After a new GPU install my system persistently crashes without any fail. It crashes anytime I try to boot the system or load a game. The only fix so far has been to reinstall Windows completely and even then it only lasts for a few weeks before it starts experiencing the same symptoms. Yet again, I've tried to use DDU to remove the old drivers and there are no old GPU drivers left in the system at all. I cannot seem to find the error and windows just wants to keep crashing no matter how hard or what I use to fix the issue. I am completely lost. Command prompts aren't working. I need solutions before I have to completely replace my entire system

Or rather does my pi support it. I already have 32-bit raspian os running on my raspberry pi 4 2GB ram variant. I've had it for a year now but I want to do a clean install because of corruption. Should I install the new 64bit version of raspian and does most software support it? I am running/want to run samba SMB NAS, pihole, etc... Thanks

Hey, I've activated the administrator account with command prompt, but no password was requested to change. So I signed out of my profile and tried to sign in to the administrator account, just to realize that there's a password on it. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? If not necessary I don't want to reset my PC. Now I realized that I should have changed the password before I activated the account. Windows 10 Home 64bit (10.0.19043 Build 19043) Thank you.

Hello everyone, Once and a while I have this issue where WMI Provider Host just pings my cpu at 100% for no reason. It also some times takes quite a bit of cpu sometimes (like 60%) It only happens when I load my system (such as Gaming and Rendering) and I have to restart an its fine taking about 0.1 to 1% of my cpu. I have not over clocked my cpu witch is a i5-6600k. Now it does not happen that often but its sorta annoying. Any thoughts?

Hello everyone! After the advent of the infamous Windows 10 (doesn't matter v1511 or v1607), IT problems and headaches have skyrocketed. Couple of times I heard Luke saying the annoyance of trying to benchmark machines with the instability of Windows 10. I have to say that it can get much worse when you have Active Directory. Our machines after join the Active Directory are now unbearable to login and use. Even when using software like DisableWinTracking, Spybot Anti-beacon etc, Microsoft services some times take almost 100% of disk and/or memory usage, and arround 90% (!!) of CPU usage most at login time and randomly during the day. Logins are much worst than boot times ( sometimes taking more than 5 minutes to release the desktop even after it is show to the user in a good day). You guys don't notice that much because (that's a guess) because Core i3 computer with 4Gb of ram and HDD (in the majority of the machines) are not that common outside Brazil (where I live). But, even with some Core i5 and i7 the situation is not good. We are doing some testing disabling more Windows 10 annoying service and scheduled tasks, which helped (using Download Destroy Windows 10 Spying recommended by Barnacules Nerdgasm helped very much). Doing tests two things came to our attention: The same machines that we tested with Windows 10 32bit performed so much better than with Windows 10 64bit, Of course we loose some RAM but the performance is like downgrading to Windows 7; In the IT department, more specifically the support team, we installed Linux (Ubuntu, Fedora, OpenSUSE) and we are using Windows 10 on virtual machines (VM). Which is impressive since even using Windows 10 64bit inside a VM with less available RAM the performance is better. How is your experience with this ... work of art of Microsoft?

Sup folks, I've been having this issue for quite awhile now, I still don't know how to fix it. My PC says there are updates that need to be installed, which is true, but when it reboots to install said updates, it's stuck at "preparing Windows configuration", then abruptly shuts off and reboots normally, without installing any updates. The Windows update windows keeps popping up saying that I need to install important updates and that the pc will restart in 15 minutes (which for now I have resorted to opening cmd and stopping Windows Update manually by "net stop wuauserv") Operating system: Windows 7 Service Pack 1 64 bit Hope someone knows how to fix this issue. Thanks in advance, Regards, TJ

I am developing a distro openSUSE Leap 42.1 called ServerOS for x64 systems. It is based on openSUSE Leap 42.1 and has many of the most popular server programs built in. I was hoping that if i get enough users and developers, I could start doing weekly or even nightly builds and have this compete with something like FreeNAS (even though it's unlikely). It would be great if people can help and pitch in ideas on the GitHub and help make this idea happen. The GitHub address is: https://github.com/JoshuaBishop/ServerOS And the suseStudio link is: https://susestudio.com/a/jLk2DC/serveros Thank you for reading and I hope you will make servers easy to run and affordable to the public. If they need to for some reason. -Joshua

