So I've had this problem for a little while where seemingly at random my PC will disconnect all USB devices and not reconnect them. I found that the only way to fix it is just to reboot my computer, but it gets annoying after a couple times. The devices still get power, but all data transfer seems to be stopped. I can always hear the devices disconnect through my USB Bluetooth dongle which is weird, but maybe it just disconnects them one-by-one. Before you ask, yes I've tried unplugging and plugging the devices back in and yes, I've tried different USB ports, so I don't want to see any replies about that. Any help is appreciated.

I have totally give up on this issue, I wish someone would help me. This issue has been happening since 2011, the first PC that I purchase? So whenever I power on my Desktop, Monitor and Speaker (which is using a multi-socket block), there's an annoying, audible screeching noise. I initially thought that it was the speaker, as it's rather an old speaker bought during the P4 or early C2 era, Eco 2.1 with bass control (not sure what was the original pricing, but it was maybe just a single $50 note), as the 2011 desktop, I received a USB power speaker, which doesn't have the hissing noise--which really doesn't make sense for my motherboard to be the issue, heck, it's even had 3 upgrades (SB > IB > SL > CL), there's still the hissing noise. I have a tower fan, I thought it could be this is causing the EMI issue, but nope, even power off (there's a switch on the socket, oh it's UK plug), it's still screeching. Just few days ago, I tried separating the 2-pin speaker plug away from the multi-socket block, and have its own power socket, there's still hissing noise. I recently purchase Z313 because it was on a huge discount, and nope, still has the hissing noise. I might sell it away, because of lack of bass control. It's definitely not the socket strip that I'm using, it was change three times. It's not even the multi-socket block (13A), as I've replace with an almost brand new one. All have surge protection built-in--maybe it's a marketing deception, I am guessing Linus should test 'surge protector' plugs/strips. Any solutions that are within my reach? Maybe using a 3.5mm to SPDIF? Use an UPS to smooth power to my desktop, monitor and speaker? I don't think it's my house wiring, I remember that during an apartment upgrade--by the govt., there were electricians that check for house wiring, just in case we need a replacement. They said that the entire block has no need for a rewiring.

Hey everyone! I helped my mom's friend buy a laptop and it refuses to install windows on it. I tried switching the USB port in which I plug the Flash Drive in, I tried installing the dang Intel RST drivers, IT REFUSES TO WORK. Please help, I would appreciate it a lot! Laptop is an ASUS X515EA, and yes, the drive is visible in the BIOS, as an NVMe SSD

Why Won't You Leave Me Along Dog!: Litteraly all morning this thing has been sat there looking at me. I've no idea what to do, I can't yell at a puppy. It's really distracting. Bloody thing, still... better that a child I suppose. Whats Next?: More of the same here, a lot of waiting. There is a possibility of some updates to this blog tonight because I'm checking hardware for a build I have soon. Stay tuned on my other blogs for cool modding content, will probably end in tears... Thank You :)

I have had bell internet for two years and it was good until we got packet loss constantly and slow speeds. I noticed it through a game called Fortnite where my ping was really high and fluctuating constantly and the packet loss showed was the same, fluctuating constantly when it should be 0 packet loss like normal. I later got this fixed with a new router but now I am having my WiFi constantly disconnecting and I have to disconnect and reconnect in wifi settings on the computer. I'm estimating about 20/30 times a day I get disconnected. Speedtest is showing that we are getting almost our full download and upload package of 50mbps and 10mbps. Ping is great at 6 to 7 as well. Can anyone give their opinions on what they think it might be? I really don't think it is my computers hardware as everyone else's computer and phones are receiving the same issues. I think it could be the router but that's just my opinion until we tell the bell technician and see what they say but in the meantime I'd like to get your thoughts, thank you for your time.

