I tried to disassemble the lcd of my canon eos 650d because the lcd was vignetting and wanted to take a better look at the unit before i order the parts online. I was able to remove the bottom screw just fine. However, the top screw seemed to 'melt like butter' with the turning of my screwdriver. It offered no grip / resistance from the get go and just got cam-ed out / stripped. I would appreciate on suggestions on how to get this screw out.

im selling my corsair 650d to my niebourgh who doesnt know the most about pcs and cases and im selling him the 650d for £45. it is missing to 5.25 drive bay covers missing the psu dust filter the front dust filter and the top panel cover and has a few scratches and i have included to led cooler master fans thatt i have laying around. i just wont know if £45 is a good price for it in the condition it is in since i have seen near new ones go for £80 on ebay. any help is thanked

Hi, I intend on taking two 120mm fans and placing them in the front fan slot by using zipties to the 5.25" bays and the 200mm fan holes. This is due to me having two spare quiet 120mm compared to the lousy stock fans My question is, some of the fan will be blocked by the aluminium in the case. Will this affect the fan's longevity or performance in the area that can get air from the grill in front? Thanks in Advance

Really I was just wondering how this guy managed to get his cables arranged like that in the optical drive bay. I've attempted this and have bought a 5.25 - optical drive bay adapter so i can basiclly fit my hardrives and SSD's in the optical drive bay. It works but the cables have to go through one of the rubber gromits to the left of the entire bay. I don't understand how this guy did his at all. Any ideas on how? (The images are the guys build not mine) Here is the entire build log: http://www.overclock.net/t/907643/corsair-obsidian-650d-mid-tower/3590#post_17447072 Here is the optical drive bay image: http://www.overclock.net/t/907643/lightbox/post/17447072/id/911525

Hey guys & gals at linustechtips. I've made an account as I have a question regarding the 650D/h110i GT. Will the h110i GT fit inside the 650D without any modding? I've been looking around everywhere and can't seem to find a straight answer. Also, if it doesn't fit in the 650D, will it fit in the 750D? It would be great if someone can confirm this for me!

Hi Guy's, New to the forum, but big fan of the YouTube channel. I've built an Intel i5 4690K system with a corsair 650D tower and corsair 850W PSU. Works great (first system I've built myself, very chuffed!) I currently have no over clocking and a 750ti from my last PC installed so the thrown in CPU cooler and decent case fans are doing a good enough job. I am, however planning to overclock the I5 and add two Gigabyte 970 graphics cards down the line. So my question is: If I were to remove the top 200mm fan and insert an all in one corsair H100i would that retard the cooling on the two graphics cards substantially? I realise that it must to some extent, but I'm worried that overclocking would become impossible or the cards might actually overheat and throttle without any overclocking actually being done. The other option is a custom loop, but I'd like to put that off for a while as I'm not 100% confident. Thanks in advance for any and all help given. Kind Regards...

I'm a little surprised that someone would include a DSLR and then proceed to fumble the use of the DSLR entirely. As a above hobbyist/semi professional shooter myself, I'm a little appalled that they would screw up the use of the DSLR so badly. Not focusing properly and confirming focus, not making use of well, every single advanced feature on a 650D. Its not hard to make a DSLR look bad if you have no idea what you're doing, IMHO. The Note 4 does have a good camera, I'll give it that. I still don't appreciate someone being such a bumbling fool with a DSLR and almost intentionally trying to take bad shots. Take these two images from me. Not the same perspective, sure, but if I can do that with a relatively middle grade DSLR, the hell are these guys doing? First one is from my 6+, the other from my 7D http://www.phonearena.com/news/Galaxy-Note-4-dominates-our-blind-camera-comparison-beats-a-Canon-DSLR-and-the-iPhone-6-Plus_id66093

I have a corsair obsidian 650D case, It can only fit 200mm fan in the front and 120mm at the back. I have options for 2 140mm/120mm or 1 200mm on the top of the case. For the top, which fans should i choose, 2 140mm or 1 200mm. Any recommendation for quiet and high quality 140mm and 200mm fans??

