Hi guys, It's been over 2 months since i finished last build, so it's time to start something new! After mITX Project FrostyBoy and 'normal size' Project Impossible and All or Nothing this time we're going balls to the wall with heavy moddifed monstrous Parvum L1.0 . The real beginnings of new project go back to end of 2016 when i bought Parvum L1.0 case. Few major delays didn't allow me to start this project till now. One of the biggest problems was cost of all parts - i simply couldn't afford all desirable parts on my own. External support in meaningful way was necessary if the project was to be executed in way i designed it. I would like to thank aquatuning.de and Alphacool for providing all water cooling suff, without this support this project wolud be impossible to realize. Also big thanks to Noiseblocker for providing best fans i can dream of . The new project means new approach to planning and modding - I decided to design everything before I start the real work. The effect in the form of a 3d model is shown below - I tried to make it as accurately as possible. All mods i designed myself, and they were executed by Parvum to ensure best possible quality. Few mods were unsuccessful but finally i own case with even greater LC capabilities than before. Downside of all this unsuccessful mods is numer of 'spare' panels i have - with them i'm able to build 2nd and piece od 3rd L1.0 . Only three panels from original L1.0 i've bought last year are present in current case - both sides, and baseplate (but not for long). Relative to the original L1.0 can now hold 2 x 480mm radiators in basement (instead of 2x360mm), and 420mm at the top (instead of 360mm). Front radiator mounting capability was droped due to problem with heating interior of the case by such radiator. Midplate was moddified to accomodate Aquaero and special plate for mounting two pumps was designed.

Hello all, my name is Ernest and this is my first topic in this forum. I have just completed first phase of my last project HyperionMod, so I decided it was the right moment to show you the current workflow. In this project I used Raidmax Hyperion case . I decided on it because the casing of this manufacturer actually do not appear in projects. Second thing is that Hyperion is a cube and this is my favorite type of computer cases. 4. Anybody ever seen a pump decide to run backwards? Mine has done so and it pushing water slowly the wrong way around the loop. Previously (for a year or two) it had run very well in the correct direction.
  5. I currently have a barrow pump and it sounds horrible. second replacement looking to keep the same Top and res combo i have but switch out the pump its self for say a alpha cool vpp655? they both look identical but without having both in front i just cant afford the $$ to get a alphacool d5 and not be able to use it! https://www.alphacool.com/shop/pumps/alphacool-pumps/10620/alphacool-vpp655-single-edition barrow has 2 links. first is the full unit with top http://www.barrowint.com/index.php/article/104.html second is the pump itself http://www.barrowint.com/index.php/article/82.html Note. i currently own a PWM pump but its running full speed due to no pump header on MB

  7. Hi, I reciently built my pc and I really wanted to make a red and black build, but something different. I had some left over blood red coolant from mayhem and I fell in love with the aurora. I recently got the aurora booster from mayhem, but I don't know if it's safe to put it in my loop. Here's the one I got. https://m.newegg.com/products/9SIA9F94X20739 My loop is alpha cool x 360 radiator, ekwb evo elit waterblock, ekwb D5 glass.
  8. Alphacool has announce their cooling kits for M.2 SSD drives, and it comes in 2 models, HDX-2 and HDX-3. The HDX-2 us a passive cooling kit, where the M.2 drive is cool by the provided heatsink. HDX-3 on the other hand uses liquid cooling and comes with a nickel copper plated water block and uses standard G1/4 type fittings. Both runs on PCIe 3.0 x4. Price goes for $41 for HDX-2 and $85 for HDX-3. 9. Sofia. ( FINISHED)

Hi all. Project Sofia came to light one day when I was watching Sofia The First on tv with my 4 year old daughter. One of those grab a coffee and chill for 5 minute times. I was already in talks with Antec uk on a project, myself and my fiancée own a few antec cases.media centre and my personal build. Whilst watching the kids show with my daughter, the colour theme and build came to life. Something small, clean lines, elegant, like Sofia in the tv show, and it had to have a wow factor on the colour scheme. So I passed my plans on to Antec, and the green light was given. 11. Alphacool GPU

