Summary For some reason, few days after the ABK acquisition, Activision titles and at least one MS title (Halo Master Chief Collection) saw a price hike on Steam in some regions. First spotted in Argentina, then the price hike also applies for India, Turkey, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and several other regions list of the games affected: - Every COD on Steam. Price change listed in the source and quote. Meanwhile: Black Ops III: $51 - $57, converted from Indonesian Rupiah pricing of 800K - 891K Modern Warfare 2019 and Black Ops Cold War: $52 - $57, converted from Indonesian Rupiah pricing of 800K - 891K - Crash N. Sane Trilogy and Crash 4 (Price change listed in the source and quote) - Spyro Reignited Trilogy (Price change listed in the source and quote) - Sekiro (Price change listed in the source and quote) - Both OG Prototype and Prototype 2 (Price change listed in the source and quote) - HALO Master Chief Collection (11 bucks - 38 bucks, converted from Indonesian Rupiah pricing of 169K - 599K) Quotes My thoughts I... don't think this is a good way to recoup some of the money that you just spend for one mega giant AAA company. Just saying. And for anyone saying this is how they're going to announce these games in Game Pass, well... I don't even know anymore Sources https://winpoin.com/hot-imbas-akuisisi-game-microsoft-dan-activision-blizzard-di-steam-naik-harga/ https://fandomwire.com/activision-have-put-the-price-up-call-of-duty-games/

Hey guys. For AMD GPU and iGPU gamers, are you experiencing DirectX Error Crashes.. To be exact, "DirectX Unrecoverable Error"??? This had been happening since the Season 3 update of Warzone 2.0. Seems AMD and Activision up to this day does not even care.. No official announcements from either parties.. Hopefully this gets resolved soon or else, we have to sell our organs to afford nVidia GPUs..

I think I'm safe in saying that microtransactions are seriously becoming a cancer in the gaming community, however, Activision appears to have found a way to one up this in a recent patent it was granted. The patent in question details the use of matchmaking and social engineering to encourage players to make more purchases, also titled as "System and method for driving microtransactions in multiplayer video games". HardOCP Link (Originally saw this here): https://www.hardocp.com/news/2017/10/17/activision_uses_matchmaking_tricks_to_sell_ingame_items https://www.rollingstone.com/glixel/news/how-activision-uses-matchmaking-tricks-to-sell-in-game-items-w509288 This just seems really horrible to me and kind of leaves me at a loss for words... Seriously, with each new microtransaction story, it's like the game companies are trying to emulate drug dealers to try and get gamers hooked on a games microtransaction system to reap higher profits. Patent: http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect2=PTO1&Sect2=HITOFF&p=1&u=/netahtml/PTO/search-bool.html&r=1&f=G&l=50&d=PALL&RefSrch=yes&Query=PN/9789406 Update: So on the good news front, if Bungie and Activision are to be believed, this is currently not being implemented in any of their titles... Again, this is if the companies that are implementing this are to be believed. Personally, I still hold my doubts as if it was well implemented, then you may not be able to tell whether or not this is influencing your game or gameplay.

Overwatch is currently one of the most popular games with millions of players every month E-sports is now one of the fastest growing markets with its popularity rising as more games are added to the lineup Activision Blizzard announced that the Overwatch e-sports league will arrive soon Its really interesting to see that major cities will be represented which mimics what most sports do; the possibilities of seeing each city cheering on their team is actually pretty exciting I personally hope that e-sports becomes more widely accepted as a legitimate market for entertainment given that most people still view it with suspicion The leagues are growing and more and more people are watching, I know I am Source: http://theticker.org/activision-blizzards-overwatch-league-slated-to-debut-in-2017

