I currently have an ancient Panasonic Lumix TZ10. In the family we also have a Nikon D5200 with an 18 - 55mm kit lens. I can usually take this away with me when / if I go away for a day or two, however I'm about to go on an 8 week trip over to the US and so I don't really want to borrow someone else's camera for that length of time. I had ordered a DJI Mavic Pro from Jessops (here in the UK) on finance, however I have since managed to purchase one from a different retailer. Jessops have told me that I can either cancel the finance, or use different a item/s in it's place. So I've been thinking of using the outstanding finance to purchase a new camera for myself. I usually use my TZ10 when attending shows (sports and otherwise) and concerts, as it's got a decent zoom, it's small and compact. I usually take the D5200 when going practically anywhere else, as the quality is far superior in all aspects. I've just never attempted to take a DSLR into a concert / show because I've read about the unlikelihood of being allowed to take them in. So I would like a small compact camera, good in low light, good with fast action, good zoom, whilst obviously also high quality. Portability is also big factor to take into consideration because we are going to be travelling, with that a flip-out screen would be handy but I suppose not a necessity. Video recording is something I also want to be able to do well. However I also would like the sheer quality that comes from a DSLR, it's versatility; ability to use external microphones, video recording (again), landscape photography, timelapse, etc. I'd love for this to have a better zoom than the D5200 we already have, and that brings me to the point, that if I was to get a camera of my own I'd probably like to get one that's better than the D5200. Don't really see the point in getting two of the same camera. So after days and days of research and working myself up, I had come to the conclusion it was between these cameras: Canon EOS 750D (T6I) with a 18 - 135mm IS STM lens at £799.00: http://www.jessops.com/online.store/categories/products/canon/eos-750d-digital-slr-18-135mm-is-stm-lens-95334/show.html Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II at £549.00: http://www.jessops.com/online.store/categories/products/canon/powershot-g7-x-mark-ii-digital-camera-97892/show.html I had also noticed / was considering: Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ100 at £549.00: http://www.jessops.com/online.store/categories/products/panasonic/lumix-dmc-tz100-camera-in-black-97614/show.html Panasonic Lumix DMC- FZ1000 at £589.00: http://www.jessops.com/online.store/categories/products/panasonic/lumix-dmc-fz1000-digital-bridge-camera-93162/show.html Canon PowerShot G5 X at £613.00: http://www.jessops.com/online.store/categories/products/canon/powershot-g5-x-compact-camera-97413/show.html Nikon D7100 with 18-105mm lens at £899.00: http://www.jessops.com/online.store/categories/products/nikon/d7100-digital-slr-with-18-105mm-lens-88945/show.html Now my drone was £1359, so I've got that amount to play with. With that amount I could indeed purchase both the 750D & the G7 X but then I wouldn't be able to purchase any accessories to go with the cameras which would be a basic necessity, such as a camera bag, SD cards, an SLR Gorillapod, a Rode mic, a deadcat, etc. I can go slightly over and pay in cash, but I don't really want to go much over if at all. I also can't purchase from any other stores other than Jessops.com, or at least that's the only place I can use to fulfill my finance allowance. I can't decide which route to take, which camera or cameras to get, if they're even the best deals I can get, are they the best fit for purpose. I know a little bit about photography, video editting and cameras but not enough to make an informed decision. I've already got a Go Pro Hero 5 Black, as well as my Mavic Pro, a OnePlus 3T (which my girlfriend thinks I should use instead of a compact camera, and I'm slightly kiiind-of inclined to agree), and ideally I'd love to have both a compact and a DSLR camera but I just need some help figuring out what on earth to do in this situation and I do need to make a decision in the next few days as I set off in a couple of weeks. Please help?!

I'm planning my first build, and I'm budgeting about $2k(in USD for those of you outside the US). Im wanting it to be a black and red color scheme. Im not too big on the whole RGB or tempered glass thing. Nothing against them, they just don't get very high on my want list. I'm wanting to use the Alphacool Eisbaer 360 (3x120 aio), so 360 rad support is one of the BIG checks on my list. I'm also looking for outstanding airflow, a side panel window, ATX motherboard support, and atleast 2 2.5" and 2 3.5" hard drive bays. I've looked at the Corsair 750D Airflow Edition and the Cougar Panzer Max, though I'm open to the opinions of others. If anyone has any recommendations, I'd be more then happy to look into them.

