  1. Hi Guys! recently i cleaned up my whole system, including the Radiator of my 240mm aio watercooling kit. When i cleaned the radiator, i recognized a strange noise my pump made after installing the radiator back in after cleaning. It sounds like there is a little bit of water missing, overall it makes a "flushing" noise. Also im a little bit afraid because of the mixed metals that are used in this kit. The CPU block is made out of copper, but the radiator is made of aluminum, which can cause some type of corrision (?). Im using the Magicool 240mm AIO kit, which works fine for me and handles the temperatures of my overclocked i7 4770k under load at 60°C. So these are my questions, and maybe if Linus Media Group is interested, a suggestion for a Video: Is it possible to refill an AIO Watercooling system? There are some Videos on YouTube, but not that many. I would like to have a professional making up his opinion when it comes to refilling those, because disassembling will void my warranty. But im also interested in your opinions guys! Let me know what you think about it! Cheers!
  2. I'm completely new to watercooling and want to go in with an AIO to get things started. I'm planning on getting the Cougar Panzer case to upgrade from my current one, and would like to know my options regarding placing an AIO in the front. I know what sizes the case supports, and would be looking at either 240mm or 360mm, so I want to know specifically what AIO's are available to me. My budget is ~£60-120, can bump up a bit if it's worth it. I'm planning on a light/moderate overclock on an i7 8700k, as I get off on low temps with good performance, so I would need some better performance than I currently have. Also, since I've never seen an AIO in my life before, how do I go about connecting it to my system? I've seen AIO's with 3+ fans, but that's about how many fan headers my mobo has total - what would I need to power these if I want control over the speeds? And, if my budget is unreasonable, please let me know. TL;DR: Looking for 240mm or 360mm AIO with £60-120 budget for a socket 1151 processor.
  3. I need to upgrade my cpu cooler and I'm torn between the Arctic Liquid Freezer 240 and the Deepcool Captain 240EX. I've heard the Artic cooler does a really good job at keeping temperatures down and that the Deepcool pump is really silent. Also these are both in my price range. Can you guys just sum up the benefits and disadvantages of each and help me make a decision?
  4. Hi guys, Question question, I'm sure I'm being silly here but I would like some reassurance. From the photos attached you can see my current setup with the Corsair H80i V2. The tubes are fairly bent and I'm concerned about the bend at the interface between the radiator and the start of the tubing. Will the orientation I have the AIO in currently will that put pressure on those connections over time and potentially lead to a leak? I'm considering keeping this for a couple years and then moving over to the more reliable air cooler, thoughts? Thanks.
  5. Corsair H60 vs H100i v2

