hi, I am going to assemble my PC and right now I have decided this configuration for my PC CPU - AMD FX 8150 or AMD FX 8120 GPU- SAPPHIRE ATI 7770 OR GTX 650 Ti PSU - COOLERMASTER GX 550W RAM - CORSAIR DDR3 4 GB MOTHERBOARD - GIGABYTE GA-78 LMT -USB 3 is this enough for PC GAMING @ 1366 X 766 resolution with med-high settings?? PS - want to run upcoming battlefield 4 at above settings. also my budget is 30k INR (550$)

I'm not at total loss in computer, but this is frustating me. I have a Asus P7H55-M motherboard with the lastest BIOS update (1302). It's using an Intel i5 750 @ 2,68GHz For RAM I'm using 3x2GB Corsair Dominator GT kit and they are in the slots 2, 3 and 4. So, my problem is that, no matter what I do, the RAM allways runs at 1666MHz. I attached some CPU-Z info that may help. Can anyone give me some pointers? Thank you in advance!! Duarte

Hi, im building my own gaminng, rig with these soecs. i5 3570k h100i 16gb 1,6ghz cl10. asus v gene 250gb ssd samsung cx750w gtx titan, but when i was about to install the ram, it got a bit harder, i thought that ram was easyest to install, but do you need to push really hard to get the ram installed, or do i do something wrong. i dont want to brake my ROG motherboard/RAM. when i see linus install ram, it looks pretty simple!

I was wondering is there any benefit in keeping the same ram density's as in if you have 2 channels, having channel 1 being 2*2GB and channel 2 being 2*2 GB or is there no difference in say you have channel 1 being a 2GB and a 4GB and channel 2 being a 2GB and a 4GB assuming the same cas timings...

More precise specs were delivered about the connectivity “Wi-Fi - 802.11b/g, Bluetooth”, the camera “5MP photo and 720p video capability” and the storage on offer “12 GB of usable memory, synced with Google cloud”. However tech specs that HEXUS users like to know were missing, such as processor, RAM and OS. Now we have that information thanks to Google Glass Explorer Jay Lee. Lee found the USB debugging setting for his Google Glasses and got some details about what makes them tick. His findings are below: It's running Android 4.0.4 - Ice Cream Sandwich - just as Larry Page said It's an OMAP 4430 CPU - Dual Core? - Having trouble finding exact mhz There's 682mb of RAM (678052kb reported in /proc/meminfo). Kernel messages lead me to believe it's actually 1gb but some is being used for other hardware purposes(?) There’s nothing surprising about that hardware, and as Lee says “the experience is more important than the hardware specs”. He also sounds pretty enthusiastic about the product “the experience is pretty incredible!” Robert Scoble’s Google Glass review Luckily, for those of us interested in the new experience offered by Google Glass, there is a two week review of the product that has just been published this weekend. Mr Scoble is startup liaison officer at Rackspace “the Open Cloud Computing Company”, a self-confessed geek who grew up in Silicon Valley (he even wears his Google Glasses in the shower). After reading Scoble’s review of Google Glass you can be sure he loves this new wearable tech product. Pricing We learned that the Google Glass Explorer edition cost $1,500 to developers but when the specs are mass produced Scoble reckons that the bill of materials could mean the specs cost just around $200 per pair. In his informal survey of attendees, to several of his presentations, he found that at a projected $500 price tag a few people would buy into Google Glass but at $200 “literally every hand went up”. Perhaps initially the mass produced product will be priced somewhere between those two sums.

Hey guys, first of all i would like to thank you all in advance. On the last Cyber Monday I bought a new computer consisting of an Asus P8 Z77-V LK motherboard and 16GB (2x8GB) of Corsair Vengeance. Since the day I finished building it my computer will freeze randomly, but if any audio is playing it will continue playing as a loud humming noise. I did some research and found out the memory I have isn't actually compatible with the motherboard. I'm sick of putting up with it and am going to buy new RAM, but before I do I need help choosing compatible RAM. Could anyone point me in the right direction? I'm a moderate gamer, but also do a bit of video editing for friends, so I would like it to be 16GB of dual channel if possible. Thank you again for any help you may be able to provide, - Owl.

