Hey Guys I am a first time builder, but a long time watcher of the channel (so I have some sort of idea of how to build a pc, but no practical know how). I am looking to build a mainly gaming pc, that might also be able to do some light video editing and streaming. I would love to be able to shadow of the tomb raider and other AAA titles like that. My budget is around 800€ for the tower. I already have mouse, keyboard and a Asus VG258qr 24,5" 165 Hz G-Sync compatible monitor. I also have just bought a 1 tb ssd, so I don't need additional storage right now. Can you guys help me with the optimal setup within my pricerange?

Hi everyone, i need a pc for university (i'm studying chemistry at university in Italy) and i plan to use it also for gaming. I have a budget of 800-900€. This is my first time building a pc and i am absolutly not an expert so i have a LOT of question. The build i have come up so far is - ryzen 5 1600 (€147,49 on amazon.it) - a b350 motherboard for about €80 - stock amd cooler - 8 gb of ram (70-90€) - ssd 240gb + hd 1tb for about 50€ each one - power supply 50-60€ - gtx 1060 6gb (304€ on evga site) So my questions are 1) what is a good case for 50€ 2) what monitor is good for a 1060 6gb (60hz? 75hz? 144hz?) 3) what power supply do i need (wattage and 80+ bronze or not?, modular or not?) 4)are 8 gb of ram enough for now and can i upgrade them later, and what frequency do i need for ryzen 5 1600? 5) what is a good ryzen motherboard for about 80€ (I maybe decide to try some overclocking in future so i think a b350 is good right?) Thanks to everyone i know these are a lot of questione but i am very new to pc

Hi, I need laptop for college, for notes of course but also some gaming. I'm fine with 1080p medium details 30fp (but I don't mind getting more for reasonable price). But I am having hard time finding something that actually provides that. So far I found these two: 780€: Acer Aspire 5 A515-51G 820€ Acer Aspire 7 A715-71G

Hello guys, I've been using quite the old setup thus far for playing games and stuff and so I've been wanting to upgrade for some newer games and quicker reactions and I've wanted to know if I can reuse anything I have from my current system. At the moment I own an Acer Aspire M7720 with an Intel i7 920, an Nvidia GTX 260, a Western Digital Caviar GP SATA II 1TB, 6144 MB DDR3 Triple Channel 533.3 MHz and an Acer FX58M (Intel X58 rev 12) Motherboard with a LiteEON 450W PSU running Windows 7 Home Professional. Budget & Location My budget is about 700-800 € and I live in Germany, if necessary and very useful to my cause I'd be willing to pay up to a maximum of 1000€, but staying within the limit would be preferred Aim I will use it mainly for gaming and some easy work tasks, I might render a video every now and then, but my current setup is able to satisfy my needs even so that shouldn't be a problem in that regard. For games I'm looking mostly at relatively easy to run games like League and Overwatch although I would prefer relatively high settings. I'll also play games like the new Dishonored part, modded Skyrim, Titanfall and heavily modded Minecraft every now and then, but running those on like 4K ultra settings or any of those Shenanigans aren't required. I'd also like to start up my PC faster and run a little bit more smoothly so I wanna get an SSD for my OS also (don't think it would give too much of a performance improvements for the games, so keeping the hard drive for the other stuff wouldn't hurt me I'd say. Monitors Currently I'm running a single BenQ M2400HD LCD Monitor, but I'd like to keep myself open for a second possible monitor, more than that should not be necessary for me. Peripherals I already own a good mouse and keyboard (Logitech G700 and Ducky Shine 3), so the only things I'd need would be a Monitor if you'd urge me to get a new one and an operating system if I have to get a new Rig. Why are you upgrading? My main reason for upgrading is my GPU not supporting dx12 therefore not allowing me to play overwatch and after thinking about upgrading my Rig or getting a new one I really started noticing my current PC starting up quite slowly and not running most other games I play other than League and even League on higher settings not as smoothly as I'd like them too, so I decided it's time for probably a new setup as most components will probably not be usable but I'll let you surprise me Further I'd also kinda like to try myself at building a PC instead of just buying one, ah and further in terms of case and so on for me size doesn't really matter as I've got some space and don't really care about portability, although if it was to look very nice, a mini format might be better than standard size to support it on top of my desk instead of underneath ^^ Thanks for the help in advance and if there's anything else you'd need to know I'll be glad to answer. Best regards Moritz

