Hi! I hope you guys are doing fine. This is my first post here on reddit, and I have a question regarding why my monitor turns black and freezes suddenly when I am using Premiere pro or After effects. I can say that I do some intermediate stuff in Premiere pro and After Effects. I also have some plugins when using these applications. I already tried/did these things below: -added more ram from 16gb to 32gb -replaced the stock cpu fans with a thermalright dual tower -reseated the gpu (1660 super) I used DDU a couple of times already and made sure that I was using the 1660 super and not the integrated graphics( AMD ryzen 5 5600g) -replaced the psu from msi550 to corsair cx750 took everything apart except the ram and cpu. -used DDU one more time and replaced the driver from game-ready to studio-ready. I tried benchmarking it using UniEngine heaven and ran it to extremes. screen didn't turn black or freeze. I am now lost or don't know what to ask google anymore since I almost tried everything a simple gamer could do. I also tried re-installing windows 10 at one point just to clear some stuff up. Can someone enlighten me as to why this is happening? pc specs: cpu: Ryzen 5 5600g (1 year and 4 months already repasted) mobo: msi B550M pro-vdh wifi am4 gpu: gtx 1660 super (7 months ago, bought it from a local shop, not sure if it was new because the cover seal is already open when i took a look at it and the seller said it was good as new and had new thermal pads and paste; it was running fine for the past 5 months, then the remaining 2 started experiencing the black screen and freezes.) PS: Corsair cx750 ram: Kingston fury 3200mhz 4sticks 32gb 8each Is storage important? 1 kingston nvme 256 GB (half full), 1ssd kingston 500gb as well and 1 hdd 2 TBWD green 8 fans and a secure ups 650va automatic Any other stuff I do is fine, like playing heavy-intensive games like RDR2, GTA V, and Dark Souls, and some fps games and RPGs are also fine. Premiere pro and After Effects are the main culprits. They're pirated though, but it didn't happen before just recently, 2 months ago, i think, when I started doing more graphic-intensive stuff in Pr and Ae. please help. Thankyou!

Need suggestions and input for using GALAX Geforce GTX 1650 4GB DDR6 EX PLUS (1-Click OC) - DUAL FAN. Maybe someone has used it. I want to upgrade the GPU from amd AsRock Phantom Gaming Radeon RX560 4gb 128BIT DDR5 to GALAX GTX 1650. PC usage for video editing Adobe premiere pro, After Effects, and photos with Photoshop- Illustrator, and 3D modeling & animation with Blender & middle spec gaming. How is the performance of the GALAX GTX 1650 for this usage? Any thoughts?

Hi! 12gb rtx 3060 or 8gb 3060ti - which one should I buy for video editing work? I will be using adobe premiere pro, after effects and davinci resolve. Which card will serve me for long time? I'm planning to use it for 4 years at least. How about RX 6700xt? Would that be a good option as well? Both rtx cards are available in my country and within my budget. The Amd card is a bit expensive.

Hi! I recently got a new PC for rendering with 64gb of RAM, an RTX 3070 and a ryzen9 5900x. I also have a 1tb nvme m.2 ssd specifically for the cache and my project files. I'm really happy with the PC, but I'm confused - rendering any big Projects (with after effects) still takes a long time, but the pc isn't even using 50% of the power it actually has! is this normal or can I get some more performance? thanks in advance Picture: Utilisation of my HArdware while after effects is rendering quite slowly

Budget (including currency): £3000 (Pound Sterling) Country: United Kingdom Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Premiere Pro, After Effects, 3D animation software? Other details Need a workstation laptop (needs to be portable) recommendation for my girlfriend who animates for her uni degree and uses Premiere Pro and After Effects, I have my own PC for gaming but I am unsure what to recommend to her when it comes to laptops (are all laptop graphics cards MaxQ or are some fully fledged GPUs?) and also don't have a clue about workstation graphics cards (e.g quadro's). No existing part list only the recommended specs from Premiere Pro which I've attached below and linked here: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/system-requirements.html No peripherals needed, already got a Wacom drawing tablet 13inch screen The laptop she's upgrading from is a Lenovo Thinkpad P51 (Quadro M2200, i7 7820HQ, 16GB ram, 1080p 15.6" FHD (no touch screen) display) Link below has full specs listed https://www.lenovo.com/gb/en/laptops/thinkpad/p-series/ThinkPad-P51/p/22TP2WPWP51?cid=gb:sem|se|google|G-UK-SEM-CONSCOM-PUBLIC-CCF-MF-Search-DSA-NonBrand-Laptops|LaptopsNonBrandDSAs&gclid=Cj0KCQjwg7KJBhDyARIsAHrAXaGj5HJLql7Xtbm_2BeaHA3ZNHw362Rm9BGaWeQRLd7RQ0XgtAxPGeIaAqnrEALw_wcB Thinking about upgrading within the next 2 weeks She's working with colour so she needs a good display for that (another thing I'm not completely sure about, colour accuracy?). Refresh rate144Hz would be nice, want to make it as future proof as possible because she mainly does 2D animation but sometimes does 3D Any help with this will be appreciated, thank you!