Hello, so yesterday after i watch some build logs i wanted to do some cable management. After i put every thing back in and try to boot up my comuter, I get an red CPU light on my Asus Sabertooth motherboard. I have tried google it but no awnser. I'm pretty sad cause i got tis pc on 8th of may this year. My PC spec: CPU - AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz PSU - Silver Power 850W GPU - ZOTAC GTX 680 4GB RAM - Corsair Vengeance 16GB Motherboard - Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0

Hey there guys. I am getting a new computer and i recently noticed that the RAM i wanted to get (Corsair Dominator) , had 1.65volts and that most other memory has 1.5volts. Will this be an issue with an Intel Ivy Bridge motherboard (ASUS P8Z77 V-LX)? am i better off getting the Corsair Vengeance instead?

Can someone explain me how timings and CAS latency are important when i am buying RAM? I am also curious to know what they are in general ( i am not sure what these properties really mean). Are they more important in gaming or are intended for other stuff? Your answers will be highly appreciated.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could explain CAS Latency to me. I always here that the lower it is the better, as with any form of latency, but I don't understand why it gets higher with larger densities and clock speed in RAM and why DDR1 had timings of 2-3(please explain how the timings are measured if you can) but was slower than DDR2, and a similar story with DDR3. Thank you for any responses.

What is the difference between DDR and GDDR? Apart from the fact that GDDR is used on graphics cards and faster, why is it not used for system RAM?

Hello there. I wanted to ask about adding new RAM at a PC. Should the new one be at same speed as the one already being used or can their speed differ? Also the memory should it be the same amount or can that differ too. Are there any disadvantages of having 2 different speed dual channels? (2x4GB 1333Hz and 2x4GB at other speed)

I have a Gaming PC that I made around 4 years ago, its not the best PC possible but it was the best I was able to buy at that time. :D Ive been upgrading it slowly over time but I have never upgraded the RAM so I was wondering... B) I Have a Phenom II 955 X4 3.2 Ghz Overclocked to 3.8 Ghz and a Sapphire HD 6870 OC from 900/1050 to 985/1200 on a M4A79XTD EVO Asus MoBo :) I have never touched the RAM and I have 4 sticks of some cheap Transcend 2 Gig 1333Mhz Sticks for a total o 8 Gigs in my system. How much performance increase will I get in Games if I put some High End Ram? :huh:

Hey, Every single time that I shut down my pc, and I have skype open i get this message: "the instruction at 0x0191c1c7 referenced memory at 0x28000013. The memory could not be read. Click on ok to terminate the program." Does anyone have any idea about what's going on, this only happens with skype. my setup is listed below in my signature 4 GB of kingston 1333 Mhz - 8 GB of kingston hyperX Blu 1866 running at 1333

Hey, I have a question regarding overclocking and the system memory. Now, I have an i5-750 running at 3.2GHz on a P7-P55 DE-PRO board. Currently, I have 8GB of RAM, using 2 4GB sticks. I've been doing more video editing using after effects and I want to step up to 16GB or 32GB of RAM. However, to do that, I would most likely need to purchase a 4 dimm kit, and thus fully populate the slots on my board. Will the adversely affect my ability to overclock my CPU? I don't really care about OC'ing my RAM (I'll probably buy and use a 1600MHz kit setting), but I still want to be able to overclock my CPU effectively, even past the settings I'm currently running on. Would it work if I used 2 DIMMs of 8GB of Corsair Vengeance LP + 2 DIMMs of 4GB *both 1866MHz* on the same mobo. I have only resorted to this option as i have am having trouble finding 2 DIMMs of 4GB in black, near to me, to go with my current 2 red especially at 1866MHz

Hi, I just got into hosting servers for games, not file sharing, and I am running 10gb of DDR2 RAM the motherboard is an Intel S5400SF and has 16 slots available. Do I need more RAM for the computer or will that be enough to run about 10 or so servers on 2 Xeon CPUs. Thank you