Hello, I built my first computer about half a year ago, and it's a very good build, and I only have the regret of the larger case I bought. I currently have the Corsair 650D, but seeing as I would like a smaller footprint, and I LAN a lot, it is inconveniently big for me. My question is, do I look for a case to fit my current ATX motherboard, or do I invest in an m-ATX board and get a case that fits that, seeing that they are normally smaller as it is, and are easier to find at a small size. Also could I have recommendations for both. Thanks. Just for reference here are my components: Case: Corsair 650D Motherboard: MSI Z97-G45 Gaming LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard GPU: GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-2GD G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 770 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready WindForce 3X 450W Power Supply: CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Storage: Crucial MX100 CT128MX100SSD1 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) Seagate NAS HDD ST2000VN000 2TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s Internal Hard Drive Ram: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL Processor: Intel Core i7-4790K Haswell Quad-Core 4.0GHz LGA 1150 Desktop Processor BX80646I74790K

THE PLAN; Hello! This is the first PC I ever built, its about 7-8 months old, and while i'm pleased overall with my component choice, there are lots of little things that I could of done better as i think you may agree! What you can see in the above picture is an i7 3770K @ 4.6Ghz, Corsair H100i, Asus Maximus V GENE, Asus GTX 670 @ 1140mhz, Corsair Vengeance 8GB @ 1800mhz, Crucial M4 512GB, Xonar Essence STX, Corsair AX750 all inside a Corsair 650D While i cant fault any of my components i don't like the look of my case, it looks dull, like every other aircooled corsair / asus build. I also don't like red. I also don't have nearly as much cooling performance as i want, small FFT on Prime 95 pushes my CPU up to 90C - the limit of what i would consider acceptable, the GPU also regularly hovers in the mid 70's. Rather than upgrading so early (and lets face it, there is absolutely no reason to upgrade from the components i'm using right now) I plan on a side grade, fixing some of the issues i have with my current build. The three main areas i want to fix are as follows 1) as much cooling as I can cram into my 650D as possible 2) I am ditching the boring red / black scheme for something that fits my set-up much better 3) far better cable management Here is what I have in mind for my loop Up next, component choice

Hello everyone, I have been planning for this build for at least 6 months now. Thanks to many of Linus' videos, I learned a lot about hardware which helped me to choose these parts. It was alot of fun building this first PC despite my fear of breaking/receiving a broken part. I have overclocked the GPU to 1306MHz without increasing any voltages and the memory is running at 7494MHz (Don't want to fry it so I keep it low)! Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Please consider that the pictures are all spread out over this topic although due to their size... they are hard to miss! :P Here are the parts: Corsair 650D case arrived H100i water cooler arrived ASUS PB278Q 2560x1440 monitor arrived Corsair AX760 PSU arrived AVM 520E Powerline adapter SET arrived Intel i5 4670K arrived 8GB Vengance Pro 1866MHz RAM arrived ASUS MAXIMUS VI Hero arrived Samsung 840 250GB SSD arrived MSI GTX 770 Gaming arrived Coolermaster 120mm Jet Flo fan arrived Windows 8 arrived 24 pin and PCIe sleeved cables (red) arrived The Build is COMPLETE! Please feel free to give me some feedback and your opinions. Pictures This is my old setup. The GTX 460M just wouldn't cut it anymore so that's why I'm building a new PC Oh, and here's my cat! (For those who requested it) More images to come soon! Please post a reply to let me hear your guys' opinion!

I just got two Noctua NF F-12 PWM fans and i have a Corsiar 650D case with an H100 in the top i was just wondering if I should put the fans in push or pull config and as an intake or a exhaust? I know Linus covered over push and pull before just wasn't 100% sure. http://oi43.tinypic.com/69mdtk.jpg I have a front intake 200mm fan(being replaced with something else) Silverstone Tek 120mm AP123 in the back as an exhaust and the top h100 in pull as an exhaust

Hello guys, I'm looking for a new case but most of the cases dont match my requirements and i was hoping that some of you could help me. The cases i looked at so far are: Corsair 350d (my perfect case but a little bit to small) Corsair 650d (is the size i like but doesn't have dual front fans) Corsair 800d (too expensive) Silverstone tj 07 (is not painted inside and just too expensive) Silverstone tj11b-w (too expensive) I really like the look of the obsidian cases but i have yet to find one that meets my requirements and is in my price range. (it is possible i'm just to picky about case requirements) My budget is 180 euro's or 240 US dollars I'm looking forward to your recommendations

I have a Corsair 650d case and a H100 with Noctua NF-F12s. I was just wondering if it would be safe to put my computer under my desk with carpet ground. I can place finished wood or floor under the computer so it doesn't suck up carpet dust with a clearance height for about 6in to the top of my desk. Would this give enough cooling still?

