My 1st problem is whenever i turn ON the PC the keyboard doesn't work. It's a RGB keyboard, the lights and toggels key's light are ON with keyboard is not functional. I've to re-plug the keyboard then it works completely fine. My 2nd problem is my keyboard doesn't work on one of the USB port which is next to the PS/2 port on motherboard. I tried to connect the keyboard on other USB ports it works fine, i tried using mouse on the same USB port which is also working fine then why is not the keyboard.

Hello everyone, I am looking at buying a benq ex3501r, bu I am also thinking if it is worth it to safe up and maybe get an aw3418dw or an lg 34gk950f. Benq ex3501r = 700 euros Alienware aw3418dw = 1000 euros Lg 34gk950f = 1100 euros All the prices are from the Netherlands. I am really not sure if it is worth spending 300 to 400 euros to get the more expensive ones. The benq has usb c which I would really like so I can have only one cable from my laptop to my monitor. (I am using an laptop and a gaming pc in one setup) I do quite a bit of programming and administrative IT work. I do game as well, but I am not an competitive gamer. What is you guys opinion? Or do you have any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

This answer is going to be so obvious to experts but I ordered a GPU and it says in the System Requirements "Windows 8 Pro". Does this mean I need Windows 8 Pro to use this card or can I use it with Windows 10, which is what I have. Please help me out. Oh also, do I need to disable my Intel HD Graphics before I install this card? Thanks in advance.

Hello, I am new to PC building/upgrading. I've watched a ton of videos on how to build PCs, install new parts in PCs, etc. I recently got into PC gaming, but realized that my prebuilt "Office" PC was not up to the task. So, since I do not have the money to build a new system, I made the decision to upgrade. Of course, I started thinking of compatibility issues and stuff, but I figured out that I can install a 750 ti, a new power supply, and a new hard drive for extra space. But my RAM is only 4gbs so I figured if I really want to get into PC gaming I am going to need 8gbs (or more). Apparently, my CPU (Intel Pentium G640 2 Cores 2 Threads 2.80 GHz) only supports DDR3 1066 Memory? I have no idea what this means, which is why I am writing this story on here. It says it on Intel's website, link: http://ark.intel.com/products/53486/Intel-Pentium-Processor-G640-3M-Cache-2_80-GHz. Does this mean I can only install DDR3 1066 RAM? I don't want to blow $40 on RAM and find out I can't use it. Please enlighten me on this topic.

So every few days, I see that someone new has posted a topic asking why their internet gets slow at night usually between 6-11 PM. For those in the future, your internet gets slow because of network congestion, either your ISP (Internet Service Provider) is slowing everyone down to prevent congestion, or they aren't doing anything, and the network is overloaded/congested. This happens a lot with COAX and sometimes on fiber internet. If you have DSL, slow internet can be caused by bad wiring. Think about it, when everyone comes home from work, at generally the same time, they hop on their computers and start watching their videos and downloading their *ehm* files... This uses more bandwidth, which your area might not be able to support. If this helped you, then feel free to like this post or post a comment. If you have questions, just leave a comment. Sincerely, Kyle

Hi All, Just thought I would post this on the forums to resolve some confusion. Lots of people have been experiencing problems updating apps in the Windows 10 Store. Either the downloads have been stuck on 0.0MB or 0.1MB. Or another problem with Windows 10 Mail app freezing on startup. HERE'S THE FIX. 1. Open Command Prompt as Admin 2. Copy the following command into the prompt and hit enter PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -Command "& {$manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest}" 3. Reboot your PC immediately after the script has finished. Go to the Store and the downloads should start. *Now the Store app should work. If you still have issues with it, try to set your Region and Locale to English (United States) from the Region Control Panel and then try opening the app again. 1HyperCube1

The rep is offering me a $600 store credit if I send my GTX 970s back in that I paid $700 for. Should I accept? I could've sworn I saw someone/people on this forum talk about successfully getting refunds from NewEgg for their 970s because of the 3.5GB (sorry, that's a trigger around the internet now) VRAM issue. Have any one of you guys successfully gotten refunds from NewEgg? They pretty much refuse to give me one, even though I repeatedly tell them that my qualm isn't with the performance of the cards yet, it's with Nvidia essentially lying (aka deceiving the consumer, aka false advertising) about the specifications of the card. They just still continue to send me stupid ass benchmarks that Nvidia sent them, apparently. Guess I'd like to know if any of you guys actually got refunds or know of someone that got a refund, and if so what on earth did you say to them to grace you with one? And before someone comments bitching about me bitching about Nvidia lying, don't bother. I will not reply. Thanks. Oh, and sorry if this is in the wrong section, I figured that since this was more or less a question about returning the GPU rather than the GPU itself, it would be better suited in General Discussion.