Budget (including currency): $2,500 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Video Editing: Premiere Pro, After Effects - Gaming: Rocket League, Call of Duty, OBS, Elgato Other details: Upgrading from a 2017 Macbook Pro and the OG PS4 so anything is a step up for me lol. I edit 4k video content and create graphics and graphic animations for my job. I'd love to bring my gaming over to PC and play more games than I have on my PS4. I'm interested in buying in the next several months but there is no hard date. I don't have a keyboard or mouse. I currently have a HP Pavilion 32 QHD monitor that I use mainly for the sake of screen real-estate so I'm not opposed to selling this and getting something that would work better for gaming because it only has a 60 Hz refresh rate.

Hi everyone. I have a problem while trying to render something in Adobe After Effects CS6. It renders about half the project, then it displays this error : " After Effects error: internal verification failure, sorry! {could not find itemframe we just now checked in} ". What seems to be the problem? Thanks in advance.

Hello, I'm wondering which GPU buy for programs AfterEffects and Premiere from Adobe. I want to buy RX 480 or GTX 1060 or maybe i could go for GTX 1070, but it cost too much I think. I think that big GPU memory is good to have (RX 480), but there is another fact, that NVIDIA have CUDA and AMD OpenCL(?), which is supported more from this programs? Thank you

https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Steven-Porter/saved/nxtnnQ Hello, I'm planning to build a new video editing machine within a $2500 USD budget capable of smoothly handling 4K footage in Premiere, Resolve, and After Effects. PCPP says everything is good, but I'm curious if anyone more experienced than I can spot any potential bottlenecks or parts that won't be used to their full capacity. I'll be building a custom wall mount case in my company colors (white, blue, green) and getting custom cablemod cables to match. I attached an image with 2 sketches of potential layouts. The gray parts are IO/PCI connectors and everything is perfectly to scale, and the red rectangle on the motherboard is the display, which I'd rather not cover with PCI extensions for the graphics card. If anyone has tips on how to run the extension without covering that, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks in advance.

I recently came accross this app which claims to use all the CPU cores to render After Effects files. Is anyone use it or have any alternatives for it. https://www.mekajiki.com/rendergarden/ The claims on the website is pretty solid.

Hello! I have a weird issue. I currently have four editors editing 4k dnxhr hqx material of a Synology 1817+ NAS with four 4TB wd Reds and four 8TB ironwolfes all in a single volume with SHR2 (Same as RAID6) parity. The NAS has 8GB of RAM. I get 800MBps reads and 300MBps reads on the array from a editingcomputer, and all computers are on a 10Gb network. I have constant instability. Adobe programs crashing left and right, work is lost and people are mad. In the beginning, I thought speeds on the array was the culprit, but the thing is - its not doing very much 10Mbps reads/writes per user. I cannot wrap my head around what is going on! Adobe Project files are on the NAS, if that makes a difference I hope you can give me a point in the right direction

Hello everyone! I ponied up the money for a good editing rig, Panasonic G7 Mirror less camera, a Rode Video Mic, and a nice mic for voice over/Twitch streaming. I have all the hardware I need to make the high quality videos I want on YouTube. Adobe Creative Cloud is what I am trying to learn. I know the basics for video editing in Premiere pro and using Audition for audio. I have never used After effects. Does anyone know if Lynda.com is actually worth it like LMG says in their sponsor spots? Or does anyone know of a better place to go for high quality editing/VFX tutorials? I am willing to spend up to 30 bucks a month for a subscription. Thank you for reading and for any possible replies!

