Hi! I recently got as RTX 3060 Ti and I heard that a lot of people are stating to mine with their home system to make back some of the money used to get the card. (Note that I did not buy this card just for mining, I am a gamer) I am just trying to make some of the money back. However, It really bugs me that when I am mining, I can't play, Its just very inconvenient. I would like to get another cheap GPU just so I can run some Minecraft or other easy-to-run games while mining. I vertically mounted my 3060 Ti, so I only have a 1x PCIe slot available. I have been looking into 1x GPUs, and the only ones I can find are Gt 710 (not surprised at all). I was looking at this one: https://www.newegg.com/zotac-geforce-gt-710-zt-71304-20l/p/N82E16814500395?Item=N82E16814500395&quicklink=true It looks good for my uses, 1x PCIe, 1 slot design, HDMI port, as well is silent. Any idea how it will preform with some zoom meetings, Minecraft, and maybe some fortnight. Here is the rest of my system: Ryzen 5 3600 Asus LC240 White Asus ROG STRIX B550-A Crucial Balistix 16GB 3600Mhz 256GB Inland M.2 SSD 2TB HDD RTX 3060 Ti Lian Li O11-MINI-W Seasonic SGX650 Corsair QL120 (6) Arctic Bionix P120 (3) Thanks for any help and dont hesitate with any questions!

Hello, all. Now, to start, I am very new to pc's. So much so that you can literally drive a false narrative, and I'd run with it. (although I prefer you to not lie to me) :) Anyways, so I made the impulse decision to buy the pc, for a workable price of $800. Here are the specs and big numbers and stuff: Processor: Intel Core i5-11400 6 Core 2.6Ghz "(has onboard gpu hardware coding)"- Seller Motherboard: MSI Z490 Gaming Plus Graphics C: nVidea EVGA Geforce GTX 1070 Mem.: 16GB 3600Mhz RGB DDR4 Ram Hard D (lol): Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB NVMe License: Windows 10 PRO Case: NZXT H510 Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 850W G5 Gold - To note, I will mainly use this pc for work, overwatch, valorant, apex, minecraft, dark souls, roblox (lmfao), and other standard games. The megamind turbo max games that are upcoming will likely be reserved to (old trustie) ps4. I also have an AOC C24G1A 24" Curved Frameless Gaming Monitor, FHD 1920x1080, 1500R, VA, 1ms MPRT, 165Hz (144Hz supported), FreeSync Premium, Height adjustable Black. To end off: I have a few questions: 1: Was this a good deal? 2: What're the downsides, and what can I upgrade it with? 3: Will my monitor support my pc, or vice versa? 4: And what can I expect from this white brick? Yours truly, MoxxeGDH

I’m looking to build a pc, hopefully with a rtx 3070. However there are none in stock! Is there any alternatives I could get or should I just wait. I need to buy it ASAP.

A question for you Americans or anyone who lives there or knows this. Why in America, for electronics people don't pay taxes? Or do you but it's not when you buy a product but some time after? Or the tax is 2% or 3% so you barely notice it? How does the system work over there? By tax, i mean the VAT. The Value Added Tax.

My CPU has had overheating problems in the past as it hit 98°C once which prompted me to rush out and snag a Hyper 212 EVO cooler for it. My problem is that it idles at 70°C and entering a heavy gaming session has no effect on its temperature. I'm just concerned about how it's so hot while idle. It's the middle of a cold night here in California, so it's not just ambient temperature messing with the sensors. Help?

Toshiba is about to lose their NAND Division.
NvidiaIntelAMDLoveTriangle posted a topic in Tech News
So Toshiba is selling their NAND flash division. So I guess we're in for some price increases in the future. Fantastic. /s I know I know no one cares right now since the Iphone double donut has been officially revealed and everyone is selling one of their kidneys to just buy one, but soon you'll need to sell the other one as well. I'm going to start this off quickly and say that I have a GTX 1070 on the way and my TN 59Hz monitor doesn't seem very fitting of it, imo. As such, I've been looking into 144hz monitors and looking up all types of stuff on Google and I've come out rather confused thanks to the huge variance in responses. I'll list my questions based on how important they are to me. 1) I mindlessly blew a lot of cash on the GTX 1070, so what's the best budget 144hz 1080p monitor? 2) Are G-Sync/Freesync really that important? Also, I heard somewhere that Nvidia cards work with Freesync, but I'm pretty sure that they don't, right? 3) Is Nvidia Lightboost actually good at reducing motion blur? 4) Do HD, FHD, and UHD really matter when I'm picking a budget monitor? 5) Should I really blow cash over IPS rather than TN? Thanks.