Hello there, beginner question incoming. I upgraded from a 32 bit windows 10 to a 64 bit one just recently, by doing a clean install, aided by microsoft's site. Without installing any drivers or other software, i ran some games on steam and they worked fine. This raised a question that some google searches couldn't answer straight forward. Which drivers are installed by Windows 10 and which ones should i install myself? Straight after installing Windows i installed steam and ran Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition . Fps wiggled between 30 and 40 fps. After installing the graphics drivers for my video card, the results were very similar, if not exactly the same. Does this mean i can use my pc straight away without any drivers or added software?

Whenever i visit any site (or even google anything) the page takes ages to load and all i see is the ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT error with “Waiting for proxy tunnel” in the buttom left. I’ve tried fixing it with the LAN Settings but it didnt work. Can anyone help me with this? ;( EDIT: Also, some of my extentions dont work because of this, maybe they cant connect to their servers? FIXED: I changed some values in regestry (followed this vid and then I disabled "Use a proxy server for your LAN" and enabled "Automatically detect settings" and now its all good, hopefully this helps other people with the same problem thanks, doxi

Hey everyone! I'd love your expertise to help me solve this problem of mine. My system recently started freezing then displaying a BSOD when I would do anything CPU intensive. Specifically in Lightroom Classic CC 2020 and Photoshop CC 2020. The cursor would freeze and display would turn off. Sometimes it would give me a stopcode of: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR. In my own efforts to troubleshoot, I disabled GPU acceleration in all of my Adobe apps thinking that was the culprit. It did not do anything. Event viewer in Windows has proven to be not helpful as it never records any issues at the time of the crash, just the improper shutdown after I am forced to shit the system off. In addition, I ran a stress test with Aida64, everything passes except 'stress cache' on the CPU. Oddly enough it passes when in safe mode. I did a full windows clean install and right after the setup screen the system just freezes and the display turns off. In safe mode again it is fine. Here are my system specs: CPU: i9-9900K RAM: G.Skill 64GB DDR4 24000 Mobo: ASUS ROG Maximum XI Extreme GPU: Asus ROG Strix 2070 8GB Audio: EVGA Nu Audio Pro (PCIe) Storage: Intel SSD 750 (PCIe), Intel Optane M.2 Memory Module, Samsung SSD Evo 840 (x2) Samsung SSD 970 EVO M.2, Seagate 12TB HDD PSU: Corsair HX850i Cooler: NZXT Kraken X72 Case: Phanteks Evolv X Latest drivers installed. Windows 10 64bit Build 19041.1 Any help or assistance to point me in the right direction would be most appreciated! ?

Hey, so for quite a while now, whenever I open Euro Truck Simulator 2 on my PC, the game doesn't have any sound what so ever but everything else such as Youtube and Spotify do have audio. If I launch the same game in 32 bit version the sound comes back but only in OpenGL not DiretX11. I have already tried the 64 bit version of Safe Mode, DirectX11 and OpenGl and still no sound; can anyone help with this issue? Thanks!

Hello, i have a big problem with Java jre. The 32-bit version works just fine, but 64-bit doesn't work at all if installed correctly. What do i mean is when i install Java with installer, it doesn't work at all. But if i install it, copy the files to other location, then uninstall it and try to use it (for example in Minecraft) works normally, if i set the Java Executable manually. But it's not the case if i would need to do that for every program. But if install it manually, i can't open control panel, it's launching, shows white screen for 3 seconds and then crashes. Tried few different installs, Java 8 141,131,231 and 241 and same effect on all. I tried updating my Windows, same effect. Tried to do sfc /scannow, same effect. What's weird is if i do a fresh install of Windows 10 on Virtual Machine, and install just JRE, it works perfectly fine. That make me guess that it may be a problem inside Windows, which means the perfect solution is format c:, but that's not the case. Is there anything other that i can do? Windows 10 1909, compilation 18363.535. Ryzen 5 2600, GTX 960 2GB, B450M DS3H, 8GB DDR4 Crucial Ballistix 3000MHz.