Summary: I want to disable ANY AND ALL Chromecast functionality from my rooted Android 6.0.1 Nexus 5 It bothers me in ways I can't quite explain how the Chromecast button pops up everywhere I'm watching videos. I have casted Youtube videos late at night one too many times and woken up the entire house, the popups are everywhere, on anything from animated GIFs to flash advertisements to videos being played locally. The icon itself is annoying on top of what it does. To take it a step further, it even pops up without being connected to WiFi now. I get that Chromecasts are supposed to be idiotproof and easy to use, but it's genuinely frustrating to have to deal with its constant presence and not having an option to turn it off somehow. I understand that some apps have this button built in (right..?) and can't be removed. All I'm asking for is some way in which I can eliminate my phone's ability to tell the Chromecast to cast anything or even stop all communication with it. I know I haven't made the strongest case for not wanting it on my screen, but it bothers me and I would appreciate it going away. Also, I have privacy concerns. Let's not pretend everything we do on our phones is something we'd want the rest of the family to see... LMGTFY HAHAHAHA I have attempted to look for a solution at least 10 times at different occasions in the last 1-2 years. I still haven't found anything. Googling is easier than posting on a forum - of course I've tried Googling before typing out this post. (Also lmgtfy is considered spam on these forums so don't even do it ironically). Remove the Chromecasts... My family still uses them. I do not, never have, and literally cannot imagine any possible future in which I would. Just deal with it, it's a tiny icon in the corner of your screen. Yes it's tiny, yes it's in the corner. Yet it still bothers me. Just disconnect your phone from WiFI. The icon is still there, and it will still bring up options to cast to nearby devices. Change your Chromecasts to different bands form your phone? 5 ghz Chromecasts and 2.4 ghz phone? No matter what configuration of 5ghz and 2.4ghz either the Chromecasts or my phone is running, they somehow detect each other and the options for all 3 of them are still there. Uninstall Chromecast with Rom Toolbox. I also saw this solution on some forum somewhere. Even with Rom Toolbox Pro, I can't figure out what to uninstall to get it off my phone once and for all. Make a new network for your phone. Um... I assume this means a new device and such exclusively for my use. That's out of the budget range frankly. Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys you have always been helpful in the past.

And i tell you what, this sound is even more annoying than coil while. It sounds like someone dragging a rock very audibly. Or you might say it sounds like a bubbling noise in a box. My phone only recorded air, but i could hear it from 3 meters away! Probably seek noise? How do i fix it?

(Edit) The problem persisted even though I said I fixed it I even got a new PSU that didnt do anything the problem only happens with my 1070 plugged in. So recently I upgraded my computers graphics card to a 1070 from a 960 everything was fine but I noticed a random popping with my audio I tried everything even reinstalling my audio drivers, nothing worked so I went and put my 960 back in and that seemed to fix it but I would like to use my 1070. My specs Intel 4690k z97 stinger WiFi mini ITX 16 Gb ddr3 RAM 500W power supply 1 TB HHD 512 GB SSD and of course my 960 or 1070 due to the 960 fixing the issue is it safe to think my power supply cant handle it and if thats not the problem what should I do?

Hello! So I've recently ran into an issue. The function key row f1 f2 f3 f4 etc. Does not work how it worked before. Now ever single time I turn the PC on I need to change the mobility center setting because they have been reseted. How could I stop them from resetting because it's so damn annoying to change it every single time I turn the PC off. And I'm not going to press fn+function key, it's just too annoying for me. Thanks

Hi, I've recently been experiencing some lag issues on my PC. I have switched the case of my PC in the last 3 days but that is the only change that has been made to it in the memorable past. I'm running a fairly old rig consisting of a GTX650, an i5-4570 and 4GB of ddr3 RAM. The lag itself has been occurring on all applications and desktop. If anyone can help me out please let me know. Thanks, joshoq23

As the title says, Windows is randomly mounting and unmounting an empty drive marked as E. I've tried disabling and uninstalling the device but it comes back every time, even when it's set to disabled. I'll be playing a game and the "USB unplugged" system sound will play, sometimes in rapid succession, sometimes followed by the "USB plugged in" noise, sometimes not. Please help, super annoying.

