Hi, I've ran into another issue, I've recently been having an issue with code 0x80280013 and I've seen solutions and the only way around it is deleting the ngc file. Now I can log in fine and get to this folder, I change security and the ownership of the file to have full control over it and still comes over to this prompt. Mind the blank white area. So know the question is does anyone have any clue on how to gain permission to delete this file? Many Thanks, Fire!

I was playing Valorant yesterday. As the match was starting I swiped across my keyboard hitting possibly close to every key. Immediately after, the game stopped responding and crashed. Now, I'm unable to run just about anything. In order to open anything without it crashing I have to run it as administrator, which is a huge inconvenience. When I tried to open Valorant straight from the file directory it tells me "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." I am the system administrator, how can I not have the permissions to open my apps? I tried running the built in windows troubleshooter and that crashes at launch too. I tried looking online but I honestly don't even know how to describe the problem properly to find a solution. Any assistance is greatly appreciated! I feel like it's some button combination I accidentally did (which will probably be a simple fix), but I have no clue how to resolve this. Edit: Running as admin doesn't always allow me to launch apps. They still often crash at launch.

Hey, I've activated the administrator account with command prompt, but no password was requested to change. So I signed out of my profile and tried to sign in to the administrator account, just to realize that there's a password on it. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? If not necessary I don't want to reset my PC. Now I realized that I should have changed the password before I activated the account. Hello there, I wanted to limit the times the main account (Administrator account) of my PC can login. Because it's not a local user, I used the "net user [user] /time" command in PowerShell. The command didn't spit out any errors or something and when I checked back with "net user [user]", it showed the correct time intervals. However, I can still login to this account without any problems, as if the time restrictions didn't exist. I tried restarting my PC multiple times and even tried it on another, non-Admin account, but the command seems to be doing absolutely nothing. Any ideas why? Edit: I tried setting the time limits while being logged on to an Admin and a non-Admin account and setting the limits for Admin and non-Admin account, none of these combinations worked

My wife works in Real Estate (Property Management) and her company gives everyone laptops and they all mostly work from home. A couple months ago the company bought a new round of laptops for everyone. They were supposed to give her the box & label to send it in to their corporate office, but they never did. 2-3 weeks ago the topic was brought up with her boss that my wife still had her old laptop and her boss told her that if they hadn't sent the box & label to just keep the laptop. I just wanted to preface my need for help so no one thinks my request is SUS and it seems like the laptop was stolen from a school or library or something. If they send for it, we'll send it back no problem. I would even offer to pay them for what a similar model with the same specs goes for currently. The company's IT has it configured to where everything is constantly being monitored. Cant install anything, go to certain common sites, or do anything that would require Admin access. What options do I have in terms of either getting admin access and disabling all other admins accounts? Factory reset from booting up via USB? Thanks for any help!

One of my programs doesn't let me save to my desktop. This is because this particular program can only save to directories without any spaces, and the path to my desktop is C:/Users/(my first name) (my last name)/Desktop. Is it possible to remove the space from my username without affecting my other programs?

On my windows 10 school laptop (Lenovo T5609) i want to install Visual studio for learning purposes, but whenever i try to execute "foreign" executables the system throws out a "your admin has blocked this action" or something along those lines. Is there a way to bypass this? I've done some research online and lot of people say that you are suppoed to write "net user administrator /active:yes", but this results in "error 5. no access" i really would appreciate any help!

I am the sole administrator on my PC it even says so when I go to the settings of Windows 10 and look at my account and it says administrator but I am trying to download a anti virus on my PC that i just built but this message keeps popping up when i try to set a download location "you need permission form the administrator". I even went onto where i tried to download it and right clicked on it went to properties and went into the security tab and even there it says that I am the administrator. I have only 1 user account on my PC and I am about to pull my hair because I have been online for hours looking how to fix this problem

hello everyone i have just bought an msi Raider ge63vr specs: i7 7700hq - gtx 1070 - 16 gb ddr4 2400 ram single stick - 256 ssd pci + 1tb hdd - windows 10 64bit i dont know why but everytime i press run as administrator on a program the mouse freezes for a second it happens even somewhere else but i didnt figure out the event triggering this phenomenon actually it doesnt freeze cause you are still moving the cursor but you see the movement blocked for like 1 second and then it gets back to normal showing you where it did go could it be due to the monitor that is 120hz ? by the way i already tried resetting the laptop with windows -> settings -> security -> restore but it didnt work and i downloaded the latest cpu and gpu drivers i just noticed that if i have OBS studio recording the screen, that i was trying to do to let you see with your eyes the issue, the problem magically disappears hope you guys can help me -
Hello, I encountered an issue when I tried to get HP smart app for my printer. The Microsoft Store app won't let me download. It gave an error saying that there are no devices to install on. I looked up some solutions online and couldn't really get a definite answer. One post recommended to edit something in "Services" but when I tried to open services, I was blocked by Admin. I don't really know how that can happen since I am Admin and the only user on this PC. I checked user settings and it still says that I'm Administrator, but the message still pops up for some programs. I've tried turning off UAC, but the pop up still goes up when I try to open Services. I tried net user administrator to go and use the built in admin, but it can't do anything to change my actual user since it's already saying that it is admin. Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

Hi there, My problem is when I open Microsoft Store i get this message on my screen. Have googled it done the Group Policy editor and Regedit as well nothing works. Tried a USB Window reinstall that didn't change. All the other apps work except this. I have a second machine and it works fine. Thanks in Advance.

