Hello all, I need some help choosing the right headphones for me. Im an electrician ona cutter suction dredger which means there is a lot of noise everywhere especially in our workshop because we have a big ass winch from the anchor on top of the workshop so let me tell ya when that thing starts screaming it requires me to put on my 3M peltor III earmuffs. The prob with earmuffs is they are not headphones. Sweating of ears after long periods of wearing, high pressure on head etc. Earmuffs I use in engine room etc. But would like to have something while in the workshop on the pc or doing something so I don't hear noise and listen to music. Both Bose and Sony are a great choice. Im leaning towards bose because of the noise cancelling. Am I wrong? Give me your thoughts. Thanks in advance

Hi everyone, I have a question. Is there any software/option to use a secondary microphone as an active noise cancelling mic? I have a Aorus AD27qd monitor which has ANC if I use the mic directly on the monitor hub. I have been using that feature for a while and It works really well. I have switched to a USB interface with a condenser mic, so I don't have the option to use the ANC in the monitor. What I have in my mind is to use the microphone on my webcam ( Logitech c920 ) as the ANC mic, but I couldn't find any software or information about that. Thanks!

As the title says I'm currently looking for a true wireless in-ear headset. For many of my activities I need to be able to talk to someone on the phone and to someone else in person at the same time or alternating. Typically I would have one ear-piece in to use for the call, and have the other ear free to hear my surroundings, but due to a recent medical development I'm currently unable to hear voices on one of my ears, so I need to be able to hear the call as well as other people around me on a single ear. I've done some research myself, and the most promising marketing text I found was for the Huawei Freebuds Pro: But since this isn't the typical application for most users, I can't find many reviews on how well this feature actually works. I already have an unopened pack of AirPods Pro lying around, but since I will be using mostly Android and PC, I'm probably going to sell the AirPods and get something else instead. Anybody have some experience with the Freebuds Pro and can tell me how well the "Voice Mode" works? Or any suggestions for other devices? Open to anything, Sony, Jabra, Sennheiser, Samsung etc. as long as it does the job and functionality is not limited on Android devices (boo AirPods)

Hi, I started working since October in the optical industry in Germany. The machines aren't that loud that hearing protection is required, since there aren't any high pitched noise, but mostly just low frequency pump and fan noises. Still for quality of life, I am looking into some active noise cancellarion earphones for 300€ maximum that wouls blocl those sounds nicely, but also lets trough outside voices easily. Hearing music is just secondary in this situation, but would be a nice extra when walking home after work. I am mainly using Android as my phone, but theortically I also have an iPhone SE2 as a workphone although I really don't like its interface and user experience. I only use it for calls and receiving emails, nothing else. Does anyone have a good recommendation for my use case? To note I have a dislike for Sony as a company, and try to evade their products whenever possible, but if they are the only good option I can still go for them.

James mentioned that the app is optional for the Sennheiser featured on ShortCircuit during the CES. Is there any similar devices besides this? For context, this is for an elderly gentleman who is easily startled by loud, unexpected environmental noise. And while he works in the IT industry himself, he's a very infrequent user of—and loathes using—phones, smart or not (ringtones and notifications also count towards unexpected noise). So for his purposes, it needs to be an ANC devices but without any separate device/app required for operation. It doesn't necessarily have to be in-ear; I just want to know what kind of options are available specifically for noise suppression, rather than any sort of playback.

Hi guys! I'm posting on the forum because I know it's a very helpful community and I hope to get some opinions and experiences from other people. So, I'm looking for a pair of headphones. They have to be over-ear, have bluetooth, have Active Noise Cancellation, and be of good quality. Naturally I have some contenders for this position. First of all I have the Bose QC 35. Second there is the Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Wireless And lastly we have the Sennheiser PXC 550. All of these have pros and cons and I'm trying to decide. I'm probably going to buy them all and try them first for a week or so to find out which is the best for me but for now, which one would you buy? I'm going to use it in an open office space with some people in it and it would help me concentrate to have it more quiet around me.

Hi! I am currently looking for some headphones around the $60 to $150 price range. I am looking to use these for gaming at home, listening to music at school, and listening to music on roadtrips Note: I do not consider myself to be an audiophile but would enjoy a change of pace with nicer sounding headphones Usual music: Electronic Example 1 Example 2 Previous Headset Turtle Beach earforce px21 Reason for new headphones: The band on this headset broke and CANNOT be repaired Features I would like Active noise canceling- For in-school and at home to block out people and my furnace Bluetooth- Able to connect to a bluetooth adapter on my pc and then connect to my phone at school Around Ear- Would like the earcups to be at least as large as the Turtle Beaches becuase I fit them pretty well Comfort- I would like them to be able to handle my 12 hour gaming sprees without hurting Options I have looked into CB3 Hush- Look Ok but I am afraid the cushioning would crush my ears like on-ear headphones Naztech i9- Better than the Ausdoms and has almost 600 good reviews Ausdom ANC7- Looks ok but not alot of reviews Audio-Technica ATH-ANC7B QuietPoint- Havent looked too much into this one but it looks ok PS: You will be happy to know I have looked through other topics that go along these lines but was not happy with any of the suggestions Thank you for any suggestions you may have!

