xiaomi Can i skip wifi while setting up my xiaomi mi a2?
vital_fresh posted a topic in Phones and Tablets
I had some problems with my mi a2, and i did a factory reset (i think, it was some time ago), and now while setting up it can't find my wifi, i know there is notthing wrong with my signal because it's working on my laptop, and theres no option to skip wifi in the xiaomi setup, so now i can't get into my phone. I've looked into things like using android platform tools to maybe do something, but it seem like i have to do something with my phone to get it to work, and i cant get into my phone.Anyone got any advice? -
Hi, I am having issues with my motherboard and Graphics card on a new desktop I have just built. I just assembled a new desktop tower to serve as a power machine to handle all the tasks I do on a day to day basis. The problem is that everytime I boot the desktop, my MSI X570 Godlike motherboard gets stuck at an "A2" VGA Error. This happenes every single time I boot the machine. Furthermore, it will always sit there for approx 28 seconds and then seem to "advance past the error" and continue booting and within 14 additional seconds, it has gotten me to my sign in screen and from there everything works perfectly and as it should. After performing roughly 20 restarts and shutdowns and startups, I have seemed to identify a pattern with the boot sequence that is almost always 100% guaranteed to happen the exact same way every time. This is what happens. I boot up the machine and the LED screen on the motherboard cycles through a bunch of startup codes for about 10 seconds. Then the LED switches to an "A2" code and sits there for 2 seconds Then after those 2 seconds are up, it shows "VGA Error" with "A2" code above it. And it just sits there for roughly 25-28 seconds on average. At this point my screen will usually show a black screen with a white blinking underscore in the top left corner. Then strangely it just advances past the error and starts cycling through a whole bunch of other codes. At this point it brings up the Boot Screen where it shows "MEG" (the model of my motherboard) and spinning circles underneath it as it is loading the operating system. It takes an additional 12 seconds until I am sitting at my sign in screen and I can start using my machine as normal. This happens every time and I have timed it every time with my stopwatch and found it to be very consistent. I don't know if this is supposed to behave like this or if my system is supposed to boot this slowly. With all steps together - it can take anywhere from 50 to 58 seconds from the time I hit the power button on the desktop to the time i am sitting at the sign in screen. Maybe that is normal, but I don't think the VGA error code is normal for every single start up. It actually used to be worse though. I just built this machine two days ago and initially it would not detect my graphics card at all. But I came to find out it was because I had not pushed it in all the way. Once I did that - it started working. It still took the same amount of time to boot but I didn't think anything of it because I would always busy myself with something while it booted. I installed some software. Notepad++, Atom, FL Studio, Blender, Unity Hub. And after a couple restarts the boot up would take longer. sometimes two minutes which I thought was weird. But again, maybe it was applying updates. Well then it got stuck at some "64" error (showing VGA Error beneath the code) and just would not boot at all. It sat for a good six minutes before I rebooted. and then it did the same thing. I let it sit longer this time for about 8 minutes before I shut the machine off. I proceeded to clear the CMOS and reboot. Now it took me straight to the BIOS settings which I just left as default with exception of some specific fan speeds that I set for certain temperatures. And at this point that's when I started getting the reliable A2 VGA Error message on every boot and it taking a consistent 50-58 seconds to boot to the sign in screen. So far I have not had it get stuck indefinitely again, but it always gets stuck for 28 to 30 seconds on the A2 VGA Error LED. Again, if I wait the 30 seconds, it gets right past it and i can sign in and everything works. the graphics card works, the drivers work, the GPU control panel works. I can see no issues with the graphics card at all. And frankly I don't see any issues with the motherboard either, but something isnt working here. So I updated the chipset and installed all the latest drivers and that has had no impact. I still get the same behaviour every single boot. But I don't think drivers would have anything to do with it until after the operating system is loaded which is not the problem. Is this just normal behaviour? But I find it hard to believe that an error on every boot is considered normal for this motherboard. Especially for its price. Here are my system specs if it helps. Motherboard: MSI X570 MEG Godlike Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 3950x Graphics Card: ASUS Tuf GEFORCE RTX 3070 RAM: Patriot Viper 128GB (x4 32GB Sticks) Power Supply: EVGA 850W Gold Plus Case: Couger Panzer Max G CPU Fan: Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 BK022 I also have a couple of internal drives installed. I have 3 M.2 SSD sticks. One for the operating system, one for installed applications and software, and another for my virtual machines Then I have 1 2.5 Sata 1TB SSD and 1 3.5 SATA 8TB HDD The last thing is a PCIe expansion card that has 4 USB C ports on it that I can plug in my external drives that I run my virtual instruments from for music production. My Graphics card is installed in the PCIe X16 slot nearest to the processor and my USB C expansion card is installed in the PCIe X8 slot below it. My computer is plugged into a 1000W UPS which is directly plugged into my Power Outlet. I can have all of this stuff plugged in and recognized and operating without issues when I am signed in on Windows so I know all of the components work and I do not think it is a power issue or a bandwidth issue. I am stumped because I am not sure why the error keeps ocurring and then just resolves itself after 30 seconds. I keep fearing that its not going to resolve itself one of these times like last time and then it's just going to be a continual hassle for me. I am in great need of advice and assistance! Thank you in advance for your time and support!