As much as i enjoy seeing EA get styled on with bad performing results its very bad that this is happening. This results in them dropping more risky ip's and developing new property because they cant absorb the costs of developing. Say Anthem for example, i really enjoyed it and have got to then endgame and will start the grind towards new and better stuff (i'm going to ignore the controversies with the game since i feel that it does not massively effect it in the long run). The reason of why i ignore the controversies is that they only effect a minority of people who like to bash the company just because, but it fails as others have said it could spell the end of Bioware or at least cause a large restructure. Further more if you see more gaming orientated media the pieces written about x or y game will only be a hit piece that gain views/clicks but that is a journo for you. A redeeming factor in this is that Apex might save multiple projects within EA since the extra money means that can again take risk and explore new options. Also the shareholders which of course dictate it. since this would mean the recovery of the share price and that would mean dividends for the investors which provide the financial safety for EA. If they continue to be troubled they will fall back on bad practices i.e loot boxes and since they are a more or less guaranteed way of leeching money from people they will continue to do so, so they can again survive. Now lets go for activation the only real game they seem to produce now is COD and we all know what a used sack or taters (boil em mash em) it is. But it seems to make them money had over fist every year so much so they can continue to invest into making more and more games of the same type. When was the last time Activation really came up with a totally new IP that actually changed the game and perhaps started something new. Admittedly for someone like them they struggle to innovate since they mainly deal with main stream and now the more indie audience that other platforms enjoy, so when the new trend say as for the past few years the 'battle royal' though they may not invent or define the genre they can certainly take a good stab at it which in the case of black out has been a good success. (god i hope battle royale dies soon, i do enjoy it but its just dull seeing so many games shove it in). So its conclusion time sine most people will skip here straight away for the defining point. Large publishers like EA, Activation Blizzard need to make good money so they can allow for new major changes and development to happen since the dilution of industry will mean that though there may be more choice the quality of the product may not be as good (Anthem is not a good example), Say DICE were totally independent would they produce a better projects or would they fall into a cycle like the one they are maybe abut to fall into of more frequent releases which are more hit and miss. I want to see the large publishers succeed because they though not always glamorously do take up the main weight of the heavy hitters and dissapointers since since they take most of the flak for it. if Anthem was again totally indie it would be seen as pluck and would be allowed the time and space to develop. Yes there is no excuse for delivering unfinished projects to the masses but i think those lessons are beginning to be learned; R6 and almost any battlefield game to date of recent years took time to stew and get better. Attitudes are changing and games are now being used more as long term project which is where the games as a service is being used to best example also WOW is a great example of something that took time to get where it is. We as an exquisitely critical audience need to lean the balance of bashing and attacking a game or anything in this medium and allowing the product time to get better by supporting and giving feed back rather that going 'its shit, fuck ea they are greedy corporate wank sticks and bloody beloved studio killers' which they are somewhat. So hold your judgement and do try and evolve your own opinion rather that quoting reviews and boycott the things your ranting about. So buy and try then maybe refund if your don't like it that much, but hopefully with a better attitude we wiil get the games we want at the quality we want and both side will hopefully be happy. Though there will always be haters. (i wrote this very late at night and im tired af so please ignore any spelling mistakes or bad uses of English i look forward to the reply or maybe lack there of) Yes I am British. Greatest nation ever. No argument.

Does anyone know where I can buy 2012's The Amazing Spider-Man game (or its 2014 sequel) on PC? It says on Wiki that the games were released for Windows but I can't seem them for sale anywhere - Steam, Origin, GOG, Epic nowhere. Did they turn it into one of those titles that can no longer be legally purchased anywhere? Like the first Hawx game or Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow?

My friend is trying to sync his PlayStation warzone with pc now that he just got a pc but we’re cautious if the linking will work. When he first logged into warzone it automatically logged him in through battle net without the option to sign in. If we go to the site and unlink that profile and go into the game again, will it just sign in again and relink. Alternatively is it better to link through the desired Activision account and un link the forced battle net account and then link his battle net on the desired account. I font know which one to do and am a little scared to go ahead and try one since you can’t unlink for 12 months after . I know it might be overly convoluted but it’s kinda just assurance, so if you have any questions please let me know but I hope I can get some answers.

What do you guys think about Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 being added to Blizzard Battle.net? And what is positive and negative about this? What I think is positive: - Pay using Blizzard Balance - No additional Activision launcher needed - Cross-Game Chat (You will be able to whisper friends from inside WoW/Heroes Of The Storm, Hearthstone, ... and talk to your Call Of Duty friends that way! That's actually very nice!) What I find negative about it: - When the announcement was made, WoW gold prices for a WoW token is higher (you can use these token(s) to convert ingame gold to €15 Blizzard Balance for each token) - When the game appeared in Blizzard Battle.net I personally found it a bit odd/weird, Since it is a game not being developed by Blizzard. - No option yet to filter publishers in Blizzard Battle.net, I'd like an option to hide activision games or just any game in general. (for example; hiding games I didn't buy yet or not play much.) - Instead of Steam, They'll publish it only on Blizzard Battle.net (I understand why, But I do not know if this is a good idea... A few days ago the login servers were already flooded/full, 1 hour wait time to log in...) I'd like some input from you guys, Is this a good idea or a bad idea from Activision-Blizzard? Btw, I don't hate Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4, I just think it is a odd decision of them for releasing it on Blizzard Battle.net instead of Steam.

