I have an "upgrade as budget allows" system that I use for work-from-home (database, spreadsheets), but also some hobby-level, 1080 video editing (Premiere, AfterEffects). Right now, the system is: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 ASUS TUF x570-Plus Crucial Ballistix 32Gb (4x8) 3600 XFX AMD RX 590 w/8GB Crucial P5 NVMe boot/app Crucial P5+ NVMe scratch/cache Seagate IronWolf Pro HDDs in RAID for bulk data storage I've got about $400 in my current budget and was thinking of a 6700XT w/12GB video card, but the new RX 7600 w/8GB has a very attractive price that'd leave me with money toward a planned CPU upgrade. As I understand it, video editing is sensitive to VRAM. So, would the 7600 that still only has 8GB make a noticeable difference? Will either card give significant enough results vs the RX 590? Will I see benefit in my use case with resizable BAR from a new video card? Or am I better off going 5800X3D first, since it should speed up my work, too?

So now AMD is making an ass of itself as well just like Nvidia just did, changing the embargo dates last minute and Steve from GN thought it was a sloppy mess but Im surprised he didn't see that actually... That part was a very clever move... They clearly waited specifically hear what Nvidia announced the 4060 non-Ti price as. Also the card only has 8GB of VRAM - from the company that is always generous with VRAM... What the Hell... I mean at least the performance is only supposed to compete with the 4060 Non-Ti do maybe 8GB is okay-ish down at this low performance level...? At least they made the right call last minute to drop the price down to $270. Thats extremely cheap for a modern GPU. So at least we have some sort of affordable option now... Even if its performance actually isn't very good... Barely beats the 6600 by less than 10%... Same as Nvidia Yesterday... What the hell is going on here? Why are next gen GPUs failing so hard at low-mid tier? AMD did so well with the flagship 7900-XTX besting the RTX 4080 for a lower price with the XT becoming decent value after the price dropped below $800. Then we have the amazing technical achievement that is the RTX 4090 and at least the 4080 has 16GB of VRAM which is appropriate. I feel bad for everyone who doesn't want to spend multiple thousands of dollars on a top-tier PC because it looks like you guys are just screwed in general now. Lets hope AMD at LEAST has 12GB in the 7600-XT and then 16GB in the 7700 and up. Like Steve said in his video - just wait for July, let these guys battle it out for a while.

Budget (including currency): ~1,20,000 INR Country: India Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly games like CSGO/CS2, Valorant, occassional AAA games too Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Just have the kc3000 ssd for now, going to buy the parts in the next 3 months trying to find the best deals. Currently have a 1080p 144hz monitor but might upgrade to 1440p 144hz (this is in distant future). Building a smallest possible air cooled build and have 2 options for the case Ghost s1 mkIII vs dan a4 h2o for the case Will be used primarily for gaming, no productivity task as such, some software development at most. Games that I play Valorant, CSGO/ CS2, very rarely AAA games but I do play them. Components: TYPE ITEM COMMENTS CPU Ryzen 5 7600 13600k is 146$ more here, mobo prices are similar. Also feels good for ITX heat management. CPU Cooler ThermalRight AXP90-X53 or AXP120-X63 or Depending on case choice chose this for dan, or l12s for ghost s1 (with bending), NH-L12S is much cheaper than NH-L12 ghost edition here. Motherboard MSI MPG B650I Edge WIFI Only am5 itx in my country Memory GSkill Trident Z5 Neo Rgb 32Gb(16Gbx2) Ddr5 6000Mhz Desktop Ram (F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR) Tested Latency 30-38-38-96 Have seen cases of XMP memory not working correctly and longer boot times. So just chose EXPO. Storage KC3000 1 TB Already have it. Video Card Powercolor radeon fighter rx 6700 xt Cheapest in my country and can fit ghost just fine, but I don't know if it's good or not. Case Lian Li A4-h2o or ghost s1 mkIII Since I wanted air cooling only, confused between these 2. Any suggestions are welcomed. (Both are similarly priced here) Power supply Silverstone SFX SX700-G 700W or Cooler Master V750 Gold Full Modular or Cooler Master V850 SFX Gold SMPS Don't want to skimp on this so pls let me know the best one. Silverstone is like 20$ cheaper than v750. 10$ diff between v750 and v850. Link to build on on an website similar to pcpartpicker for my country. You can use it search for other parts and suggest them as well. https://pcpricetracker.in/b/s/1053c0d9-788f-40d7-a1e4-e2a729f9f3c0 GPU and CPU cooler not available on this link. Reasoning to choose Ghost and dan a4 h2o - need the smallest possible volume to carry around, since I don't want AIO or water cooling was choosing ghost s1 for the smaller volume, feels like wasting volume on dan without an AIO. Both case prices are same in my country so that's a bonus. Limitation of ghost s1 that is the 2 slot graphics cards- since I just play competitive games mostly figured I won't be using higher powered GPUs anytime soon. Hoping this build will last me for 3 years at least and there will be a 2 slot option then or else will get a new case if need be (or just open on side panel while on my desk and have no restriction). Still if you feel A4 will be better than ghost then please let me know. Thankyou so much.

