I thought that the no flex or bend bracket should have improved temperatures? Mine did absolutley nothing, 2c better at max. Is there anything i could have done wrong? I removed the stock intel mounting bracket and screwed in the new aftermarket one.

Before you post saying that the card is a fake here's a picture of the branded chip (zoom in). Hello everyone, I got this card for free from a buddy that does warranty for prebuilt pcs. He doesn't know from what specific prebuilt this is but there's a reddit post mentioning this card and a comment about it ( 1 ; 2 ) there's also an old ebay page for it ( 1 ) The GPU itself is working great but the temperatures are a bit too hot (even after changing the thermal paste). I'd like to get a third party GPU cooler but I'm not sure what would fit... I've seen people suggesting the Accelero III, NZXT G12 (which might need some modding), the MORPHEUS II or the id Cooling 120mm vga cooler for other blower style 2070's but no one seems sure if they fit or not. The problem that I see is the DVI shroud and that usually doesn't allow a good fit. Here's some pictures of the board when I changed it's thermal paste today ( 1 ) Hope you guys can help me since on reddit everyone just calls it fake and what not. I can also post a Userbench page to prove that it's working as expected and it's not a spoofed card. Thanks! PS: Maybe a video about these weird custom brand made prebuilt cards would be something interesting? PPS: I live in Canada

Hey guys, I just wanted to know if it would be better to get a Founder's Edition GTX 1080 or an aftermarket (maybe EVGA) cooler for my Fractal Design Define R4. I have the windowed version and I only still have the 2 case fans that came with the case. I also would like to point out that while it has only happened a single time in the past 3ish years that I've had this computer, I HAVE gotten a BSOD once from my CPU overheating. Granted, this was on a hot day and I was gaming for quite awhile, I do believe my open air GTX 970 definitely added to the BSOD. As for some additional quick info, the reason I want a 1080 now over my current 970 is because I have a 144Hz monitor and most current games I play don't even come close to hitting 144 FPS so i don't feel like I'm getting a ton of use out of a 200+ dollar monitor that I paid for, that and the GTX 1080 recently went down in price because the 1080 Ti came out.

Hi there all I have a question to ask I bought a second hand case that is in great condition, the previous owner told me that the only missing part is the front 360mm Dust filter. Since there is already a bezel covering the entire front of the case there's not a lot of dust that gets in there. However since I am planning on getting an AIO and considering putting the radiator either on top or in the front I would like to know if I should bother with buying an aftermarket dust filter. There are 3 currently on Amazon but I don't really know the difference between them. I added the links below Thanks for helping out https://www.amazon.com/DEMCiflex-Filter-Alphacool-Radiator-360mm/dp/B01IABYCGS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1494509364&sr=8-1&keywords=360mm+dust+filter https://www.amazon.com/DEMCiflex-Filter-Alphacool-Radiator-360mm/dp/B01IABYG0K/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1494509364&sr=8-2&keywords=360mm+dust+filter https://www.amazon.com/DEMCiflex-Filter-Alphacool-Radiator-360mm/dp/B01IABY8KI/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1494509364&sr=8-3&keywords=360mm+dust+filter

What is the best (best here meaning most efficient) Aftermarket CPU cooler on the market that is 58mm or smaller in total height? In a current setup of mine I have an Intel core i5 3330 in a Silverstone ML08-H slimline case with the Intel stock cooler. My problem is that the Intel stock cooler blows air downwards towards the heat sink/CPU but because of the orientation of my case and motherboard, the air basically just sits on the heat sink, trapped between the case edge, RAM, and power supply. My CPU is running pretty warm at idle and i have attributed that to this design flaw because in a previous build with the same CPU and stock cooler it ran much cooler. I've tried attaching extra fans to the case with zip ties (because the ML08-H does not have case fans) but that just made it sound like a lawn mower. I believe that If i get an aftermarket cooler, i could reverse the airflow direction by simply turning the fan over, sucking heat away from the heat sink and out of the case rather than blowing room temperature air onto it which would sit there and heat up. So back to the original question, what would be the most efficient cooler for the job. so far I've looked at this, but honestly I don't know what to be looking for other than detachable fan(s). thanks.

