This is my first time stepping out on my own in to the world of pc building but I have already had a pc I got an old hp elitedesk 800 g1 for free and it has a better cpu i5-4570 but that's about it while I have transplanted my old PCs gtx 1050, my ram and my hdd I am worried about the stability of it's old psu I attempted to swap my cooler master psu into this case but the connections were completely different I would be interested in finding out whether or not I can get a better psu for this system or if I should just work with what I have the current psu is a 240w max (also I am looking for suggestions as to how to increase airflow as this case has only two fans and no connectors or spaces for more I am up to the suggestion of where best to cut a hole)

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and building systems. After a ton of research I'm finally confident enough to have a go at building my first system - and I have managed to create a rough list of components that I will use. Now before I get shot down in flames...I am aware that the parts I have chosen are majoritively out of date. I'm not using this system for gaming, I just want a bespoke, budget, decent performing machine for my first build, with bang for buck being my highest priority. I have already got my CPU (a Xeon 5650) and my mobo (Asus Rampage III Extreme) and I have just ordered my case (an Aerocool Aero 800 Black). I was looking to use an NZXT Kraken X61 for my CPU cooling - however PC Part Picker is giving me a compatibility error for this combination. I am a bit confused as I have seen several reviews for my case stating that there is space in the roof of the case for an AIO radiator. My question really is - does anybody have any experience with this combination or any advice about compatibility with these components? I am also open to any other recommendations or advice regarding my first build - as some parts are still to be determined (HDD, SSD, GPU, PSU) Thanks, Matt

I want to get a new PC because my current one is a laptop running on integrated graphics and I want to be able to do things like Blender, UE4, and maybe some gaming occasionally. I do not plan on overclocking that is why I didn't choose a overclockable cpu or motherboard. I do not trust overclocking. Please let me know what you thing and any suggestions on making it better (Preferably none that will push it over $950). Thanks! https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4K4xwV

Hi guys, a friend of mine wants to change his pc and he would like to play games on it. The budget is 800$, but he needs to get everything with that money (monitor, keyboard ...) I need your help to find something good My idea at the moment is something like: Ryzen 5 1500/1500x i5 6500 (but with which cooler? Cheap air cooler?) MSI B350M PRO VDH Gigabyte LGA1151 Micro ATX DDR4 16GB DDR4, the most budget sticks MSI GTX 1060 6GB Possibly not an HDD, but I understand that the budget isn't so high NZXT S340 case (maybe not a good choice) or cheaper PSU? How many watts? Some Asus 1080p monitor And 30/40 bucks for a decent keyboard There is one problem in all this: wifi, do you guys know any good cheap motherboard with wifi? Any advice? Blue team or red team?

Hey! I am finally getting a complete rewrite on my setup. At the moment, I have a HP Pavilion p6-2341eo Desktop PC. specs: AMD A10-5700, 8GB RAM, 2TB HD, Radeon HD7660D + Radeon HD7570, Windows 10 When I bought it as new, even though I wanted to buy a custom, my mother would not allow me to do that. Who knows why. That was in 2012 for 600€. Now, it does not run Rust even for 15-FPS at the most shit settings. Well, at least those were the stats 4 months ago. I am actually studying to become a datanome, and I have been studying about these things, but I do not have the knowledge and experience with actually building a build that will use the most of it`s possible power. And I have no idea how to calculate if a specific CPU and GPU are bottlenecking eachother. SO, 800 € and around that. up to 900€ if it is worth it to stretch my budget there. Games I will play: (Rust, League of legends, GTA V, Battlefield 1) Also I will be animating, and drawing A LOT with my drawing tablet. Will be waiting for your helpful messages! :3

Hello, everyone, I need help with my ram compatibility, and I am currently using two 2GB DDR2 = 4GB on my current pc and my motherboard is an " Acer fmcp7am " it has 4 dual-channel I also have an extra two 1GB DDR2 pc2-6400u but when I placed these extra RAM my computer just beeps and it doesn't startup These two extra are from my other pc which got messed up when the power supply couldn't handle because of the GPU So I took these two extra and tried placing it on my current one. And basically, it just beeps and won't startup. I also placed it with the right slots. Yellow color slot 2GB ddr2 / Blue color slot 1GB ddr2 So I was wondering if these 1GB DDR2-6400u 800mhz are compatible with my current one or not? or maybe it got fried when my other pc got messed up? Do you think these 1Gb DDR2 ram compatible with my board? but it doesn't work because it's defective now? thanks. I uploaded some images so you'll get the idea, thanks.