Budget (including currency): 900-1300 EUR Country: Mostly Netherlands and a bit Portugal Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 1080p 60FPS gaming, mostly emulation via Yuzu and maybe GTAV. Also Youtube videos Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I already have the monitor, mouse, keyboard and maybe speakers. Hello everyone! This is going to be my very first PC build and I am looking for opinions on it. I have 3 builds in mind (all Dutch prices): AMD Ryzen 5 5600X build (total 956 EUR with my calculations): https://nl.pcpartpicker.com/list/ZJdmjZ Intel i5-12400F build (total 1004 EUR with my calculations): https://nl.pcpartpicker.com/list/7hXvFg AMD Ryzen 5 7600X build (total 1194 EUR with my calculations): https://nl.pcpartpicker.com/list/hsQqJM I would like this setup to last me 4-5 years if possible. I find AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D quite expensive and overpowerd for my build, as well as the new 13th gen Intel CPUs. I want to restrict to 1080p 60FPS gaming because that fits me. For 5600X and 12400F builds I plan to use the provided coolers. The 7600X build is more future proof and it already includes DDR5 which would be better to upgrade (probabably the CPU socket can be reused in 4-5 years), but I have to pay about 200-250 EUR more and it doesn't include PCIe gen 5 I need a motherboard with WiFi due to my house circunstances. I prefer a 80 Plus Gold PSU due to the current energy prices in Europe Meanwhile I am minimalist and I can live without RGB, and I don't need many USB ports The RX 6650 XT graphics card is great for 1080p 60FPS gaming and it has the best price I could find. 1TB SSD storage is enough for me. 16GB memory seams reasonable for the next few years. From the partpicker website, it seems the Thermaltake Toughpower GX1 600W PSU is missing a connector to the motherboard in the i5-12400F and 7600X builds. Will it be fine? Is the cooler for 7600X good enough? For the 7600X build is it worth to switch the motherboard to ASUS TUF Gaming B650M-PLUS WIFI (maybe better sound quality)? Which build would you guys pick and why? Is there anything I should change? Should I add more fans? Are the coolers fine (I don't have much experience on these)? Is 600W too much? Should I downgrade the PSU and make less future proof? CPU choices and GPU fine? There are many motherboard combinations. For the i5-12400F build the motherboard is sligthly more expensive because it has better sound from what I heard. The 5600X build uses B550-PLUS and i5-12400F uses B660M-Plus just because of the prices Thank you everyone!

Hey Everyone! Its my second post here, and as per all your suggestions i am finally upgrading from Sandy Bridge i5 2500 to Kaby Lake i5 7600. I would mostly use this build for mild gaming and editing purposes so I would appreciate some feedback as this is my first build and I have almost no idea what I'm doing. I tried to look at several guides and recommendations but I have no knowledge in building PC so, please, correct everything that seems wrong/overpriced to you.Location & Budget:I am from India & My budget is $1,500 i.e. 1 lakh Indian Rupees CPU: Intel Core i5-7600 Kaby Lake Quad-Core 3.5 GHz CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212X Motherboard: ASUS MOTHERBOARD ROG STRIX B250F GAMINGMemory: CORSAIR DESKTOP RAM VENGEANCE - 16GB (8GBx2) DDR4 DRAM 2666MHZ RED LEDVideo Card: ASUS GRAPHICS CARD PASCAL SERIES - GTX 1060 3GB GDDR5 OC DUAL EDITIONCase: LIAN LI LANCOOL DRAGON LORD PC-K62R2 REDPower Supply: CORSAIR HXi HX750i 750W 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full ModularMonitor: Asus MX239H 23 inchOS: Windows 10 Home 64bitI already own:Storage: Samsung 840 EVO-Series 1200GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Storage: Segate 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Secondary Monitor: Lg E2041 From my old systemHoping for some good suggestions. Hello, Soon, I will be building my first pc, and I've mostly decided on what I want, except for the CPU. I aim to spend $900-1100 USD on the entire build, and it will be primarily for gaming and other basic applications. I currently have one 1080p monitor but I plan to add a second one in the future (idk if this affects performance). Performance/Price is a bit more important to me than raw performance, also. My main question is: Is it dumb to pair an RX 470 8GB with an i7 7700? Will I get any benefit from a 7700 over a 7600 with that GPU? If you have other suggestions or if I've made a glaring mistake, I'd appreciate it if you could let me know about that, too. I want the cpu/mobo to last me at least 4 years. I'd be likely to upgrade the GPU in the future but not the CPU until I absolutely have to, that's why I feel that the cpu is the hardest component to decide on. i7-7700: $1047: i5-7600k: $1031: i5-7600: $956: One more thing to note is that I would wait to see how promising the lower end ryzen chips look before pulling the trigger on an intel build.

