Yo guys. I bought myself a all in one liquid cooling set, For some overclocking. At the moment I have overclocked it to 4.2 ghz (I don't know how to OC well, and this works fine for now) But while using prime95 to see if it's stable I noticed something. (using HwInfo)Under the name of your motherboard it says:CPU (TEMP)CPU (TEMP)Motherboard (TEMP)(And more names of things)But on the second CPU wilst running prime95 could reach temp from 82 degrees celcius. I am wondering if that is a temp of a sensor where I should not worry about. or is it my socket temp? (Which the max should be 72)It's not my cpu because my cpu has a margin of 31.1 (Amd Overdrive)So can someone please tell me if that is my socket temp? or that it is something not to worry about, Specs:AMD FX 8320 black edition (4.2 ghz)msi gaming 970 motherboard16 gb ddr3 rammsi gaming gtx 960 4gbP.S. I did a higher overclock of 4.4 ghz, and then that ''Cpu'' tab would reach 92 degrees

Hi there I am overclocking the amd fx 8320 I got it to be Intel burn test stable on high at 4.4 ghz and 1.472 volts. My temps are maxing out at 43C and Intel burn test makes your CPU reach the highest possible temp it will so I doubt my CPU will ever be pushed to the limits the burn test makes it. The games I play don't ever load it above 50% maybe if that high so my question is if it's Aida 64 stable for 10 minutes is it stable for games?

Hey guys I managed to Overclock my amd fx 8320 while using my kraken X61. I managed to get it to 4.4 ghz with only 1.472V. I used Intel burn test on High and did 10 threads and it managed to say it was stable. Since I'm using my kraken x61 I'm only reaching temps of 43C would it be okay to push it a bit more? And keep in mind Intel burn test makes your CPU go as hot as it possibly can so I doub't I'll ever see those temps while gaming.

Hello fellow 8320 users! I am trying to over clock right now and just test my limits. I was curious as to what all of your settings were (NB voltage, Core Voltage, Nb freq, HT freq, etc.). As well as if you noticed OCing your ram helps or anything like that. Feel free to share your settings! I'd love to compare and try and maximize my overclock. Right now my settings are as follows... CPU FSB FREQ: 200 CPU Ratio: 22.5 (4.5 ghz) Cpu-NB Ratio: 12 (2.4ghz) DRAM Frequency: 1866 Mhz Dram timing: Link Advanced dram config: Command Rate: 2T Tcl: 9T Trcd: 10T Trp: 9T tRas: 30T (I have notice Overclocking my Ram increases Frame rate by around 5% in certain games) CPU Voltage: 1.431 (+0.015) CPU-NB Voltage 1.208V (-0.06) DRAM Voltage: 1.624V (1.620V) NB Voltage: 1.15V Please feel free to share your thoughts as well as your own settings! Cheers

Hi there, I'm kinda confused I'm running a stress test with Aida right now with my kraken at full speed and I'm looking at my cam software and it says my liquid temp is 36C and then my current CPU temp is 24C and 35C on each socket. Do I need to reapply thermal paste or is my kraken working properly? I just never thought your liquid was suppose to be warmer than you CPU or the same temp as your sockets...

I'm building a desktop and just compared my current processor to the one I'm using in my new build. Apparently the i7 2720qm @2.2ghz is a pretty damn good cpu. I compared the two on cpuboss and the i7 scored 7.4 and the amd scored 5.7. Should I look into a motherboard that could fit the processor I have in my AW? Or am I wasting my breath and did AW once again screw me over by having this soldered into the motherboard as well? P.S just so you know the Graphics card i plan to be using is the ASUS Strix GTX 980 so I don't know if that would once again work better with the i7 2720 or with the processor I already bought.

Hello guys, Recently I built my first (self build) pc. With an AMD Fx8320. I heard stories that the stock fan would be very loud. I thought by myself well it can't be that bad right? Well as you may know, IT IS. When playing Battlefield 4 (or any other CPU intense game) the fan would spin so hard my pc might fly away when I look away So I want to buy a new cooler. My first thought was a Cooler Master Hyper 212 evo But that one is too tall so it wont fit in my case unfortunatly. So my attention fell at the Cooler Master Hyper TX3 Evo. But I don't know if it will fit (Interference with the RAM as I assume the fan must be pointing towards the ram for Airflow reasons) So I am asking if people with this motherboard and/or cooler (or someone else who may know this ) Will it fit? Sorry for the poor quality image. PC SPECS: CPU: AMD FX 8320 RAM: 2x 8GB Kingston beast DDR3 RAM GPU: MSI Geforce Gaming gtx 960 4gb Motherboard: MSI Gaming 970 Case: sharkoon t28 red edition (I don't think HDD and PSU are important for this matter) (Didn't know to put this in Air cooling or motherboard topic. Excuse me if I am in the wrong section)

