What music streaming server is better if I have an Iphone and a Macbook?

But no-one knows quite yet when it’ll put the service to bed permanently, presumably it’ll offer weeks or months for users to get their files in order before pulling the plug. The updated Music app will replace all music storage and organization functionality currently handled by iTunes. If you need to manage your iThings (local backups, OS updates, etc.), the Music app will take over there just as iTunes always has. users can expect the Music app to host many of iTunes’ audio features from now on. This is the New Music App UI screenshot according to 9 to 5mac leaks Personally last time i used Itunes was way back when i got an ipod 3rd gen shuffle, the interface was pretty choppy back then i had no idea how to use it even after watching tutorials & kinda went with the flow & somehow added songs literally by luck. a stupid Chinese USB music player at that time had seriously better ease of use simple drag and drop interface which a few of my friends had. Maybe it would've changed later i could've gotten used to it but i dunno. And it looks like i'm not gonna.i used it rarely when i had the chance & whenever i was interacting with it i was confused creating playlist & having it organize files in my way. Source: The Verge To those ten people who uses Windows 10S but would want Apple Music because they own an iPhone, rejoice! iTunes for the Windows Store is now available to download for free. It has the same user experience and interface as iTunes from Apple.com but instead of updating itself using Apple Software Update, it will automatically update using the Store app. Unfortunately, iCloud will remain outside of the Windows Store so to those who would want to sync their iCloud contents to their Windows 10S devices, you're out of luck. After launching the app right after installation, iTunes will prompt that it will uninstall old iTunes to be replaced by the new one. Just say yes to the UAC prompt and it will take a few minutes to migrate your sign in info from the old iTunes install to the new one. No mention just yet if Apple will start selling lossless FLAC files. To audophiles out there, which would sound better? The 320 kbps OGG Vorbis format of Spotify or the 256 kbps AAC that iTunes/Apple Music uses? Would the extra 64 kilobits would actually matter when it comes to audio quality given they're both lossy compression. When it comes to features, I think Apple Music wins hands down with their Beats1 radio which is way better than Spotify's radio discovery. Also, Apple Music will display lyrics of the current song playing. You don't have that with Spotify. Also, Apple Music has music videos. Spotify doesn't have that. But if there's one thing Spotify does better than Apple Music/iTunes is UI navigation. In mobile, Spotify is way easier to use and searching for a song would require less taps and scrolls unlike in Apple Music. While both services are cross platform for PC, Mac, iOS and Android, Spotify wins when it comes to playing nice with other platforms other than Apple. Spotify works not only with an Apple TV but also with a Chromecast, NVIDIA Shield, and even on a PS4. Also, the Android version of Apple Music is rated not so good compared to Spotify. And, Spotify has an ad subsidized option, Apple Music only has three months of free trial. While Apple Music has an Android app, it will suck to those who has signed up for a subscription but never owned an iOS device. In order to use Apple Music on an Android phone, you should sign up using either a Mac or an iPhone/iPad and that's the time Apple Music will work on Android. But if there are things Apple Music does better than Spotify is that Apple Music has way more songs, they pay higher royalties to record labels (might not be the case now since Taylor Swift is back on Spotify), and works with Siri.

I've been using Apple Music for the past 2 months, and I still have 1 more month of free trial to decide whether I'll continue the subscription or not (I probably will do unless Apple somehow manages to mess up my music library or something). So far I've been enjoying the service, but unfortunately I can only use it on my PCs using iTunes for Windows. Recently Apple has just released the Apple Music for Android on Google Play Store. I had just downloaded it on my android phone. It's still in beta, there's still a lot of bugs and lack of features e.g. the equalizer, but I'm quite pleased with it so far. This might be just one of the bugs, or just my lack of knowledge of apple products, but for some reason I can't find the location of the downloaded apple music files on my phone. The app says the song has been downloaded, but where is it? On my PC, the downloaded music files went to the usual iTunes media folder, so I can easily copy them to another authorized PC along with the library preferences files. That way I can just sync my music library with only having to download the songs once in the first place. I want to be able to do that with my phone as well. I know I can just stream the songs, but the stream audio quality is actually worse than local files and it eats through my data usage whenever I don't get wifi reception.

Taylor Swift has just posted an open letter to Apple entitled "To Apple, Love Taylor" explaining why she's holding back her latest album, 1989, from the new Apple Music streaming service. "We don't ask you for free iPhones. Please don't ask us to provide you with our music for no compensation." Apple Music launches in just 9 days’ time on June 30th with iOS 8.4. Users will be granted a 3 month free trial to the service. After that time, it will cost $9.99 for an Individual account or $14.99 for a Family account for up to 6 users. Me personally I don't really stream songs often as I'm one of the few people on earth who still prefers physical discs and sometimes buys songs on iTunes as we don't have Google Play music here in Malaysia.
