I recently upgraded to a triple monitor setup (I have 3 Samsung Curved CF390 24 inch monitors) and I recently purchased an RTX 3070 along with it. Im incredibly happy with the performance of the games when im playing but then it will freeze after about 10-15 minutes and then crash the game to the desktop (no matter what game I have tried). My PC Specs are: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 4x4GB HyperX Fury DDR4 GIGABYTE RTX 3070 Kingston HyperX 240GB SSD (Boot Drive) WD 1TB Black HDD WD 2TB Green HDD 5 RGB Fans Corsair CX750F RGB What is happening and why are all my games crashing when I am using Nvidia Surround. I have tried games without Nvidia surround and they work perfectly fine. Thanks in Advance!!!!

Today I just received my third monitor for surround gaming and have had nothing but trouble. Quick run down of my PC MSI gtx 1060 3g fx6300 hyper 212 evo GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3P mobo corsair 750 watt psu 3 Asus 23.6" VS Series VS247H-P (1920x1080) Windows 10 Monitors are connected by hmdi to dvi, dvi to dvi, and display port to dvi (graphics card output, monitor input) My problem is that my games run at 6-7 fps in all locations in the game (menus, loading screens, in game). I have found a solution but its incredibly annoying. If i set in game resolution to 1920x1080, and change it back to my native 5760x1080, it fixes the slow fps and everything works. I am at a loss and can't figured out why it would do this. I've tried switching whats plugged in where, updating drivers, playing windowed, border less window, with or without V-sync, and restarting my computer. The only thing that fixes the problem is changing the resolution to 1920x1080 and then back to the native of 5760x1080. I just want to be able to launch my game in the native 5760x1080 and not have 6-7 fps without setting changing. Thanks for all help. TL;DR Games lag at 6-7 fps when launched at 5760x1080, I can fix it by going to 1920x1080 and then back to 5760x1080.

I picked up Call of Duty World at War recently and when I enable PhysX to surround there is an option in the game for 5760 x 1080 but it is stretched. Any ideas on how to go about correcting this? Additionally, I found there are some servers still in use by people but I don't see an option in the game to find a specific server only refresh the empty options.

Today I tried setting up my three monitors for surround gaming and am running into some issues. For everyday use and productivity I use my monitors as three separate displays that extend onto one another like this: In order to have 5760 x 1080 as a valid screen resolutions I need to enable Nvidia surround so that Windows interprets the three displays as one like this: This is fine for gaming, but for everyday use it doesn't work for me. The half window snapping goes across two displays instead of just half of one, as well as some other issues. Nvidia includes a hot-key for switching off the surround. The problem is that when I switch from Nvidia surround to three separate displays, it disables two of them: This forces me to re-add the two other displays every time I disable Nvidia surround. Is there a fix for this, or an alternate way to game on 3 monitors? Edit: This thread didn't really get picked up, but in case anyone else runs into this issue I found somewhat of a fix here: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1590030 Basically someone created a script that does what the Nvidia hot-key should do. It works for me.

Hello all, I am looking for suggestions on monitors for gaming at 5760x1080. Approximately £200 budget per monitor. Ideally want it to have a VESA (or other) mount (so I can get a triple monitor stand) Any suggestions are appreciated.

Has anyone recently gotten Shadow of Mordor to play on three monitors? I bought this game just recently and it just will not recognize my 5760x1080 Nvidia Surround resolution. No matter what I do, it seems to recognize my 100% native resolution at only 1920x1080. I found another post saying that their game used to work fine and it quit working after a recent update in which they "improved detection of monitor native resolution" so I was wondering if anyone else's game is in fact still working fine. I believe the problem used to be that the game would only play on about 3 inches of each side monitor without correcting for it with Flawless Widescreen and changing the config file, etc, but I can't even get that far. It refuses to believe my resolution is anything but 1920x1080 and only uses the center monitor. Thanks everyone.

So can I have an Acer Xb270HU in the middle I use this as my primary monitor. And two other 27 inch 1080p monitors. So when i'm playing games like LoL CS:GO and I need the 144hz I only use that monitor the other ones are for interwebs and stuff. Yet games like project cars MMOs I set the Acer predator to 1080p and play in 5760x1080

Is it possible? I know it's less than preferable, but I have a 1440x900 monitor that I would like to run at 1920x1200 to match my other two 1080p monitors in surround.