Fellow Techies, I will be making the plunge into water-cooling this summer (if nothing else goes wrong). I was wondering what yall thought about alphacool and their gpu blocks? I have heard a couple of cons but I have seen some nice pros. I run one gpu and then the cpu will be cooled as well. Is there any reason not to use to them for everything else? My plan is to buy the rads (1x360mm passively cooled, 1x120mm rad as intake, 2x240mm rads as intakes) before the summer, and then buy the rest during the summer, that way I am not throwing cash out of a car going 70 mph.
  12. Hi, So i have a £150-160 max budget to build a loop, I already have the GPU Block for my Titan X (also came with a backplate) I need to obvs build a full loop around it. I am relatively new to Watercooling despite doing this myself with some cheap pump and old bits of AIO coolers - yes silly i know but fun : Anywho i have £150 roughly to spend and need enough cooling power to cool the Titan X and the CPU - I will admit the CPU is an awful overclocker. The Titan X i really want to be able to push into the 1500mhz range though. Can you guys help me ?!?!? Edit : i was hoping to use 7/16" ID 5/8" OD 16/11mm tubing as i already have lots (see picture)
  13. Maker EVO Deluxe

Welcome to my next Project: „Maker EVO Deluxe" After a long time of thinking, I've decided to do a more complex Casemod. Lets see what I'm doing with it. To be called into action is coming the brand new Mastercase Maker 5. Inspired was this Mod from the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. The interior was completely cleaned and covered with pale Leather. For the Cables/PSU Area a Cover was created in the Design of the Case. It should be installed a lavish Watercooling with Brasstubes and Chrome Fittings which should seems like a Header. The AGB will fitted justified in the front of the Case, so that it will be one unit on that case and be used as brake fluid reservoir. At the Case you will find some air scoops, which are normally founded on engine covers or fenders., which will be made from me out of Aluminum Plates. At the Leather I made different punch works. Here and there will be a Wing installed together with Headlights and one DTM Axle Back Exhaust. The Theme is called Sportcar and I will try to make as much Details as possible. 14. Not really sure where to put this, but just some advice for anyone using an Alphacool Eisberg pump in their water cooling setup... So, about a year ago I installed an Alphacool Eisberg pump into my loop and it worked, it was fine for 4 months but then I came back from a week in Germany and a small puddle of liquid was sitting on the back of my GPU (luckily it survived). The pump unit had leaked. I then went back to the stock cooler for a while. Recently I RMA'd the pump and received a completely new unit from Alphacool. After less than a week the same thing had happened. On both occasions the leaks had occurred between the cold plate and the pump/res. I decided this time to just try and fix it. It turns out that the screws connecting the cold plate to the pump are slightly loose from the factory. Advice to Alphacool Eisberg owners: Tighten the screws on the copper that makes contact with the CPU, since I have done this it has been a month with no leaks used nearly 24/7. Note: it's a wonderful pump/res when it works, although slightly loud.
  15. Odd Discoloration

I have just noticed that the coolant I use has changed color. The coolant I am using at the moment, is Alphacool CKC clear. I have not added anything to the coolant. No dyes, anti-corrosives, or anit-microbials. I know that things like this are not normal, but I put this loop together late October/early November. Is this corrosion? Chemical leeching of the tubing?

  18. Hello, I was looking for an all in one cpu cooler that would keep my I7-6950x very cool and had found the Alphacool Eisbaer 360. Its easily upgradable and modular. http://www.alphacool.com/shop/sets-und-systems/eisbaer/20226/alphacool-eisbaer-360-cpu-black My case can fit all the way up to a two 560mm radiators or one 600mm radiator in the top, or even two 600mm on the either side. Also what would be good case fans? My case is capable of up to 35 140mm case fans.
  19. Glacier Build

