My computer is handling my games fine at the moment so its not an urgent upgrade, but I was wondering if the gpu prices have settled enough to begin looking for an upgrade. I don't really have a particular budget in mind but I won't be looking for very top of the line gpu's. Just thought i'd ask to see if people are following the gpu prices and would be able to suggest either finding one now or waiting for further decrease of prices. If it helps i'm currently running a Ryzen 5500 and my gpu is an RX 570

Budget (including currency): n/a Country: Australia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Basically all recent AAAA Other details Cougar Dust 2 case, Asus X570-I pro Wifi, Ryzen 7 3800, RAM, 2x M.2 Gen4 1tb disks, EVGA RTX3080 XC3 Ultra Above was all in a sub 8L case previously, parts are just over 2Y old. Was prev run with an underpowered 600W SFX PSU so it was a bit of a hotbox. More breathing room in the new case, but want to water cool for better headroom at lower noise. My plan is to upgrade PSU to 800W platinum full ATX, have a Barrow pump/CPU block combo, EKWB GPU water block (no backplate, or maybe passive), 280mm radiator and 10/13mm soft tubing - because I'm lazy and too uncoordinated to even try hard line. While I've been building computers for decades (mine and others) and I work in IT, this is my first foray into water cooling, so I'm a little apprehensive. Any thoughts of whether the Barrow's pump will be able to cope with the rad and GPU? (I *think* the pump is DDC, looks like it at least) Also, will a single 280 handle the heat load? I also considered an alphacool 1U "pump station" in the forward 2.5" bay, but that would mean SFX PSU again on an adaptor plate to make room - and it's still DDC, I don't see a D5 fitting anywhere. Final Q: The existing motherboard doesn't seem to have a temp probe input, so would I be better off: Swapping the mobo for something with a temp probe to run fan curves on water temp Using the CPU temp for fan curve Using the GPU temp

Budget (including currency): £600 (Pound Sterling) Country: England Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I am mainly going to be playing Minecraft (and other low quality games), Discord, and school apps such as Outlook and Office 365. Other details: I am looking for a new PC as the, very old, laptop I have been using for years is now starting to die on me. I am planning on buying this is a month when I know for certain what I am going to make and it is the best that I can get for my money - and the monitor will start with just being my old TV but then I plan on upgrading to a budget monitor. Since I am new to the scene and don't really know what I am doing or what anything means, I would rather get a prebuilt PC. I am also not bothered about the RGB or having something very flashy, it just needs to work since it is likely not going to be on display. I appreciate any help on what would be the best to get for the budget I have <3

Other details: I've succeeded in getting a Gigabyte Aorus 3070+750w PSU bundle, so those are the set pieces. I also have 4 (+1 unopened) Noctua case fans. My lovely kitten succeeded in killing my old GTX780/I5whocares build. so here we are updating a little earlier than we wanted to. -Based on my friend's rec's I'm thinking of getting the Ryzen 3700x and the Aorus x570 Master mobo. --My questions here are: Should I go up w/in the same Ryzen generation? Should I get an aftermarket CPU cooler? (It's been a while since I bought a CPU, and I hear the AMD stock boys are good? lmk, please) -For storage I would like to get this Western Digital NVMe 1TB SSD + a 2TB drive that I am much less opinionated about. I know it sounds bizarre coming from somebody with noctua fans, but I'd like the build to look...kind of nice? Last time around she wasn't much to look at, this time I'm hoping to at least appreciate the looks. -For RAM - well, I'm a little confused as for the RAM. I'd like to get this set of Ballistix 2x8GB DDR4 3600 memory, but the model # doesn't match perfectly with what's on the QVL. However, what's on the QVL is annoyingly hard to find? (model BLE8G4D36BEEAK). -For the case I was thinking: H710i, Meshify S2, or the Vector RS. I need USB-C, would like to use the Noctua fans I already own, and want to see the insides. Also, cup of water resistant top would be nice. -I'm also thinking of getting a new monitor, something that can hit 2k or 4k. Curved would be fun. Y'all don't have to trouble yourselves too much with the monitors, that's my burden to bear. Any thoughts, feelings, opinions, advice, or violent reactions are more than welcome, especially w/ regards to CPU cooling, RAM, and the case. Hello Linus Tech Community! Well, it's been about a full year since I had my computer built, and I think it's time for an upgrade. I am going to put a link to my current build first, and then four upgrade paths I would like advice on. A optional fifth upgrade path may be submitted, but I would like to stick with the four I provide. Don't think I won't consider your fifth option though! Everyone was very helpful when I first bought my parts and I thank each and everyone that helped me make my decisions! The reason I'm upgrading? I find that my computer is lacking a little in the VR department, I mean, it CAN play games, but I notice stutter from time to time, and a few times the frames don't want to keep up. Besides, a year has passed, and new tech has come out, so I want to keep up with tech, at least a little. Preferred vender is ASUS, but will look at others upon referral. No AMD! I am Team Blue and Green. I have nothing against AMD, I just think Intel and Nvidia are better. So without further delay, let's get into it! I am a light gamer who has become hooked on League and needs to upgrade but am interested in expanding my gaming pool (now I have converted from Xbox ) and have found researching for my build fascinating but with the selection of choices I don't if I'm necessarily making the best use of my money.