So, my system build that will begin in 2 weeks will have one 525gb ssd as my C:\ drive and one 1-2tb HDD, I would like to eliminate my HDD cages. I am wondering if 2.5" HDDs will fit in the tool less ssd holders inside my Corsair Obsidian 750D. I don't want to buy one to try, because if they don't, I won't be using 2.5" drives. Thank you.

Hello World! Straight to the point. I've been doing A LOT of research and I've been looking around for "the best" Z270 motherboard, suiting my needs (since I am not a fan of the ''overkill''). Right now I am stuck between 9 motherboards and desperately need personal opinions from you guys. What I am trying to build: Gaming/Developing rig (WEB and C++) and kind of "futureproof"; What I got so far: Case: Corsair 750D (already bought) Am I going to overclock?: In the beginning No, but in near future - Maybe. Am I going to make a custom watercooling loop: Depends if I will overlock. What are my plans for future: dual nVidia SLI; M.2 slot occupation; more than 1 SSD; The mobo list sort by average price [lowest to highest]: ASUS Prime Z270-A ASUS Strix Z270E Gaming AsRock Z270 Taichi ASUS TUF Z270 MARK 1 Gigabyte Aorus Z270X-Gaming 7 MSI Z270 Gaming M7 ASUS Maximus IX Code AsRock Fatal1ty Z270 Professional Gaming i7 MSI Z270 XPower Gaming Titanium or you can check them here: Hardware.info ADLER mobo lis What do you guys think? NOTE: Price is a factor (I am looking for the "golden middle"). I am open to anykind of advices and critics. Thank you!

Hello all, I'm looking to change my current case. I am rocking a HAF-X, which is a beast of a case and provides adequate cooling for my components. I've not yet made up my mind if I'd rather downsize, or move to something more minimalist but still full tower. Here is my current build (So that recommendations are within spec for my components): CPU: Intel - Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor CPU Cooler: Noctua - NH-D14 65.0 CFM CPU Cooler Motherboard: ASRock - Z97 EXTREME6 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory X2 (16GB total) Storage: Samsung - 840 EVO 1TB 2.5" Solid State Drive Storage: Western Digital - Black 6TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: EVGA - GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB Superclocked+ ACX 2.0+ Video Card Case: Cooler Master - HAF X ATX Full Tower Case Power Supply: SeaSonic - Platinum 1000W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply Optical Drive: LG - WH14NS40 Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer Fan Controller: NZXT - Sentry Mix 2 Fan Controller As the title suggests, I'm being very picky about my case selection. My HAF-X currently sits on my desk behind my monitors and I am going to be putting the new case there as well. I have ample room to do so. I have a few requirements for the case that I'm looking for, and I can't seem to find a case that quite meets all of them. I've checked out about 20+ cases, read reviews, watched YouTube videos of people building in them, etc. I still can't find one that really fits my style. Case Requirements: Full size panel window (no fan/cutout etc. just clear plastic or tempered glass) At least two 5.25 bays PSU shroud Some modularity with the HDD mounting Dust filters (that are easy to remove and clean without having to take the case apart) Good amount of I/O on the front Clean/Minimal looking (HAF-X is the exact opposite of this) So far I have seen 2 cases that ALMOST meet what I am looking for. Fractal Design Focus G (Which NONE of the large tech tubers have reviewed ) Corsair 750D Airflow Edition Here are what they are lacking: Focus G Not much I/O No PSU Shroud No cutout grommets Not the best for stuffing cables (even though I do have a modular PSU) HDD Cage just seems to chill in the middle, not symmetric Obsidian 750D No PSU Shroud Case is wide, so when the 5.25 bays are populated, it ruins the symmetry Bottom fan mounts seem more like dust intakes to me (I don't plan on populating them with fans, could be covered up I suppose) HDD Cage fits 3 3.25 drives (I feel like it would look like crap without populating all 3 slots, small gripe) Back area is completely visible on the right side below the 5.25 bays If you have any recommendations, please leave them below. I'm almost sold on the 750D... If I go that route, I'll have to learn how to make a PSU shroud.