Hello lovely guys and girls. I'm looking for a program/script or just a solution on my problems. I just startede working with coaching a cs go team :D I need to with a pc, or just on the pc's: Automatics update, windows, format if needed. diskfragmant and similar options for windows. I NEEDS TO! be able to see, boot, login and format the pc. Even update steam games. and ofc fortnite :S (I KNOW!) If something "naughty" is installed, something there's not supposed to be there, lige someone installed minion master the other day :s i need the options that i can be able to scan the computer, like antivirus malmware etc. I must not run when the login in user is there. like from a certain time to another, and run on a specific time. is this possible? //thanks for ur time reading this and i hope u know something :=)

This time, it's being reported that under a specific set of conditions, the default Administrator account can end up being invalidated after upgrading from 1803 to 1809. According to the reports, originally from GHacks: The biggest thing for me on this is that Microsoft's recommended fix is that you either: Create a separate account with admin privileges BEFORE installing the update, to use going forward, or; Avoid meeting the criteria Neither of these feel like real solutions to me, and there is no advice offered for anyone who might already be in this position. I can't imagine this having too much of a drastic effect for most people, but it's just another issue to add to a long line of issues, and I'm not a big fan of Microsoft's response. Hey everyone! My companies IT department is hosting a challenge around who is the most tech savvy out of IT. I would obviously like to participate in this. Their challenge is to try and get the administrator password on the network. I think the point of this is to try and see if group policy is good enough for a startup company. Here I'll list off everything that I have: My account is a network standard account. I have access to all windows+r commands (I think) I don't have access to command prompt and any of the windows+x options. I can boot into windows recovery (the screen you get when you hold shift and restart) and I have all the options. The Dell BIOS is locked with a password and so are the boot options. I only have access to Ease of access center in control panel. I obviously don't have access to group policy. I also do have a local admin account on a MacBook (wireless) and an iMac (ethernet) If any of you can help me that would be awesome because you get an extra 3 days of vacation if you can get the password. HI i have a family computer and i created 2 more accounts on it, 1 normal and 1 administrator, My problem is that all the accounts on it can see the files on the disk and delete it and i dont want that How can i solve this?

Hello! How can I replace a dll file from system32. I can't do that even with the "Secret" admin account by typing in cmd "net user administrator /active:yes". I downloaded the replacement straight form dll files fixer. And please don't tell me about security and things like that.

Hello, I'm having trouble running an .exe file I just downloaded. When i click on it, the administration thing shows up, i select "yes" and then the mouse pointer shows that's something is loading, just to vanish after 2-3 seconds. I saw from the task manager > processes that the installer shows up for like 0.5 s with Status "suspended" (Note: It's not always suspended) and then it closes. The .exe file I'm trying to run is the "Logitech Control" installer, it worked fine on my Surface Go. (Both browsers are Opera) What I've tried: Downloading from a different browser (Chrome) DL an older version I checked the %appdata% and %programdata% to make sure it was clean Checked the Registry Editor, all fine Deactivated Windows Security Right click on file > Properties > Security: permissions given Restarted the PC (obv) Tried to DL Whatsapp Desktop (just to check if the problem was affecting Downloaded .exe files) and it worked I don't know what to do, haven't found anyone with the same problem on the internet. I hope you guys can help me, Thank you!

I didn't like my account name so i changed it in netplwiz, but when i did that i lost my admin rights and it changed me to a guest, i cant get them back. When i try to open something that needs admin rights it says i need to type in a password but, i can't seem to find where or how. Does anyone know how I can give myself admin right? Thnx.

Hello everyone, I have a question involving windows 8.1 accounts: I have a pc in my school and I am a system administrator of that PC. Others should have access to use that pc via a public account. Problem starts here, I came the other day to see that someone had logged in their microsoft account through the pc's local public account, effectively putting a password on it. I want to FORBID (not simply disable) any sort of password change and microsoft login to that account (sort of make it as a guest account). Thanks! -
I had a problem in windows 10 where a blue/yellow shield overlay appeared on some icons and when you wanted to change the icon in properties the admin prompt message appeared and I had to approve for admin rights to change it. Now after days of researching the issue I finally figured it out that I needed to disable "Admin Approval Mode" in "Local Security Policy" editor. So now after I got rid of those blue/yellow shield things appearing on icons I ran into the bigger issue (of course)... Now I can't open any windows related app (pictures, calculator, calendar) etc.. it says: Calculator can't be opened using the built-in administrator account. What do I do now? I can solve it by enabling "Admin Approval Mode" in "Local Security Policy", but the blue/yellow shields appear again...

So recently someone reinstalled Windows 7 for me. I realized that whatever settings I have now are not the ones I had before. What I mean is every time I try to open some folders a pop up appears and asks me for my permission, and there's a program in particular I installed before which worked just fine (Malwarebytes) and now the icon in my Desktop has that typical blue and yellow shield, and every time I try to open it, it asks me for my permission again, and that didn't happen before. I mean, when installing something it would always ask for permission but it was only once. So I'm sure there's something different in the settings but I don't know what it is. If I check on the start menu my only user appears as administrator. I did hear about giving full administrator rights but apparently it's not safe, and I don't really know if I used to have full rights before. Sorry for my rambling lol, hopefully I explained myself well. I can't really pinpoint exactly what's happening but I'd appreciate it if you helped me out.

I have recently decided that putting an Administrator Password on my computer would be a good idea. I want to have to type in a password on the execution of programs and installations (or, if anything, just installation). The problem is, however, I cannot seem to figure out how to do this on Windows 10. I have a PIN that I must type in to log on, but past that, I cannot seem to figure out any extra security features. So, I was wondering if anyone else could direct me on how to do this. I've already Googled the phrase in several different orders, but I cannot find anything that appears to be reputable. I've fiddled all around in the Windows 10 Settings panel as well as the Control Panel, and still, for the life of me, can't find out how to set an Administrator Password. If anyone has a link or the know-how on this, please let me know, that would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.