Hello guys! I would really like liquid cooling for my cpu, but I have been wondering, Where do I put the radiator? I don't have top fans, I do have 2 intake fans and 1 exhaust fan (Look picture) I want liquid cooling because my stock amd cooler makes too much noise (When under load i have the feeling my case is going to fly away ) And I want to do some overclocking So I researched a bit on google and found out that most people put their radiator on their top fans (If that is the right word) But I don't have those So my question is where do I put my radiator (If my case is able to support that) and which liquid cooling system do you guys recommend (120mm single fan please) Full pc specs CPU: AMD FX-8320 (with stock cooler at the moment) GPU: MSI GTX 960 4 gb RAM: 16gb DDR3 RAM Motherboard: MSI GAMING 970 PSU: 500W sharkoon PSU CASE: Sharkoon t28 red edition (please dont hate on my cable management, It's my first ever build. Tips are always really appreciated)

Hello everyone, It seems I got my tax refund and I might have enough money for a CPU upgrade. I have just enough cash to be somewhere inbetween a AMD FX 8300 and a 8320. Intel is not an option since I allready have a motherboard for the CPU, a decent air cooler and I'm fixed on a FX cpu. The FX 8350 is outside of my budget. The 8320E might fit, but I'm not considering it since it's even weaker than the 8300 at the same TDP. As I understand, they are the same; the differences beeing the base clock (multiplier changed!) and the stock voltage (8300 beeing undervolted to gain a lower TDP). Here are some comparisons, the 8300 vs the 8320: http://cpuboss.com/cpus/AMD-FX-8320-vs-AMD-FX-8300 http://www.cpu-monkey.com/en/compare_cpu-amd_fx_8300-224-vs-amd_fx_8320-225 http://www.cpu-world.com/Compare/303/AMD_FX-Series_FX-8300_vs_AMD_FX-Series_FX-8320.html What do you say, better getting an FX 8300 or an FX 8320? Reasons and suggestions? http://strawpoll.me/4731752 The board supports both (Asus M5A97 R2.0 Evo), both of them support 1866MHz memory (my RAM is 1866 by default, Kingston HyperX Fury) and my cooler has a rating of 180W TDP (an LC-CC-120, almost like an CM hyper 212 Evo) - should also enable some overclocking (I hope arround 4.5 GHz).

So guys.. I had just put in my brand new r9 280x, everything working fine, downloaded the latest drivers and with no issues. I opened CS:GO to start benchmarking and the screen went black. So I restarted my computer and the card will show the uefi bios perfectly fine, but when it goes on to load the windows login screen all I get is a black screen where all I can see is my cursor (as well as move it around). I have tried going back onto my old Quadro FX 580 (which displays perfectly fine) and uninstall/reinstall driver but to no avail, getting the same problem once I switch back to the 280x. My Computer parts: Gigabyte 990FX-UD3 (rev 4.1) AMD FX 8320 Sapphire R9 280x SeaSonic M12II 750W Bronze 80+ running on Windows 8.1 64-bit

Hey people! So, I have to cool down this AMD FX 8320 with something, and I thought on a Corsair H100i. Problem is that my actual case is.. Well.. Kind of looks like this: So I was thinking on get a Sentey Burton PC case, and I was wondering if this H100i would fit in there. Sentey Burton Corsair H100i As you can see, the Burton has two fans in the top of it, but, is that enough for fitting this H100i? Do you think it'd be enough for cooling this FX 8320 overclocking it to 4.0GHz or 4.5GHz? Thanks for replying if you do!

So I just switched to My new mortherboard which is the ASRock 970de3u3s3, and suddenly I'm getting ridiculous overheating issues, high CPU usage issues on idle, and low frames in games. When I'm in the bios, my CPU is at about 56 degrees (celcius) but when I go into my operating system and check cpuid I get about 28-37 degrees celcius so I'm not sure what's up there. Also when my PC is in idle it will randomly jump up to 20-40% CPU usage on the gadget meter. Also during gameplay, I'm getting extremely low fps in games like CSGO. With my old Mobo which was the 960gmu3s3 (which is a terrible mobo) I would get 200+fps. Now I only get 80 and lower. Does anyone think this could be the mobo or some other problem? Also I did reinstall windows, check for viruses, updated the bios etc. The people at micro center did tell me that the 8320 is supported by this mobo and it should work better than my old one. If the mobo is the issue, is there a way to fix it or should I just get a different one? Specs: -AMD FX 8320 -ASROCK 970de3/u3se -8 GB ram - 450w Thermaltake PSU -GTX 750 Superclocked

