Hey, I want to buy a Notebook but I can't decide between the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 14 with the AMD Ryzen 5 4500U, 8 GB Ram 512 GB SSD for 649,99€ or the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 14 with the AMD Ryzen 5 5500U, 16 GB Ram 512 GB SSD 749,99€ The rest of the Hardwear is the same. I cant Upgrade the Ram, but I can upgrade the SSD later on. There is no Model available with the same specs but a smaller SSD. I want to use the PC for school and later University. No Gaming or Video editing etc. Only writing and lots of Googling. It should last for about 5-6 Years. Do you have a good alternative? If so please let me know.

Good evening, i have been investigating this topic for a few weeks but i haven't reached a conclusion so i decided to ask to those who knows. The point is i was pondering if i should buy a GT 1030 as a stopgap solution for several projects in Photoshop, illustrator and premiere or the integrated graphics are better? since the build already have a Ryzen 3 2200g cpu im on the fence about buying the card. ---- Parts ---- PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KdVPBc CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 2200G 3.5 GHz Quad-Core Processor Motherboard: Asus PRIME B450M-A Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard Memory: Crucial Ballistix 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory Storage: Gigabyte 240 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Storage: Western Digital Mainstream 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Case: Cooler Master MasterBox Lite 3.1 MicroATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: Corsair CXM 550 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply Any recommendation, opinion or alternative would be greatly appreciated. (BTW here in mexico the GT 1030 is around $100~200 freedom bucks, same goes for the RX 550 also the used market is a complete ripoff GT 730 goes for 90 bucks min :'V)

I'm curious, how bad would this be after you rip and tear it apart such as to force fit it into the role?

So I had bought a Thermaltake Tower 900 because it has these features: Has a BluRay disc Bay (5.25 inch drive bay) has glass and is closed has vertical GPU mount its so huge its very flashy BUT amazon (UPS?) has so far destroyed 2 during shipping, resulting in returns. So I think its too big for amazon (UPS?) to handle. So could anyone please help me with another flashy case that has the drive and glass and vertical GPU? I'm not gonna liquid cool with a custom loop, but I do have a 3 fan Closed loop cooler. and my gpu is a 4090 so... yeah. gonna need space but not as much as the TTT900. I've been looking for a while but really I can't find cases that look as good as the TTT900 with a disc bay. they either all look horrible, or have no glass, or are open (like the awesome looking cougar cases but sadly, dust is a huge problem for me). I currently have a Corsair Obsidian 750D, but it is too serious and the front doesn't show off very well... also it houses my old pc and I would prefer to leave it there. I unfortunately live where I can't buy pc cases unless its online and it ships to Mexico. Oh and it's super important DHL delivers, UPS sucks and Fedex is even worse. USPS will result in my package being stolen by mexican authorities at any border or customs (I speak from experience).

Not sure where to post this, so I'm sorry if it's in the wrong place. Tldr at the bottom I'm looking for RGB alternatives, I've got an Asus g370-g Mobo which has no rgb headers. I've got a nzxt h400i and a cpu cooler both controlled by CAM software and the rest is controlled by Aura sync i.e ram, gpu, Mobo lights. Tldr: Now I'm looking for a rgb hub/controlled that maybe connects via usb to my mobo and if I'm lucky also syncs with Aura? I'm thinking either one of these, Aura terminal, phanteks hub (love their neon RGB strips), Corsair commander pro or just nzxt hue 2. Thanks for the help

Hi all, remember me? (okay maybe not) I somehow dug myself a hole. Back in November, I asked in the community here what would be a solid portable gaming computer? See, when I asked that I was just searching for some options, and see what everyone thought. After some mulling I bit the bullet and chose Razer, cause you know, they've got some expertise behind their backs? Well apparently I ended up with some crap unit, cause as I am typing right now it's on its way back to the factory to get some diagnostics and repair done. Don't even get me started haha. Anywho, after all that headache and nonsense, I come here again, seeking some assistance. What is a proper reliable, gaming (and multipurpose) laptop?

