I want to build a pc from zero (laptop user) that would be able to run the lastest AAA games at 1080p capped at 144fps (1080p 144hz monitor). Budgetwise around 1k euros but give me your ideas even of they exceed that goal mark (ofc the cheaper the better). If you can recommend a build or give me a link I would be glad. Previouse PC I build was good for about 10 years - of course started to have issues with newer games. It does not have to be that long but I deally I would change in 7 years. Aditionally I would like to checkout some VR Gaming. I thought I might but Quest 2 in some time. Bonus question: If I go for a lasting PC would that mean I should not overclock at all? I never did on my last build. Monitor: Currently have a decent office monitor Dell P2419H, want buy addtional monitor but for gaming. I totally do not have an idea what to go for. I was thinking 1080p + 144hz + good HDR capability to still have nice FPS (100+) on high graphics settings and enjoy nice cinematics Wondered about 1440p but I am not sure if I need is especially that my current 1080p 24" inch feel good enough pixel wise GPU: - RTX 3070, 3060 Ti, 3070 Ti seems like a common recommendation CPU - Not sure what to pick here. I think I read it would be good to pick 12th gen. RAM - No idea just heared that DDR5 not ready yet and too expensive. I think that 16 GB would be enough Storage - Have SSD but not NVMe so I would want to upgrade. Ideally would like to have 2 TB of storage probably 1TB good quiality SSD + 1 TB HDD. I'm not sure if this goal is even feasible, so some help on whether that will work or not would be great. If I should change anything, please add that, it would be greatly appreciated. Also, should I get a 144hz monitor if I'm going to achieve past 60 fps, or should I not? I bought a $400 computer from Best Buy around August (I know, terrible decision....). It has an i3 6100 and 8 gigs of ddr3 ram. I plan to buy an XFX rx 460 2 gig and put it into the computer. I know it can run current big titles like GTA V just fine on medium - high 1080p at 60fps but I plan to use this PC for at least a couple of years. How many years do you think this PC will be able to run future popular games like COD and Gta on 1080p. Should I already start saving up for a better CPU or GPU? After all, my CPU is LGA 1151 so its covered for future-proofing it. Ps. I have a constant problem when playing games like Black Ops 3/4 and GTA V mostly... First the screens go black but the sound is still on and after a few seconds the screens say no signal. The GPU nor the CPU are overclocked I even tried underclocking them to see if its the power consumption and nothing is overheating, while idle cpu is under 30C and the GPU is at 32C when its full load the temps on everything are under 60C. Hello! The backstory: Well, I've had my good and old PC for a very loooong time and it had served me well for the past 8 years. I've played all the games I love with it, from the basic Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2, to Mass Effect Trology and the Dragon Age games. (yes, I'm a BioWare fan... haha). Anyway, when DA:Inquisition came, along with it came the terror. My old dualcore CPU wasn't going to cut it. Since I'm moving to another country in a couple of months, I'm not planing on spending money on anything right now. But I managed to get a really cheap used CPU which was fantastically well preserved. My old machine: Core 2 Duo E5500 2.80Ghz, 4gb DDR2, Geforce 9800GTX on an Intel board. Right now: Core 2 Quad Q9505 2.83Ghz, 4gb DDR2, Geforce 9800GTX on the same Intel board. What I'm after: For now (around february/2015) and the next +/-18 months, a good machine capable of gaming at 1080p @60fps. I have around €1000,00 now and I'll save around €600 in the meantime. I will never get ASUS boards EVER again no matter what (2 already died bloddy on me). I like Intel so I won't change the CPU. Same with the housing. I really like the Air 540. I don't care for overclocking but I like to have the option to. My goal is in 2 or 3 years have a Crossfire or SLI rig capable of 4k gaming built on a nice looking case. Questions: Could I re-use my "new" old CPU, get a new Motherboard that takes DDR3 and save for now around €500,00 and in a year replace them with the items above or similar? or even go further and re-use my DDR2 which is in top shape (and get a DDR2 board) and save €650,00 total. Is this a good idea? Will my old CPU bottleneck the GPU?

Hello everyone, are you having a nice day? I am thinking about building a budget system/rig as at the time I do not have the finance to build a CONSOLE KILLER but I want to do some PC gaming and I don't want to go back to consoles. I have built pc's before and I am not really new to the concept but it has been a while and I am not really familiar with what it takes to run modern titles. I know dual core can push through and manage to play some titles however I don't know which. I was oiginally planning on getting a Intel pentium g3258 but due to budget constraints and my current computer dying I would prefer to go cheaper so I would not have to wait very long while I save towards it.. I was looking at an article and I am seeing that a bunch of amd a series processor is going for a cheap price and I was wondering if it would be better if I: 1.Go with the cheapest amd dual core which runs at 3.7 ghz. I can't buy a GPU as yet that is why I want an apu to do some light gaming while I save up for a R7 260x / R7 265. 2.Go with the pentium g3258 and overclock it. 3.Go with a amd quad core cpu on the am1 platform. I ran into a problem with option (2) and I don't know how true it is but (correct me if I am wrong) the g3256 needs z97 motherboard to be able to overclock it which would defeat the purpose of getting it for a budget system. I also want to ask another question which is what are the drawback of using a dual core amd CPU nowadays and is it possible to run AAA games on a $30-$50 APU. How long do you guys think I could get by using a amd apu and a R7 265 before I would have to upgrade. Please provide me with suggestions, they will be greatly appreciated.