Hi Guys, I am thing of extending my current PC to a triple monitor gaming rig. The monitors will be all 1920x1080p. Will it be better to go for dual R9 285 in crossfire or a single R9 290? I have seen a couple of gigabyte gtx 770 4gb for sale and was wondering about the 4gb of vram since the memory bus is only 256bit Okay the gtx 970-980 also have a 256 bit memory bus and 4gb vram and no one talks about the gtx 980 not being good enought to be able to handle 4gb of vram. I have a msi gtx 780 gamiing oc (1ghz) fine for 2560x1080 and easy games on 5760x1080, but for future games i would like a bit more vram since i have 3 monitors (and a 2560x1080) also with gtx 770 in sli i would have much more gpu power then a single gtx 780,970. Even when 2x gtx770 is more powerfull then a single gtx 970, alot of people on forums say it's not powerfull enough to take advantage of 4gb vram, simple because the gpu is not fast enough (even in sli)to use, let's say compared to my gtx 780 vram above 3gb and because of the low memory bus (gtx 780 higher memory bus and not so powerfull as gtx 770 4 gb in sli, gtx 770 4gb in sli has more ram and gpu power but lower memory bus, there for gpu power would compensate for memorybus and both should be able to handle 3gb vram fine?) (Gtx 770 in sli more gpu power, gtx 780 higher memory bus, both should be able to handle 3gb vram fine?) Is the Gigabyte gtx 770 4gb in sli fast enough (they could run about 1200mhz on the core) to take advantage of more then 3 gb of vram even when memory bus is only 256bit? Why isn't people talking about the only 256 bit memory bus on the gtx 980 limit the vram usage?

I can't decide whether I want a more immersive experience with tripple monitors (asus mx239h) or a better gaming experience. I play alot of competitive games yet triple monitor just seems so cool. The games I plan are playing are. League if Legends Hearthstone Overwatch(when it comes out) Battlefield:Hardline Witcher 3 Star Wars Battlefront(when it comes out) Batman Arkam Knight Shadow of Mordor modded Minecraft COD:Black Ops 3 (when it comes out) PvZ GW2 (When it Comes Out) World of Warcraft:Warlords or Draenor Triple monitor will be cheaper yet I'm not sure if my desk can fit it maybe with a stand. I'm going to get a the roccat kave xtd 5.1 if more people say triple monitor is better. If not then a better sounding headset.

Hi, I have a decent gaming computer allready, but it has its issues. Specially in the latest games the performance isn't great. I have been updating it part by part, but now I'm in the point that I have to redo it, if I want to get progress. Situation is that the mobo doesn't support PCI-e 3.0, so GPU performance is what it is and there is no newer mobo from my CPUs socket. And then there's the whole DX12 support thing... So here we are, I'm going to be building a Windows 10 gaming machine this year. Although I will give Microsoft & co atleast a month after release, to figure out the Windows 10 drivers, bugs and whatnot. What do I want to do with it? 1. 1080p 60fps gaming + streaming 30-60fps (primary use) Games like: Battlefield 4 (and 5 next year most likely) Battlefront ARK: Survival Evolved GTA V Project Cars 2. 5760x1080 60fps gaming (+ maybe 1080p streaming, not a deal breaker) Games like: DiRT Rally The Crew 3. 4K gaming (just because someone is going to ask) I don't currently have plans to get 4K monitor or TV, so this isn't going to be an issue, for now. The part list... Motherboard: Asus RAMPAGE V EXTREME EATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory CPU: Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core Processor This I will OC at least at some point. CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 82.5 CFM CPU Cooler Storage: Samsung 840 Pro Series 512GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (pre-owned) HDD mass storage Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB Video Card I'm ok getting another for sli within a year, or even upgrading to something better. + The obvious things PCPartPicker list Other notes The gamelist is just reference of the games, that I think would be biggest resource hogs. I really would like to not be forced to use capturecard. So OBS prosessing needs to be counted in. I'm going now with DDR4 compatibility for future proofing, I do not want to update whole thing again within a year. I'm ok with the current pricetag. No need to quote exact prices, because I'm from Finland and I have to figure out local prices anyway. Internet connection wount be an issue, for streaming. I know Twich is currently limited to 3500 kb/s bitrate, that doesn't allow 1080p60 streaming. (Not in good quality at least.) What do you think? Have I totally lost my mind or does this seem like something that would work? Something to make it better, that doesn't pump up the price a lot. (So no Titan X for me ) PS: I'm new on the board, so hopefully this is ok first post