I've been using SpeedFan for a while now. I've used Asus fan expert before and I find that their is a lack of advanced options available. You might ask why I've been using it if I think it sucks, well that's because I can't find a better alternative. However, I don't like to settle for "well that'll just have to do"! With my setup, I have a whole load of issues: - Out of the CPU Temps only CPU core temps are shown in SpeedFan (which causes fans to increase and decrease due to the individual cores fluctuating naturally) The temperature that was listed as "CPU" actually turned out to be the chipset temperature. - Can't control GPU fan. - Lack of updates - Crashes and other issues. The first two points are my main issues! If anyone can suggest an alternative to SpeedFan I would be very grateful Below is the info SpeedFan gives out when it is opened up: Win9x:NO 64Bit:YES GiveIO:NO SpeedFan:YES I/O properly initialized Linked ISA BUS at $0290 Linked Intel Sunrise Point SMBUS at $F000 Found nVidia GeForce GTX 1080 Linked nVidiaI2C0 SMBUS at $3D403E3F Linked nVidiaI2C1 SMBUS at $3D403637 Linked nVidiaI2C2 SMBUS at $3D405051 Scanning ISA BUS at $0290... Hello, I was going through Facebook and saw a really cool video of someone using a video for their wallpaper, but upon closer inspection I found they were not running windows 10. I know for a fact that it is possible on Windows XP and Vista through Dreamscene, but I haven't seen anything for windows 10. Does anyone know if it is still supported? Thanks in advance for any suggestions and comments

Hi, I am looking for comfortable over ear headphones with jack for listenig/gaming. I don't want to spend more than 90 euros ($100). I only tried frend's Razer Kraken 2015 headphones and was very impressed. Are there any good alternatives? (I am sure there are, I am just noob in this tech )

Hi there, I recently decided that I wanted to learn about programming and I'm looking for suggestions on where to begin. I have started looking into different topics but the vast scope and numerous languages are somewhat terrifying. I have been using Apple computers for several years now. I gave up Windows because I couldn't stand them any longer but my growing impatience with Apple inspired me to take some time to learn about computers. I recently ordered a new MacBook and was going to recycle the old one but now I'm thinking to hold onto it while I play with programming to run bootcamp if need be. My goals are: 1. Understand how the OS works 2. Learn the difference between languages and what each are used best for 3. Apply simple coding and design I guess the "shoot for the stars" question is how do I create my own operating system and programs for consumers? I Don't have the time to go to school for several years so I'm looking for a way I can learn this in the evenings and weekend.

Hi all, so i'm in desperate need of a new laptop and i would love to get a razer blade 14" 2017, the high specs, touchscreen and especially the professional look of it are perfect. Unfortunatly, i live in the Netherlands and razer doesn't sell them here, there is one small company that imports them but they are currently out of stock and it could take awhile before the get new ones in. Because of this i've been looking for similar laptops but can't really find anything, almost everything with similar specs is very gamery and i can't find anything with a touchscreen(which would be very nice to have). am i not searching good enough or is there really nothing out there? I would love to get some suggestions for different laptops and maybe on how i could get my hands on a razer blade.

I work with video content on a daily basis, and my editing software doesn't like the filetype that my camera records in. I have been using Handbrake for the longest time, but want something that will be a little more of a time saver. AME looked like the best bet from what I have seen and read, especially from LTT's video, but you have to buy Premiere to get it. I would like software that is free and is able to automatically transcode files from a watch folder (LTT needs this too) into a mezzanine filetype, preferably AVI, MP4, or M4V. Thanks in advance!

Any sites that does not use google search? Their results are getting crappier by the second, so is there one that don't use it? Most of them still grab the same search result. For example. I search "thumbtack", a thing use to pin stuffs. Instead of getting the actual thing, all I got was a bunch of social media garbage.

