I am on the market for a smart phone that does gaming really well. I'm talking about games like GTA Vice City, Real Racing, and Shadowgun Deadzone. The reason I am asking is because I am really trying to wrap my head around how to tell what a phone's GPU is capable of. On computers you can easily look at the specs and make sense of it all but on mobile phones it baffles me. For example the Adreno 320 on the HTC One & the PowerVR SGX 544MP3 on the Samsung Galaxy S4. TLDR: I don't know how to tell a smart phones GPU specs, also what phone has the best GPU between the HTC one and the Samsung Galaxy S4?

Everybody knows that Linus has an HTC One smartphone that he loves, and we also know that Linus overclocks everything he has :lol: sooo, I found this video on youtubez.. Would you oc your phone? What is your opinion about this? video: I guess everybody would like to see Linus push his phone a bit faster as much as I do ;) Hope Linus sees this. :)

So I've been really enjoying my new HTC One after upgrading from a Galaxy S 4G. However, there seems to be an issue with mobile headsets where putting extra pressure on an inserted jack (down and/or to the side) will make the music player skip songs, call random people, or activate random voice activation features. So far only test with one headset that worked flawlessly on previous phone. Because this is a rather minor annoyance for me, I'm mostly just wonder if this is a common occurrence with the HTC One?

There are those that say that the HTC One ist too small compared to a Note 2 for example, well, a solution for those people might be coming! http://androidcommunity.com/htc-one-phablet-codenamed-t6-in-the-works-20130527/ IMO, anything bigger than 4,5inch is too big, but it's always nice to have some options :) I'm also interested in seeing what processor etc they will use in this phone, there is more space for a bigger battery, so (hopefully) maybe we might see a tegra 4/snapdragon 800?

I have had my HTC One for about a week now and I have used a lot of it's features, and I really love it. I will be posting a review to Youtube soon on my channel HTTech123. There are a few things I like and a few things that could have been done better. Pros: Uni-body metal construction, Ultra-pixel camera, boom sound speakers/beats audio, noise cancelling mic, IR Blaster on lock button, blink feed, avalability, price, processor speed, Screen/resolution I love the uni-body design because it give the phone a seemles feel with not unecessary bumps. Also the metal make the phone more durable than some of its competitors. The ultra pixel camera is awsome in low light situations it truley is the best solution, and in outdoor situations it is just as good if not better than other phones cameras.The boom sound speakers are awesome and MUCH louder than any other phone I've ever tried. Plus with the addition of beats audio the phone has great audio quality. While recording audio and video the audio quality is good and when talking to others they say the audio quality is amazing. The IR blaster and TV control is a greate addition but isn't a huge new feature, if you wanted to and if your phone didn't have TV control you could just download an app for it, but this is still a great addition. I will come back to blink feed in a minute. Avalability is great because this phone can be found on 3 of the 4 major carriers (AT&T, T-Moblie, and Sprint) and Verizon customers can expect the phone in late June-July. The pricing of the phone is cool too, it cost $199 straight from the carriers, but you can get the as low as $100 on Amazon (on contract). The quad core processor is fast to and the ram can keep up with the latest games. The screen size is perfext and with 1080p resolution video watching is awesome. Lastley when I first got the phone I didn't think I would use blink feed but after I set it up I find myself checking it every so often in the day and it makes social networking much easier, and I feel it is one of the, if not the biggest feature of the phone. Cons: Volume Button, Lock button size, Only 2 capacitive buttons, no micro SD expandability, no battery expandability The volume button seems to be to flat and without a case is a little hard to find when not paying attention. The same is with the lock screen button it is not raised up enough so it feels almost flush with the top of the phone. The fact that there are only 2 capacitive buttons irks me dearly. This causes the normal 3rd button to take up screen real estate while in apps causeing less than desired views, and I sometimes find myself accidentaly pressing it. I hate the fact that there is no micro SD expandability, especially because I am a media consumer I download a lot of music, apps, and movies/video. Even though this is a consequence of the uni-body disign, but they could have done what they did in the micro sim card and makee a slot that you open. This really makes no sense because this phone is about downloaded media like music and video and the only way to get more space is to buy the 64 GB varient that costs $100 more. Another consequence of the beutiful uni-body design is a cruel one, the loss of an interchangeable or expanded battery. Again the fact that this is a media phone means those buying the phone will be playing a lot of movies and audio, and enjoying imersive games and apps so your phone will be using a lot of its battery and if your not careful you may have to charge your phone more than 1 time a day. Unlike the data storage there isn't another model that you pay more for to get a bigger battery. I would still say this is the best phone out right now though even with all the cons. I am looking to get a new smart phone and i am stuck between the Samsung Galaxy S4 or HTC One. I know the build of the One is superior to the GS4, but looking at the specs i see the GS4 has a faster CPU and the android skin looks more user friendly (and looks more light an airy compared to Sense 5). i am really leaning to the Galaxy S4, i would love to here you guys opinion on this topic. Please Help! I'm really stuck!

Hi all, For those that got the HTC One and choose to replace the "default" wallpaper with the "black building" you may notice that there is now a "grey" pixel on top of the phone and to save you the investigation it's the image not the phone that is wrong =p you can easily edit that dot even in MS-pain and just replace the bugged wallpaper under /resources. "Speaking to Walt Mossberg at D11 this morning, Google's Sundar Pichai offered glorious news for anyone who loves the HTC One but craves an untouched Android experience: he confirmed that there is indeed a stock Android 4.2.2 version of the flagship device One coming, and it will be fully unlocked for T-Mobile and AT&T at the solid price of $599. It'll go on sale in the Google Play Store on June 26th, the same date as its $649 counterpart, the Samsung Galaxy S 4 stock edition. The new version of the device -- which will be sold in the US initially -- will come SIM-unlocked, with an unlocked bootloader and 32GB storage. In terms of radios, it will offer quadband LTE (700/850/AWS/1900), triband HSPA+ (850/1900/2100) and the usual quadband GSM / EDGE. Sadly, this means that T-Mobile users will enjoy LTE and EDGE, but won't be able to take advantage of AWS on the 3G side. There is some give and take involved with such a device, of course; since it's pure stock, Sense-specific features (BlinkFeed, Zoe, Beats Audio and so on) won't be included, since they aren't optimized to work on vanilla Android. Still, we're quite excited to see companies like HTC and Samsung embrace the "Nexus experience" and offer choice to its users, and we're hoping this is just the beginning of a new trend."
