Is the Apple TV 4K 2022 more powerful than Amazon fire tv stick 4K max?

Hi all - Me and my family have had 1080P TVs for the longest time and never really saw a need for a new TV until one day we were walking through our local PCRichards for appliances and saw the 4K LG OLED TVs and they definitely convinced us to upgrade. We are NOT looking to spend OLED money however as we don't have $1300+ to spend on a TV unfortunately. We would like to be around $650 maximum for the TV. We would prefer LG as the brand but if you guys have better recommendations please let me know. Some preferred specs would be: >4K >55+ inches >integrated speakers that are decent would be nice but are not a must Thank you for any Information

I have had an Apple TV 4K for a couple years now. It has been a pretty solid device, I don't get too hung up on the remote like others do. About a week or so ago, the picture was starting to get fuzzy, and blinking in and out. I have had an HDMI cable die on me in the past, so I assumed thats what it was. I have all of my home entertainment devices going to a surround sound receiver, which then sends the picture through an HDMI cable in the wall, to our TV wall mounted above the fireplace. So, when I began my investigation, I was hoping it was the HDMI cable between the Apple TV and the receiver. I swapped it out, and nothing, the picture was still bad. I have a MacMini attached to the TV, so I switched inputs and fired it up. Perfect picture, to my great relief, as I was beginning to get the sinking feeling that it was the HDMI cable between the TV and receiver. With cables ruled out, I began to mess around in the menus, checking the HDMI connection within the Apple TV. Nothing, it said it was fine. My last resort was dropping the resolution from 4K to 1080p, and that fixed it. No idea why, but the picture is back to perfectly clear, and doesn't blink in and out. TL:DR - My Apple TV had a fuzzy picture, to fix it I dropped the picture quality from 4K to 1080p.

Hi people, I've been having an issue with my LG Plasma TV not outputting sound from HDMI devices. Let me explain the dilemma and what I've tried to do to rectify it. Bear with me it is a little long winded. I really hope someone could shed some light on this. So I've got an older LG 50PG3000 Plasma TV, it has worked wonderfully for the past 10 years without any issues, I have a PS3, Xbox One X, Fire TV Stick, PC, a satellite set top box (SkyTV), and an Apple TV that I connect up to the TV. All of them have stopped outputting sound from the TVs built in speakers but continue to output video, the only exception to this is the Apple TV which produces video AND sound. The TV has a built in Digital Freeview Tuner which also produces sound. Trouble Shooting steps: Unplugged all HDMI Devices Factory Reset TV Plugged AppleTV in with known good HDMI cable. Tested on all 3 HDMI ports on TV and all produce video and sound. I then repeated the above with the other devices, none of which produced sound only video on all 3 HDMI ports. I tried 3 other known good HDMI cables and repeated above, I even switched the cable ends (just to eliminate any possibility of cables or devices having one directional use) I updated the software on all possible devices to no avail. I then connected the other devices to a monitor with speaker output via 3.5mm jack, every device output sound perfectly as expected. Here's the funny thing, the PS3 issues an error stating, "This device cannot be used to output sound", and the PCs (of which I have 3 and 1 laptop) cannot even detect the TV as present/connected for audio even after multiple uninstalls and reinstalls of drivers. From everything I have tried above I cannot fathom what is causing this issue to happen. There would appear to be no issue with the speakers themselves as the sound clearly works when using the Freeview tuner and Apple TV, also it would appear that the HDMI ports on the TV work fine too given the Apple TV outputs sound. Given the other devices would out put sound via another monitor using the same HDMI cable I can assume that the devices themselves and the cable are working as intended and therefor must be an issue with the TV itself. So my question that I have been unable to get an answer to is this; what in the heck is causing this! The devices worked with the TV perfectly fine for years and now only the Apple TV outputs sound. I would really appreciate help with this, I'm at a complete loss. Thanks! D.