I’m looking to go full wireless and earbuds are my preferred form factor. I’ll be switching from seinhesier 6 hd mix over ear. I absolutely love the way they sound and would like to get a pair of wireless earbuds with similar sound quality, but I’m not real sure what’s out there. Active noise canceling would also be a huge plus so I was looking at the new 1more true wireless anc coming out. Are they any good? Any other recommendations?

Hi everyone, I am looking for a pair of comfortable ANC headphones. Sound quality is of very little importance as all it will be used for is some video watching and the occasional online call. So as long as it sounds good enough, has a decent mic (not too important), and is comfortable, it’s good enough for me. I mainly need it for the noise canceling, so that must work very well. I have tried looking for a pair online, but all that comes up are the wh1000xms and a few bose pairs. All of which cost around $300+. So, I would like to know if anyone knows of anything that suits my needs. I do have the sony wh-ch700n and the noise canceling does not work at all, so i am willing to pay for something better than those. I am fine with spending in the $100-200 range but the cheaper the better. However, if you believe the wh1000xm3, xm4, or an equivalently priced pair is worth the extra $100 or so, i would be willing to wait until black friday or a good sale (hopefully prime day) to pick one of those up. Thanks in advance!

Hi guys, I'm looking to buy a new pair of ANC Bluetooth headphones. I know there are a lot of great Headphones out there (Surface 2, Sony xm4, ....) but i am unsure if the latency with Bluetooth is going to be an issue for me. I know about aptx ll but most devices do not support it... If i spend big (300€+) i want to be able to use my headphones for music, podcasts and movies both on the road and at home. Is latency still a big issue or is Bluetooth nowadays good enough to enjoy movies etc.?

The XM4s cost 349 USD and are available for preorder now at: amazon us Best Buy. Also my local Online Shop has them too, they cost 399 CHF here. Videos Main annoucment: Sony WH-1000XM4 short ads which go over the main new features and explain the intended use cases: MKBHD already has a pair and I'm looking forward to his review: Quotes My thoughts So Wow ! I have been waiting for these since January when reports came out of the FCC filling that they had to do. I am happy that they're finally here since I am in need of an upgrade from my existing Sony WH-900N which are from 2015. I will get the new Sony WH-1000XM4s as soon as I've got more money to spend. I am ready to be blown away by the much much improved ANC and AI performance improvements by the XM4s over my old WH-900Ns. I am sure these will exceed everyone's expectations and become a Benchmark for Industry leading Noise Cancellation and AI features just like their predecessors, the XM3s, did. I'm a fan of the simple Industrial looking design and the matt colors with Bronze accents so I don't mind that they haven't done much to the looks. So I am searching for nice but not too expensive noise cancelling or something like it earbuds. I’m a swimmer and when I go to meets, I want to listen to music but it is usually super noisy with people screaming and everything. Also, I’m really not a fan of headphones, they are too bulky for my taste. Thanks in advance for your response and have a good day

When the PXC 550 was first release it I didn't need a wireless earphones yet and sony's offer was cheaper as well. But recently I've been travelling a lot and I'm in need of a pair of earphones. I mostly listen to music, stream meadia, and play games. I don't do any professional work that deals with music. As of now it's around $180 but I'm also wondering if there are any other wireless headphones released within the year that beats/competes with it at the same or at a lower price. My maximum budget is well, $200. But honestly if spending more than a certain amount doesn't give much in terms of value then I probably would go cheaper. My priority would be build quality and comfort. (My old headphones are made of plastic and since I have to extend it to fit me perfectly it ended up cracking). Sound, I listen to a lot of music since I move around so that's a huge plus too. Not really a fan of too much bass. I do have an amp so being able to use it wired when I'm at my desktop would be nice as well. TL:DR PXC 550 just went on a price drop, is it worth it now? or are there better alternatives? With a priority of build quality and comfort then sound, then the rest.

what are the effects of using Active noise cancelling headphones to acheive noise isolation while using a vr headset like the htc vive. is there any benifit to using anc headphones in terms of immersion or is there no difference? And if there is a benifit is the extra immersion worth it or is to dangerous

I just got a new ASUS Vulcan ANC headset, and I turned the volume on my computer up to the maximum, but the volume is still not that loud. Is there anything I can do about this (like a sound volume booster or something else)?
