Hello So i build a new PC and i decided to go for DDR5 RAM. Everything works fine as long as i keep the XMP Profile turned off. I activate my pc no problems but couple minutes or hours later everything gets weird. Programs crashed regularly, i get random blue screens and weird graphics bugs. The latest BIOS is currently installed. My setup is: Asus PRIME Z790-A WIFI I7 13700KF (Dark Rock pro 4) Rtx 3060 ti Asus Tuf 8gb Oc Corsair Vengeance 64 gbs of 6000mhz (1 stick has 16 gb) So my question is, what should i do, im not really a professionell Pc builder and i really would love to use the 6000mhz Thank you for the help -
So i'm looking at a 4 x16GB kit of Trident Z Specifically this kit (F4-3600C16Q-64GTZR) to use with the Gigabyte Z690 Aero G DDR4 motherboard. It's not in the QVL as far as I can see as rated speed and capacity of this kit. Given the speed and timings, is it likely to work at XMP2.0 speeds? That is all. -
Hey, I posted something similar to this yesterday but am hoping to get a few more opinions tonight before buying (that will hopefully tip the scales one way or the other xD). Right now I have two configs i'm looking at paring with a 5900x and asus b550-e : 4x8gb 3600mhz cl16 crucial ballistix rgb or 4x16gb 3600mhz cl16 crucial ballistix rgb. Both configs are four stick since crucial changed its 16gb dimms to single rank so in order for it to run as dual rank and to net a slight performance bump I require 4 dimms (not to be confused with dual channel btw). Unfortunately, due to my current system being incredibly lacklustre, I am not sure of what programs I would be using but what I can say is that I would like to create hyper realistic models / renders, interiors and even a virtual store that you can walk around in that is incredibly close to real life (similar to the thing that LG did). Other than that I would also be dabbling in game design and as a personal hobby would be designing prosthetics / supports for people with hypermobility eds. This machine would be my workhorse for the next 3-4 fours years until I upgrade or replace it so I would like as much headroom as possible / required in order to learn. I should also mention that I would have background tasks such as chrome, photoshop, discord etc open too. Right now I am a beginner however this is my main focus and I will be dedicating 90% of my time towards it . Plus this system will also double as my computer for my online uni course. Hello, I am not too familiar with building PCs however I would like to build two PCs for my Fiance and I. We primarily game though at times use programs like Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro, etc. I currently have 64gb DDR4 (4x16gb) 3333MHz, 16 CL sticks of ram in an old PC. I bought new 64gb DDR4 (4x16gb) 3600 MHz, 18 CL sticks of ram for the new builds. My question is what is the best way to proceed with this without being overkill? Should I just install 4 sticks in each of the two PCs? Just install 2 each of the new 3600MHz sticks and sell the old 4? Is it really better to have the 4 sticks over the 2? (Not an option of just keeping the old 4, with a fiance that truely truely wants RGB to the max, new ram was needed lol)

Planning to get 64GB RAM for my laptop. Choices: 1) 2pcs of Crucial 32GB 3200mhz (CT32G4SFD832A) (cheaper than option 2) 2) 1 set of Crucial 64GB (32x2) 3200mhz (CT2K32F4SFD832A) (costs more than option 1) I couldn't find information if option 1 would still work in dual channel mode. And I couldn't find information if these are good options for my laptop. I kept seeing the Fury Impact RAM, but the 64GB variant is not available in my country.

Currently, my Crucial Ballistix 2x16GB Kit is running close to 50-80% usage. No, it's never XMP, it's always running at the maximum JEDEC spec that the RAM could run, which is 2.666 GHz. I'm planning to upgrade to 128GB (as in 4x32 GB) quite soon, however, looking at the Memory QVL, nearly, half of the memory support 4 slots and they totally out of stock (retail, and online, or doesn't ship to here). Then again, this list is incomplete, they don't test all. The Desginare memory is the one I'm looking at, just for the sake of compatibility and I'm confused whether this set support 4 sticks, or 2 sticks. The support list doesn't state support of 4x32GB, only 2x32GB. Yeah, I've look around if Z4/590 support 4 sticks or 2 sticks, however, they are running XMP and have issues running 4 sticks of RAM--however, I'm not running at XMP. I'm running at the JEDEC speed set by the kit. -
Hi I have the rog extreme AM5 board lying in wait for the x3d cpus and was thinking if these G.skill ram are working ok on the platform with the expo profile since i think these are quite the popular kit from G.skill in the 64gb range. Hey guys, Im running a Dark hero with G.SKILL Ram: F4-3600C14D-32GTZN Thats a dual channel kit with 2x 16 gb. Now Id like to upgrade to 64gb and wonder if I can buy the same kit again and basically run the same dual kit twice 4x 16gb. My cpu is a 5950x. Will I run into issues? Thanks guys! -

So I've got me an Asus Prime x370-Pro and a Ryzen 1800x. I'm currently using this Ballistix Tactical 16GB kit, but only because all my other ram doesn't work with Ryzen and this board. Is there anyone out there using a 64GB kit (4x16GB) with the Prime x370-Pro, or really any Ryzen board? I'd check the QVL but it's not reliable seeing as a couple of my other kits are on this list and they don't work with the board. *edit* Please don't just tell me I should stick with 16 or 32GB. I've upgraded from a 64GB machine to this one, and I need a kit that works with Ryzen. I'm not using this just for gaming FYI. -

