Hello, I have a PC that recently decided that it needs to reboot spontaneously. I've used this PC for the past 6 months or so with little to no issues, but this morning the issue started to happen consistently every time I try to do anything on it. I've reset the computer and made sure that no software was causing it any troubles, so I now believe this to be a hardware issue, but I do not know how to check for this sort of bug. Does anyone have any ideas on how to narrow down where this issue is coming from?

Hi, im about to upgrade my motherboard, I've read online that I'll probably have to do a clean install of windows to get rid of the old motherboard drivers. Should I do the reset before or after I install the new motherboard or does it really matter?

So this one has me stumped. My PC ran perfectly fine for the past couple months, overclocked an FX-6300 to 4.5GHz. It ran FINE. Today, I ran a Prime95 stress test along with HWMonitor to show temps - no more overclocking has been done. Now, my PC keeps crashing... noteably when playing Overwatch. But every time I played Overwatch in the past couple months, it would work fine. This drew me to the conclusion that something happened during the stress test, and now I don't even know where to start. Any help is appreciated.

I was playing GTA and noticed that my refresh rate was locked at 60, so I was tampering with all the settings to get back up to 144. I switched back into GTA only for my pc to freeze, so I shut it down and waited to deal with it in the morning, morning comes around Windows wont even boot, it says there is an issue and needs to restart and just keeps taking me to the same old choose an option to boot my pc, but nothing works. I tried putting the cable into my mobo slot instead, taking my GPU out, running a different monitor but windows wont boot. Linux works fine, but I really don't want to reinstall windows and I tried restoring it but that didn't work either. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

So ive had my system for about 2 days now and i have had some time to get drivers and all of that loaded up but there seems to be a problem after the latest motherboard flash i performed for reference the system is R5 1600 asus x370 prime 16gb 3000 mhz ram (2933) gtx 1060 6gb 250 gb 960 evo 2tb barracuda 650 w evga psu So if i leave the cpu clock by itself then the cpu runs fine at a boost of about 3.4 ghz which is all find and dandy, then if i try and overclock (in bios) then it starts going a little wonky running the cpu at the set voltage i had for it but having the clock at about 1540 mhz or so. which... is annoying and when i tried using the ryzen master software there was nothing i could do.. apparently the cpu was actually running at 1.0 volts when i had set it in bios to 1.35 for an overclock of 3.9 (ran stable before i installed the 0805 bios update (doing this also allowed me to run my ram at more than 2666 mhz without the system shutting off immediately so this is all the information i have right now... Cpuz is also showing that the cpu is running with the 1.35 volts i had set in bios. And when i tried running the ryzen master software after i had an overclock enabled ( after the bios update) the whole system would crash... ive been dealing with this now for several hours to no avail... should i just install a slightly older bios update and hope it works? (Before this i had 0503 or something like that (it was the stock bios on the board) with which i got the stable 3.9 ghz overclock i had originally

So yeah my cpu, gpu and 3 system fans are spinning after windows shutdown and they only stop when i switch off the psu or plug it off the wall. Also when i switch my psu back on fans will immeadetly start spinning. Sometimes only cpu and gpu fans will stay on and I have no clue why that is happening. I also noticed that on my MSI motherboard the cpu EZ debug led is on while the system is "shutdown". I'm running windows 10 64bit and here are my system specs: intel skylake i5-6600 asus gtx1060 6gb turbo msi b250m mortar corsair vengeance lpx 8gb ddr4 corsair vs650 Thanks in advance!

My CPU usage fluctuates a lot when using Adobe Media Encoder to render an After Effects project, which is an audio visualizer. I'm using the match source-high bitrate preset. The CPU usage goes up to 80% then 1 second later it comes back down to 40%-50% and then again goes back up to 80%-90%. This makes my rendering times massive. EDIT: Just tried to encode an avi file and the CPU usage is constant, so that means this fluctuation only occurs with After Effects project files. I'm running Adobe After Effects CC 2015 13.7 on Windows 10 My PC Specs: Lenovo x240 configured with: Intel Core i3-4010U 4GB DDR3 RAM 500 GB HDD

Hi , i was having a problem where when i tried to launch CMD , it would immediately close. I fixed it by deleting a register key which was closing CMD on launch. After doing that , when i boot up in to windows everything works fine , but when i log on , i see black screen and CMD launched in the middle of it. Also none of the Startup programs launch until i go to Ctrl+Alt+Delete / Task Manager / Run new task / explorer.exe. After that everything works normal , i have had this problem for a while now and i didnt think that it was that important , but now it started getting annoying to have to launch explorer.exe manually. Thank you

Hi guys, Im in a bit of a struggle. I was playing the witcher when suddenly my monitor lost its signal. After rebooting, i could see the rog logo and bios, but when it should normally go to the normal windows it went "no signal". After a few times it actually went all the way through and it looked like it was working normally. But then, when i started watching a video my screen went complete green and the other went full yellow. Now it consistently brings me to the home screen after rebooting, but the screen goes black as soon as i press anything, like the search bar. Computer doesnt crash. One extra thing, windows messages say: failed to start display drivers, using microsoft drivers now. Any of you guys have an idea? Im out of options since i already updated my gpu drivers.

