the time I didn't know this, therefore I looked up a few fixes for the issue. Some of them included clearing the dirextX cache via disk clean up, other were updating Nvidia Graphics card drivers and the last one i did was deleting all the contents in the DXcache in Nvidia file. I first cleared DirextX cache via disk clean up and performed a Nvidia card driver update and then I cleared the DXcache. This is when I first encountered the weird artefact for a split second. However, after the initial split artifact no other problems, issues or artifacts appear. My GPU temps are normal both Idle and underload, my FPS and performance in games is normal. Also it only appears on my main monitor and not my second monitor. I looked up the cause of this issue online and people were saying various issues, like failing hardware, bad drivers. I performed a DDU and it didn't fix the issue, also I ahve a 3070 OC edition but I haven't done any overclocks myself to it. Any advice would be greatly apricated. I have a 3070 16 GB AMD 3600 B550 Game a Pro Corsair RM 750W Gold 80+

Hey guys! I have a super weird issue... Lets start with the beginning of the story: I have a EVGA GTX 980Ti Hybrid that i sent back to EVGA because Games keep crashing with artefacts on all screens. Now since i need a card i just bought an EVGA GTX 1050Ti SC. This 1050Ti is now running for a few days, yesterday a played around with some moderate OC (100 MHz on Core and 200 MHz on VRAM) but i dialed it back because i dont need it. Card was running fine afterwards in games and so on... Today i start the PC played CS GO and BOOOOOM artefacts again and App keeps crashing. Just the same thing i had with the 980Ti. I dont want to believe anymore that is a GPU issue but everything points in this direction. My Eventlog keeps saying that the "nvlddmkm" driver is crashing and that the Event ID "13" couldnt be found in the source "nvlddmkm". So far i can find 2 Error codes: \Device\Video3 Graphics Exception: ESR 0x404490=0x80000001 \Device\Video3 Graphics Exception: MISSING_MACRO_DATA I already tried a different PCIe Slot at my Motherboard but same thing again. Also i tried unplugging Screen 2 and 3 but same thing... Dialed back the GPU and RAM OC and same thing... I have simply no idea anymore then just saying "i broke 2 EVGA cards on applying moderate OC with EVGA PrecisionX"... What i have to mention is that i already OC the 980Ti with MSI Afterburner but no issue, as soon as i started to use the EVGA tool the crashes happened... I also tried gaming a few weeks only with the IGPU from the i7 running the CPU at 4.4 GHz and had no issues at all! So do you have a answer for that? Is it a Software issue? A Hardware issue? Did i really broke both cards? My System so far: Mainboard: AsRock Z170 Extreme6 CPU: Intel Core i7 6700K @4.5 GHz 1.3V VCORE RAM: G.Slill RipJaws DDR4 4x8GB (32GB) @3200MHz (XMP) Systemdrive: NVMe Samsung SSD 950 Pro GPU: EVGA GTX 1050Ti SC No part is running hotter then 70°C under load, what should be fine i guess... Also i am using G-Sync on the Mainmonitor and have 2 additional Monitors for productivity... If there is a need to i can give you videos, systeminformation just everything you need to have but please help me to fix this issue

1. Artifacts on the screen and stability problem. On the upper PCI-e, CS: GO and Furmark (GPU test) gives artifacts after 1-2 minutes of operation. PoE has frame drops to 0 from time to time. Graphics card on the lower PCI-e port, CS: GO works stably, Furmark with GPU + CPU test gives artifacts after 1-2 minutes. The test of the GPU or CPU itself comes without major problems. I have very low fps compared to those in the reviews (up to 200 in CS:GO). The card tested on another computer (i3) works without major problems. How can I check what could be causing this? 2. Loud chipset fan noise The fan on the motherboard still works in the range 2600-3600 rpm without load. The whole is incredibly loud, should it work like that? It doesn't matter if the fan is covered by the card or not. Temperatures (~ 30st) are similar, same as rpm. On Monday I will definitely hand over the motherboard due to the fan noise. With the fact that I do not know yet whether to exchange for the same model or for another? Additionally: - latest bios uploaded (in the old one it was the same), - latest drivers, I installed windows twice - I replaced the power supply Other components are: Power supply: bequiet System Power 9 600W Ram: Patriot 16GB 3733MHz Viper 4 CL17 Hard disk: ADATA 1TB M.2 PCIe NVMe XPG SX8200 Pro (bottom M2 with heat sink) Monitor: 1440p 144Hz Acer Nitro XV272U (HDMI) + old Dell 1920x1200 60HZ (DP) Cooler: Mugen 5 Case: Define R5 + 3 fans Thank you in advance for any help! #edit - I deleted unnecessary information, now it should be more transparent.