So, I'm looking into getting a new cooler. I'm thinking about either the H60 or the H100i V2 unless anyone can point me to a better deal. I want something that performs well enough to overclock and looks good in my case. I really don't want to spend more than the $110 of the H100i, but I will go up to $120 if someone can find me a triple fan radiator AIO. I want to go with AIO liquid coolers mainly for looks. My Ryzen 3 1300x at idle sits around 35-40°C. Here my specs. Ryzen 3 1300x MSI B350 Gaming Plus 8GB ddr4 2400mhz ASUS DUAL GTX 1050TI 4gb Corsair Cx550m Thermaltake Core P3 Snow case I would love to find a triple radiator, but they seem to be out of my price range. Any tips help. Thanks!!
  6. Hi, I have a i7 5960x in my system with a gtx 1080 ti. I have both of them under liquid cooling with AIO coolers. I'm considering a switch to open loop from the current AIO setup I have. The reason for this is because the CPU gets very hot when I OC it. I'm getting temps of 90-95c which wasn't the case when I first installed the AIO. I'm not doing any extreme OC either, it's 4.4Ghz @ 1.22v. When I first installed the cooler my temps were around 65c at max. I had the same issue with this cooler before and had to RMA it. It seems whatever they put inside of those coolers starts to fail after a month or two. I'm sick and tired of doing an RMA. I haven't had any problems with the gpu cooler and both coolers are from the same company. I can't figure out what's causing the cpu cooler to degrade so quickly, but I'm tired of it and want to make the switch. My concern is that if I switch I'll have the same problem, but with more maintenance involved for open loop setup. I've reached out to the guys at EKWB and they helped get a configuration going. I'm going to use 1x 360 and 1x 240 rad for the loop instead of 2x 360's like in the picture. Would this radiator setup be enough to run my system silently and keep it cool during load? What is the importance of reservoir size? Does it impact how often the water needs to be changed? I'm concerned about mixing metals since I'm a nooby. I would be happy to use an all Aluminium set if I could find one. Would I still have to worry about the same problems if I didn't use mixed metals? What impact does tubing size and thickness have on performance? Also, I think the pump I picked is a bit overkill. I picked the pump with the best max flow specs. I assuming it can move the liquid faster through the loop resulting in better cooling or am I wrong here? Would appreciate any other nooby advise you guys can offer, thanks.
  7. Do you guys think that a Micro-ATX or Mini-ITX Build or an All-in-One is a better space saver?
  8. Hey guys before i start here is the build I am planning. Processor: i7-8700k Graphics Card: Asus Strix gtx 1080ti OC edition Motherboard: Asus ROG MAXIMUS X FORMULA RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4-3200Mhz 32GB Storage: Samsung 960 pro evo 500gb m.2 nvme ssd + 4tb barracuda hdd + 500 gb samsung regular ssd PSU: Corsair hx850i Case: Corsair Crystal 570x Now to the topic at hand. I am hoping to overclock my i7-8700k chip to 5.0 Ghz. I am going to be using AIO watercooling with a push pull configuration, my question is mostly about choice. The case would be running 3 intake, 3 exhaust fans. Aesthetics wise my favorite cooler is the NZXT Kraken X52 240mm AIO. But I am not sure if I should be able to attain a 5.0 Ghz overclock. In any and all situations I would replace the provided thermal paste with higher quality market ones such as the arctic silver. My questions are therefore as follows: 1) Do you think a 240mm radiator would be sufficient in push-pull or do i need a 360mm one? 2) If i do indeed need a 360mm radiator, what would be your recommendation? Despite wanting very high performance I do care about the aesthetics of the build and therefore am against using thermaltakes disgusting looking 360mm AIO due the the heatsink cover. 3) Disregarding questions 1 and 2, to attain such an overclock is delidding the processor necessary? 4) any other recommendations or words of advice you can give me concerning the matter?
  9. Introduction DAN Cases is back and this is our next tribute to the SFF community. I am proud to introduce you the C4-SFX. The name comes from the German envelope norm for A4 papers and the possibility to mount a SFX power supply inside. With this new product I like to address three disadvantages of the A4-SFX – limited cooling, limited front I/O ports, long production time and price tag. With the C4-SFX I like to expanse my product portfolio so it will be available next to the A4-SFX. The result is a 9.5L SFF gaming case with the possibility to use with high-end standardized components while keep them cool and quiet. How it works The new design used a sandwich based hardware layout and offers space for full-size graphics cards, mITX motherboard and SFX power supply. Instead of mounting a flexible riser cable the new design comes with a hard riser. Therefore the graphics card will be above the motherboard. To provide enough air for the CPU heatsink the case has two mount points for 120mm fan in the “bottom” area. In this area it is possible to mount a 240mm AIO. The fans sucking air from the inside and push hot airt out on the bottom side. Fresh air comes in through the topside. This creates a continuous airflow in the inside between the components. The case allows for easy mounting of either SFX or SFX-L power supplies. The PSU is located in the front of the chassis. Depending on the size of the PSU, up to two 2.5” HDDs or SSDs can be mounted in the drive bay. This drive bay could potentially be mounted with rubber spacers to reduce vibration. A third drive can be mounted behind the front cover. To increase the count of accessible front I/O ports, it features USB3.0 Type-C, USB3.0-Type-A, Line-Out and Microphone jacks. Just Flip it It is possible to flip the case 180°. Rotate the front, mount the case feets on the opposit side and flip the side cover. Now the fan area is on the top side. The allows for switching the front I/O from the right to left side. Specification Case Dimensions (H x W x D): 242 x 127,5 x 323,6mm, 9.9L Overall Dimensions: 247 x 127,5 x 323,6mm (including case feets) Weight: ??? 10. Hi, I'm planning to get an NZXT Kraken x62 and wanted to mount it at the top of my case for esthetic purposes (personal preference) and temperature considerations (I have a blower style gpu and I don't want the hot cpu air to be blown into the gpu intake, it runs hot enough already.) I'm wondering if you can mount a radiator at the top of a Phanteks p400 case, or if the front is the only option. I think mounting itself would'nt be a problem, rather the radiator + fans running into my RAM. I checked the specs and it only mentions front radiator support so I'm not very hopeful, but if you've done this and it's possible, please let me know! Thanks. (Picture for clarification)

  12. AIO for 8700k

Recommend a good AIO cooler for 8700k build. I was considering NZXT Kraken but some of the reviews are not good. A subtle RGB ring on the CPU bracket is preferred.
  13. I bought 2 Thermaltake Riing last year. They does the job fine to keep my cpu temp down. But I noticed recently than one of them stop spinning from time to time than come back to life. The led stay on all the time no problem... Ive got an Asus Maximus VIII, I use the Pump header for the pumb, cpu fan for one of them and cpu OPT for the other one. The CPU OPT is the one that is causing issue. ALL FANS ARE PLUGGED CORECTLY Anyone have a suggestion.