Hello. I wonder if some one could tell me if there is any kind of troubles, loosing performance or cutting speeds, when adding 64GB ram in all 4 dim slots available? Ram config will be (2x16Gb + 2x16Gb) Mobo is gone a be the Asus ROG Strix x570 Gaming-E (128gb max ram - 4dim slots) Can some one give me a reference for a good performance "productivity intense tasks" of RAM? I know this topic is a bit over-talked but i need some expertise/advise. cheers

ITS SHOWS 250GB BUT ITS 64GB! I CANT SEEM TO GET IT BACK TO 64GB! I TRIED EVERYTHING SD CARD FORMATTER TO MINITOOL DRIVE FORMATTER IT SHOWS UP AS 250GB BUT I WOUNT HAVE PROBLEM UNLESS SWITCH GOT "ERROR WITH SD CARD" AFTER BEING USED A LITTLE SPACE AHH HELP

Hey guys so I just bought a brand new 64 GB SSD off of an Iranian online website for under 13 USD plus shipping which is really expensive in my country(Iran). now that it arrived. i have no idea what is this thing. I just know its a 64 GB drive Sata3 with MLC Nand Flash and it is cacheless. I spend a few days finding out what is it but even with searching the web looking to find anything that matches this SSD,s part number and I find nothing. even the task manager doesn't know what is it. it just says "64 GB SATA Flash Drive" but speeds are not that bad for a SATA drive! 420 MB read...250 MB Write.....Over 16000 IOPS on a singe 1 GB file Windows on its latest version will run under 15 sec. It also has a green activity led on it as well. also, the seller does not provide any additional information about them. it's just saying this is an "Apacer T300BA 64 GB SSD". check out the pictures! Just curious if anybody has gotten 64GB RAM kits (dual rank 4 sticks) to work at 3000-3200mhz speeds?? I've been browsing the web and haven't found anybody running 64GB or 32GB 4 stick kits at 2933mhz or above.

Ah, Yes, Hi! I was looking at upgrading my Alienware Aurora R6's RAM, I currently have Samsung 16GB DDR4 @ 2400MHz - Model Here: M378A1K43CB2-CRC. Now, I don't mind spending a pretty penny on RAM Upgrades as I was gonna also upgrade my CPU From an i7-7700 to an i7-7700k, Just to be a fancy power user, But the biggest question I have is, Fury or G.Skill? Since I was looking at those 2 brands, but I'm not the best with hardware components, though I do understand some of the basics like the CAS on RAM, Lower it is, the better, which means faster access. But, I'm completely stuck and confused since there's so many different variations of RAM. The basics of what I want, Minimal, is 64GB @ 2133MHz, As my Motherboard supports up to 2400MHz, My motherboard specs is just the generic Aurora R6 board, but the model imprinted on the board itself is: IPKBL-SC - and what I got out of google is another Model Number thing, which is 7HV66; Which, basically is a Z270. TL;DR. I want 64GB RAM Minimal @2133MHz with a Z270 board. Have no idea what I should get since there's so many variations. Help Plz.

Hi guys, I started a few days ago a build and I'm currently wainting on some parts to arrive. Long story short I was just looking through the build logs in this forum and here I am.. I first wanted to build an X58 system with a nice Xeon and water cooling for the cpu, northbridge and the vrm modules. I actually did start the build but then I got some nice deals on X79 parts. Here the configuration: Asus Rampage IV Black Edition (E-ATX and part of another story ) Intel Xeon E5 2680 v2 (10 Cores, 20 threads and decent frequencies) (Also part of another story) 8x8GB DDR-3 1333Mhz ECC memory, because it was so damn cheap (around 100 USD) Radeon R9 290X (will upgrade it probably once the new Nvidia cards release and it came already with the block) 180GB Intel SSD, 2TB Samsung HDD 500W BeQuiet Strainght Power PSU (80 Plus Gold) Now to the first story that made me go crazy. The motherboard is an E-ATX board. I however use a Fractal Meshify C case that only has support for up to ATX motherboards. That wouldn't have been a problem if I didn't decide to upgrade the board from a P9X79 Pro to this one. But I really didn't wanna have anything blue in my system.... so here we are.. . I took the dremel and cut some parts out of the case to make it fit. Then the Xeon, I saw a video on Level1Techs by Wendell and it really got me think. He compared a Xeon E5 2680 (Sandybridge-E CPU) to the new Skylake X 10 core CPU and the Xeon somehow did really, really well. Probably thanks to its massive cache and the ringbus architecture. I decided to go with the Xeon E5 2680 v2. It is a bit more expensive but gives you 2 more cores and 4 more threads, higher clocks and the newer Ivybridge architecture. I'm really curious on how this Xeon is going to perform. You can actually also enable the "Multicore Enhancement" Setting in the Asus Bios which alows the Xeon to clock higher on all cores in Turbo boost. I'm still going with the water cooling setup because I already ordered it from China. I'm Swiss and let me tell you that PC parts and water cooling parts aren't cheap here. So it really makes sense to go with second hand and used PC parts. And I always had good experience with Chinese water cooling stuff. You just have to search for the right things (D5 pumps etc.). The fluid is going to be red (Mayhems X1) because I still have concentrate lying around. I don't really have a name for the build and I'm interested to see what kind of names you come up with.
