I'm in the market for a new laptop, and I'm facing a common dilemma: should I opt for the 8GB or the 16GB RAM variant of the MSI GF63? I primarily use my laptop for web development. At the moment, 8GB of RAM seems sufficient for my needs. But my parents are urging me to go for the 16GB version. So, should I give in to the pressure? And if I choose 16GB, how straightforward is it to upgrade to two 16GB sticks, considering that the initial configuration has two 8GB sticks? Also will it work as laptop for sims4 with all the addons? So more DDR4 means more power for gaming, right? I have a PC that runs valorant at 50avg fps on low with the specs down below. I would want to record my gameplay but when I tried using lowkey.gg, it was a total flop. Only certain frames were recorded and only the audio was complete. What parts should I get to solve this? I am looking for budget parts at this time, ranging from about 50 dollars or so. when i try to run garry's mod there is only a 1 second screen pop ups and then it closes the game automatically is it the nvidia graphic driver problem? because it also happens with other programs as well my graphics card is nvidia geforce gt 710 please help me fix this problem i really want to play garry's mod after a long time. -
I downloaded samsung magician today so I could update my Samsung 870 EVO. I released about rapid mode and decided to turn it on. My results were unbelievable. My sequential write speed went from 273 mb/s to 1998 mb/s. The only issue I have with it is the I am unsure if rapid mode will use a lot of ram, since It does use ram to increase speeds. Is 8gb enough for rapid mode, or will it be too much of a hit to the amount of memory I have. Also I feel like this is important, I only use my SSD to store games. Benchmark results below:

Few months ago, I downloaded Fortnite on my PC, knowing it was a Minecraft Build and that it wasn’t very powerful, but I tried it. At first, everything looked okay, and better than I expected. 720p@60fps without any FPS drops Low Settings, except View Distance on Ultra It looked very promising! After the last update the game seemed slowed and it had horrible FPS drops it keeped jumping from 60 to 40 to 20 to 40 to 50 At this point, I had to set all settings to Low and to play on a horrible resolution of 360p to get 60fps so I did. Couple of days later, I noticed that the “Shared Memory” for my integrated graphics was 5GB, means that I was playing on 3GB of RAM this whole time, I kinda knew it, because even that the Radeon Vega 11 is a little bit weak, it is capable enough for Fortnite Low Settings Gaming. I went to the BIOS, and locked the Graphics Memory to 2GB rather than Auto, and when I logged in to Windows, it showed that I had 2GB Dedicated Graphics and 3GB Shared, but I don’t have any Dedicated Graphics, which meant I was still using 5GB of my RAM. So I locked it to the lowest setting (64MB) but Windows still gets 3GB of RAM. I want the graphics to only take 2GB, because I am sure I am memory bottlenecked. Is there any way to do this? I am going to upgrade my PC later by the end of this month, I just want to know if there is something that I can do now? guys pls help me as i am facing a problem on upgrading my ram on my mobo, my mobo's second ram slot dosent seem to work and my mobo is asus m4n68t-m le v2 which has a total 8gb ram capacity and i have a 4gb ram right now, i cant change the mobo cuz i dont have much money and these mobos arent available here, i just wanna know if i can replace the 4gb stick with a single 8gb stick on the working slot? thanks for reading

So I recently reinstalled Garry's Mod after not playing it for at least a year and I knew I could and can run it with absolutely no problems whatsoever. I installed it aaaaand nothing. I did some research and tried -dxlevel 81. Nothing. I also tried -dxlevel 90 and 95. I tried launching it in windowed mode, I heard a sound effect but stopped responding when I clicked the screen which was still black. I tried a couple other launch options for force loading and something else and nothing worked. I validated the local files and I reinstalled it. Nothing works and I REALLY want to play it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So its been months i'm trying different stuff to get Normal startup times but i'm not sure whats going on, startup is too slow. I'll try my best to explain my issue. My PC Bootup is fine but when it comes to desktop screen it takes ages to load stuff in the task bar and makes it very slow. I only have AVG running in the Startup, though disabled it to check whether if that was the reason but results are the same. This is the most annoying one. When i open any folder ( my computer, or any file explorer, any drive ) for the first time i Turn on my PC, my PC got stuck and i cant click on anything. The only thing that work in that scenario is Taskbar / Startup though if i click on any thing in the taskbar / startup, it does not open. The stuff i clicked during this stucked situation opened after my PC comes back in normal stage after 2-3 minutes. Now this thing only comes at first opening of any File Explorer or any drive, after that it come back to normal and does not occur again. I have a doubt that my HDD is dying or i'm not sure. You Guys can help me out with this My PC Specs and some required Screenshot ( Please ask any screenshot if required, i'll update the post with it ) OS: Windows 8.1 Pro ( up to date ) CPU: Xeon x5460 @ 4Ghz GPU: GTX 960 RAM: 8GB HDD: I have this Hard Disk Startup Screenshot Please let me know anything you like to ask about this so i can explain more better in order to get this issue solved. So a while back I built a budget pc but quite badly. I had paired a A10 7850k with an rx480 which was a huge bottleneck. I am going to sell the cpu, motherboard and ram (selling ram as it is ddr3) For roughly £200 (Buyers already lined up). I have done some more research and have looked at a i5 7500, 2x4GB ddr4 ram and an Asus prime B250m-a motherboard (Allows upgrades in future). Is this suitable for use with an RX480 4GB? I only have a budget of roughly £100 added onto the price I sell the other components for. ASUS PRIME B250M-A Motherboard

I am planning on building a PC this summer and the specs of it will be 8GB of RAM, RX 580 8GB, and the Ryzen 5 1500X. I was wondering how many fps I would get on games like Overwatch, Skyrim, and Ark Survival Evolved. I would also like to know the Cinebench and 3D mark scores. THANK YOU!