Hello everyone I want to livestream COD AW on twitch but i don't have the money to buy the game myself. I wanted to ask activision to give me a copy of COD AW for streaming. I can run ads for them or but their logo in the video so the people that watch me know that i am sponsored my Activision. I thought it would be a reasonable offer. Problem is i don't know how to get in touch with them. Can anyone help me? Thanks for reading Best regards, Jonathan vd Lustgraaf

Watch out Ubisoft..There's a new digger in town.. PS4 Users have been complaining about shareplay being disabled for COD:AW , at first it was rumored to be a region specific lock, Later sources have revealed that this is just all out worldwide block on shareplay for COD :AW , Share Play is apparently blocked out entirely, regardless of region. Users who try to share the play with a friend will get a message that says the following: “The host’s game screen is not displayed because the current scene is a blocked scene for Share Play. Wait until the blocked scene is finished.” Activision representative gave this statement to 'polygon' website who made an inquiry to the cause of it being blocked.. Sony designed the feature so certain elements of games such as the licensed music or a game cutscenes that can spoil the game game plot for the user could be blocked, so that it would not cause any problems with the industry with copyright slaps from higher up the ladder, but Activision seems to be the first company to block an entire game. According to an interview with a sony representative Share Play access is completely at the mercy of developers. Its their choice, and it's very probable that Call of Duty won't be the last game to block the feature What is SharePlay? (a detailed look) Share Play allows two PS4 owners to play the same single copy of a game over the Internet. The owner is designated as the host, and can stream gameplay footage to a guest console. The host can relinquish control of the game to the guest too, effectively giving another user the chance to play without paying. Sony added Share Play to the PS4 in system software update 2.0 which went out last week While Share Play is limited to sixty minutes per session, users can return to the mode immediately after the time ends. There is no cap on Share Play sessions either, meaning that a game can effectively be shared indefinitely. Game publishers and developers already have the ability to restrict the PS4's Share button functionality or block it altogether. For example, video shared from NBA 2K14 includes no sound, because the game uses licensed music, Also sharing can be disabled for cutscenes that a developer considers to contain spoilers. On top of that not all games will be able to support shareplay.. Activision says that Share Play might not be blocked indefinitely Regardles of this being a PS4 issues, Youtube gamers who upload gamplay footage or walthrough have been receiving notifications for uploading videos containing gameplay from activisions COD:AW with a copyright takedown notice, there was guy in here like yesterday who made a thread specifically on this takedown as a rant.. watch out Ubisoft, You got competition.. Post your thoughts & rants down below... A friend and I want to play black ops zombies. We keep having connection issues. One second we can't connect to each other because it keeps saying "Connecting to Game Lobby"... another second we do connect, get into a game and get disconnected 3 minutes later. One his computer it displays "Not enough players to continue", on my computer it displays "Black ops servers not currently available". My computer is fully port forwarded (it's within DMZ) and his computer isn't, but I am the one getting disconnected. We're both on wired connections. He doesn't have access to the settings of the router because the apartment is on lease. I KNOW THIS IS AN OLD GAME but I REALLY NEED HELP... I bought him the game and I've been trying to make it work since.

Cod advanced warfare(The new shitty cod) should be erased and Activision should make like, 2 years from now ok, normal people but mostly techlovers ya now fighting against the fcc, comcast, verizon and some other isps and fighting for net neutrality. The trailer would be like in 2016 with Tom Wheeler laughing with comcast's and AT&T'S presidents in a big building and suddenly, people like soldiers and shit start like an ambush or something and Tom wheeler escapes with loads of money and he makes the internet uber slow and then some war scenes and finally the main character goes into a building and he starts talking to some guy that's not looking at the camera and you can only see him from behind and this guy says "They took wendell but they won't take net neutrality" and the guy looks at the main character and it's Logan from TS and then Qain appears with some super technological sunglasses and says "Let's kill Wheeler" SEPTEMBER 2014 WAIT FOR THE SALVATION OF THE INTERNET! That's the best I can get, I'm still very hung over from last night. Sorry if I wrote something wrong I'm from arg, spanish is my thing still lol.