Hi I'm Admodz Glacier came to light when Thermaltake launched the Core P3 snow edition case, I've seen many a core p3 and p5 mounted next to each other, but never stacked vertically on top of each other. 20. Hello, I have a XSPC RX 360 Rad and 240 plus a new Alphacool Eisfach reservoir, XSPC raystorm AMD cpu block bought in September and XSPC razor gtx 680 water block. The gpu block and rads are about 5 years old. But the res and cpu block are brand new now I put them together in late September. By end of October I saw this dust sitting at the bottom of the res. So I took everything apart and saw the pipes, res, fittings with this green/blue stuff. So I started cleaning them up the res, fittings and pipes. Now the rad, gpu block and cpu block I still haven't touched. I have cleaned most of the res and fittings but they are still some left as you can see in the pictures Now doing some research I think it could be corrosion or copper oxidation. All the parts are copper and brass. Except this new res which has metals in it and I think this could be the culprit. I need you guys help on how to clean it and put my loop back up Thank you
  21. 22. Alphacool has just released an improved version of the popular D5 pump. Their old model was called VPP655, so this one is VPP755. The interesting part is that they claim to have redesigned even the internals of the pump, resulting in more power and less noise than the old one. Specificly they give examples of the old model pumping water to 3,7 meters as the new one will do 4,0 meters and it consuming 23W of power for the same water flow that the new one can produce with 14W. VPP755 has a new bearing that should make it more quiet and the pump's speed can be adjusted between 1700 - 4500 rpm. It has molex, 3-pin and 4-pin PWM connectors so that you can run the pump at constant speed but still monitor it through 3-pin fan connector or alternatively control it complitely with 4-pin PWM fan connector. When in PWM mode, you can still change the maximum speed that the pump will run with the switch in the pump. Additionally it looks better now with metal body, sleeved black cables etc. Interestingly the pump is also noticeably shorter, taking a bit less space. UPDATE 1: Oh, I forgot to mention the price. It seems to cost around the same as the old model. On Aquatuning.de the basic VPP655 is 64€ and VPP655 with PWM control is 72€. The new VPP755 fits right between them at 69€. UPDATE 2: Xtremerigs has already a review of the pump. I highly recommend reading it if you're interested but here are the main findings: - VPP755 has a slightly differing dimensions compared to a normal D5 and not all pump tops will fit! - The pump motor has no real PWM control but instead runs on one of five preset speeds depending on the PWM signal. The manual control on the pump uses also those five steps, so no linear control. - The pump actually is more powerful, silent and a lot more energy efficient than a regular D5. - The sleeving on the cable is not the prettiest that there are. But the housing is really nice and more color options of it should be available in the future. 23. I was looking at the pump I will be using for my custom loop, the Alphacool VPP655, and it raised a question in my mind. There is a 4-pin Molex connector with 2 pins, and a PWM fan connector. Do I need both of them plugged in to run the pump, or is it an 'either/or' situation? If there's someone who could explain this to a first-time water cooler, that would be wonderful.
  24. Hey guys, I'm trying to mount my Alphacool XT45 240mm rad in the front mount of my Corsair 750D. Except I've run into one slight problem that I don't know how to go about fixing. The Alphacool rad has a plug on one end to add an option to bleed air from the rad. Unfortunately, when mounting the rad, this plug hits the bottom of the 5.25" bays. The 5.25" bays have rails to allow you to slide in additional HDD drive bays which I won't be using. It's these rails on the bottom of the 5.25" bays that the plug on the top of the rad is hitting. The front fan mount allows you to mount the rad in two different positions, one lower which will get in the way of my rad on the bottom of the case, and one higher, which gives me clearance from the bottom rad but presents me with my current problem of the top plug hitting the rails on the bottom of the 5.25" bays. The plug is a low profile plug by the way, only 3mm in height. This leaves me with either cutting the rails off the bottom of the 5.25" bays somehow, or drilling my own 8 holes to mount the rad in a slightly lower position, if the case allows. I was wondering if anyone has had a similar issue with clearance at the top of their front rad, and how they went about fixing it? Or if anyone has any suggestions? I have no idea how I would cut off the rails I'm talking about, and I'd rather not drill 8 holes if I don't have to, but right now that seems like my best option.
  25. WHile I have finally gotten around to overclocking my cpu and gpu with great results, I feel the CPU block I have might not be used to its full potential. Course this could be me being too worried about a few degrees. How ever my test had very very differing temps when I was using aida 64. It was all over the place and never really got me a good average number. So is it my block not having a good mounting, or maybe its time for a new block?