1. Budget & Location I live in Germany so the currency would be € and I would preferably buy all my parts at this site: mindfactory.de . So that I would only need to pay shipping one time. Also when you buy after midnight you dont need to pay shipping on this site. My budget is like the title says up to 800€. I may could buy the HDD next month because I have an old one so if you could use the nearly 50€ more clever that would be ok I think. 2. Aim My aim is gaming. I would like to play games such as Fallout 4, Football Manager, CS:GO, The Witcher III, so about everything from new demanding titles aswell as old but gold games at the best quality I canafford with my budget. 3. Monitors I will use just one monitor which is 1440x900 but sometimes I connect my TV for watching Youtube or series but not really if I game. I may buy a new Monitor in the next year in which case I would use both Monitors. 4. Peripherals I dont need any peripherals and I have windows 7 pro already. 5. Why are you upgrading? I'm upgrading because my old old old computer which I bought 8 years ago as I was a kid, I'm 20 now, broke so I need a new one. 6. Others I cant overclock the cpu I chose but I dont know if I would if I could because I've never done it. My Build is nearly 50€ under the budget so feel free to add what you may think is better. PcPartPicker List: PCPartPicker part list: http://de.pcpartpicker.com/p/6MpL8d Price breakdown by merchant: http://de.pcpartpicker.com/p/6MpL8d/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor (€188.74 @ Mindfactory) Motherboard: ASRock H97 Anniversary ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (€75.70 @ Mindfactory) Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Red 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory (€43.48 @ Amazon Deutschland) Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (€71.96 @ Mindfactory) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (€54.50 @ Mindfactory) Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 380 4GB Video Card (€241.01 @ Mindfactory) Case: Antec GX500 ATX Mid Tower Case (€42.90 @ Caseking) Power Supply: Corsair CX 500W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply (€73.44 @ Mindfactory) Total: €791.73 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-12-16 22:57 CET+0100 The Total of PcPartPicker is wrong because it thinks that I must pay 7,50€ shipping per part but I would only need to pay it one time or never because of the midnight buy thing. So I made a screenshot of my shopping cart for the real price: It should be attached. I've been looking up many building guides and reviews because this will be my first build. Because of this I've tried to pick some parts by myself so you can help me to decide if I could be more cost effective. I just want to run down why I took the parts I took. GPU: The GPU was the first thing I decided to get because I saw a lot of builds in my price range with the r9 380 and also Linus used it in his holiday build thingy. Some took the 960 but the 380 has more power. My question is if it would be reasonable to get the 380x for about 15€ more? CPU: The 4460 was also in a lot of build in my price range and I really dont know much about processors so it would be nice to let me know if I could get something better for my money. Also I wanted to know if it would be clever to go the new skylark way. I think it was the 2600 or something like that? Mobo: For the Motherboard I really didnt know which one I should pick so feel free to suggest me another one but this one is cheap and I think everything I need. The 4460 can't be overclocked and I dont plan on running more than one gpu.For extra slots I maybe just need one PCI e x1 slot. I dont need any wifi stuff or something, just 2 6gb sata connections which would be the only 2 I need. Of course it should look good. Ram: I didnt really know which frequency to pick so I thought 1866 in the middle is a good choice. I decided for the hyperx just because of the looks. HDD: I just took the 1TB HDD on mindfactory with the best ratings. SSD: After a bit of research most people said that the samsung evo series would be one of the best ssd's so I took them. My question is if it would be better to get the 256GB version for just 15€ more. The problem is that I probably would not store anything but the OS on the SSD because I would be scared to slow it down or something so a little bit of input from you would be nice. PSU: I went with the corsair cx 500m because I wanted a semi modular psu to keep the price low. A non modular would be too ugly even if my case wouldn't have a window. But I think it's a good one because it is from corsair and because of the 80+ bronze thing. Case: The case is a really hard question for me. I really can't decide if I want the performance or the good look route. I would like to have a window like in the nzxt s340 which should be also very efficient in airflow.. But this would cut my budget much more than a cheap case and another problem that I have with the s340 is that it just has 2 pre installed exhaust fans an no intake. Your opinion on this? I've took the gx500 because it looked efficient because of the front and it has already 3 fans installed. But the looks arent that great and it has no side window. So could you suggest me a good cheap case for under 70€ which would fit in your build for me? I really like the mesh in the front where you can see the fans and the side window like in the s340. Also the cabel management options in the s340 are superb. It would be nice if you guys could help me to get the most out of my money and suggest what you would change in my build with an explanation of course. I am planning to buy either tomorrow saturday or monday. Because english isn't my main language I apologise for any mistakes I've made grammatically. If you have any further questions feel free to ask.

Hello, a friend of mine wants to upgrade to a tower for gaming. His Budget is 700€ to 800€ max but he has peripherals and a monitor (1920 x 1080)so won't need those . I'm in Germany so € He has no OS but i snuggest a win 7 for 20€ so that's part of the base cost. Its for gaming current titles but mustn't be the best of graphics. I have a parts list from a previous build but it's 100€ to expensive : http://de.pcpartpicker.com/p/F6gBWZ It will not run overclocked so maybe i can spear the cpu cooler and it doesn't need 8 gig of ram necessarily as it will be used just for gaming but i don't get below 800 € So if you have any ideas to reduce the cost i would be thankful Thank you in advance !

Hello Guys, I am looking to build myself a new rig, since my old one died on me. Budget & Location My budget is at 800€. I'm located in the North of Germany, www.caseking.de is a shop that I have used many times, however they don't always stock all the mainboards and graphics cards on the market. An alternative (oh, the Iron E) would be www.alternate.de or mindfactory.de Aim This rig will be used for a number of different things, which makes it so hard for me to choose the parts. It should be a quiet gaming rig, that is also capable of running rendering oriented (CAD) software like Solidworks (nothing too complex, I'm a student of Aerospace Engineering), but I would also like to be able to do video recording (Fraps) and editing (no SFX, just Sony Vegas) as a hobby. Another factor is that not all parts from my old PC are dead: -126GB SSD for the OS, -RAID 0 array of 3 1TB disks for games, -2TB drive for storage and -DVD drive survived, which I want to use in the new Build wherever possible in order to cut the cost. Monitor & Peripherals These do not have to be included in this budget. Currently I am using two 24" 1080p screens, however the idea of surround gaming sounds quite tempting to me. Also it looks awesome. So maybe a third monitor will join the group, although this will not be in the very near future. I grew up with PC containing Intel CPU's and nVidia GPU's so I'm a bit biased towards the blue and green. But does that really matter in this context? The current market situation with Haswell and the nVidia 700 series recently being released confuses me quite a bit. Is it worth going for the next generation? All in all I'm looking for recommendations for a quiet, yet small and easy to transport case, CPU, GPU, RAM, Mobo, PSU, case fans and CPU cooling solution. I'm unsure, if overclocking would give a viable performance increase in this case, but I am not afraid of doing so. I know, that I'm probably looking for a egg-laying-cowpigsheep, but if you guys could help me out, it would help a lot. Thanks in advance, ItsJustMidnight