Hi all, would love some advice I finally finished my build last night, but have been unable to boot so far. Spec as follows Asus Maximus VIII Hero (Bios 3101) Intel i5 7600k 16GB Vengeance LED 2666 (2x 8GB) MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X 8GB Kingston 120GB SSD Seagate 2TB HDD NZXT Kraken x61 AIO cooler Corsair 750M PSU NZXT S340 Elite Case Bios has been updated to support the Kaby Lake CPU (I had a different error before this) On initial boot I get no display, and then boot hangs on Q Code A2 with Boot Device LED is solid orange. I have tried different SATA cables, different SATA ports and removing the 1070 and using onboard graphics from the motherboard. Still no output. Tried with just one RAM module. The SSD, HDD and graphics card are all from my old build so I know they work. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I’ve recently built my dream pc and it is the second pc I’ve ever built, had some difficulty when building the pc and made stupid errors (had to uninstall and reinstall the ram about 10 times as I kept forgetting about the top fan connectors). Upon startup everything lights up and I am able to get to the bios. In the bios all the ram is detected but my drives are not. Initially it spat out the error A2. I really hope it is not the graphics card as unlike other threads I have read the hdmi port through the gpu gets me to the bios. No operating system is installed as I can only go to the bios. Help is greatly appreciated. System: i9 9900k Asus ROG Maximus Xi hero (WiFi) RTX 2070 ROG o8g 16gb Corsair vengeance rgb Corsair H100i AIO Corsair RMX850 psu 2tb hdd seagate 500gb adata ssd

I've recently build a pc using MSI B85M-G43 and i5 4590. The setup runs fine, however when I boot it it goes to the EFi Shell and says map: cannot find required map name. When I boot it it shows A2 code on bottom right corner. When I turn down the pc after it shows EFI console and turn it back up again it boots up normally. I've tried upgrading BIOS and ME to latest version (3.9) and downgrading to 3.8. I have new battery installed and I've reset the system to defaults. I have an SSD with os (Windows 10) and HDD. I've tried unplugging HDD, plugging SSD into different ports, wtill no difference. During the first boot bios does not recognise any drives. And I've tried different power supplies, unpluging GPU, changing the ram, moving the ram to different slots. Nothing seams to make any difference. Maybe there is some option that I can change? Does anyone have an idea what is going on?

I was trying to install stock rom on the MI A2 after installing RR rom. MiFlash said "flashing is not allowed for critical partitions" and when i did "fastboot flashing unlock_critical" from cmd i got "remote: Flashing Unlock is not allowed". I then used the allinone tool from xda and pressed "lock loader" to unlock it again and ended up bricking the device as it now shows "your device is corrupt. it can't e trusted and will not boot" I can't enter recovery either only fastoot and nothing works. PLEASE HELP FAST

My mobo (msi z170 gaming m5) normally start in 30s and from a few week back now start in 2 min or more, i check the postcode and surprise !!! The secuence 9c,99,a2 is very slow, stuck in a2 and the secuence repeat again and stuck in a2 for a few secon, maybe 20~40s, after that show the splash screen bios and start normal and worked like always on windows. If i try to enter the bios, he take one minute or two to open (very very slow), and work very slow, is impossible work on the bios, even move the mouse. I am very worried because i readed many thread to finding fix , and nothing. i know means the postcode sequence thanks to this site. i tried many solutions like: - updated the bios to the last version (40 min to update WTF !!) - clear CMOS - take off the battery and wait for a 5 min - checking in slow mode - unplugging all usb stick - unplugging the video card - unplugging the wifi card - unplugging all hard drives - disconnect all parts - checking all memory ram one by one - checking all hard drives one by one in one occasion when i disconnected all parts she boot in 30s for a few time, but after a while i restart to check and the curse come back, jejeje. Again disconnect all parts and nothing, boot slowing again. this is my pc: - i7 6700K - msi z170 gaming m5 - 16GB Corsair Vengance LPX 2400 - ASUS STRIX NVIDIA 1070 - Samsumg EVO 850 120Gb - Wester Digital Caviar Green 1Tb - Wester Digital Caviar Blue 3Tb - TP-LINK wifi card Please any sugestions to my curse ? thanks a lot.