SuspiciousBadger posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
I'm helping a colleague build a computer to play games with. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Dignitos/saved/gtHxGX EU PRICING: Totals to 822,29 euros. Any thoughts on my choice of parts? Seems to be the best I can get for his budget. -
Hello everyone, I am looking for some advise on a PC build with a MAX budget of $850.00. The system will mainly be used to Edit 4k Video in Adobe Premier Pro Editing Software, but I do not plan to game on this computer . The current components that I do have is a keyboard, mouse, and one monitor (Not a 4k monitor). I would really appreciate any recommendations you all may have on this subject. The max budget is $850 is because of a recent recommended that I found for editing that I will attach to this topic, But if there are cheeper options for the same or better performance you may know about please advise. Thank you for taking the time, and I look forward to hear from you all. http://a.co/4pNJ8jN

I need help putting together a good PC The major reason i want to upgrade is because of my CPU right now i am running a I3 530 as well as a ASUS DirectCU II R9 270X 2GB model i will need to upgrade my case and if necessary my GPU. I will be using my PC for 1080P gaming with one monitor. I do not need any peripherals or windows. and if possible i would enjoy having a black/blue build. the aim with this build is to be able to play higher end games at a reasonable FPS. Thanks for your help. For case wise im probably getting the Mastercase 5 other then that im free to anything.

I've been wanting to build a computer for a little over 3 months now but I never had a job to actually get one, so I've been looking around on mostly watching LinusTechTips on youtube for a lot of help, and although his videos are still very insightful, i'm still confused and a little overwhelmed. I wanted to build a computer for around 800-1000 Dollars (CAD). The budget I'm working with has also got to include a Windows 10 OS and other Pc essential components. I am building this pc for the use of Mostly gaming and Streaming and/or Uploading videos to youtube. The games that I mostly want to play are Cs;go, League of legends, and Overwatch, and possibly other games as intensive as Overwatch. I also do plan on upgrading parts in the near future, and possible overclocking. I plan on doing the overclocking in the future with a water cooling case that I found online and plan on building it around the white and blue color scheme.(The case will be attached to this post, specs of this case are here: http://www.gamerstorm.com/product/CASES/2016-03/1288_4802.shtml ) I also plan on using 2 monitors at first and possibly 3 in the future. Thank you so much for your time. Ps. This is my first time ever building a pc

My laptop is getting quite old and im looking for something that will run most anything i throw at it at respectable levels. Most of the time it wont be extremely punishing but once in a while I play more demanding games on my laptop so i want the power to be there if needed. My price range would be preferably around 800 but i think i could go around 1000 if I need to

Hi everyone in the world of LTT I was looking at building a budget PC for myself, I've read up on some benchmarks and saw that what I've chosen is pretty good in the price per performance category and I was wondering if I could get any feed back from anyone that has these components: Intel i5 4590 MSI GTX 960 (2gb version) HyperX Fury @ 1866 MHz ASRock Fatal1ty Z97 Killer Here's the link to the build on PCPartPicker: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/bYCqt6

What do you think about it? http://pcpartpicker.com/p/k9gbMp The budget is around 800€. Keep in mind im in Europe so the prices are messed up (that 700$ becomes a 830€ at the moment on Amazon). Feel free to correct it, comment and so on. PS: First build. Let me know if everything is compatible. I don't wanna trust too much the pcpartpicker auto-compatible-thingy. THANKYAW.