My computer hasn't been making use of my sparkly new 1080p 144hz monitor, so I've been looking to upgrade my graphics card. I currently have an i5-4690k (not OC'ed, I'm too stupid to OC) and I'm trying to not spend a bunch of money on an upgrade. I've been thinking of an RX480 or a GTX 1060, but I wasn't sure if that would make a big enough increase in performance, so I've also considered the 1070 and was thinking of going with that. I just need a graphics card that can hit 144fps on high settings in games like Rainbow 6 Siege for example. As an extra note, I'd like to keep it to Nvidia's line as I use an Nvidia Shield to play on my TV in the living room when I feel laid-back. Thanks.

Now I've never used Geforce experience before, I've always unchecked it from the driver installation, but now I wanted to use the shadow play feature, but apparently I can't without an account. Is there a way or an older version that doesn't require to sign in?

i'm going to upgrade my old PC (an Intel DH61WW motherboard with a i5-2300 2.80GHz and a Nvidia GT430 2gb ddr3 made by Sentey) It's going to be a whole build since this old one is going to be for my older brother who doesn't need much gaming power. Since i live in Argentina, not all parts are available and some are really expensive due to shipping taxes on imported components and all that, so i managed to get a list of things i can afford and i can buy here. Case: Deepcool Dukase V2 (already bought it) PSU: Nzxt 700W Hale82 V2 80plus bronze fully modular CPU: i7-6700K GPU: Msi Gtx 1060 Gaming 6gb Ddr5 Cooling: Corsair H80i GT (already bought it) Motherboard: Msi H170 Gaming M3 Ram: Kingston 8GBx1 Ddr4 2400Mhz (will add another 8GB later) Storage: 1TB HDD / 240gb SSD for OS(Windows 10) and a few games/apps Display: a normal 1080p monitor (here gaming monitors are EXTREMELY expensive, half the price of all the parts listed above) Others: 'cheap keyboard and mouse and headphones/speakers i already have' (mechanical keyboards and mouse are also really expensive but eventually i'll buy them) All of this (except the ones i already bought/have) are something like $1.600USD (without the shipping taxes and all that it should be about 900-1000, so take that as the final Price) Now the questions: I7-6700K: is it what i need? i'm only going to play at 1080p, probably will add 1 or 2 other monitors (and maybe one day buy a 1440p or 4k monitor I will play EVERY new game that comes out and maybe do game recordings and video editing for FUN. GTX1060: i was going for a GTX970 but i saw the 1060 is much better at a minimal Price difference here so.. (1070 and 1080 are much, much more expensive) Msi H170 Gaming M3: my greatest concern.. if i want to overclock, should i get a Z170 instead?? (Price difference is like $60USD) Also, i love the Msi Black and Red color so this whole build is going to be MSI/black and red related (except for the power supply but its outside of view in the case) I think that's pretty much it. Thanks in advance to anyone who helps me with some tips or ideas. ------------------------Edit---------------------- Case: Deepcool Dukase V2 (already bought it) PSU: Nzxt 700W Hale82 V2 80plus bronze fully modular CPU: i7-6700K GPU: Msi Gtx 1060 Gaming 6gb Ddr5 Cooling: Corsair H80i GT (already bought it) Motherboard: Msi Z170A Gaming M3 Ram: Kingston 8GBx1 Ddr4 2400Mhz (will add another 8GB later) Storage: 1TB HDD / 240gb SSD for OS(Windows 10) and a few games/apps

Hello! I'm really sorry if i'm in the wrong forum, but i need some help on finding LEDs for my upcoming setup upgrade. I'm doing all all white/ silver aluminum themed thing that's super clean and minimal. I have searched for LEDs for the back of the desk and other random places in the room such as headboard, dresser, closet etc... but i cannot seem to find the "name brand" kind that everyone uses. I just don't know what's good and what's not. So here's what I want: RGB, decent amount of lumens, different effects, and, if at all possible, the ability to control light color/ brightness from my phone or PC. Thanks in advance!

Hi guys, This is my first own build I'm doing and I'm wondering what you guys think of it: CPU: Intel core i5-4590 / Intel core i5-4690 (The 4690 is a bit out of my budget, so I'm trying to find a good deal for it. Is paying extra for that processor a good call?) Motherboard: ASRock B85M Pro4 GPU: MSI R9 380 4GB HDD: WesternDigital Blue WD10EZEX, 1TB RAM: Crucial Ballistix BLS2CP4G3D1609DS1S00CEU PSU: Seasonic S12II-Bronze 520W (Will this be enough? I don't have any experience with buying powersupplies) Case: Fractal Design Core 1100 SSD might come later Any tips and comments are welcome. ~Sozakir

I've been looking at a few keyboards and I'm not sure which one I should go for. Theres the Azio Levetron L70: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F8W9SWQ/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza, for $30. I like this mostly because it just looks good and is a decent price. Then theres the Steelseries Apex: http://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-64145-Apex-Gaming-Keyboard, which I could get for $50. This one's good because tons of macros, slim keys, and I really like the USB ports on the back. Finally, we have the Azio MGK1-K: http://www.amazon.com/Azio-Backlit-Mechanical-Keyboard-MGK1-K/, which is awesome because its mechanical and looks really nice, but its $90 and I really don't want to spend that much. I'm only considering it because it's mechanical. So what do you guys think? Also if you have any other suggestions for keyboards and input is welcome.