Hello Expert Community This is my first post. Ive done a lot of searching and read through a lot of posts, but I cant seem to find a solution or a thread that's been able to help me with this specific issue. This is my first ever PC build and I am still very new to this fun new world. I feel like there is either a couple of specific problems going on, or I'm making some kind of rookie mistake. I'm hoping that the knowledge you guys have can help me through this. I recently Built a budget 1080P Gaming PC. After it was built I was able to Overclock the CPU (Intel G3258) up to 3.6 4.0 and 4.2 Ghz before the temperatures started exceeding 80°C. I created profiles for each in the BIOS and left it there for a bit. Recently, my Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus came in along with a 1TB WD Blue HDD that I'll be using as a slave (OS is loaded on a 120GB Kingston V300 SSD). I added the two components and couple of fans then booted up my system. I formatted the HDD and everything worked perfectly. I ran a stress test on Intel XTU and the CPU temps never went over 62°C. Naturally, I wanted to push my Processor even further because I've seen what people can do with the G3258, and wanted to try too. So being a little ambitious I went into the BIOS and Upped the ratio to 4.5, adjusted the voltage, then saved. When my PC booted back up it stayed on a black screen and gave me the A2 error code. I Thought I fried something, but did a little searching a learned how to reset the CMOS. When I did, I had the option of selecting and booting one of my previously saved OC profiles. To be safe, I loaded the stock 3.2Ghz setup and booted up, everything was perfectly fine. I went back into the BIOS and loaded the 4.2Ghz setup, and again everything was perfectly fine. I tried to overclock again with a little more adjustment (higher voltage, lower ratios 4.4, 4.3, 4.1, 3.9 etc.) and every time I did the same A2 would happen. This is where I got stumped. I Understand that the A2 code has something to do with a hard drive not being recognized. But I can't understand why the error only comes up when I overclock. Is there anything I didn't do? Are there more adjustments that need to be made in the BIOS to get further? Any suggestions on what I could try? I'd like to push my system a little further and I really hope you guys can help. I appreciate you taking the time to read this. I apologize for the length, but I felt I needed to be as informative as possible. I'm tired of this computer. I have gone through three motherboards, two returns, and multiple swapped parts, and finally I'd cobbled together something that worked fine until I could put a better GPU &/or PSU in it, and I try to move it from one place to another, and now it won't work. So here's the lowdown. Windows 10 64-bit Xeon E5-2670 (SR0KX) Cooler Master Hyper T4 ASRock X79 Extreme4 motherboard 16GB (2x8) Adata XPG DDR3 Zotac GTX 560 Ti ITX Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS TP-Link PCI-E WLAN card Dell XPS 630i 750W PSU (three 12v rails, 18A apiece) OCZ Vertex 3 120GB SSD Hitachi Ultrastar 1TB HDD Diablotek EVO ATX Midtower case Hitachi DVD-ROM drive The system in it's exact above configuration was working absolutely fantastic earlier today. At home, I'd had it plugged in and stress tested and even overclocked to 3.18GHz using BCLK. Only issue I couldn't nail down was nonfunctional motherboard audio, which is fine because I've got a sound card. It was also updated to the latest BIOS (3.70) and was stress tested and overclocked after that point. My intent was to deliver it today and allow the owner to use it until I could either source an RX 480 at MSRP or find the hours to swap the PSU to one that could properly handle the R9 290 OC. When I set it up onsite, I plugged everything in, and it refused to POST. The code reader shows it hanging at code "A2", which my research tells me is an IDE or SATA issue. I unplugged all SATA drives and reset the CMOS, and encountered the same issue. I removed all expansion cards but the GPU, removed one of the two sticks of RAM, and reset the CMOS again, and still nothing. I tried removing the GPU and installing it in the second PCI-E slot and resetting, and again, I just get the A2 code. All that happened between it working absolutely fine and not at all was being unplugged, placed carefully in the trunk of my car, driven about 5 miles, and carefully removed before installing it onsite. It was reasonably secure in the vehicle and the roads were very smooth- I didn't go over any major bumps or potholes to bounce it around. I honestly have no idea what to try next or why the heck this happened (other than that this computer just loves making me suffer), so any help whatsoever is appreciated. Thanks. EDIT: It doesn't display any video whatsoever during this process, not even the splash screen.

