I've lately been having a problem where my hyperx headset cable is too short, and for that I've bought a 3.5 mm jack extension. Everything seemed fine at first, but when i was talking to my friends on discord, they told me about a static noise they've been hearing from my mic, and that they could hear their own voice through my mic. I spent a ton of time figuring out what might be causing this (reinstaling my realtek audio drivers, checking my various audio setting etc.). I've found that if I connect my headset to my laptop without any extension cable I still get the weird audio leak (even though I haven't notice that hapening before). I've tried buying a new 3.5 mm jack extension, still have the same issues as before. My HyperX Cloud 2 headset also comes with an 3.5 mm jack to usb extension dongle that has an inbuilt audio card. I've tried using that too but for whatever reason my mic sounds quieter and worse when using that. The audio leak issue and the buzzing noise seem to be gone though, but I don't know if I'm willing to accept the volume/quality downgrade. These issues I've been having are starting to get really frustrating and I have no idea what to do. I would really appreciate some advice. Thank you.

Hi there, I was exiting a game where I was met by message. I didn't read this message because im a ********, but it made the monitor attached to my laptop lose picture and say 'input not supported' Im pretty sure from some research its resolution. But in every case, when I plug in the VGA cable it shuts off the laptop screen and just displays that message on the other, so I cant change it that way... Ive tried Safe mode with low rez and that didn't fix it either. Also all the assorted intel graphics stuff to my knowledge. Any ideas? Thank you! Carl

Hey guys. I own an Acer nitro 5. I want to change the boot logo to something nicer than the green Acer logo. I checked the system info and found out that I have a UEFI boot instead of a legacy boot. So how can I change my boot logo if possible?

My Acer espire (E5 553G F1j2) has Kingston ddr4 2400mhz 2x4gb sodimm ram (I’ll check the specific model later as I’m outside) which for some reason does not run at the stated ram speed, it runs at 1200mhz, so how do I get it to run at the stated speeds? this laptop has a fx9800p APU with switchable dedicated Amd graphics (once again not sure about the type, ill check later), does this cpu change in performance due to the ram speed like ryzen, or is it not dependent on ram speed.

Being the "Computer Person" I am, I set off to try and fix it. I started by plugging it in and trying to boot. It wouldn't get past the post screen, so I assumed it was a bad OS. I made a Windows 7 Installation USB using Rufus, then PenDrive Linux, and it was all going well for both of them until it just crashed and respringed to the Post Screen. So, I thought it was a few other issues.I started off thinking it could be a faulty HDD, so I replaced that with one I knew works, and still there was no success. So, I tried a few other Operating Systems. Windows XP, Windows 8, and finally Windows 10. When I got to windows 10, it went to the bluescreen (Sad Face Screen) but showed no text explaining the error. I tried that same install a few times, and it finally gave me an error code: KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED. After some research, I thought it would most likely be Bad Ram or a bad ISO. I used the windows media creation tool and still had failure, so I ordered some more Ram. Keep in mind, this Laptop uses PC3L ram, so none I had on hand would work. I tested the stick I received, although I got it new, and it worked just fine. When placing it in my Acer, it still encountered the same boot error.I gave up on the project for a few days, and today I came back to it. I opened the laptop completely, thinking it could be an overheating issue, but there are no signs of that being a possibility, as all of the internals are in tact. I used a magnifying glass and looked through every part of the MOBO of the laptop, and there were no scratches, no dents, and no broken components. Visually, everything is in tact, including on the CPU. I took off the cooler and applied a new thermal compound layer, and even tried a passive desktop cooler to make sure that wasn't the issue. Still, there was no success.So, I'm taking to here on the forums. When I boot, it takes 2 seconds from pressing the Power Button for the Acer screen to pop up, at 5 seconds it was replaced with the Windows Screen, and at 22 seconds the small loading circle under the logo popped up. At 43 seconds, it failed. The back light of the screen turned off, so it went super dim, after 2 seconds the screen turned off, and 1 second later the Acer screen popped up again.I've tried everything I know to do, and I don't want to just give up on it being a huge bust. Let me know if you have any insight on what I can do to fix this!!! Thank you All so Much!

Hi, To all owners of Acer Nitro 5 Laptops or maybe those who are familiar with its cooling. I'm asking about how good or bad would it be to use a cooling fan right under the laptop? I also tried putting a piece of tissue at the bottom of the laptop and this made me sure that it pushes the airflow towards the exhaust (found at the back of the laptop - back of the laptop while you facing the screen) that is why I would like to know if pushing the laptop's fan with a cooling pad would help (not ruin its design to release hot air). Please enlighten me. Thanks! PS: I'm using a Laptop Cooling Pad (dual fans) as a platform for the Acer Nitro 5 laptop. Maybe if you really are familiar with airflows and stuff, pls help. Also, the exhaust of this laptop is in front, right side below the monitor panel. Pls help, thanks!

I have a new Acer aspire E5-574G-52QU that came with Windows 10. While trying to partition the C drive using AOMEI Partition Assistant, the system went into pre-OS mode and after that the system wont boot up. I tried to reset the PC from the " Alt+F10 - >Troubleshoot -> Reset this PC -> Keep my files " option, but the reset process stopped prematurely saying that the process was unsuccessful and no changes were made to the PC. Please someone provide me a solution

I own a acer aspire M5-583P-6432 and something is wrong with it. I used it for about a year and it worked great until one day I shut it down and turned it back on the next day, and the acer loading screen popped up and after that the screen went blank. I solved this issue by letting it sit for awhile and it would work perfectly. But now it doesn't work at all, it has the same issue and after letting it sit for hours and it still doesn't do a thing. I had my dad look at it and he successfully upgraded to windows 10 and deleted all my data, and it worked for awhile then I restarted it and it has the same issue again. Anyone know any fixes? We think the issue has something to do with the video card. Thanks!!!

I'd like to ask for assistance on an old laptop of mine that seems to be having a weird boot issue. Please advise me of some options, I am an IT onsite support for a company with a little board level knowledge, I am more on software and networking guy. So now the issue that I am having on the laptop is about the startup. I am not quite sure if the issue is the board itself, but I am thinking that it is after trying some of the basic steps to check issues out. The laptop turn on goes into post and can access BIOS settings. If I stay on the BIOS the laptop can and will stay on for as long as you want it to (even if I don't go into the BIOS and let the laptop stay at the "no bootable device detected" screen it stays on for hours as well), now the issue starts here, after loading the BIOS options to default, I started running a live CD or bootable flash disk into the laptop and it automatically turns off. I can't do anything past that, it detects the HDD, and any other devices attached to it. I am quite sure it is not components (e.g. RAM, HDD, CPU, GPU) that is having the issue (I have tried the parts on different laptop as well aside from the GPU since it is embedded on the board). No overheating is also detected since the laptop again can stay on as much as you want it to as long as it does not detect that there is a bootable device attached to it. PS when the laptop detects that the HDD has a windows installed on it once it start reading the disk it turns off automatically as well. I don't think it is charger as well since I have tested the charger and it works as it should do. So more ideas before I send the laptop to the trash bin?
