I've had my current CPU for about 4 years, the Ryzen 5 3600 and it has recently been getting slower and dying. I was looking to take advantage of the black Friday deals and get a new CPU and I cannot decide between the two, I have a 3060ti and 128 GB of ram. Would this pair with my current set up well? it seems that the 7800x is much more popular, but it the 7800x3D is better? Help!

My name is Jeremy (Yiru for most people online). I would like to get advise on the following. I want to run the following on it. SQL (with Redis as cache). Minecraft servers (I am making a little network around max 100 people so far). Virtual machines. webserver using nginx/apache2. maybe some other things in the future. 2 idea's I had so far. 1 or 2 servers. (6 cores/server minimum for 2 | 8 minimum if 1 server) using multiple blade servers in an enclosure. What I want advise on. I want advise on what the best option would be. If there are better options I also would like to know. Budget. I could spent a max of 2000 euro on it. I would like it to be not 2000 if possible. (I will keep an open mind on budget if needed) Where to buy. I live in the Netherlands. But cant seem to find good places to buy from. I would love to know if people have good links to those if possible. Software is not an issue. I already have that covered. If any questions just ask. I would love to answer them. I am a broke 20 year old and need advise. There are several GPUs on Ebay and such, that have "for parts/not working" tagged to them. They have descriptions such as, "error code 43" and "no output on screen" and are at REALLY low prices. Would it be worth the gamble to buy a GPU with these descriptions from a reputable seller? If so, what prices would be worth it? For reference, there are a 980Ti(no output) and a GTX 1060(error code 43) with other better ones as well. I am extremely tech savvy and can work my way around a wire or two. Thanks in advanced:)

I just got on cyberpowerpcs.com to get a new prebuilt PC. I picked components off of the 4th of July sales and this is what I got. Do you guys have any advice and opinions on pricing, compatibility of the components, any unnecessary parts, etc.?

Hey guys, I am planning on buying a new PC soon so I thought I might ask you for your thoughts: 1. Budget & Location Germany -> max 800€ 2. Aim Gaming (League/MMOs (Revelation Online)/CIV/DeusEX... so a bit of everything I'd say) on my main screen while most of the time watching a movie on my second screen. Other then that mostly web browsing and "light office work". 3. Monitors 2 Monitors: Main one runs at 1920 x 1080 and the second one runs at 1680 x 1050 - tho i will most likely buy a new screen (with 1920 x 1080 resolution as well) the month after and move main -> second, second -> trash I would not say I plan on using more then two. 4. Peripherals No. I mean I want to, but there is no need for it so I might wait a month or two, as I got a nice working peripherals this will be a "novelty purchase" later on. 5. Why are you upgrading? My current pc is from 2012 (Alienware Aurora), and slowly falling appart ^^. I only installed an SSD and switched the graphic card 2 years ago (or so) to a MSI GeForce GTX970 as the old one was dying but well now the rest of the PC seems to follow and I dont think that it is unreasonable to buy a new one now.... I have a budget of about 2000-2200 USD (approx. INR 1,50,000). I think these are my 2 best options. Please let me know if anyone can think of anything else. 1. Buy low/mid tier gaming laptop like Lenovo y540 (1660Ti) / ASUS TUF FX505DV (RTX 2060) AND Buy Playstation 5 when it comes out next year OR 2. Buy a laptop with RTX 2070 and use up all my budget. What would you guys suggest? My profile: I am not much into online multiplayer games like CS:GO, Overwatch, Fortnite, etc. I will occasionally engage into multiplayer gaming in AAA titles. I use gaming as a way to decompress and relax. I am little bit of a sucker for fps and high fidelity.

so the day after christmas i decided that this was the day i upgraded my computer, it would be easy i thought, it would be fun i thought. NOPE. i was doing fine with installing everything, well i was installing a cpu and gpu, (ryzen 5 3600x and 2070 super) and my HDD had to S**t it self in the proses. when i turned it on i was so happy, the RGB was glowing, the fans was spinning, and the display was working but what it displayed was going to give me a 7 hour headache, "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key". i tried CMOS, i tried installing windows again, i have even checked the sata cable and port and it seems ok. i don't care about the data on it if it gets wiped i just want to get on windows again and start over if that is what it takes to get it working again. if anyone has any thing to say please feel free. ( i live in the uk btw and it's a gigabyte motherboard) tomorrow i will be puting the old cpu and gpu in the pc again and trying to get on that HDD and hope i don't need to buy a new one.

Hi first post here and novice builder. Looking for some advise about my system. I am upgrading my system from a daily web surfer to a gaming system. I am wondering if my current psu will handle the load until I can get a higher wattage one for pc. Also if it has a chance of frying other components if it is overloaded. Don't want to fry my GPU before I've had a chance of enjoying it because I'm cheap and in a rush My system MOBO: ASrock Steel Legend B450m CPU: Ryzen 3600 (stock cooler for now, 240mm AIO in future) GPU: 2070 super fe RAM: 2x 8gb 3200 HyperX Predator Rgb CASE: NZXT H500i PSU: NZXT E500 (500w 80+ Gold) I noticed the booklet with the 2070super states 650w psu minimum but all calculators etc seem to suggest I can get away with my 500w psu for now. Greetings all! First time on the forums here though I have been a fan of the YouTube channels for a while now. I am a computer repair tech and got out of the game maybe six or so years ago to explore other things in my life. Things have changed a great deal since I built my last system and I am in dire need a major upgrade from this ENVY laptop. So, I've puts some funds together but I find myself hesitating on what to pull the trigger on. I don't have a huge budget but I would love some opinions on the best routes to go on some hardware decisions. I have not been a huge gamer in recent years but would like the option if I decide to go that direction and I primarily do graphic design now professionally. I use Photoshop, CAD / SketchUp but would also like the umph to use some more resource intensive programs should they become available. Any advise would be greatly appreciated! So in a nutshell, given my needs for the computer, if you had a budget of around $1200 - what would you build? (In lieu of budgetary reasons, rgb and other flashy options which add expense are second priority, performance first) Also wouldn't mind a nod on some good monitor options that you have had good experiences with. First of all, I would like to make it clear that my native language is not English So I would like to mount a pc with ASRock B450M Steel Legend, Chipset B450, a Ryzen 5 3600 OR Ryzen 7 2700X, 2x8 Gb memory and a Geforce 2060 TUF or RX 5600XT, the rest is not important at the moment.However, I have doubts regarding the chosen parts. So, as I live in Brazil, the price is a bit salty... First of all I want to mention the fact I've never built a PC before but I've watched a few hundred videos about it. So all theory, no experience. Budget & Location I'm living in New Zealand, and have a budget of ~$2000NZD, but as you can tell this setup is actually $2500NZD so I'm not too picky about being over budget, just means I've got to work a bit more Aim I picked my parts to run games pretty well, with Star Citizen originally getting me interested in the PC stuff I'd like to run more games like this. I'm also a university student and will be using this computer for assignments and such as well. So this will be mostly for gaming, but will also be my personal computer for browsing, working, streaming, etc,. Monitors I'm planning on using the AOC i2637Fh, but that's listed in the link below and I'm welcome to people trying to convert me. I want an IPS display though, not too put off by low refresh rates or latency (so long as I get 60Hz... I've never really experienced latency, as I come from consoles). Peripherals Again, open to suggestion, but will probably pick up Logitech G502 Proteus Core, as its only $80 New Zealand dollars right now.
