So I've had to do this a couple times where I update AMD's adrenaline software through the auto detector and every once in a while it just completely goes back to the earlier version So when I try to play some games or open the adrenaline software it says not compatible with current install graphic drivers and I don't know why it keeps resetting. I have an amd ryzen 7 5700g apu

Hello all, I have a Sapphire Pulse RX 7900XT and about a month ago it began crashing every time I load or adjust most of the tuning settings. Using the Adrenaline software, I was able to find some nice stable overclock and undervolt settings. They ran fine and have never caused a crash after 100+ hours of gaming with them. But out of nowhere one day, the Adrenaline software reset everything back to default. So, I loaded the settings again and my computer froze, and a few minutes later I got the blue screen with a stop code of DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. Doing some reading online, it seems this may be related to my VRAM. I have tried taking a few steps already to fix the issue including updating my BIOS, using DDU to uninstall all the drivers and reinstall them, preformed several sfc scans (the first one found file corruption but fixed it, no issues after that), ran Microsoft defender and Malwarebytes scans (nothing found), and have tried gaming for a while with all the settings on factory default with no issues. It seems this issue only comes occurs when I either use the overclock VRAM auto tuning, the rage tuning preset, or manually adjust my tuning. At the moment I'm at a loss for what the problem is and how to fix it. Has anyone experienced this same issue? Does anyone know what the problem might be? Will post my custom tuning settings and general system configuration below. Thanks in advance. Greetings! First and foremost, sorry about grammatical mistakes since English is not my native language. Second, sorry if this article is too long. I’m in a desperate need of help. i have a pc with this specs: AMD ryzen 3 3100 at 3.8 ghz via ryzen master Asus Prime b450-m 16 gigs of 3200mhz ram XfX rx 580 8gb gts oc (samsung memory) 430 watt psu LG monitor 75hz a random 2nd monitor connected via a DVI adapter msi afterburner + aida64 extreme (maybe my monitoring apps matter) my computer randomly black screens mid game and windows and every other thing in the background is still running but no video output and i have to restart. sometimes when my pc blackscreens, the gpu drivers corrupt and i have to DDU in safe mode and install them again which is frustrating to say the least. i tried every method that were mentioned before such as repairing windows files in cmd and powershell, rollback/update chipstet drivers, update BIOS, install AMD drivers without adrenaline software, install older version of AMD driver via device manager (someone suggested version 23.5.2 without Adrenaline would solve the problem) (by the time of writing this, the latest version is 23.7.1) but nothing. Installing the older version fixed the problem but the black screens are back after 2 days. i run a -20 offset power limit and 85 degrees temp and the card is in silent bios (1350 mhz on normal bios and lower fan curve and 1366 on performance bios with more aggressive fan curve) i run a power limit with -20 offset ( i find the system just a little bit more stable but that may be a placebo effect because basically there’s no difference and i get black screens in both ways) i noticed some strange behavior for example: as soon as the card hit 80 degrees it black screens i was running Furmark to prove my theory and the test would always end (it managed to do 7 back to back runs before the card was heat soaked and reached 79-80) and the system is stable but as soon as the card got hotter that 79-80, it black screens (the test finishes at 100% but shortly after that, the pc black screens) i saw the same type of strange behavior in games too ! sometimes, when i’m in Apex legends, the card randomly black screens no matter what the temp is and sometimes i can play for hours but as soon as i get a champion on the character showcase menu it black screens ! (Idk how it manages to do it exactly after the champion game ends) (these results. Are consistent ! when the card doesn’t black screen in the first 10 minutes, i can play for hours but as soon as i get a champion, it black screens !) the temps in Apex legends are hovering around 75-76 with fans set at 76% or in R6, i can run benchmark on ultra all the back to back but as soon as i go in a match, after a round or two, the pc black screens and i have to restart (the max temp in r6 after a lotta heat cycles and game play is 74-75) (R6 is not as weird as Apex, it’s just black screens after a round or two but sometimes out of nowhere, it’s fine for a long period of gaming until i wanna play on another day and my pc decides to randomly do these things again) but when i play other titles like NFS Heat,LIS True Colors (although my pc black screened one time on this game but after that it was fine), Control, Forza Horizon 5, Detroit it’s fine and i can play for hours ( i could try other heavy titles like Dirt 5, Horizon Zero dawn, Kena or Final Fantasy VII Remake but i didn’t play them and i don’t want to have the fear of my pc black screening in any given minutes so i didn’t touch those games (for example, i went to picnic with my girl one day and it’s was a 4-5 hour trip so i decided to run Control and left my character in a place with lots of lighting to stress the gpu to see if my pc crashes and it was fine ! In fact, i continue to play for like 20 mins after that and then closed the game) Or i play FH5 for hours and the max temp is 75 degrees with fans at 74% and no black screens and i play for hours and hours (since Forza don’t like Riva or Afterburner, i set fans to auto and a -20 offset power limit and close them in background) i replaced the thermal paste on gpu with CoolerMaster Mastergel pro v2 and it helped but the card still runs hotter than i like and sometimes, the fan speed goes from 73-78% under load to 99% in order to cool it down (like keep it in low to mid 70 ish) and sometimes it’s just manages to keep the card cool with fan speed around the normal speed (70% ish) and it has this really strange behavior. (The thermal conductivity of my Coolermaster Paste is 9 w/k) i tried all the software helps that i could find online and i cleaned the card completely all this facts says that maybe i have s weak psu but 1: i had a sapphire rx 570 oc before and it was flawless and 2: there was a guy on reddit with a 6700xt with the same issue and replacing the psu didn’t solve his problem (installing the driver without Adrenaline did tho) so i’m really tired of troubleshooting and i really hope that if’s it’s a hardware case, it would be weak psu because i don’t have the budget for another gpu ( i hardly have the budget for another quality 80+ psu too lol) the only thing i haven’t tried is turning of Freesync or unplugging the dvi adapter but i don’t know what else to do anymore. any help would he appreciated Sorry again for the long article