Hello, so today while I was trying to edit a video in Adobe After Effects (Latest Version), I noticed it kept dropping frames and the music slowed down. I took a look at the info, and the thing that surprised me was that it was playing from ram and dropping frames? Eventually, it can even blue screen my pc. The other problem is it instantly eats up 116gb of ram and is still super slow. I have 2400mhz ddr4 ram and yet it cant play a 1080p video in after effects?. Something isn't right here. All Specs/Details: Intel i9 7900x OC to 4.3ghz stable 2 x Nvidia GTX Titan Xp (Not in sli) 8x Corsair 2400mhz 16 gb 4k 60hz monitor plez halp

I'm not sure if its just something with my PC/ isp, but after the update the forum received a few months back, loading times have gotten very poor for me. Its quite hit or miss, where some posts load up not much slower than before (a second or 2), however others will take nearly 5 seconds to load. I'm not complaining or anything, because I come here to kill time and it does not bother me too much, but I just want to know if others noticed this as well...

I was using it fine, then put it onto sleep. I come back about 40 minutes later to see that it's off, and when I try to reboot it, it shuts down almost instantly after coming to the lock screen.

Greetings. I built myself a PC recently, and everything's been running smoothly until- I encountered a few issues. Once, a set of mods caused my system to seize up, and I had to hold down the power button on the case to force a shutdown. Following that, the boot process was noticeably slower, until I defragmented the disk (?). Now, the system stays on well after I shut it down by hitting the power button on the case, with the fans spinning and the LEDs on. The system finally shut down while I was writing this post, although it still counts at about 5 minutes before it finally shut down. I didn't want to pull the plug because of how much slower boot times seemed to become last time I did that. Does anyone know what might be wrong? Regards, Aereldor.

When i start my pc, it boots all normally, windows are running but for some reason it needs to search or load in stuff like drives in my computer or the links in the side navigation panel are also loading in. The weird thing is that I can access all of my files. The thumbnails don't load but they all open and i can view images, listen to songs, it all works. I can even run programs from any of my drives, I can even start the startup apps that didn't start on boot. I've got 3 HDDs, 1ssd + 1 external hdd PC specs: i7 2700k @ 4.4ghz Gigabyte Z68X-UD3P-B3 8GB Corsair 1600mhz ram ddr3 asus strix 970 gtx OCZ Agility 3 120gb ssd 2x WD Black 1.5tb 1x Samsung 750gb hdd 1x LG external hdd Corsair HX650w psu Running windows 8.1 I tried to boot without my external, nothing. I scanned for malware and crap, found legit nothing. I guess now is the perfect time to format and install win10...

There are files that I want to delete but I can't. Each of those files have subfiles. This is bothering me so much. Whenever I try to delete them in command prompt as an admin, it tells me that those files don't exist or false directory. Very frustrating. The Files: D:\cock >Speech & Debate >>Sophcores >>>Seasoned Curlies >>>>Guns Don't Kill People, Peacekeepers Do >>>>>Evidence >>>>>>Con (D:\cock\Speech & Debate\Sophcores\Seasoned Curlies\Guns Don't Kill People, Peacekeepers Do\Evidence\Con) >>>>Smash Burglers >>>>>Evidence >>>>>>Con (D:\cock\Speech & Debate\Sophcores\Seasoned Curlies\Smash Burglers\Evidence\Con)

So lets right out front admit it. I game on a mac. I don't game 24/7, I also do work on it so its not that bad. Hey, at least I dual booted it with windows Now don't go spamming me about this, because thats not what this is about. I needed portability with a good weight, and a good performance standpoint. My laptop is a late 2014 15" Macbook pro with retina display. This behemoth packs a pretty serious punch for a laptop, not to mention its apple. I can power two external displays, but havent gotten a chance to try it with 3, but i've heard it can be done, and im sure a GTX 750M can do it easily. I use a logitech G700S for my mouse, and thats what this comes down to. I am considering migrating to a Mad Catz Rat Pro X when it is in-stores, but I'll have to see. I use my computer every day (unless there is a special event or something) and almost every day I game. TF2, Goat simulator (all basic stuff, but this is a brand new laptop, so now I have more breathing room to try better games) After gaming, there is a weird smell on my hands. It almost smells of propane or a gas, and cheese. Its weird. Now don't go saying what a lot of people think it might be, trust me i've considered it and ruled it out. Just don't. Is it the mouse? The keyboard? Im considering getting a Corsair K70 RGB with MX blues, so that may be a solution... Does anybody else have this issue? My hands generally don't sweat that much but its a possibility. I guess you never know (^ _ ^)

I need help in figuring out why graphic intensive games such as Far Cry 4 and Battlefield 4 (and many others) will crash on my system and I can play games like Diablo 3 for hours. My Specs are - AMD FX-8350 cooled with Cooler Master Seidon 120v 16GB HyperX Ram Asus Radeon R9 290 cooled with Corsair H90 Kingston 120gb SSD Seagate 2tb Desktop HDD Asus M5a97 R2.0 Evo motherboard 1080p Monitor As far as I can see, using afterburner in game, I can get 60fps on max settings and temps never go over 60 Degrees C on my graphics card. After about 20 minutes to half an hour it'll just come up with "(game) has stopped working". Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I have a problem with a Laptop. Sometimes when it starts up this BSOD appears. It's a bit random when it happens, but it always happens a few minutes after startup. When it's up and running it never shows. Thank you in advance Best regards Jonas