I am building a pc for 4k gaming. My case is Corsair Graphite 780t full tower. I am really confused which Gtx 1080 to buy. I see linus and all other channels use Founder's Edition cards. I really like the look of Founder's edition (a.k.a. Reference cards) but i know that they work way hotter and with less fps while gaming than aftermarket cards. Do you think buying Founders Edition card will be stupid act? What other downsides or upsides of FE cards are? How much performance gap are there between aftermarket and FE cards? My other option is Asus Strix. Can i put sli bridge between different cards? ( like asus strix and founders edition )

Hey, should I get a aftermarket cooler? I don't plan to ever OC, my current motherboard doesn't even support it. Also it would leave my very little budget headroom, but its still worth asking

So my glorious rig is about to be bought in a couple days and I was wondering what would be some cheap/best kind of aftermarket RGB kit/or even strips to buy for the inside of my rig. I'm using an NX3T S340, and here's the rest of the build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wCbX6X As for case fans, i'm not sure how many to get/whether to go with mounting the radiator to the top, or the front. Suggestions for aftermarket case fans(which, and how many) best thermals? (below 75c at huge load)

Hi guys, I am currently living in the UK and i'm currently with Sky Broadband using old ADSL broadband. Due to poor connection and slower speeds we decided that we needed to replace the router. So I recently bought a new router (TP-Link Archer D50) but after plugging the thing in, it hasn't worked. I know that you need to configure it with the same username and password as the original router, but I have either been unable to find the correct information for it, or i'm inputting it wrong. I tried to find the password using Wireshark, but i couldn't find it in the Order 61 threads. I tried plugging the info from a calculator into the router, but it isn't allowing me to connect to the internet still. The TP-Link settings service keeps telling me to manually set the DNS server, but i've tried everything and it hasn't worked.I know that Sky Broadband are a pain when it comes to using your own hardware but we really need the router to be changed. If anyone has any experience replacing the Sky Netgear V2 router, I would appreciate any help you can give me!

Just out of curiosity, would it be possible to take a founders edition card like for example the 1070 and place an aftermarket cooler that shares the reference PCB? Something like the EVGA SC cooler which has the same PCB as the founders.

for some reason i think my gtx 1070 aero oc edition gets way to hot it runs past 80 sometimes past 90 with just +150/350 and even at stock clocks it runs 80 and at 80 degrees the pcb is freaking hot! im thinking ima have to water cool it if ima want it to last and definately if ima wanna overclock it any my aio cpu never runs past 50 c at full loads... maybe im doing something wrong but idk see how cause at stock everything it still seems heated up but idk how to use the curve overclocking which i heard works better for pascal 10 series cards anyways what im here to ask is how do i go about water cooling my blower fan card... had i knew better id got a water cooled one to start with but i cant return my card or just say to heck with it and fork out 500 for a diff card.. im trying to just do a simple aio liquid cooling like my cpu has but the few i seen dont look like it cools the pcb any and thats something i want temps lower on also cause like i said it gets so hot i dont think it would last long

Hi guys, so after a recent rebuild into a swanky new case all I had lying around was a tube of DeepCool z3. Something I bought a while back but had used the stock compound provided with my Nepton 240M all in one instead. Stock compound was pretty good, I was getting between 18-23 degrees on idle which I was super impressed with. Anyway so rebuilt, new compound and we are sitting on between 30-34, not terrible but that's with my overclock pulled right back. Basically I want to get something crazy, price per gram I'm not phased on as long as it's not like $50 a tube because NOPE! What's the best?

I bought an old xfx rs rx 480 4gb about a month ago, and its great, dont get med wrong, but it runs a bit hot and its loud. And yes, ive already replaced the paste and that did bring the temperature down around 2-8c, but its still loud. So the past 2 weeks ive been looking for aftermarket coolers that will fit and that isnt expensive but ive failed, since the only aftermarket cooler ive found is the Artic accelero or something like that but i dont like how they look. Ive also been thinkin about getting a kraken 12 and a H55 water cooler, but that will cost me around 100$ and i dont have that kind of money. Do anyone know about an good quiet cooler that isnt expensive? EDIT: And most of the Arctic coolers seem to be extremly hard to install, with the backplate heatsink and all. And if i happen to get that, what do i need other than thermal paste? any thermal pads or stuff like that? EDIT 2: Or could i just remove the plastic shroud ontop of the OG heatsink and then slap on some case fans. How much diffrence will that be?