Hi guys, first time user for AMD GPU. I came from RTX 3070, so I'm used to using afterburner for both overclocking and in-game RTSS overlay. Since I bought the 7900xtx, I heard that adrenaline is better for overclock and undervolt amd GPU, so I tried using it for tuning, and kept the afterburner for in-game overlay. However, I noticed so weird behavior for using both app in the same time, even though I set everything to default on afterburner, and just set tuning with adrenaline. The fan curve is bugged, and weird crashing happening. My question is: Will afterburner conflict with adrenaline and fight to reset my gpu tuning? Can I use both app at the same time, or better yet, disable the afterburner functions about tuning and fan curve control? Ps. I know adrenaline also has in-game overlay, but since I can't seem to find a way to customize the overlay content, it won't do for me. Thank you!

Hi there, I've just upgraded from a GTX 970 to a RX 6700 XT, and am having trouble with the adrenaline software. When I swapped the gpu's I used a display driver uninstaller to remove all the NVidia drives. and then clean installed the AMD adrenalin software. There is no streaming tab, no video recording tab or anything. I've tried multiple solutions, I've reinstalled the drives many times, even using AMD's driver cleanup tool. I've checked to make sure that hyper v is of, it is and has never been on, and I have disabled windows from automatically changing the display drives through both the Local Group Policy and through system control. The only way I have been able to get the tab and options to apare is when I installed the enterprise version of the drives. However when using the enterprise version of the drives forza horizon 5 gives the error code FH302, no graphics drives installed and refuses to launch. I can't find any more solutions to try to fix this issue does anyone know what I should try? Thanks

So I have always had software issues with Rainbow Six siege on my new PC build, but it pretty much doesn't work with any program I have that uses any kind of in-game overlay (except for the Uplay overlay of course). My radeon Adrenaline overlay simply doesn't work, if I try to open discord overlay in a match the game freezes, and it causes ASUS aura to stop working while i'm playing. I've just kind of dealt with this for now but I use Adrenaline's Instant Replay feature a lot (and it works fine for any other game I play), and I would really like to be able to save the last 60 seconds of gameplay while playing siege. It has only worked once for me on siege randomly, and Adrenaline pretty much crashes and won't start again after I play siege until I reboot my PC completely. The overlay never opens and if I use the hotkey to save a replay I usually find the replay file is just a video of a green background. Since I don't think I will find a solution to this issue I was hoping someone knew of a different software that also has an instant replay feature similar to Adrenaline that I could use instead?

I Know, it MIGHT seem like a niche problem, BUT i thought that here i could find someone to help me. I have a Samsung Q900RA 8k TV with the upgraded one connect box (HDMI 2.1 on port 4). My htpc is: 7700k 5ghz; 32gb 3200mhz; vega 64 strix with the latest adrenaline 2020 drivers (19.12.3 the optional too). My config is using two Displays: The TV connected via HDMI The Sony MDR HW-700DS headphones connected to the iGPU for hdmi audio. With 2019 drivers 7640x4320 (8k) resolution was not available at all (even with super resolution it maxed to 5k). With 2020 drivers 8k resolution is finally available through windows at 29 and 30hz. BUT when i set it this is what happens: Screen Problem Basically the screen is divided in three sections: Right one is the left part of the desktop Central one is still at center Left one is the right part of the desktop Colors are messed up. TV says input is 8k res, windows and amd control panel confirm it What i've tryed: Disconnecting the other monitor. Changed inputs on the GPU Used DP 1.4 cable to Hdmi 2.0 (8k did not show up) Changed Deep Colour setting on the TV Changed input types (PC, Game Console etc.) Any Idea? Thank you very much!

