Hey LTT, after messing around in YouTube late last night I came across Luke's review of the Air 740. I at first thought it was a joke cause I had never heard of it before, but after looking it up it's a real thing (lol who woulda guessed). I looked online and through the forums and found nothing on it's release date. I would love to get my hands on one. Any one have an idea on its release date? Thanks

Hey I want to move my hardware into a different case and ever since noticing the Corsair 740, I really like that one. Will the component fan combination fit though? I'd like to put a Corsair H100i v2 into the top section of the case and use two Noctua NF-F12s in push. I also want to put my EVGA 1080 FTW Hybrid's radiator with two NF-F12s in push pull in the front for intake. Since the rad is supposed to be above the GPU, I'd ike to use the top fan position for that, then fill the rest of the two slots below with other fans I have lying around, probably NB eLoop B12-2. Will that fit though? I'm afraid the second (pull) fan on the Hybrid radiator will impact the H100i v2. What about the tubing orientation of the H100i? Right is likely to run into the second fan. Will left get in the way of the exhaust fan? I figured I'd throw the included two 140mm from the front into the bottom and use them as intake as well. Sadly Corsair neglected to put in a filter for that. All I found was one by Demciflex for 280x140mm rads - well that size seemed to fit best. Can anybody recommend it?

I recently purchased the corsair air 740 and I am loving it, it is by far my favourite case to date (as I have previously had low-quality cases) however after recently purchasing new fans i have noticed that they are running at max RMP all the time, my MOBO only has 1 fan header and thus I need a fan controller, however I can't seem to find where on the case I am able to mount one?? any help is appreciated

Traded a Xbox for this Dell as I wanted a computer. I was younger then and thought it was a good trade. Got home plugged it in and found it to be slow and laggy. Now im older and want to put it to good use. I find it to have 100% disc usage with 2 or 3 mb of data used. I tried every thing and it is still so slow. Takes minutes to go into task manager. Any help is appreciated.

So I bought a PC about two weeks ago and it's been pretty good, BUT when I tried to install Just Cause 2 when I checked if I wanted DirectX to be installed and I press NEXT, it shows me an error that says: "Unable to execute file: D:\Just Cause 2\3rd\DirectX\DXSETUP.exe CreateProcess failed; code 740. The requested operation requires elevation." I thought this was just because there was something wrong with the game so I just shrugged it off as if it was nothing to worry about. But NOW I was trying to install Mafia 2 and the exact same thing happens. I have googled about this problem but all I could find was people saying that I should just run the program as an administrator, but that doesn't work, at least not for me. So please if anyone can help me with this I'll really appreciate it, because I'm losing my mind with this BS.

Hey guys, I currently have a GT 740 (will be getting the r9 380) for now. Some reason after some time of light web browsing and being on steam my furmark score goes from 25 FPS to 12 and all my games start slowing down. Booting the pc normally does not help. I need to force shut it off and then reboot it. Any help thanks guys?