As I wrote in another thread, I have RX 5700 from Gigabyte for several days. From the very beginning there were problems with the artifacts, but can anyone explain why the artifacts do not appear when loading only the GPU? * 25 minutes OCCT 3D GPU Burner / FurMark - no problems, * CPU Burner on - after 30 sec artefacts as in the pictures, the pattern is always the same. In CS:GO similar, but after a longer time ~5-10 min of gaming. Below photo with long exposure + video. VID_20191020.mp4

So a while back, one month ago, I bought a Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Gaming Edition and started noticing artifacts in games. I saw flashes, textures in the wrong area, and bright coloured pixels. So I RMA'd it and they couldn't find a problem with it, so I got a refund and bought a MSI RTX 2070 Super Gaming X Trio. And a week later or below, I started getting textures in the wrong area again. This happens in Apex Legends and Destiny 2. Very rarely for Destiny 2, but very common for Apex Legends. I've not noticed any flashing, but that might change. Because it's happened twice, I'm starting to doubt that it's actually the graphics card causing it. I'm wondering I'd there are other causes or solutions that could help me. (Images of the problem below) They appear for one frame and vanish. Heres what I've done so far: Reinstalled GPU driver Updated the motherboard BIOS Swapped out the RAM and ran MemTest86 Checked the PSU Cables Checked cooling Ran Unigine Heaven and Furmark: Donut (nothing showed up) [PC Specs] Windows 10 Pro (Version 1903) i5-9600K MSI Z370 Gaming Plus HyperX 2x8GB (16GB) @2666MHz MSI RTX 2070 Super Gaming X Trio Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD Samsung 850 Evo 256GB SSD NZXT H500 Corsair CX650M PSU (New CX versions) BenQ 1080p TN Monitor (Secondary) LG 4K Freesync IPS Monitor (Primary (Runs at 1080p))

First this started happening in wallpaper engine (you can see that in the background). I thought it was just a bug in wallpaper engine and actually considered it being kinda cool. Recently i updated GeForce Experience and this... i dont even know what to call it started appearing in the app too. Its not a problem with my monitor cause it showed up on the screenshot, so i only have one question - wtf and what do i do. PS: Forgot to mention i havent seen this happening in any games, although all i've been playing recently is pubg.

Hey guys, I recently got an gtx 1070 from a friend and so far it worked pretty fine. Every game I play is stable and I do not have any issues whatsoever EXCEPT for 2 games: MHW and AC:Odyssey. I get weird artefacts, or black textures popping up, or a kind of flashing textures and I don´t now why. So far I have noticed that these problems do not appear in AC as long as I am below 3gb of VRAM usage in the graphic settings tab. Maybe some of you guys have an idea what it could be? And yes I reinstalled my graphic drivers and I also reinstalled the games already. Hi all I was going to pick up this card, but then read about early artefact issues (supposedly related to the memory used) with them. Is this still an issue? I can't find a definitive answer, which is a shame, as it does seem to be one of the quietest 1070's around, which is what I'm after. I currently have a 1070 FTW, but lost in all regards. Cool whines like a b*****d, not a great overclocker (2000mhz tops), and runs hot and loud. And others I should consider? Using a mini ITX case with space for a dual slot card only, so the big ones are out...