PC for Machine learning with 4 RTX 2080
JakePeralta posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hello! I am looking forward to buying a PC for machine learning. I am going to use 4 cards of RTX 2080. I think about getting the Threadripper 2950x, will it do the job with it (without bottlenecking?) and Will the corsair 750D be good enough to hold them (without them overheating too much?) etc. This was my general idea, please give feedback: CPU: Threadripper 2950x GPUs: x4 RTX 2080 RAM: 64GB ddr4 MotherBoard: Gigabyte Designare SSD: samsung 500GB 970 EVO m.2 NVMe Case: corsair Obsidian Series® 750D PSU: corsair 1600w water cooling: enermax Liqtech-TR4 II 360mm Thanks for helping!- 2 replies

I'm currently a senior at university studying geophysics and oceanography. I do work in GIS, numerical modelling, satellite data analysis, and rudimentary data science programs (RStudio/MATLAB). I also would like to be able to set up a DAC for recording/music editing (I already have a DAC w an XLR input) as well as gaming with my friends from back home. Three of my roommates are big PC enthusiasts who have built multiple PC's before and have agreed to help me w a build and as such I would like to get more into computers while also making one such that I will not need to build/buy another until for a while. Currently I have: a used Corsair 750D 3-4 140mm fans Assorted HDD's from older computers an Optical Drive 5.25' and a multi-card reader 5.25' I plan on getting: Motherboard: ASUS Z390-E CPU: Intel i7 9700k CPU Fan: Corsair H110i (or comprable) GPU: No Idea RAM: 32 GB DDR4 (GIS uses a metric s**tload of RAM) PSU: 450-650W Unit? 1. What GPU should I use? (I can upgrade the GPU later down the road) 2. What is appropriate for PSU wattage? 3. I was curious about running a push-pull setup with the Corsair H110i as a top exhaust. 4. Do I need a sound card for the DAC to run into? I'm sure I'll have other questions. Best Regards

Hi guys, I've been planning to get into photography for a long while and planning to get into videography down the line. Unfortunately, I don't have any knowledge of what to look at and to consider on choosing a good camera. I've put a poll on the cameras that I'm considering based on some random websites and my budget. It would help a lot to know the reason why you picked the camera in the list. It would help if somebody can suggest or tell me a comprehensive comparison between the choices. Any suggestions and advice would help a lot!

I'm fairly new to watercooling and this will be my first custom loop. I want to keep my 4790k and gtx1070 in the low 30s at idle and low to mid 60s at load. I do plan on overclocking the 4790k to 4.7ghz maybe 4.8 and will also be overclocking the 1070. I really want this to be a silent build so I got the quiet sp120s and the PR22-D5 for its speed adjuster. If any of you have recommendations on how I should mount things in the loop please let me know because I want to to look nice too, I'm thinking about getting a separate pump/reservoir so I can put the res more on display. Thanks! Below is how I'm thinking of setting it up

How bad of a response can you get ... Corsair's Customer Support Response: They design a case and then don't have a clue what they have designed.

What would be the optimal route to go with my fans??? Right now I have stock case fans, an Enermax liqtech 240 w/ high pressure fans, and the Fury X rad and fan. The enermax rad has 2 of my 3 exhaust fans, with one exhaust fan at the back of the case. At the front I have the Fury X mounted inside, and 2 stock case fans for the intake. Ive ordered 5 Noctua NF-A14 (2000 rpm) and I cant figure out how I would get optimal cooling with these components. PLEASE HELP. ITS IRRITATING ME.

Hey guys, I've got a question concerning the radiator placement in the Corsair 750d case. I'm building a pc with the Hydro H115i AiO cooler and I don't know where to place the rad. There is place in the front of the case or at the top, also with configuration is best? Push/pull? Should I have it as an intake or exhaust? So far I've thought about having the rad at the top with a pull configuration as an intake? - then I'll have the dual 140mm front fans as intake aswell as the top fans so the rad gets fresh air. - But that would also leave the case with only one exhaust at the back (140mm). But to take into consideration... the case is pretty large so perhaps extra positive flow is a good thing? I don't know.. Anyways thx!