Alright, hopefully this won't be too long because I'm already very, very exhausted. Last night: I attempted to overclock my EVGA GTX 750 Ti FTW for the first time. My attempts were unsuccessful. This brought my core clock to ~400Mhz instead of the ~1300Mhz it should be. I restarted my computer. Hung at A2 at post. Restarted again, GPU core clock back to normal. Next day (today): Was playing some CS:GO when I got a BAD_POOL_HEADER BSOD on Win10 for some apparent reason. Memtest86 returned no issues or errors. Booted back up, returned to normal routine. Opened up a YouTube video, same BSOD again. Attempted to reboot, hung at A2. Which brings me to what's next... My experience being stuck at A2 at boot: Every 6 months or so I get hung at A2 for no apparent reason on boot. I have always been able to resolve the issue. Last time I was able to fix it by simply resetting the CMOS. This time that didn't really work. I've reset my CMOS about 10 times today but to no avail. Initially, I was able to boot at first but I accidentally left my Memtest86 USB in. After exiting that, it simply no longer booted into anything. Every time I reset my CMOS it would bring me to the screen showing me information regarding what's connected and the likes, but from there I couldn't continue or enter the setup. So, here's a rundown of what I've tried so far: Reset CMOS (x10) Changed SATA ports of HDD and Optical Drive Unplugged HDD and Optical Drive Removed GPU (plugged monitor into mobo) Switched current HDD with another HDD Booted with only monitor & power plugged in (leads to blank, black screen) In a previous post here (on the same A2 issue) someone suggested that my mobo could be dead. Is this likely the case here? Here are my PC specifications: CPU: Intel i5 4670k GPU: EVGA 750 Ti FTW HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB @ 7200RPM Mobo: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming Motherboard Optical Drive: Generic Asus Any and all help is appreciated at this point.

While I know there are countless solutions to the issue where the 'A2' error code gets stuck at post, but nothing is really working. This is an issue that has happened before to me. I have tried my previous solutions, and those are not working. What I have tried: -Resetting CMOS -Changing SATA ports -Trying other drives -Unplugging all devices and trying the above Note that I cannot access the BIOS. It starts up, does its codes in the bottom-right corner, and then gets stuck on A2 and hangs. And that's it. No prompts, nothing. I know for a fact that the drive still works and is being detected, because every time I reset the CMOS, it lists it. Even sometimes when the CMOS is being reset it still hangs or has a black screen. Is there ANY solution to this that I need to do? Thanks in advance.

Hi, When I start my computer I instantly get an blackscreen with the error code A2 in the bottom right corner. I've tried resetting cmos and changing my SATA cable to SATA 1. After I had done these things i actually managed to get to the log in screen when hadn't plugged in my GPU. This isn't a new build (3-4 months old) but i recently reinstalled my windows because my SSD died. I installed all the drivers for my motherboard and GPU and after that i only get the blackscreen. If someone has solved this problem please let me know. Recently I turned on Intel Rapid Start through MSI Smart Utilities. However, when my PC first rebooted (a step required in the installation for some reason) I got a black screen with the letters A2 in the bottom right of the screen in white. This showed up before the "Press Del for BIOS" screen. This screen stayed here for some time so I turned off the PC and turned it on again, it booted fine. The installation did not continue, and now when I open MSI Smart Utilities, under Intel Rapid Boot it says Finish but nothing happens when I click the button. Intel Rapid Start Technology Manager says Rapid Start is turned on. If I just reboot my PC it turns on fine again, however if it has been off for a long time, like when I turn it on in the morning or after I get back from school, it gets stuck on that black screen with the letters again and I have to turn it off and on again for it to work. I would like to thank anyone who helps, or even tries to help, in advance - thank you.

So, I helped my friend build his computer. It has the following specs: Intel Core i7 4770K 16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 1600 Gold ASUS Z87-PRO Corsair H80i Corsair 750D 2TB WD Black EVGA GTX 770 2GB Superclocked Corsair HX 850 and when he turns it on, it hangs with no screen output and the error code A2. We have tried pressing the MemOK button, swapping RAM DIMMS and trying integrated graphics. And yet, the same result. What next then?