Hi guys, I'm new here so what's up? I've always been into computers since I was a little boy, but it really, like, power kicked me just recently. First of all I'll tell you some stuff about me. i'm 24, born and living in Argentina. If you heard crappy stuff about my country on tv or something I'm sure It's probably not true, but I'm open to talk about that if you may want, though that's not today's topic here. If my english is somewhat weird it's couse it's not my mother language, just so you know. Now, going to the topic at hand. I started watching Linus' videos and others such as those on youtube when I desided to upgrade my 6 year old q6600. I'm an Industrial Designer now, so I wanted some better machine to 3D render, though I would never forget about gaming on this rig. I didn't have all the money to upgrade just now to the exact stuff that I wanted, hence the topic of this video: I still have the EVGA gt 740 that I bought last year on an emergency when my old 9800gt stopped working. My hole system, at this point, is as follows: Gigabyte z97-hd3 motherboard. Intel Core i7-4790k processor running at stock speed with a stock cooler. Hyper-X Beast 2x4GB ram, at 2133mhz EVGA gt 740 FTW 2GB GDDR5 5000mhz graphics card running factory OC at 1202mhz on the GPU and 1200mhz on the memory buffer Power cooler 500w power suply, to be replaced as soon as I get my hands on some money. WD green 1TB hard drive NZXT Phantom 410 midtower case with 3 120mm stock fans, on front, top and back. My motherboard doesn't have support for SLI but that's quite ok, as I'm never to either have or use a 2-way config. My processor had to be the best I could afford so I can 3D render as fast as possible and that's tha main reason I couldn't afford the hole computer. I'm going to get a water cooling unit later, so I can overclock it, but it rocks as of now. About the graphics card, I'm going to buy a gtx 970 in the future, but the thing is that first I want to upgrade sort of everything else. First obviously the PSU, followed by getting an SSD and the water cooler aforementioned. Only after that if I have the money will I get the 970. I never overclocked a gpu ever before, so I didn't know what to expect. I wasn't able to find any configuration with the same EVGA card, though I did found some on other after market ones. I ended up leaving it with a config that I found online, setting the GPU at 1280mhz and the memory at 1300mhz. I tried ramping up the memory some more, and didn't see anything weird on the Heaven benchmark, but as I never did this, I chickened out and it stays for now at that speed: gpu at 1280mhz memory at 1300mhz. The temperature topped at 62º with the fan at only 40%, so I'd like to know your opinions on the subject, since Linus always says on the show what a great comunity this is. What I'd like to know is you opinions: ¿Should I try it further until it crashes? I've never done it so I don't know s*it about it. ¿Any of you had any luck OCing this card further? ¿At what speeds? ¿Is it really worth it? I know I won't get to play at 1080p with this card, but if I can tune up the details a bit while keeping my fpss that would be nice. The Heaven benchmarkat 1080p on high with no filters went as follows with the card before the OC: Unigine Heaven Benchmark 4.0 FPS: 18.7 Score: 472 Min FPS: 6.5 Max FPS: 37.3 And this is how it went after the OC: Unigine Heaven Benchmark 4.0 FPS: 20.0 Score: 504 Min FPS: 14.1 Max FPS: 39.1 If there's a chance I could improve it further It would be so nice. So this is my first review so I'll do my best. NOTE: This isn't a review of Chrome OS. This is a review of purely the C740. This is my first chromebook, although I've used different chromebooks in school. Keyboard: Solid construction, well spaced keys. I didn't have many typing errors on the chromebook. The travel distance for the keys is low but it didn't bother me as much as I expected it to. I like the replacement of the function keys and I have no clue why they made the enter key the way they did. Only major complaint is the half sized arrow keys. Touchpad: Not as good as a Macbook's but better than my oldish toshiba laptop and other chromebooks. Best touchpad I have ever used extensively. Overall construction: Sturdy build with very little flex. It is light and easy to hold at 2.9 lbs. This would be a great high school laptop (which is why I bought it). The brushed plastic look from the lid shows fingerprints but it isn't too bad. It looks a lot nicer than the solid color of the C720. The glossy plastic around the screen is a finerprint magnet and should burn in the firey depths of hell. The hinges seem sturdy and overall I would be fine bringing the device to school. It has a charging LED and a power LED. It has one USB 3.0, one USB 2, an SD card slot, a kensington lock, an HDMI port, a 4 pole headset jack and a chrging port. Upgradability: This is one of the few chromebooks were you can upgrade the ssd. It uses a standard m.2 ssd so go ahead and throw 512gb at this chromebook. RAM isn't upgradable. There are no stickers that say removing the bottom voids the warranty - on the same note I can't find a warranty from Acer. Speed: "Fast enough" doesn't do it justice. I'd say this is a fast chromebook. Boot time is "7 seconds" but I'm getting more like 5 seconds. Web pages boot fast and it gets a score of 13679 on the Octane 2 test. Battery life: Acer claims 9 hours but I get between 8.5 and 9.5 hours, and if I turn brightness down I can easily get 10 hours, maybe 11. Screen: Okay. Good horizontal viewing angles but the verticle angles are horrible. Much better than the C720's screen. Color is a little dull compared to IPS monitors. Speakers: They are on the bottom. They're stupid good (at low volumes). They don't get super quiet, but they do get very loud. Anything above 50% (which is really loud) is quite muddy. Webcam: I'd say it's usable. While it is fine for video chat I woudn't call home about it. Price: Depending on where you get it it's usually $260 for the 2gb and $280 for the 4gb. Overall: It isn't the best designed chromebook, it isn't the fastest, it doesn't have the longest battery life or the best screen and it sure isn't the cheapest. This might have the best speakers, the second fastest cpu in chromebooks and overall it is the most well rounded chromebook out there. What do you guys think? Also what would have been amazing is if evga were able to make this low profile pci-e card, but it was obvious the the components so compacted would have to call for a 2 slot cooler thus defeating the purpose of a super slim card.