Hello! I host my Plex server on my one and only PC (i5 4690, GeForce GTX 970, 8 GB DDR3), but when I try to watch anything, even 720p movies, Plex converts to 320p. I tried to do settings, I think did all of the combinations. The firmwares are up to date (TVos and Plex Server). However I can't resolve this problem.

Hey everyone! I just have a quick question about how I should hook my sound bar up to my tv. So I recently moved into my first apartment, and upon doing so went out and bought a new Sony Tv, along with a Sony sound bar. That being said, I’m not sure how I should hook it up to the tv… I use an Apple TV 4k so I can stream cable, Netflix, etc. because I don’t like the Google Os that’s installed on the tv. So here is my question. Currently, I have my Apple TV connected to my hdmi arc for video, then the sound bar plugged into one of the other hdmi ports, along with optical audio hooked up from the sound bar to the tv as well. I know that I don’t need the sound bar hooked up to two connections at once, but which connection is best? This is very hard for me to explain in text, so I hope it’s not super confusing for you all lol.

There are missing episodes and misnumbered episodes in Apple TV. I called Apple and they said to call Netflix. I called Netflix and they said to call Apple. There is a video below to help you understand it better. If you could help that would be great. Thank you for your time.

Hello Anyone have apple tv that could recommend if I should buy 32GB or 64GB. I have the gen3 apple tv where storage doesn't have anything to say, but now where I have an app center and will download apps and stuff, i think i should ask people that have apple tv, so I don't buy the wrong one.

I thought I could connect the ATV directly to the TV, likewise connect the Receiver to the TV through HDMI, but no. I only manage to get the ATV to work with the TVs built-in audio. Is it possible to connect it through arc eventhough none of the TVs HDMI ports list it? If you go through the receivers settings you find "HDMI Audio", but no similiar setting is found in the TVs settings.Please help me,Thanks,-Philip

So we have an Apple TV hooked up to our Denon home theater reciever. It works great. But, we also have outside speakers running off an old Sony reciever that we would like to play music from via the Apple TV. The Sony doesn't have an HDMI or Optical in. I have tested with another receiver, and I know that the Apple TV can output to HDMI and Optical at the same time. So I was looking at buying an optical audio extractor (Here). But the optical audio extractor isn't bitstream compatible. So here's my question: Does the Apple TV (3rd gen, not the newest) output music played through home sharing as PCM or Bitstream? Thanks!

My dad is planning on getting an apple TV but I managed to convince him that he will be better of with a more flexible device like the chromecast, Amazon fire TV and other are. I am looking at the chromecast but I heard things about obvious heat or performance problems within these small devices. Van you calm me down about my concerns? To state this explicitly. We are looking for an in home streaming capable device that can sort of serve as a "smart TV uupgrades for our old Samsung flat-screen. Budget is basically unlimited. I have no specific functions other than YouTube (no Netflix or prime necessary but a Joe gimmick of we divide on a subscription in the future) It should just not suck at what it does. I hope one can grass what I am looking for.

WWDC will officially kick off on June 8th and run through June 12th. Apple’s WWDC opening keynote serves as the unveiling stage for the next versions of iOS and OS X. Apple’s press release for the conference teases the announcement of “the future of iOS and OS X” as we would expect. Earlier this year, 9to5Mac reported that Apple will unveil iOS 9 later this year with a focus on performance improvements and overall stability as Apple moves to address recent quality control issues rather than foundational features. Apple may also reveal the Watch SDK for making native apps for the Apple Watch rather than the current collection of WatchKit apps which run on the iPhone and project information to the wearable. Hey, i am looking for a solution like Apple TV to mirror desktop and audio to a display device like a projector, as you can do with airplay on MAC's. It would be setup in plenty of classrooms to ease the use for teachers and students. VGA cables break quite often, and students with MAC's need adapters when they are not in Apple TV classrooms. A wireless connection to the device would be the best, but even ethernet would be an improvement over VGA. So is there a device you can connect to wireless/wired that would allow you to mirror your desktop for presentations or showing movies on both PC and MAC.

what is better to buy an apple tv or a roku? or is the anything else this is better similar? what should i look for?
