Hi all I have had this issue once or twice before but the solution I used last time I cannot find anywhere :/. Audio is only playing through the Arctis 7 Chat device, when I test the chat device, the audio plays, but when I test the game device nothing happens. This seems to have happened randomly as yesterday my audio had no issues through these headphones. Another issue correlating with this is that youtube appears to have stopped working, freezes when I play a video, leading me to believe there might be some sort of driver issue? Thanks

Hi LTT Forums, I recently upgraded my 2019 Arctis 7 to the Arctis 7+ Edition that is just meant to be the same with some battery, USB C and comfort upgrades however I am feeling like I got a complete downgrade. Mic sidetone on my old 7 was at medium and perfect, on the 7+ on just low it is far too loud and backgroundy noise turning to a soft hazy static. Trying to tune any mic settings in the software or anything doesn't seem to change the sidetone mic either. Using the global volume wheel on my device to turn it down and then windows audio up works but is a bad workaround esp if the wheel was to get knocked or such. The equalizer isn't really something I touch but now it goes up in 0.5 steps versus my old Arctis 7 went up in 0.1 steps. Lastly the software, with my old Arctis 7 it showed as 2 audio output devices and 1 mic without needing any stupid software on, but with the 7+ you NEED to enable "Sonarr" and when you do it adds 3 more audio devices on top of the normal one and another mic too, which turns my audio setup into a huge messy list when taking into account steam speakers and my desktop speakers. This device literally feels like a downgrade, am I missing something, my MAIN issue is the sidetone as I can "deal" with a messy audio output list even though I didn't have to before. But very tempted to figure out how to return stuff to amazon and instead buy a logitech headset.

I have been trying to find a cable for a long time. It is used by the Arctis headphones and is called a uc-e6. Specifically, I need a male to male cable. I have been able to find uc-e6 to usb A but i'm not sure these will work. Have any of you figured this out with these headphones? Is there somewhere I can go to get a custom cable made? Thanks!

Didn't see a topic for these, so here it is, looking for a new set of headphones, turtles just aren't cutting it any more. The tech info says that they use the same drivers as their flagship $300 headphones, though I don't see why a company would sell something that normally nets a higher premium for less, kind of throws me off a little bit is all. When I first started my build I didn't put a whole lot of thought into peripherals. It was all about the main rig and all the parts for the build. I ended up with a pretty good monitor upgrade afterwards and then started considering an upgrade from my basic keyboard, mouse, and headphone setup. The easiest choice for me was a Logitech headset once I found the mouse and keyboard combo from them as well. Long story short I sold the Logitech setup and ended up with Corsair upgrades on both keyboard and mouse. After the change I didn't want to keep the mismatched Logitech headset. I looked at a matching Corsair VOID headset but the reviews were not good and actually seeing the biggest complaint first hand (Best Buy display model was in pieces) I decided against it. From there I started digging into online reviews, this forum, and YouTube videos to figure out which direction to go. I wanted a good quality headset with good sound (obviously), worked with the simulated surround sound for FPS, and were aesthetically pleasing. The biggest recommendation was the Cloud series from HyperX. I picked up a set of the newer Cloud 2's that actually matched my case color (the gray metal). I really enjoyed this headset but I usually end up wondering if I got the best for the money. I wasn't completely happy with them. A friend was recommending the Sennheiser GAME ONE headset and kept telling me how much he liked his. This got me thinking that for a bit more maybe I can get a better headset. Its a dangerous road to go down since it could be a never ending search and more money spent. I took a look at a higher price headset group and came across the new SteelSeries Arctis series. The SteelSeries Arctis seem to be relatively new and I couldn't find many reviews on them. With the reviews that were available it seemed they were worth a look. After a quick swoop down to Best Buy I figured I could try them out and see how they compare to my HyperX Cloud 2's. I think I'm keeping the Arctis 5 headset. Logitech G430: For being my first real headset for PC I really liked it. The sound was good for me and the software helped with the 7.1 and overall sound quality. I found the braided cable to be easy to work with and the inline controls work well. I didn't have any complaints about the headset and never ran into any issues. The real reason I upgraded was for the color option. My case and peripherals were multicolor or red and the headset was blue. No need to upgrade but I had the bug and decided to look into something new. HyperX Cloud 2: The fit on this headset is fantastic. It has the perfect amount of pressure and the faux leather ear cups feel great over my ears. Sound is better than the G430's and the microphone is more clear as well. I found that the inline sound card was great for toggling on the 7.1 and controlling the sound and mic volume. It seems that this headset gets an extra boost of sound as its a lot louder and I can use the headset at about 60% system volume. This a really good headset. SteelSeries Arctis 5: This headset caught my eye from the start. I'm not big into the flashy plastics and colored cups that make it look like a Transformer on my head. I see the gaming headsets as being overly dressed up and a bit too much for what they need to be. Its personal preference but I'm more into the subtle look rather than an in your face with colors. The RGB lighting was an awesome touch with these. Beside the fact that I rarely see it since they're on my head, when I do they look amazing. The colors over the matte black body really pop. The microphone has a red LED on it as well that lights up when the headset is muted. The reviews online say its distracting but I rather like knowing when its muted and I'm not mumbling stupid stuff in game without knowing. It comes with an inline USB sound mixer for chat and game volume but I didnt find it too useful. Its required to use it in order to get the RGB lighting, however. Custom lighting is easy to control and the app is nice enough to set it and not need to mess with it afterwards. The whole reason I considered these was because of the RGB lighting, subtle looks, and the sound quality the few reviews rated well. Sound quality is great and the simulated surround does very well in game. Music sounds great as well as movies. In comparison to the Cloud 2's I would say it has an overall better sound but not as good bass. The fit of the headset is more loose and doesn't create a tight cup around the ears like the Clouds. This might be because of the different ear pads as these are the foam and not the faux leather but it feels mostly like there isn't enough pressure on the headset against my head. I'm keeping the SteelSeries because I just cant get myself to switch back. I think I'll miss the Clouds but it doesn't bother me too much not having them around.