hi guys, I just bought the ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q and i noticed the backlight bleed while playing games during some darker scenes. its my first big IPS display and i would like to know if this level of bleeding is normal, and if its worth it to return it for a new one. I read horror stories online of people having to return this exact model up to 6 times before getting a good one so I need some opinion. I adjusted the picture to look as close as possible to what I see in real life in a pitch black room. so to look at it you should put it into fullscreen and turn off the lights. It makes me really sad that asus has such a bad quality control, my macbook pro for comparison has zero BLB, and if you get one with BLB apple will replace the screen with one that works flawless, instead of playing the lottery like with asus where you can get a screen that is even worse if you are unlucky. I will think twice before buying something from asus again... so guys, should i bring it back or is that as good as it gets with asus? best Regards, The Dude

Hello dear people of the LTT Forum, a while ago I bought new Headphones (Sennheiser HD 558) because my USB Headset always had a lowkey buzzing sound which was annoying af. But the new ones also have a weird buzzing sound which is most noticeable when there are few sounds and high FPS (for example main menus of games). A bit of google research suggestet that my case might not be properly grounded, so I got myself a Fractal Design Define S Window and I still had this Issue. I tested it on the audio jack on the back of my MB, the front audio and the headphone jack on my monitor but this issue was on all three of them (although it least noticeable on the back of my MB). What's even weirder is that the Realtek HD Audio Manager doesn't pop up when I connect my Headphones at the back of my MB. So does anyone know how to get rid of this humming/buzzing? Would a additional sound card fix it? Here are my specs:

I want a different one. I have the club 3d adapter to get 4k 60 on my tv as my gpu doesn't have any hdmi 2.0 ports. It is a HUGE pain in the ass to work with. I have resulted to leave my pc on 24/7 (at least it is winter...) and just unplug the rest of my setup. This works well except now a week later some artifacts appeared on my screen and it was capped on 30fps. Unplugging the adapter and rebooting helped, but it took 10 minutes of fiddling with the settings to get 60fps back again. (restarting the system causes adapter to switch from 60fps mode to 30... and stay there until you wank teh amd radeon settings panel for a minimum of 5 minutes. also unplugging is required, sometimes more and sometimes less.) So yeah, i want a different one, i used the display @4k 30 for a week before the adapter came. Just needed to switch manually between 1080p and 4k from settings when i needed 60fps. (also you need to select 59hz from there. 60 wont work.) Black friday is coming, and i will probably get a new gpu. That should solve a lot of my display-related issues. (i was thinking the rx 470. cpu upgrade will come after zen is out, i want to see the $-to-performance of those. yes i know it will bottleneck a lot with my poor fx-6300) I still have 20 days of return time left on that adapter, if there are any others please let me know

So a quick glance through the comments on the latest WAN show will highlight the issue..... It's the eating and chewing of Savage Jerky whilst on microphone. For me and a lot of others is makes the show unwatchable and I personally had to skip the majority of the show. It can't be good for business for Savage - some people are literally saying that they wouldn't buy the product because of it! I've added a few of the comments below, this is from 3 mins of looking.... Let's just get this straight, I LOVE the WAN show but this can't go on....