So I'm in the middle of changing som hardware on my PC and I've come up with 2 solutions 1. Intel® LGA1151 Core i7-6700K, ASUS Z170 PRO GAMING, Socket-1151, Kingston ValueRam DDR4 2133MHz 16GB vs 2. Intel Core i5-7600K Kaby Lake Processor, ASUS ROG Strix Z270F Gaming, Socket-1151, Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000MHz 16GB The computer is mainly used for gaming, programming, and video editing. If somebody can help me choose whatever is better it would be a great help -kind regards Gabba

So I was thinking about changing my old i5 4460 3.2 GHz CPU out with an i5 7600k or perhaps a 6600k. The problem is that I don't know if it's worth it? I mainly use the computer for games and from time to time editing photos so I don't know if it's worth it. Kind regards Gabba

Which CPU is better? The FX 6300 or the i5 7600?

Hey guys I've found a old graphics card from my first build and wanted to try out if some games will still work on it, but I'm yet having a problem at setting the resolution of my display. I can't even set it on 1280*1024. It stucks at 1024*768. Can you tell me how to change it to 1280*1024? I plugged in a old monitor with 1280*1024, the same I used those days. Thanks in advance.

So i currently have an i5 7600 on a b250m-a motherboard, but would the motherboard be good enough for a i7 7700k? I wont be overclocking obviously.

Hi, I'm planning to build a new gaming pc for myself, and I'm struggling to decide whether I should choose the 7400 or 7600. Here's my new PC Build CPU: Intel Core i5-7400/7600 GPU: ASUS GAMING STRIX OC GTX 1050 Ti 4GB GDDR5 Ram: Corsair Vengance 8GB (2x4GB) 2133MHz DDR4 Motherboard: Asus H110M-D PSU: Corsair 500W 80 Plus HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 7200RPM 64MB SSD: Corsair Force MP500 240GB M.2 Case: Corsair Carbide Series 270R Mid-Tower Case (Windowed) Fans: 4x Corsair 140mm Red LED fans I have seen a lot of comparison videos on Youtube between the two cpus. The gaming difference is 7-10% difference in total 10 games. The price of the 7400 is around $50 cheaper than the 7600, in Vietnam. I don't know if it's worth the $50. Please help me out! Thank you!

Hello everyone! I currently own a FM2-A55M-E33 with an a8 7600 processor and a MSI r9 270x GPU. Additionally, I have a Hyper TX3 EVO cooler for my CPU. My simple question is; would it be wise to upgrade to a Amd athlon x4 860k? The performance increase is about 10% for €75,-, which sounds great. Additionally, I could also save this money and invest it in my next build. However, I don't know when I'll build the next one. Please help me decide.

Hello, I'm trying to build a gaming 1080p 60 fps PC, i currently own 8GB 1600Mhz ram (1x4Gb Kingstone cl10, 2x2Gb Corsair cl10 - both are used but work properly). and transcend 256 GB SSD. i found an AMD 7600 CPU bundled with a Gigabyte GAF2A88XMD3H board for a 100$ which i think of buying for my build... i'm planning to get a decent PSU and GTX 970 with the rest of the budget.. my questions are: 1) knowing the memory is a bit old and probably need changing in the future, will the CPU bottleneck the graphics card? 2) do you think i should get a different CPU or\and board? The goal is to spend as little as possible, and get high settings and high as possible FPS... I'm from Israel so the prices are different, any but any suggestions will be considered! Thank you!

So I saw these comments on Anandtech's review of 7850k, an thought wow that'd be one interesting motherboard if it was pulled off right. any thoughts??? The second person brought up the obvious but if they made it work who would buy this? Would it be worth it? how would you think it would run? I'm just looking to make conversation tbh. Article: http://www.anandtech.com/show/7677/amd-kaveri-review-a8-7600-a10-7850k/9 Comments: MaRao - Thursday, January 16, 2014 - linkInstead AMD should create new chipsets with dual AMU sockets. Two A8-7600 APUs can give tremendous CPU and GPU performance, yet maintaining 90-100W power usage.REPLY PatHeist - Thursday, February 13, 2014 - linkMaking dual socket boards scale well is tremendously complex. You also need to increase things like the CPU cache by a lot. Not to mention that performance would tend to scale very badly with the additional CPU cores for things like gaming.