Hey guys i just got a new corsair 650d case with a corsair rm750 psu and a corsair h60 cooler. When i was transferring all my hardware from my previous case to my new case i ran into a problem. The mobo i have is a msi z77a g45 and for the most part i have plugged the psu cables into slots that i know are correct but there are some cables, specifically ones from my case that i just dont know where they go at all. I have my hardrives and fans plugged in i got my psu plugged in with the switch turned on and the computer wont even start. When i press the power button at the front of the case absolutely nothing happens so i would assume its not connected to the motherboard. Can someone please help me figure out which cables need to go where on the mobo for it to work.

Also, I would love it and really REALLY appreciate it if someone could tell me if the above parts are compatible? Thanks, E -------------------------- Hi All, My first post here on this forum. I am an avid gamer and have been playing for a long time. I have always been up to date with my components, and my upgrade is coming up pretty soon. Right now my specs look a little like this: Case: Corsair 650D Motherboard: MSI Z77A-GD65 CPU: Core i7 3770k OC'd at 4.2 GHz CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i GPU: 2 EVGA GTX 670 in SLi OC'd at 1000 MHz RAM: 16 GB Corsair Dominator DDR3 1500 PSU: SeaSonic Gold 850 W 100% Modular I am upgrading to 2 780 Ti in SLi, ASUS Rampage Formula VII, Core i7 4960K and 32 GB of DDR3 RAM within the next couple of months. I am planning to water cool the entire build (each component, including the RAM, Southbridge and Northbridge of the Motherboard and GPUs). Since I've never done any water cooling before, or never have seen it in person, I have no experience with that process and honestly, I am extremely intimidated by it. I thought it would be better if I practiced with a simple, cheap water cooling build on my existing machine before working on the new build to gain some experience and understanding of how this process works. I read through all the guides I could to understand the basic understanding of how the loop is supposed to work, the radiators, reservoirs, pumps and water blocks. Trust me, I read a LOT, yet this topic scares the bejesus out of me. Here's a list of things that worry me and stop me from buying the components: 1. Where and HOW do I mount my reservoir, without having to mod my Corsair 650D case (I don't have any tools like a dremel to mod my case) 2. What kind of tubing and fittings do I need to get and how do I make sure that they match with the other water cooling components? 3. Which radiator(s) should I look to get that will be sufficient for my CPU, and 2 GPUs in SLi? 4. As I am practising, I want to get my hands-on working with lighting up the case and watercooling components to make it look pretty, so I understand how to work with the aesthetics of the new build as well. Where would you guys suggest I start for that? Right now, as I type this my legs are twitching with excitement and anxiety of going through with this. I don't want to mess anything up and none of my friends have ever worked with water-cooling either, so I don't know where to look for advice.. I hope you folks can help me out? I am reading these two topics at the moment: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/5435-watercooling-faq-some-basic-qa/ http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1755-water-cooling-101-a-good-place-for-newbies-to-start/ But I was hoping for a more personalized reply from you guys for my situation.. Please help! Thanks much, E

Hi. This is my first post here. I'm wondering how to get my 2 usb 3, 2 front facing audios and what I would assume are usb 2s on the front of my Corsair 650D ATX Case. I plug things in and it just doesn't work. Does anyone have any ideas or help?

Hi guys! I'm building a new PC soon, and I just wanted to ask if anyone would know, if this parts (Corsair 650D + Sabertooth z87 + Corsair H100i) would fit. I heard that some people had some trouble fitting the z77 and the H100i (I'm using the Sabertooth z87) because of the thermal armor, but I don't know which case they had. Thank's for all your help! :D