Hello! I got a reference GTX 1080ti card from ASUS, and generally happy about it, but i have read that the stock cooler isnt really all that good, so i was wondering if anyone have tried to cool the card with an aftermarket cooler? I was thinking about slapping a big CPU cooler unto it, either air or water, and 3D printing the piece that holds it all together, but maybe there is a product somewhere that already does so, i didnt find anything relatively cheap while googling it though. But is it really necessary? I am not sure the power delivery will be able to boost the card all that much, even if the temps got under control, due to it being a reference card. Anyone got some experience to share?

Hello, ive had my master box 5 lite for almost a year now i run a 2600 oc'd and a 1660ti and cooling isn't what id like it to be especially since ive been thinking of picking up a used 1080/1080 ti maybe a 2080 if i feel the need for speed lol, i know i wont have the cooling capacity i need upgrading to the better gpu and also going to be going to an aio to hopefully push my cpu to 4.2-4.3Ghz mark if possible. if anyone one knows of any solution other than the MB500 replacement or doing custom work please let me know it would be super helpful otherwise imma have to spend the cash i want to put tward a 2080 into a new case. Hello people. I was wondering if any user of a Gigabyte Rtx 2060 Gpu has been able to find an aftermarket air cooling solution for this card as it does not seem to be compatibñe with ani of the Arctic Cooling accelero Heatsink and Fan combo, nor with the Rajintech MORPHEUS Heatsink... Has anyone found an alternate to the stock fan/heatsink? Any help will be much appreciated. Best regards. Mike.

Hello, I want to build a PC in March and i'm not sure if Nvidias RTX 2070 Super with it's clean design is better/worse than an aftermarket 2070 Super. To be exact I'm looking at the ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER Advanced for 615€ (- 50€ cashback) vs the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER (539€, no promotion?)

Will going aftermarket on a gpu cooler be beneficial? I have the 1070 g1 by Gigabyte and the 3 turbines are to loud for my liking. So without a ghetto cpu cooler on it what are my options? er are there any good options?

So as all of you may know rx 480's in general get pretty toasty when gaming, so i'm thinking of buying an aftermarket cooler. The ones that i have in mind are the arctic accelero twin turbo III and the accelero xtreme IV. I'm just worried about the compatibility of the pcb with the cooler because in the page they say it's compatible with amd rx 480 but they don't specify if it's only for the stock pcb or rx 480's in general

Like the title suggest I am curious about what aftermarket CPU coolers you can cram into the asrock deskmini GTX. I recently got my hands on a gtx 1060 6gb z370 version of these. Since the case and motherboard layout of the system is catering towards the stock heatsink delivered by intel, there's no access to the back of the motherboard and the case is rather small so options are obviously limited. I have been looking around for some small form factor cpu coolers that might fit this little badboy, but I've had little luck in finding any information, thus I'm trying my luck here. Basically looking for anything that might fit. I'm pairing the system with a i5 8400 with no intent of upgrading to an unlocked processor. mainly looking for a more efficient and quieter cooling solution. If anyone on this forum have experience building a system in one of these barebone pint-sized crates I would appreciate any information or insight on your experience with it.

So in my infinite wisdom I may have broke a aftermarket car radio. Here's the setup, 2005 Chrysler 300 stock harness correctly adapted to aftermarket radio through an adapter harness thing most aftermarket radios use, however for my red wire 12V constant that activates on ignition, I tapped in a wire for the 12V plug/cigarette lighter (what is even the proper term these days?) Because the stock 12v constant was not strong enough to turn on the radio (common issue with chrylser, Chevy, and jeeps I read) Worked fine besides some other unrelated issues. I took a multimeter and touched a red probe to a metal prong (one at 9 o'clock position of plug) in the 12v power plug and it sparked and the radio shut off and now won't turn back on. Rest of car electrical system fine. I will inspect it later , but is this just a blown fuse on the radio or did I kill the radio, and if someone could explain the electrical mistake I made and what I made happen so I learn from my mistake , that would be great. @iamdarkyoshi @CUDAcores89 (you guys seems to be good with this stuff if you got any input please chime in, much appreciated) Also my amp wasn't turning on does anyone know how I can help a multimeter not like a moron in order to test if it's receiving power from the 12V (from battery directly), how to check if my remote on cable is working (sends signal when car radio is turned on telling amp to power on), and also how to check if my ground for the amp is working.