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well. I am new to the forum and this is my first post and topic. I am left with no options apart from asking you guys for help with this. The problem is that Windows 10 automatically and without apparent reason keeps adding US English language and keyboard layout to its keyboards. (See Capture 1 attached file) When in fact the only two languages I have installed/added are Bulgarian (my native and a layout I type in) and UK English (the display language) with International English layout (printed on my keyboard along with the Bulgarian alphabet). (See Capture 2 attached file) These two captures are taken within seconds from each other. The things I tried and didn't work: Resetting language settings, display language settings, keyboard layouts multiple times; Checking location settings (set to the UK as it actually is my location); Timezones and time formats settings; Any automatic BS that Windows 10 has; Obviously restating the computer (laptop); What fixes the problem temporarily is actually adding the already appearing as added language and layout in the settings from the second screenshot and then removing it straight after. After this the languages appearing in the pop-out thing from next to the clock go back to the ones I have actually added. Why this is a big issue: This bug is super frustrating as I constantly switch between the languages I type in (Alt+Shift if it matters) and instead of toggling between two options, I toggle between 3 or even 4 (as seen in Capture 1). So I can't reliably know which is my selected layout at the current moment and I end up typing in one language with the wring layout which ends up being something like this: "jdud éq jdud rph.eod udjf mrtkd kd /chd,iur ici dkh.rxiud u.dlrdjw,d" Awesome right? I have checked and this problem is not limited to me and the languages I use. I imagine a lot of bilingual people have to use more than one layout and switch between them. Worst of all is that some of the posts I found of people complaining from the same issue are from 2016 and no fix has been published or implemented in any of the numerous updates to the OS. Multiple fixes have been proposed in some of those forum threads but there seen to be no consensus of which (if any) work. Here are some links that I have found discussing this issue: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/windows-10-keeps-adding-keyboard-layouts https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-other_settings/windows-keeps-automatically-adding-en-us-keyboard/69aaea0d-f588-4d54-89fa-a632ae7bced3?auth=1&page=1 https://superuser.com/questions/483086/how-do-i-remove-automatically-added-keyboard-layouts#484595 https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/8hle7x/windows_10_keeps_adding_keyboard_layouts_without/ https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/1871102-windows-10-us-language-repeatedly-returns I am hoping that maybe with the power of this forum and the community and maybe eventually LMG, we can come with a solid reliable somution and/or even make Microsoft fix this stupid issue that seems to have existed forever now. Thank you, everyone and all the best! Ned

Hey all, my Atx 20 + 4 pin is getting me very annoyed. I’m trying to hook the 4 pin back on to make it 24 altogether but to no luck. Anyone know how to do this? I’m starting to get angry at the fact that something trivial is messing me up.

Hi all, My asus Prime x470 rgb, and the rgb strips connected to the board are flickering as well. Its almost as if i set the rgb on the board to 10fps, it isn't noticeable when its a single color, but dimming, causes flicker. This problem just sprung up on me, yesterday. Its incredibility annoying, sense my computer controls 10metres of rgb strips around my room, which the signal from the mobo gets repeated and amplified, so the board isnt driving the strips directly, and thus my whole room flickers. I tried, reinstall aura, icue, cleared cmos, set bios to optimized defaults. Thanks for your help. Asus prime x470, r5 3600, 16gb, 550 watt psu.

Hi guys, i´ve noticed that my CM ATCS 840 gets noisy from time to time. It seems like the noise is coming from the left side panel vibrating (when i touch it/hold it in place, the noise stops). I´ve made sure that it´s sitting in place properly already. Do you have any suggestions/ideas how i could fix this issue and stop the side panel from vibrating? Other than that i managed to get the case pretty silent with 3 new 200mm Noctua fans, so this vibration stuff is really killing it for me right now.. Thanks in advance!

Dear Community! Im facing a really weird issue. Before I start my rig would be PSU: FPS Hexa+ 85 550W CPU: Intel I5 7500 MEM: ddr4 2133mhz 8gb OLD GPU: GTX 1050 ti 4gb asus rog NEW GPU: GTX 1060 3gb gigabyte windforce Now my problem, is that I got a new GPU. There is not much of a difference concerning power but a couple of FPS matters isn't it? As soon as I installed my new GPU i run couple of games most of them on high/ultra settings and had no issues. The part where I had the issue (for instance on PUBG) my PSU started to make a really weird noise. And it was really loud too. So it is not doing it all the time and its silent while im using the PC like for browsing or movie or anything. It's so loud it scarres the s** out of me so basically i cant play with those games because Im afraid its gonna ruin my hardware. My PSU has still warranty on it, however I might need to upgrade to a stronger one. Does anyone else has/had similar issues like this? Thank you for your answers in advance. If i havent shared any information I can detail it even more. And sorry for my english it's not my native Have a nice day,