Hi guys, I do not have much knowledge on cameras or lenses. I usually loan cameras. However my accountant told me to buy one. I need advice on Lenses to purchase. I need an all purpose videography setup. I shoot small action adverts, cinematics, documentary vloggy things for private clients/Youtubers. Scenes are outside and inside. All over europe. One day I may be set up in a studio, tripod. The following in paris with a stable mount filming a workout video in the streets. Usually loan a 70D/A7S, they come with great lenses that are worth more than my budget, Soft bokeh, focus pulls etc... Which I still need to achieve. My budget is around £1000 don't going over a little. I have narrowed my search down to the Canon 750D. Amazon do kits. Kit 1: Canon 750D with 18-55mm IS STM and EF 50mm 1.8 STM Kit 2: Canon 750D with 18-135mm I was told the 18-135mm is great for photography but shit for videography(camera salesman) don't trust his opinion. I am open to all options. Excuse my ignorance. Thank you in advance. Links to the kits: Kit 1 Kit 2

I am looking to build a pc in the Corsair 750D case and was curious if anyone knew what size top radiator was supported? Their website doesn't specify the top size, but instead all radiator support which isn't helpful.

So I'm building my first rig ever and have been planning this one for months, doing a lot of reading/watching and have finally mostly decided on the parts. Firstly let's get the post guide out of the way. 1. Budget & Location Location is Pakistan, but I will be getting most of the parts from the US, probably ordering from Amazon. Big parts like the chasis will be bought in Pakistan however. Budget is 2000$ well it's 2500$ but 500 go into a solid UPS backup. 2. Aim Gaming, Graphic Design work, Development work (This includes running VM's etc for testing) 3. Monitors Currently Just 1 Monitor at the standard 1080p 144hz. Plan to upgrade in the future to multiple monitors. 4. Peripherals Already have Keyboard/mouse as well as speakers, will be buying Win 10 Pro. 5. Why are you upgrading? Not upgrading but building my first PC because I'm tired of laptops garbage performance This is my current build. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/RKDnpb The build is totaling up to about 1800$ without a monitor so price wise this is pretty much in line with what I want. Now down to the issue I'm having. First I'm struggling to choose between the 750D AirFlow and the Air 540. Due to the fact that I have to buy the case in Pakistan I'm pretty much restricted to these cases. However feel free to suggest other options from major manufacturers and I'll check on their availability. Secondly I'm worried about the Cooler, the NH-D15 is huge and I cannot figure out how restricting it will be. The Noctua site states it's compatible with the Maximus VIII Hero and the general opinion of people I found on the internet is that it will fit both the Air 540 and the 750D. But the Issue is the Ram clearance, I have absolutely no clue if my GSkillz RipJaws V will fit under the cooler. If I either have to remove one fan or move it further up, will the cooler then fit the case? I want this cooler because firstly I don't want liquid cooling and because I really want good cooling. where I live temp go upto 50 Degrees Celsius in the summer. I would obviously be putting this into an Air conditioned room but still pointless to cheap out on such an important aspect of the build. These questions are some that I'm trying to find answers to but struggling quite severely. Also just as a note I'll probably be purchasing these parts late November[looking for deals] as I can only get them in December so pointless to purchase before that. I know that a long way to go but I'm super excited and have spent countless hours watching and reading content regarding the build or just general putting a PC together. Really hoping you guys can be of some help.

My Targaryen-themed Corsair 750D build: CPU: 5930K @4.5GHz cooled with an Swiftech H240 X2 Mobo: Asus X99-A RAM: 32GB of GSkill DDR4 SSDs: 500GB Samsung 850 EVO (OS and apps) and 3x 300GB Intel 320s in RAID-0 (game drive) HDD: 4TB WD Red (behind mobo tray) Video cards: SLI MSI 980TIs: the top is a Gaming G6 with Corsair H90 liquid cooler and the bottom is a Lightning (obviously) PSU: Corsair AX1200i The front is a fade, painted with red plasti dip. I have some more touches to add to the outside, and then the interior is next, cables and such.