First time posting so I hope I chose the right place to put this question. My partner has an Asus UX32A Notebook with 6GB of ram and she want's to upgrade it instead of getting a new laptop because of sentimental value. Turns out getting consistent information on ram is hard, a lot of outdated or contradicting information out there. This far I've only concluded that if your computer uses SODIMM DDR3 you can't have more than a total of 8GB of ram. The problem is that 2GB of the current ram is prat of the motherboard. So what happens if I buy one stick of 8GB and put it in? Will it realize it has 8 and only use 8 fromt he same stick, will I have to disable the 2GB manually somehow, or will it just straight up not work? Also just so it has been stated; I'm also replacing her hardisk with an SSD, I know only changing 2GB of ram won't do much.

Hello, I have 2x 4GB DDR 4 Kingston Hyperx ram. every time i play a game gtaV or PUBG my game closes and i get a error windows is running low on memmory, i checked with taskmanager on my second screen and it said ram was 80% while i was playing pubg. So i ran the windows memory diagnostic and it was 100% complete with no errors found. all my temps are good. is my ram just broken or am i forgetting something? this started happening 1 week ago Sunday it was working fine Wednesday I was going to game again but it kept giving me this error. Also i don't get this error when playing CS:GO or Rust. I put the ram in different ram slots but my PC didn't boot so i put them back in 2 and 4.

Hello to everyone reading this post, so im choosing components for my first pc gaming set up and i was wondering if i would get good gaming performance with these specs: AMD A8-7670K MSI Nvidia GTX 1060 3GB Gaming X Edition 8 GB Kingston DDR3 RAM (2 x 4 Sticks) Gigabyte AMD F2A68HM-DS2H Micro-ATX FM2+ Socket Corsair 650W VS Series VS650 80 Plus White 1TB of Hard Drive Storage So im wondering a couple things: Is the power source fine or did i choose too much? Will i get good performance out of this build?( there is still a possibility to change that 1060 for a 1050Ti, if so, would the performance drop too much?) I would really appreciate your help! Hi, I am currently running a PC with 8gb of ddr4-3000 RAM, it is 1 stick of it, if i wanted to upgrade my ram to 16gb of DDR4 RAM do i just buy 1 stick of the same exact RAM and keep the old stick in my Motherboard too? Or do i have to buy 2 new sticks of 8gb RAM? Any help is greatly appreciated

So I have a pc and these are the specs of it https://www.cnet.com/products/hp-elite-7100-core-i5-750-2-66-ghz-monitor-none-series/ I have "overclocked" it to 3.2 ghz and added 4 more rams and put it a GTX 1050 my rams are all ddr3 I was wondering if I could add more rams in it by adding 1 stick of an 8gb ddr4 ram would it work ? and also its okay if the speed of the ddr4 ram goes down to 1333 instead of 1600 I was just wondering if it would work because I cant afford to spend on something that wouldn't work is there a way to know if they are "compatible" ? -
I do not know what happens to my computer in fortnite, the fps lower me up to 50 or lower in endgame with only 15 people and in creative it goes up to a maximum of 130 I do not know what it could be besides if I upload the graphics to epic the performance is almost equal to that played in low graphics also try with bo3 and it is the same 200 fps in low and 130 in ultra in no man's sky if there was a difference of 90 in epics to 140 in low but it is not the difference you expect for this graph and processor would expect at least get the 144 stable in fortnite which is why I mainly put it together i have a single slot of 8gb ram

Just upgrades my pc but i cant be satisfied with it, having different kind of problems everyday, bought this Sapphire rx 590 nitro+ 2days ago. First there was some drive issue, that's why still cant use msi , gpu-z sapphire trixx, this softwares isnt showing gpu temp/core clock,fan speed. and now/today bought another stick of 8gb ram, and they amd recommend me to install 18.12.2 driver,,but i already had this driver but still i installed the same driver. after some time maybe 1/2 hours later, everytime i try to open any games, the pc reboots, even something i quit the game the pc reboots, at first i thought the ram is faulty, then i unplug this new ram,,and tried with my old one but still pc rebooting, then i thought i has psu issue, even though this psu is new, bought it with me gpu. its thermaltake smart modular 630w, (i know this isn't the best) then i installed 18.12.3 driver optional one, and then tried to open games and close,,tried this more than 1 hour but then there was no random rebooting, So i'm not sure that gpu driver did that, or maybe it can ?