Hey forum, just wondering, where do you think AMD will be heading in the future? I mean, with Maxwell around the corner on the GPU market and Intel having been ahead on the CPU market for quite a while now, can we expect AMD to continue producing enthusiast-grade components in the future, at all? It doesn't look like they are going to have a real answer for Maxwell and unless the prices drop heavily, I don't see how they are going to stay competitive on the discrete graphics market. And the CPU market? Well, AM3+ has been there for quite a while and the FX-series hasn't seen any significant improvements either. To me it looks like AMD is planning to focus entirely on the APU and mobile market, pretty much excluding enthusiast grade hardware from their budget... I really hope they don't, but what do you think?

I think this is tech related so I hope I have it posted at the right place. so anyways I've been under a lot of stress as of late and this week in particular was a really bad one - incredibly bad actually. It was a bunch of stuff happening at the same time and I had to cancel my vacation (which was supposed to be a stress reliever but because I had to cancel it, it was even more frustrating). So on my way home today I started feeling something boiling up inside, kinda like something was going to explode, I knew I couldn't just let it sit and simmer because it would just ruin me and I might (and probably will) break and it would have been way worse. I've had a panic attack before (due to stress) because in my line of work, customer service is a must and I kind of need a job and as we all know, people are idiots who think they are always right and we have to deal with it. (as a side note: no, the customer isn't always right, he's usually always wrong - especially when you are the technician fixing his computer) So when I arrived home I really started stressing out, at the brink of a panic attack actually. I felt like getting into a fight - you've all had that feeling and if you say you never have, I don't trust you and you should be shunned - but then I noticed an old computer. A pentium 4 if I remember correctly. It was an old machine I was going to send off to recycling because nothing worked on it and even if it did, it would have been just too slow to do anything useful with it. So when I saw it I realized how many times I've wished I could just bash a client's computer with a bat or on the table, if it were a laptop, (or some of mine for that matter, when I can't seem to find the issue). I took my 9 iron and started beating it senseless. First with vertical swings like if I were cutting wood, then in perfect golf style. I felt like it was weird that it wasn't getting as damaged as i thought it would but then changed the 9 iron to a driver - the heaviest one i have (not part of my regular golf set, a one off that found its way into my bag at some point for some reason) and took the hardest, fastest, most beautiful swing at it and voila; pure rapture, unadulterated bliss, absolute ecstasy, unconditional rapture - happiness. As soon as I ceased beating that grotesque "old technology beige/grey" coloured box into a warped, misshapen pile of obsolete pieces, I felt normal, I felt happy, better than I had been all week, if not weeks. I am now here sharing with all of you the joy of letting off some steam in whichever way you feel is right for you (of course by not causing harm to others and animals) because we all need to at some point or another; when things aren't going the way you want, when they are just not working out or when you are just frustrated or feeling down. Just take some time for yourself. It can be constructive, like going for a jog or the gym, playing a game or figuring out a puzzle, putting together a computer, watching tv, reading, learning something new, taking up a hobby or, in my case (and only this once), something destructive (but not harmful). All I'm trying to say is: take it easy, have fun, be happy and even though sometimes things aren't in your favour, the universe has a way of settings right, whether it be right away or a few years from now, it will be alright. And this goes for everything and every aspect in life. We have all heard of people hurting themselves or doing something that hurt others because they were depressed or something was going wrong in their life or they were having a hard time in a period in their life but that will all pass, talk about it to someone understanding, and if you don't have anyone, you can see someone who will help you in your goals and help you deal with what is going on, a teacher you like, a family member you're close to, a best friend, a lover or even a hater. You tell them what they did wasn't cool and they should stop and if they don't (i.e. if he was a bully or something) go talk to someone who can help, or who you think can help, maybe they will help you find someone or some way of dealing with it. And if you're scared of seeing a psychologist, don't be, you don't have to tell anyone, keep it to yourself. If you feel like they won't or can't help or you think that you "are too manly and don't need a shrink because you are supposed to deal with it yourself", well...you shouldn't, because we all need help, all great men had help getting to where they are and still use all the help they can and need to stay on top. Even those stupid ass bullies get help, or will need it in the future because they won't survive life being the way they are. Anyways, thanks for reading and included below are the results of my therapy session. P.S. This was supposed to be a short thread about letting off some steam but I guess I went on a little bit of a tangent, but I hope that it has helped at least one person. Because even helping just one person then this thread is worth it and it is the least you can do in life to be a human being (however I really do hope you helped more than just one person in your life and continue to help others along the way) P.P.S. The irony is that I fix computers for a living AND the driver solved my issue ;) ( lol ) . . . . and now the pictures: . . .

When some has a problem with a pc.....Please don't post something like "Omg i have the same problem" because never has some one said that and then that has fixed the problem. Please instead Wait for an answer and post only if it has fixed it so we know what to do! Thank you for your time! EDIT: Rant over

Just a dumb question with most likely a really obvious answer, but it's confused me for a while. Why do people use 2 graphics cards for dual monitors? isn't there a way to get 2 monitors on HDMI without dual GPU's? Sorry if this is a really stupid question, i'm just confused. I would lilt to mention, i know dual graphics cards increase performance, Its just I rarely see people dual screen with one GPU, even when its not a gaming oriented build.