Hi, I've been using Dark Mode ever since it came out in Win10. This was years ago I believe since I got mine from upgrading Win8.1 to Win10 then performing a clean install. However I was wondering why Microsoft chose my File Explorer to keep it's white backdrop but I didn't bother with it. This time around after the October Windows update, I tried checking again. It turns out I might be one of the few in which it doesn't work on File Explorer when it should. Any help?

Recently I was gifted a RX 480 (I know, I'm a lucky sod) however, due to both my monitors not having a HDMI/DisplayPort connection, I have to run my HDMI cable to my TV, and mirror the display from that to one of my VGA/DVI connection monitors, running on my integrated graphics (Intel HD 4600). For the most part, this runs like a charm. Getting 60-100fps on games like GTA V on High settings, and 70-120 fps on Rainbow Six Siege on Ultra. However, it causes an issue in other, seemingly random games. Notably, Insurgency, Portal, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, and The Darkness 2 (however not Warhammer 40k games, so maybe an engine issue?). This is, as far as my troubleshooting over the last month has shown, not due to an incompatibility. When I try to run these games, the Windows Notification area alerts me that my graphics driver has failed to start, and so it reverts to the Windows Basic Graphics Driver (i.e. the one that you have to update out of on a fresh install). I have updated the integrated graphics, and my RX 480 graphics drivers, vcredist 2010-2015, and DirectX, however the problem persists. When I disable mirrored mode, I can launch the games with no issues (aside from having to choose between integrated graphics, which aren't the greatest, or having to sit at my desk, whilst swivelling my head around to the TV 90 degrees to my right, which, is far from comfortable, to say the least). It doesn't seem to matter what resolution I attempt to run the games in, or whether it's fullscreen, windowed, or borderless, the problem persists. If you can send any suggestions that aren't "Just run it on your integrated graphics" I would be delighted to hear from you. Many thanks for taking the time to read my post.

Sometimes my PC isnt turning on after i put it on sleep mode, the lights are on and all, what shows activity of the PC (the pc is open), but there is no response on the monitor (no image, black screen), and when the computer is off and im turning it on, the problem repeats, you can tell the pc is on (lights are flashing), but the monitor isnt responding. and same happens when i restart. at first the problem only accured when i put the pc on sleep mode, and then it got worst and started accuring when i restart, and now it accurs when i try to open the computer. It doesnt happen every time i restart/open the pc, but it does happen most of the time (right now, the computer is on). I've tried messing with the power saving settings, but to no avail. help Bios Version: F1 SPECS: Windows 10 64 Bit CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.20Ghz RAM :16GB 2400Mhz Mother Board: A320M-S2H-CF GPU: GTX 1060 6GB not overclocked SSD: Galax 150GB HDD: 1TB Seagate PSU: Antec 550W Modular 80+ Bronze

Hi Guys! For about 2 months now, I am having issues withy my W7 64 Bit computer. Recently it's getting a lot warmer than it used to be, and now it's getting slower. It's booting up fast, however, once it enters W7, it is slowing down and uses around 60% CPU when idling. As far as I can see, all drivers are up to date (Bios, GPU, et cetera). Here are the Specs: Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit Intel I5 4960K Devil's Canyon Quad Core 3,5 GHz 32GB Corsair XMS3 (4x8GB) 240pin DDR3 SDRAM 1600 2x EVGA GTX 970 2GB Gaming w/ACX 2.0+ (with Medium SLI Bridge) MSI Z97S SLI PLUS Samsumg840 EVO SSD 500gb (With W7 installed) WD 2TB 7200RPM HDD EVGA SuperNova G1 650W 80+Gold 4x Corsair ML120 Fans Malware Antibytes and MSE found nothing, I've put the Intel Procesor Diagnostic Tool into a Burn-In test, and the first one was failed (Message was "Check Thermal Compound), however, a 2nd test passes just fine. Recently I had several event 43 errors with the old PSU (Seasonic 750W), but this ended after I installed the EVGA PSU. shortly after that, the new problems started. I have ordered new thermal compound and I am awaiting the arrival of it. Any suggestions?