Hello All, Im currently in the market for a new 'gaming' headset, but also one that i can use out. I have been researching the Steelseries Arctis lineup over the past 2 weeks and im quite confused. All the reviews on websites i have read have praise dthe arctis for its good sound quality, elegent design, and wearability. But, when I look into the amazon reviews, while mostly positive, there are planty of negative reviews talking about bad sound quality and uncomfortable design. Can anyone help me with this? Im looking at the arctis 5's as being the perfect blend of bells and whistles and price. Any arctis owners out there? Thank you in advance, -Lukas

The microphone on my trusty ADX A01s (that I got used for 6 euro) have recently given out. Which means that I'm back in the market for a new set of gaming headphones. I've gone ahead and found a set of Arctis 3 2019 edition headphones for 15 euro, which is well within my budget. How do these compare to other headphones, like the G633s or HyperX clouds? I'm looking for a decent mic, surround sound (as a play a lot of CSGO) and be ability to turn up the volume without it feeding back into the mic. Cheers!

Hello everyone, i need to buy new headsets, but can't decide wich one to buy. The headsets that caught my attention were the cloud alpha, arctis 5, arctis pro + gamedac, void pro and game one. There is also the possibility of buyng a great headphone and attach a mic (either mod mic or v-moda boompro). Budget max 250.

Hi guys, I run this laptop for my daily work in college and some LIGHT gaming (LoL and CSGO and that sort of stuff) but I feel like I can improve the noise of the fan by swapping the thermal paste. Currently I have CoolerMaster's MasterGel Maker applied to both the GPU and CPU but I have heard so much about Arctic's MX-4 that it got me questioning what thermal paste would be better suitable for my laptop. Before you judge: I changed cooler master because the thermal conductivity was higher and I thought it was the best for this laptop. Thank you guys!

So i am looking for wireless gaming headset (obviously) and i can't decide between these 2 I already had arctis 7 pre2019 (sent for repair, didn't come back, i get refund) and i more or less know what to expect from them but i just don't know if virtuoso isn't just straight up better so i am looking for 2nd opinion. I am no audiophile, so don't bother telling me about sennheiser + mic, i mostly care about features, and arctis has 2 that i care for specifically, namely sound daizychaining and separate channels for system and voice communicator tracks. On the other hand from what i've read and heard so far virtuoso are more comfy, have better mic, lower latency, better software (i already use icue for keyboard) and ever so slightly better sound (also i find them looking better, not that it matters) My primary use cases are gaming at home, laptop on the go (study purposes + occasional casual gaming), music from phone and parsec hosting (just this alone makes me care about arctis's dual track) On the one side virtuoso seem to be a better overall product, on the other arctis are more feature rich, i honestly can't tell which i value more. Also in my region prices are comparable, so getting cheaper one isn't really a viable option.

Every single time I start a youtube video, a VLC video, whatever has audio, I get a pop. When I close that down, a pop. I am using Arctis Pro GameDac and I don't know what to do anymore. I disabled Realtek, which wasn't gonna have an influence on that anyway, but I gave it a try. Didn't work. Every driver, including bios, is up to date. Anyone maybe with experience and know how to fix that? P.s.: Enhancements are also not enabled. Edit:// Previous USB Headset didn't have it. I assume it's the GameDac maybe, but what to do about it? It seems to be going into "power saving" mode or whatever you wanna call it. So it activates and deactivates as soon as you don't have audio. I thought maybe USB suspension is on in power settings, but it's not. I disabled it.