Hello LTT forums, I have HP Envy x360 with 2500u ( 15m-bq121dx ) which gives me plenty of early adapter tax lately. I wanted to update to Adrenaline 2020 today since I read good things about it (FREE FPS) and honestly I hoped for a tiny performance boost while playing WoW or HoTS and get rid of some BSODs related to display driver. So I began with simply clicking update button. After updating, my task manager showed like 40% CPU and GPU usage by Adrenaline but I did not care at first. After testing in HoTS I was pretty happy with the outcome. But then my fans would be blowing all the time and it was annoying while browsing web (only like 4 chrome tabs). So I started my investigation. I read somewhere that clean install would probably solve the issue, so I did just that (I did use AMDCleanupUtility) in safe mode and then installed drivers again. It solved the issue, great! Now to the problem part. While browsing through Adrenaline I found something odd. My Freesync was gone - apparently drivers for the screen itself were deleted during clean install (my guess). I tried to reinstall HP provided drivers but my display is no longer FreeSync compatible. Windows sees my display as "Generic PNP display" and I can not update drivers for it. HP Support assistant does not provide anything that could solve the issue, but I will try their diagnostic tool (I am THAT desperate). This is my 1st VRR panel and I really loved it, I don't want to go back Q_Q My question is: Is there any way of solving this issue without factory reset ? Will factory reset even work? I am asking because I bought this PC as an refurbished and upgraded unit (more RAM and m.2) from a third party seller and I am not sure if everything will work. I spent some time trying to figure it out, but without luck. This is honestly first time I am asking for any IT help in my life (apart from work, where I can't do anything on my own since I do not work in IT). Have a great day everyone!

Wondering if there have been any improvements in OC or UV since AMD released those drivers that completely unlocked all the p states and voltage etc... Other than the driver release day articles I haven't read or seen any videos where the new unlocked things helped in oc or uv? Anyone with first hand experience or who actually saw an article about it?

I thought this might help someone hence sharing it. After upgrading to the latest Adrenaline drivers for my old RX470, my random occasional frame drop followed by imminent crash issue seems to have gone away.. however.. my card was suspiciously quiet and I occasionally seem to have developed a strange irregular stutter, most noticeable when watching YouTube vids. Investigation found my GPU was idling at 65C under no load, on the desktop.. seemed odd. When poking around in the settings I found the fan ramp up only went to 50%, not great since noise is better than burnt out silicone. I started increasing the idle speed to get a gague on noise, this system is old and the case fans aren't quiet, so it makes sense to match lowest GPU fan speed with 'inaudible over case fan noise'. This turned out to be about 50%, or about 1250rpm. Now I've heard these things make a lot of noise with old drivers so I thought this seemed odd, so I cranked the idle speed up to 100% for a moment just to see how noisy they were, and they hit over 10,000 rpm! Now, clearly 50% of 10k is not 1250. I adjusted the fan speed profile so it ramps up to 100% at the top of the graph (85C) and my system is now much happier, and at the moment at least no longer stuttering. My biggest concern here is that upgrading your driver's to the latest Adrenaline drivers, certainly in some poorly flowed cases, will cook your GPU! Unless of course I'm the only one seeing this.. I didn't want to chance restoring to default and running a game, I'd rather not think about how hot it got.. I've been waiting for the latest GPU's to drop before I build a new system (I think my old X58 has earned its retirement), and reading through comments from 5000 series card owners, no question I'm buying NVidea, I don't even care what AMD have to offer. System spec is: Asus P6TSE with latest bios Xeon X5677 running stock clock Sapphire RX470 18GB DDR3 1666 650W PSU (I forget what it was bit it's not a cheapo garbage PSU, learned that lesson the hard way) I can't believe how long this old system has held up, it was initially built in 2010 with an XFX 4890, i7-920 and 3Gig RAM. I never overclocked it, but always intended to... Just never really needed to.

I've recently bought a Lenovo Ideapad 330 15-ARR laptop which has ryzen 5 2500u and vega 8 mobile gpu in it. Currently my vega 8 gpu is running by AMD crimson 17.7 driver which is not the latest version. Lenovo is not providing any updated driver. But there is updated version driver out which is AMD adrenaline 18.1.1 . So, my question is how to update my driver to latest version of AMD driver? This update is gonna boost my gpu performance about 20%-30%. That is why I want to update to latest driver. Can anyone help me out?

(please move if wrong thread) Is anyone else having issues with Radeon's new overlay in the Adrenaline pack? It seems like I can't get the overlay to show up until I have manually opened the Radeon control panel (or whatever it's called now) at least once, then the overlay will start working. But even after that, I might have to spam the hotkey a couple times. I did a fresh driver install, using DDU to cleanup old ones. I don't have any other GPU software installed, so shouldn't be any issues there. But I do use Xsplit's Gamecaster to stream and that uses an in game overlay. But I still have the Radeon issue when xsplit isn't running. Any ideas? I also mostly play overwatch right now & there was the issue with ReLive & OW the last couple months. But again, Radeon won't show up when sitting in Windows. I'm running Win 10, (latest updates), Asrock z97, i5 4690k @ 3.9Ghz, 16Gb & MSI R9 390 @ stock clocks with FRTC 120 fps on Asus 144hz panel.