I want an alternative to Adobe After Effects that is recently updated and has decent documentation. I can't afford the Creative Suite/Cloud and no matter how much I want it, I am not going to pirate it. Pirating software just makes me feel incomplete for some reason. I was once suggested Blender, but I don't know that Blender can do what I want it to. I want something that I can use to create videos like this (Pony-related. If you hate MLP or whatever, don't click I guess.):

Hello everyone! I'm planning on upgrading my workstation for the following applications. I'm a freelance 3D artist specializing in 3D sculpting so I spend a good deal of time in Zbrush, Maya, Photoshop, Mari and Octane ( for all my rendering ). I also do a fair bit of motion graphics work in After-Effects and video editing in Premiere. I also have 3x somewhat old and miss matched 1920/1080 monitors, however, I'm hoping to upgrade to a primary 4k IPS display soon. My budget is around 3,000 USD I don't plan on doing any manual overclocking. I shopped for this build on Newegg as I have had many good experiences with them in the past. Here is what I have so far... CPU - Intel Core i7-5820K CPU heat sink - be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 Silentwings [ Might be a bit overkill for not overclocking but I run my workstation fairly hard so I wanted a nice heatsink. I also like what Linus did in the silent build guild, I'm not necessary going for an ultra silent rig but it would be nice to have things be a little less noisy. Maybe I could get away with removing the outermost fan? ] MB - ASUS X99-A/USB 3.1 __ or __ MSI X99A SLI KRAIT EDITION USB 3.1 [ I'm having a bit of difficulty deciding on which board I should get. I like the idea of having USB 3.1 if there is another board that I'm overlooking that has better comparability with the rest of my build and higher reliability I'm willing to walk away on the USB 3.1 ] RAM - CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 64GB (8 x 8GB) 2133 _ or _ 2400 ( Right now these are stupid expensive, about double from the lst time I looked at it, but I think that's just because it's out of stock on Newegg ) [ Again not really sure which one is the right choice here, I don’t plan on doing any overclocking, but they are close to the same price. ] GPU - 1X GIGABYTE GV-N98TG1 GAMING-6GD GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB [ I will be adding a second card once I can afford it, the main reason for this is that Octane and Mari use a lot of GRAM ] SSD - Intel 750 Series SSDPEDMW400G4R5 HHHL (CEM2.0) 400GB PCIe NVMe 3.0 x4 MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) _ or _ SAMSUNG 850 PRO MZ-7KE512BW 2.5" 512GB SATA III 3-D Vertical Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) [ OK so this is the one part of this build, besides the motherboard, that I have gone back and forth on the most. At this pint, I really don't know whether or not the PCIe SSD will grant any significant performance improvements over a traditional SATA 3 SSD for my work. And if it's not I really don’t want to take up any PCIe lanes given that the i7-5820 only has 28 and I want to run 2X GTX 980 Tis. ] HDD storage drive - Western Digital Blue WD6400AAKS 640GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive Case - Phanteks Phanteks Enthoo Series Primo PSU - CORSAIR RM Series RM1000 1000W UPS - APC BR1500G Back-UPS Pro 1500VA 10-outlet Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) [ This has become more important recently because apparently Thor and Zeus are having some sort of grudge match over most of NY State this summer leading to frequent strong electrical storms... ] OS - Microsoft Windows 10 Professional - Full Version (Download) I think that just about covers the build so far... I really appreciate any advice you guys might have on this. I have been really out of date with what's been going on in the realm of hardware for quite some time and things have changed a good deal since my last build about six years ago. Also, because this is my fist post on the forums, I wanted say how much I have enjoyed watching the LinusTechTips YouTube channel, it brings back memories of watching shows like The Screen Savers on ZD/Tech TV when I was younger. Hi there friends, I'm building a workstation for Adobe AE as main purpose, Budget is INR 1,20,000 (2000$), Since hardware price differ alot here in India i also include the price also Specs: -PSU- crossair RM750 W-------------------------------9.2K -motherboard- msi z97 Mpower-------------------------18K -processor- i7 4790K------------------------------------23K -cooler- crossair H100i------------------------------------8.5K -Ram 16gb 1600------------------------------------------14K -graphics- gtx 770----------------------------------------28K -hard- seagate barracuda disk 1 tb-------------------3.5K -SSD- trancend 256 gb-----------------------------------10K TOTAL: INR 1,15,000 (1800$) I have seen a you tube video from linustech with 2000$ budget but way more hardware than the specs above i went for gtx 770 because it has a better price for value than the quadro 2000 with a better performance when it comes to cuda cores. SO, How is this build?, keep in mind that this is mainly gonna be my personal rig to experiment and practice AE? Please help me because i'm gonna spend all my money on this rig and don't want to waste money on hardware which is not necessary. Cheers. Reagards Richard Sequeira
