Official AMD equvialent site like Intel ARK?
TimedPing posted a topic in Programs, Apps and Websites
Maybe I'm not crawling the internet enough, but every time I need to see AMD CPU/GPU tech specs, I need to skip the whole marketing crap on the top just to see the technical details on their website, unlike intel that provide ARK to cut the marketing crap. Most of the time, I'm relying on Wikipedia for quick referencing AMD CPU tech specs for each generation because how more intuitive it is compared to the official AMD website . -
So i recently built a home server and after many weeks of distro hopping i finally chose unraid and opened it up so i can access community apps and started an ark server. now that all runs fine and is easy enough but the server settings seem very basic and i cant access or change anything is it possible to customise my ark game or do i have to play vanilla. i just want some quality of life mods and to up the settings a little to get higher levels. also id like to start a cluster server too but if thats not possible im happy sticking to one map any advice would be immensely appreciated as i currently want to slam my head into a wall

Hi!!! I am looking for some advice on whether or not this build would be good for hosting many instances of an Ark: Survival Evolved. I am planning on hosting 8 instances (2 cores and 8 GB per map). It is also recommended in some forums to have at least 3.0 GHz on the cores. If someone knows the answer to the exact GHz you need for it to run smoothly, please let me know. So I need to have at least 16 cores, and 64 GB of ram with some room to spare for operating system/general pc overhead. I also might later run a plex server on it as well. I have no real experience with servers and only really know a bit about gaming PCs. What Quadro/video card would be good for the encoding for streaming media? Any advice would be great. Need help, would I be able to take my future server and run it off of a router/pcie wifi card. Can't get the server connected over lan, so I want it to have best connectivity possible of wireless. So my question would a router be better use for this or would it be waste of money. Server would be use to run a couple vms to play around with, minecraft, and or ark server. After leaving my computer running ark for a few hours the fps drops from 40ish to 20ish. My gpu is always within 30mhz of the boost speed, the cpu is at steady 3.5ghz, vram at 3.5gb of 4 and ram at about 6/7gb used of my 8gb. It looks like its thermal throttling but nothing seems to be actually throttling? My only indicator is that gpu load sometimes goes to 0% during a freezeup, but cpu stays at 40% and ram at 6 or 7 gb so i dont know what would be causing it. Any ideas?

So my friend and I have been playing ark for the past week, and everything was fine until yesterday. Im not sure why (which is why im here) but I have been getting 35-45 fps no matter what my settings are, and every time I turn, it dips down to 5 fps. I have a 5820k,980ti, and 8GB ram. Not sure if its relevant, but I also moved the game to my ssd recently. Edit: The game also keeps crashing.

All settings maxed out but the game seems kinda blurry... specially on a more than 3 meters distance everything starts to blurr out I mean wtf it looks like shit. Is there a setting to fix these? if not then the game is absolutely terrible.

Hey there interwebs, so I'm at a loss when it comes to problem-solving my Gigabyte GTX 970. The rest of my build can be seen here. Whenever I try to play games (the main offenders are the games in the tags) I receive an aggravating error. The most frequent (as well as the most annoying) is the Error: 0x887A0006 - 'HUNG' Device being lost. Unreal Engine is exiting. Epic Games claims to have remedied the issue with the Unreal Engine in this post. People have claimed that the Engine will exit if you have an overclocked graphics card (which I have done in the past) but even when I downclock it, the issue still happens. The only temporary solution I have found is to run any game I play on ultra low settings and trying to boot the game up through the GeForce Experience Launcher. However, that is incredibly stupid to have to do because although a GTX 970 isn't by any means new, running a game on low settings like I'm back in 2005 grinds my gears. The worst offender of the D3D Error is Ark: Survival Evolved (maybe because the devs suck, optimization: WHATS THAT?!?!?!) but it also affects Foxhole, Cities Skylines, and Stellaris with consistent and annoying frequency. Does anyone else have this problem? Have you found a way to fix this problem? Is there a permanent solution (other than burning my computer to the ground)? Is it because I have Team Red (CPU/Motherboard) and Team Blue (GPU) trying to work together?

I am baffled with this gameplay. why can't the gpus get a solid 60fps or above on this game? Should the gpus be able to do this but the game is just bad or is it to much to require from the gpus?

Hey guys, I'm soon going to be purchasing a laptop for school and I want to make sure my current decisions is going to run Ark and other modern games for a few years. I'm thinking about the Dell XPS, and I'll list the specs below. i7-7700HQ Quad Core 16GB of DDR4 ram, up to 2400MHz Nvidia GTX 1050 I will be running everything at 1080p, and I can upgrade the RAM later. If anyone has the latest Dell XPS 15 or specs similar to those above, could you post the framerates of some modern games? Thanks.

Okay so I have been playing ark a little bit it's a bit more demanding than Starcraft 2 and team fortress 2 lol my gtx1070 has no problems playing it but what I'm curious is what software or programs I can use to give me a CPU and GPU temperature overlay in game similar to evga precision and real temp I have tried these and I'm not getting the overlay in game and my rig is new so I wanna see under a more demanding load what my temps are etc any advice would be great

Ark is the hardest game for me to run on my PC. Besides fallout 4 which is just acting weird. But I was looking into upgrading my asus fml 750ti. I can currently play it at 720p with mostly ok settings with 55-75 fps. But I want to run it at 1080p, even though my monitor caps at 900p, with mostly high settings. I dont think a gtx 1060 6gb will do so though, or Rx 580 8gb. I feel like ill need a 1070 or Vega 56 or 64. By the way, is it weird to have a 900p monitor that has a 75hz refresh rate?

For me, Ark: Survival Evolved is a pretty demanding game. GPU and CPU. On the channel, they should try to see what fps they could get with Rtx cards with the game in 4k max settings. I dont think they could get very far like over 100 fps. I have it, and my 750ti can run it at like 40-60 fps with mixed low medium settings and 720p scaled down.

So I've been thinking about picking up a used PC on ebay for around $30-50 and then upgrading it and using it as a gaming server for me and the boys. Right now here's around the current specs I'll be looking at: Intel i3-3220 8gb DDR3 RAM 500gb 7200rpm HDD I'll be using this server for games like Minecraft, GMod, or Terraria most likely, but I might also try out an ARK server or something and it'll probably only have around 5-15 players on at a time at max. Will this be a good server setup? Should I upgrade anything else?

I am not sure if there is already some kind of software that does this but I am looking for something like what the police has like a panic button for the computer or your phone. Like for our rust clan, we get raided all the time. It would be nice for someone to recommend something where someone can just hit a button really fast and everyone would get notified on their phones. Discord, skype, etc doesn't quite work because we use it for communications a lot and we would like something just for emergencies like that or other things. I guess that remind would work but if there is anything better that would be great.

I researched building an ark server before but it looks from what I have found now that things may have changed. I was looking at using non server hardware because at one point ark was using tons of CPU usage and everyone was saying you wanted higher clocks. So here is what I am planning I know these specs are over the top of what I need but I can always use this rig for multiple purposes. I am not set on a graphics card and I will get more ram but you get the gist. One thing I am still unsure of is if I will need windows server 2012r2 or not at one point you had to have it now I think that may have changed. I have never done anything like this before so it is a learning experience. I am looking to run at least 5 maps in cross cluster 24/7 probably no more than 30 people online. So any input would be appreciated even if it is to go in another direction. I just put this together on PC part Picker I am not stuck with these specs but from what I read this should be way more than enough.