hello, my previous topic didn't get a solution, luckily the people from the webshop i bought my parts from were helpful, they suggested that it may be because of running games in exclusive fullscreen, so i tried it in borderless windowed and it worked, but i really hate borderless windowed, so does anyone have a better idea? if you need any more info or have any suggestions, please reply (this problem is really really annoying) previous topic info: If i have a game running or already closed it and go on a site like vessel, 9gag or youtube (in order of likeliness) and watch a video (i don't know what triggers it on 9gag, i assume .gif's) my primary screen starts doing weird (i don't really know how to describe it). it only happens on the screen that i have selected as my primary screen, even if i have the video running on the second screen. it even happens with .mp4 files. The games i have tested it with (and had the same flickering) are: Warthunder, Total War Arena and Total War Rome II. Things i have already tried: (none worked) Lowering the clockspeed of the cpu and/or the gpu clean install windows 10 older gpu drivers RMA the gpu I had the problem with windows 7, and when i upgraded the problem persisted. setup: cpu: amd fx 8320 @4,2 mobo: asus m5a97 evo r2.0 ram: 2x4gb corsair vengance @1600 gpu: msi r9 270 gaming 2g core @1050 / vram @1500 (has the latest bios) psu: xfx ts series 550w 80+ bronze hdd: 1tb wd blue Screens: 1x 1920x1080 connected with dvi 1x 1440x900 connected with vga (dvi to vga adapter) link to video as an example: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-8oNuhkqKqaX1NjYm45QkNyQms/view (don't be bothered by the sound, nothing interesting) (flickering at 2:00 in the vid)

I've finished my first build about 2 week ago. Since last week It will randomly freeze and cover entire screen with artifacts. Those freezes seem completely random - they can happen while system is idle, during gaming or while watching youtube. I'v done everything in my power to troubleshot it, but nothing seems to work Photo of the artefacts: http://postimg.org/image/ecuveufxr/ Here is what I'v tried so far: Memtest86 - 6 cycles - no errors found. Chkdsk on my HDD and SSD - all good. Monitored temperatures with HWMonitor - all temps within norm (http://postimg.org/image/rvthtbktn/) *not sure why, but it shows CPU as i3 4360. Furmark for 20 min - no problems. Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool - All tests passed (http://pastebin.com/pn4zkNJC) I've reinstalled entire system, installed only the newest drivers fomy MO and GPU - still happens. My setup: OS - Windows 7 64bit - all updates installed CPU - Intel Core i3-4170 GPU - Intel HD 4400 MO - MSI B85M-E45 BIOS - v10.4 RAM - 4x2GB 1333hz PSU - Thermaltake smart se modular 530w Storage - Samsung SSD 840 128GB, Seagate Barracuda 7200 500GB

hey guys, so there's this card that reference gtx 670 going on sale on ebay at the moment, it's showing artefacts in the BIOS and I'm wondering if it's worth-while to try fixing this gpu as I already have a 670 which would go nicely in SLI. So here's the auction I'm looking at (Australia only soz other countries) http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=261608857884 The description in the auction isn't very descriptive, so I'll just give you the message he gave me when I contacted him before: Although he says it looks great cosmetically, if you go to the 3rd picture on the auction, just above the pci-e slot (about a third-way from the left) it looks like it has a potential scratch mark as it seems a little less straight then the other lines on the rest of the PCB. So according to the symptoms, do you think that this card is easy enough to fix? Have you guys had any luck with the symptoms listed such as increasing voltage to the card or fixing cooling issues? (the baking method is another potential solution but I wouldn't spend $50 on something that may not work) Is that actually a scratch and if it is is it fixable? EDIT: So, upon further inspection and comparing to my own 670, there really is a scratch in the pcb just where I expected. So I've got two questions Can those wires be re-soldered, doesn't have to be particularly neat If I do not resolder those wires, will the artefacts still be present if I only use video outputs on my non-artefacting 670 while in sli? I know that this card will not resell for the same condition it is currently at the same price as this auction has been just re-listed recently so I want to be semi-sure that this will work. Thanks in advance

Hey guys I have overclocked my GPU (GTX 780) yesterday to an overclock of 1GHZ+ on my memory and an +180MHz on the GPU core. Now I have to say that I am running a triple screen setup. Today I was benchmarking my graphics card with 3dMark (the test ran only on my middle screen, out of three), when suddenly my right monitor, the one I wasnt benching on, turned full of artifacts. In panic I shut down my system, thinking that my overclock went out of control. But when I started up the system again, the screen stayed wrecked. I tried it on a different computer to test wheter it was my gpu that was defect, but the monitor was wrecked on the other system too. So I bought a new one today but I now fear, that when I overclock my graphics card again, it will wreck some of my monitors again. Can this happen due to a bad overclock? (My temps were ok, I was monitoring when it happened) or was it just a screen-failure, that had nothing to do with my GPU? I really hope you can answer me that question, because I liked overclocking and I hope that I am able to do it again.