  16. Can I replace the stock fans on the nzxt kraken x62 rev 2 with these? https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Wqx9TW/thermaltake-riing-plus-14-rgb-tt-premium-edition-5-fan-pack-632-cfm-140mm-fans-cl-f057-pl14sw-a
  17. Hi guys. So i recently ordered the cryorig a40 aio, to use in the phanteks p400s tg case, and i realize that the VRM cooler on my motherboard will be in the way of mounting the radiator in the top. This leaves only front mounting or wizardry. How bad is it to mount a radiator at the intake? Will it get my graphics card way hotter? Also, anyone have an idea to mount it in the top anyway? I was thinking of trying to mount it at an angle, to avoid the vrm cooler. Motherboard: Asus prime b350 plus.
  18. Can this aio cooler fit https://pcpartpicker.com/product/CVJkcf/thermaltake-floe-riing-rgb-360-tt-premium-edition-423-cfm-liquid-cpu-cooler-cl-w158-pl12sw-a in the be quiet dark base 900
  19. Hello everybody! I am pretty new to doing any sort of modifications to computers although I have a general understanding of them. That being said, I am in search of some information regarding the use and compatibility of an eGPU for my Lenovo Ideacentre 510 23ASR. 8 GB RAM, 1TB HD, AMD 12-9700P processor. Like most are aware with all in ones or laptops, my graphics are integrated and its nothing special, AMD Radeon R7. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to whether or not I am able to use an eGPU with this specific model of computer and which one would be the best, or has anyone here used an eGPU for an AIO??? I am fully aware that I can build a gaming computer, so please don't bother mentioning it. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!
  20. Im looking at getting the Rosewill RSV-L4000 and I seem to find mixed results on rad support. Can I mount a 360mm radiator? If I can without modding, will it have room for push pull? Also any recommendations on 80mm replacements for back fans, Noise not that concerning (My hearing is terrible and Im probably shoving in a closet)
  21. Hello! I came again for some advice. I just upgraded my build (r5 1600 OC to 3.9ghz and gtx 1080 g1 gaming) from stock cooling to a 240mm AIO (the masterliquid lite) and I'm having trouble on where (and how) to put the rest of my fans since the radiator can be only mounted on the front of the case (corsair spec alpha). So I have the radiator with two fans as an intake. I have two white led 120mm fans mounted on top as exhaust and one black 120mm fan as rear exhaust (all stock case fans). I have only one more fan slot on the bottom of the case next to the psu and it has a dust filter. Is not possible to mount a fan over or below the radiator at the front, there is just not enough space. My temps are ok but the case does feel quite warm when I touch the sides due to the lack of fresh air coming in, so I don't know if I should take one of the 3 fans and place it at the bottom as an intake and if I do I don't know if I should use the rear one or one of the two placed at the top or if I just buy a new fan and place at the bottom or change the fan config completely or just leave it. I'm not buying a new case. I left some pictures of the pc hoping that it will help to make my explanation a little bit clearer (don't mind the cables, I will fix them after I decided what to do with the fans) WARNING: my phone's camera is crap
  22. I'm thinking about getting the DeepCool MAELSTROM 240T aio cooler for my i7 6700k, it's the only 240 air I can find in my price range and I was wondering if anyone has built with it or knows anything helpful.
  23. Compatable or not?

Dear computer-building geniuses, Will my Asus Rog Strix 1080ti fit in my NZXT s340 elite? Will it still fit if i decide to mount my Nzxt x62 radiator with Push-pull configuration on the front (as in 2 fans pulling, then radiator, then 2 pushing towards mobo)? Will my EVGA SuperNOVA 850 g3 fit in the NZXT s340? Does my PSU have an eight-pin cpu power connector? What the TDP for the i7 8700k? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fgftPs
  24. My Be Quiet! Silent Loop 120mm AIO has been making a very concerning noise. About once a week, sometimes once every 2 weeks, i hear this VERY loud buzzing/whirring noise coming from my AIO. The fans aren't jamming up, and when I give the top of my case a good thump it stops, followed by the faint sound of rushing water. What could be wrong? Is the pump jamming up?
  25. Over the next few months I'll be migrating my gear to rack mounts (yes I'm pulling a Linus and shoving it in a closet full of jeans*cough*). I don't want a fan boy war, I'd prefer an AIO, but I could go custom water, I just want to know, What would be better for temps and overclocking, air or water. Side notes Getting a 4U chassis. And if I go air I'll probably get all noctua. Current is Xeon x5690 with a 120mm AIO. GPU will be upgraded at some point, might attach to loop hence 360. Also apologies if wrong section.