When i turn on my computer, it comes up with the asus logo screen with info on buttons 2 press for BIOS and stuff as always but now, after that, comes up a screen that lists my components and at the bottom says my psu has failures and asus psu surge detects it and saves the day . this never used to happen. i then have to press f2 to boot up the old windows and then i can use my computer normally. this first occured when i moved my system into a new case. only differo is that i now have 3 case fans and led lights at the front. also, when pressing the on button, the lights and fans go on for about a sec, then go off, then back on. is there any way to skip this screen or eliminate it altogether? it would be really nice for me. would this stop if i bought and migrated windows to an ssd? my beastly comp. specces asus m5a78l-m lx3 fx 6300 r9 270 1tb wd blue evga 500b 500w windows 8.1 dvd drive THANKS!!!

OK so I'm looking to get a New PSU, and have one in mined but just want more options and I'm trying to make sure i do a bunch of looking up and talking about it a lot till i feel comfortable with what ever it is i may pick. so for starters ill try to be accurate as to what i have and may have for specs and all that. specs. CPU, AMD FX 8350,(from time to time i like to 'OC for fun and for better fps in some games) most of the time ill do 4.7 at around 1.3875-1.4volts. on air CPU Cooler, Cooler Master V8 GTS, this thing is great love it. MOBO, ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z, also love this peace, Ram, Mushkin Enhanced Redline 8GB (2 x 4GB) 2133Mhz, More great stuff here love it lol. GPU, 1, 7970Ghz Sapphire Vapor-X, again great and im loving it so far. here i do wanna crossfire, this is where the PSU comes in im thinking on newegg i can get the same card 7970Ghz for cheap and keep same looks but unsure of the refurbished cards. or i can just get a R9 280x and crossfire that way and its new. ????? right now im shooting for the 280x but kinda wanna get the same exact card for looks??? anyway. oh and i may OC the cards a little. HDD's, (1,WD-1TB-10k-RPM) (1, WD-3TB-green drive - may add another to it) (1, 1tb-segate something drive idk lo) um another super old hdd that still plugged in but not working should rid of that next time i open case.. oh ya also in a few years or soon i may add another hdd maybe 1, 3or 4tb maybe 2, lets say 2, 4tb for headroom i dont know how much watts hdds use up. SSD, 1, Corsair Neutron Series GTX 240GB, want to add another 240 or another 480 gb ssd soon. USB, other then that i have usb light up key bored and mouse um ps3 controller hooked up and i charge my phone on the pc too um and headset um ya. CASE, Rosewill BlackHawk-Ultra Full Tower has 8 fans 5, 140mm and 3, 230mm wanna add more fans one day or get water cooling loop one day, the tower is the :poop: if this was steam u would see that poop lol um i love this tower everything i ever wanted in it now over the last year or more i think i want to try a small tower out lol. PSU, oh ya ok and right now im using a old 2008 800watt PSU, for the 2 gpus like i said up there im worried about the PSU not Handling it to well. OK and for the part i talk of the PSU since this is the PSU area lol i would love for every one to recommend what you think is the best PSU out there for what i need like should i be getting a 1000watt or a 1200watt. also i want to be able to use this same PSU for the next 7+ years with maybe 2 gpus and all that crap in the future. also keeping in mine age degradation on the PSU, so um first off pls dont put it up cus of low price thats the very last thing i look at, also 80+ platnum would be nice but if there is a say just as good or if it can happen better one at 80+gold??? let me know this is the PSU im kinda sold on now after a while of looking EVGA SuperNOVA 1200 P2 power supply 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified iv been looking into the load thing 20%50%and 100%loads will my idle load be to low for this i would like to try if i can keep it efficient but still have head room for 7+years of age degradation and other stuff. refurbished GPU's if anyone has a link to make me feel better on buying refurbished that would be great or reasons i should not.....oooohhhhhh yaa edit lol 20 mins later, um iv been trying to learn blender stuff so my cpu and maybe gpu will be pegged at 100 from time to time. P.S. over all i love my pc tho at times i wish i could bring it to friends houses other then that its been doing me well AMD-2017 cant wait. MigM16 over and out