Hello everyone, I went to a Microsoft store yesterday, and tried out the Surface studio with the Pen, that weird round butten-like thing, etc. and I have to say that it blew my mind. Really. It's very nice to work on, especially with Photoshop or Illustrator, and the Pen input is quite accurate (like my Wacom tablet). The main thing htat kept me from outright buying one however was the price point. an i5 and 8gb of RAM for $3000?! Hell nah! So... Does anyone have ideas how to build something like the surface studio, but for cheaper, or are there any other good options out there wit hthe same specs (28" monitor, multitouch, maybe pen input) except the stuff from Wacom? That's pretty expensive as well.. Fredi

Hey I am looking for a new laptop for college and have fallen in love with the surface laptop. I never knew I wanted a screen with a more square aspect ration until I laid my eyes on it. The buildquality is amazing and the keyboard and touchpad are great as well. But some things are making me hesitant about buying one: The design team must have had a stroke when choosing the ports It is not serviceable The price So I wanted to ask if you can recommend good alternatives with a bright and high quality display that is preferably not 16:9, that is stylish, has a good combination of ports (sd reader and thunderbolt are appreciated) and has good keyboard and trackpad. The buildquality should also be good so LG gram is out of the question. Thank you for your answers in advance!

So I was in the market for an Ipod Touch, and found that all the used ones were very expensive. I was wondering if there was any recommendations for a similar product (or able to be used similarly) on the android side of the spectrum, preferably for under ~60-80 US$. My best bet is probably an old unlocked refurbished phone, but I'm not quite sure. Let me know what you think!

So i wanted to present to the community a new alternative to Steam : Good Old Games See,Steam has been the mainstream pc games vendor trough time. The problem is,they had and still have monopoly over pc games distribution. As such they could do and still do whatever they want with games. This gives Steam no reason to improve or aim for better services. This has led to a very good platform with sales and everything, but no true freedom of choice as you are arbitrarily forced to log on the internet, plus, the games are all DRM,wich Good old games does not do such things. Good Old Games aims to bring back the time where we TRULY owned our games, where we simply shoved our games in our computers and consoles and played right away with no arbitrary rules or client to be able to play or install our games. Especially with the brand new 1.2 client!!! Another advantage with this new client and distributor is that you can simply download an OFFLINE installer for your games ,put it on any media you want, and reinstall it without requiring the client to reinstall. Anyway,i won't try and convice you as this could take all day. instead, i will give you all a link to their website and video introduction. Enjoy! an may the Golden age of gaming come back https://www.gog.com/

I've been using Voicemeeter for a while now for splitting game and Discord audio and can't live without it, but I can't get rid of this slight audio delay that is driving me crazy. I have tried everything but nothing will remove the delay, so I'm looking for an alternative. Any help and suggestions are greatly appreciated, thanks.

Hello, While changing out the water in my cooling loop, i also thought about upgrading/changing my case. The 900D is pretty nice for what it is, but there's some points which I don't like: - The bottom chamber is completely visible (you'll see the whole PSU cable mess) - The spacing is just too big for an ATX Mainboard - It looks untidy, no matter what I do (blame my OCD or cable management) - The backside behind the Mainboard tray is too shallow, tubes get squished (not a good thing for a watercooling case) The good things however are: - That it's got a window - It's got two 480mm radiator mounts - Up to 9 Drive bays at the same time - A lot of room for reservoirs, etc... NIce, clean optics from the outside So, I am looking for a new case (possibly an upgrade over the current situation, and I hoped someone could help me with their knowledge of what's out there. I already had a look myself, and I came across cases like *a lot of IN WIN stuff*, Caselabs (too expensive although super cool), and the Thermaltake "The Tower 900", which is even bigger than my case. I do have a few requirements: - At least a 360/480 radiator mount - Support for watercooling overall - Support for E-ATX Boards - At least 5 drive slots - Full size ATX power supplies - Can't think of any more, will add if I remember... EDIT: - A Window to show my mainboard (preferebly tembered glass) What am I using at the moment?: - i7 6700k - Gigabyte GA-Z170X-SOC force - HyperX Fury 32GB 2133MHz DDR4 - EVGA GTX Titan 6GB (700-800MHz ) - For storage various drives from Seagate, WD, Toshiba, etc... - Be Quiet! Dark Power Pro 1000W - NZXT Hue+ - (4GBps Fibre card if anyone's interested) Watercooling: - EK Supremacy plexi - EK clear tubing - EK Reservoir 125mm - EK DDC 3.2 plexi top - EK Fittings (3/8 I believe) - Alphacool 480mm 15mm thick full copper radiator That should be the list.. I really plan to get a new GPU in the future, mybe a new Titan X Pascal? After getting a new case of course... Anyways, have a nice evening guys! Hope somebody can help me out! Fredi