So my motherboard from asrock recently died due to mysterious and unknown causes. Now i'm looking for a new one that fits an amd fx 8320 cpu. I'm not going to use asrock again. I need a mother board that has really good features and can do mild overclocking. I'd like it to have at least 3 pci x16 slots and maybe if someone can find one with thunderbolt onboard too. Thunderbolt is freaking awesome. (or the capability to add an expansion card?) Really good lan nic too please. My budget is nothing over 600 USD.

I was wondering how the amd fx 6300 performs in games when compared with the amd 8320, intel i5 3570k, and the intel i3 4330. I know that obviously the intel i5 and the the amd 8320 will out perform the amd 6300, however i just want to know by how much. I do mostly gaming, some video editing, and a lot of multitasking. I would be using this cpu with either a evga sc 750ti or the gigabyte 660. Thanks so much for the help.

Hi, i was wondering if you can get the same speeds on an over clocked 8320 compared to an over clocked 8350. It's pretty normal to over clock an 8350 to 4,5ghz or 4,6ghz but is it possible to over clock an 8320 to the same speed? If I'm not totally wrong it's the same chip and all. But i might be wrong thats why I'm looking for an answer on this amazing forum. http://cpuboss.com/cpus/AMD-FX-8350-vs-AMD-FX-8320 Thanks - Ole Kjær

im not going to repost my build again lol im using a gtx 660. this build is (for right now) gaming. im a freshman in college majoring in interective media & design (graphic arts, photo/video editing, web design and maybe animation). im not sure what programs i will use. i will not be replacing any of the parts i have any time soon after the pc is bought. i am currently going to buy an 8320 but im hearing intel with its 4 cores and hyper threading (i believe the 4570 has hyper threading) but i cant tell if this is just fanboys talking or not. most people seem to agree that intel is better if you can afford it and with the 4570 being the same price as the 8350, if i was to switch to a stronger processor should i go with the 8350 or the 4570? is there a need to switch cpu's(8350 or 4570)? i can fit it in the budget if you think i should. also if you think i should swap for an intel could you recommend a mobo?

So to make it short I bought an awful pre-built PC 2 years ago. I finally saved some extra money to spend on a rig that can actually game compared to my current PC. Current (soon-to-be-replaced) PC: Gateway DX4380-UR23 ($500 at time of purchase), Azio G2000 ($22 at time of purchase), Rosewill RK-8100 ($28 at time of purchase). Believe it or not I don't currently have a desk to work with so I spent some money on this: Techni Mobili Mobile And this is my new build! (all parts are being delivered next week): PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor ($137.95 @ SuperBiiz) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($28.95 @ NCIX US) Thermal Compound: Arctic Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver 3.5g Thermal Paste ($6.79 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($108.99 @ SuperBiiz) Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 280X 3GB Tri-X Video Card ($238.98 @ Newegg) Case: Fractal Design Define R4 (Black Pearl) ATX Mid Tower Case ($79.99 @ Newegg) Power Supply: SeaSonic M12II 750W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32/64-bit) ($99.98 @ OutletPC) Case Fan: Arctic Cooling Arctic F12 74.0 CFM 120mm Fan ($6.98 @ OutletPC) Case Fan: Arctic Cooling Arctic F12 74.0 CFM 120mm Fan ($6.98 @ OutletPC) Case Fan: Arctic Cooling Arctic F12 74.0 CFM 120mm Fan ($6.98 @ OutletPC) Keyboard: Cooler Master CM Storm QuickFire TK Wired Gaming Keyboard Cherry MX Blue ($93.09 @ Amazon) Mouse: SteelSeries Sensei RAW Heat Orange Wired Laser Mouse ($38.99 @ Amazon) The only things I don't have listed are a 1TB HDD, 500GB, some basic Kingston RAM (2x4GB,1x2GB), and a TP-LINKWDN4800. All being pulled from the old pc to the new. I would return the Steel Series RAW for the full black rubberized version but I'm lazy, don't care too much about color matching, but primarily just don't want to want to ship it back out (I tried cancelling before it shipped but to no avail). SO! In the end how did I do for a budget gaming rig that I can use for some overclocking? Opinions?
