Unfortunately, I'm a Mac gamer. I'm not really a hard-core "gamer", I maybe play trough 1-2 games per year. App Store currently has a fantastic discount here in Sweden with about 70% discount some AAA-titles. I enjoy games like Life is Strange, Grand Theft Auto, LEGO Star Wars, Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, The Sims. Do you think any of the games on the screen shot below would be interesting to me? I know I watched PewDiePie play Resident Evil Village and really enjoyed him playing it, though I'm a bit unsure if I would have to patience the beat the bosses (I like games that progress relatively straight forward). I played the Resident Evil 4 Demo though and it was fun.

From what I remember Apple lowered their cut of revenue from 30% to 15% for smaller developers? However, I can't find the rules for when, who and what kind of purchases this applies to? My first iOS-app I've made will be a free to download with an optional in-purchase subscription for $1 USD per month, and I'm wondering what percentage of the revenue from iOS optional in-app subscriptions Apple takes from small single team developers as myself?

Device: iPhone 6s Plus OS: iOS 14.4.2 I was trying to update YouTube from the App Store and apparently it requires my iTunes account that I don't have? It said if I don't have an iTunes account I could use my Apple ID. I tried using my Apple ID password for the login but it keeps saying either my Apple ID or password is incorrect. It never even asked me for my Apple ID unlike a traditional username and password login. It just asked me for my password without telling which Apple ID I'm trying to log into nor asking me for it. I've reset my password from the given option but it still said I'm wrong. I can't update my apps without an iTunes account I guess. I downloaded the iTunes Store and the Apple Music app and there's no account system or anything like that from what I see. Here are some screenshots, I would appreciate any help! Thanks! Summary Nearly 10 years ago, Phil Schiller wrote an email to Eddy Cue and Steve Jobs with the title of 'HTML5 Poses Threat to Flash and the App Store' where the first part of the extract reads 'Do we think our 70/30 split will last forever?' In this email he says how Apple should lower their taxes on the App Store, revealing at that time made a billion USD from App Store tax, and suggesting that they should lower the percentage if they know they will not suffer a loss in App Store income and maintain rates. My thoughts I suggest you read the email for further details, (it is in the website link) but in short it is what Apple should have done. Get this sorted before anyone notices and makes this an issue. Now Apple is writing legal document, hearing in courts and whatever else. On the most recent WAN show, Linus mentioned Floatplane's app. I've looked at it before but never downloaded it. Because he mentioned it, though, I searched for it on the App Store, and it didn't appear. After googling it, I found a link for it, clicked it, and got the not available in your country or region message. Was Floatplane's iOS app taken down? Linus mentioned it on the WAN show because of the current events involving external subscriptions on the App Store, so I was wondering if it was removed by either Floatplane or Apple.

Hi. I want to create a bootable image of 10.13.4, but when I download the OS from the App Store, I get the 15MB version and not the full one. Not a problem since you can start the download inside that one and stop it before it restarts and then deletes the OS files, but how do I make that DMG in another folder bootable? I have an idea, but can't try it before I get home in quite a few hours, and if someone has an idea how to modify the commands that need to be run, it could save me some good time! I've done it before (with this tutorial: https://tylermade.net/2017/10/05/how-to-create-a-bootable-iso-image-of-macos-10-13-high-sierra-installer/), almost the same way Apple officially says is the right way, but that assumes it's in the Application folder with the 'createmedia' executable, the files aren't the same with the 15MB method and createmedia isn't included as far as I saw yesterday (briefly looked at it), so can anyone help? So I'm setting up a Mac and before I can send this out to the user, I need to run updates. However, Apple implemented a completely ludicrous system in that you must have an Apple ID and a connection to the App Store to simply update your system... well now their App Store won't load on the computer (with a working ethernet connection) and I'm stuck until the App store is fixed. Is there a way to disable this App Store update system and go back to the normal updater from 10.7? I know there's a way to force updates through the terminal, but that just seems stupid to me. Yay Macs...

Hi, i would consider myself an app developer to an extent, and am planning on buying a new phone. I prefer android but i develop for ios as well, My problem is that i'm leaning towards a S4, but as a dev would buying a nexus 5 be better? I understand that the Galaxy line uses reskined android aka Touchwiz while the nexus is pure android, which one would benefit me most? price isnt a problem Btw.