I just want a second opinion on my situation. On my main computer, I'm housing a MSI 280x which is powering an eyefinity setup (5760x1080) plus an auxiliary (12" cintiq). The most tasking things I do 3D modelling and gaming (anything from Counter-Strike to Star Citizen). I've been contemplating for a while about upgrading my graphics card. My plan: purchase another 280x (preferably the same one) and run on crossfire. With all the sales going on, it's getting more and more tempting. And with the current Never Settle: Space Edition promotion, I was hoping to get my girlfriend started with Star Citizen too. I showed her the Mustang Omega model and she loved it. Although, in a year or two, when Star Citizen (hopefully) comes out, I plan on upgrading again to a more powerful single card solution (who knows what's out then) and transferring my crossfire cards into my secondary system, replacing its Gigabyte 6850 (powering a single 1920x1080). Hopefully then, 280x crossfire can still handle Star Citizen, but until, I would at least be able to run my games at >60 FPS on my main system. I realize single card solutions are always 'better' and that some 290x cards are matching 280x prices with the current sales, but in 2(ish) years when I upgrade again and hand down a 290x to my secondary system, I would have a 280x just lying around. If I have two 280x's now, I could at least crossfire them later on the secondary. Also, there are the new nvidia cards, but no Never Settle: Space Edition with a Mustang Omega . Like I said, I just wanted a second opinion. Or someone to tell me I'm about to make a huge mistake....

Hello everyone! I was just wondering, would I be able to do NVIDIA surround 5760x1080 with two 1920x1080 monitors and one 1920x1200 monitor. I don't really mind if there are little black bars on the top and bottom of the 1200p screen. Thanks!

Hello I'm new here and you all seem like a great bunch. I have a question about upgrading my GPU. With the new GTX 970 and 980 I was thinking about upgrading my GPU to something a bit more powerful because my GTX 760 just doesn't cut it any more since I moved to 3 1080p monitors. I am looking into getting a GTX 980 but I wanted to check with some others about what my best option is to upgrade into for running 5760x1080 gaming. My budget isn't exactly tight but I will have to decide at time of purchase how much I want to spend. I also generally prefer Nvidia cards but I am open to be convinced in to a AMD if there is a good enough benefit to change.

So, now that I'm nearing the budget target for my build, I have a question about the performance that I'll be getting. How well do DCU2 780's work at 5760x1080? I currently have a BenQ XL2420T but I am able to get 2 more off of some friends for £100 each. Should I just stick with 120Hz on a single monitor or 60Hz with triple monitors?

Hello there! I was on OCN a long time. I have bought THursday 08 July 2013 from amazon a second MSI N670GTX-PM2D2GD5/OC. I wonder if this worth it to buy two other ASUS VE248H monitors to play Battlefield 3 / 4 on it ? May be Battlefield 4 will be optimized for Kepler GPU ? (or for those consoles :( ). I would ask it for all owners of nearly reference design of this or these card(s) (zotac, msi, galaxy, palit, pny, evga, others). Thanks in advance.

I just bought 2 XL2420Ts to accompany my XL2420TX I have had for a while now. They are all running the exact same settings, I even did a factory reset on the TX. The two Ts are fine, but the TX's color seems really off. Whites seem noticeably red. All colors just seem really off. I am running them all with 90 brightness, R98, G98, B100, 5 sharpness, 12 Black Equalizer, but I can't control the gamma. Is this just something I have to live with or can I change this somehow?

I just launched Terraria because of the new 1.2 update, and I thought they would fix this by now. The title pretty much says it all, I can't get Terraria to run above 1920x1080. Does anybody know of a fix? I saw a few widescreen patches for very early beta a long while back, but they don't seem to do anything. My full spec list is in my signature.

I plan to be playing triple-A titles on 5760x1080p resolutions. I am planning on getting two 4GB ASUS 770s for SLI (i will be overclocking), i had a chance to play around with dual 770s and they perform very well. What other solutions (if any) should i consider in that price range?

I've been looking into these monitors: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009484 Thin bezel, well priced, and a good size for three. I'm also going to buy one of the 144hz asus monitors for gaming on consoles, competitively, in 3D, or if I can't run three monitors with the game. I'm gonna run games at 5760x1080 with dual GTX 780 DCUIIs, so with good setting I don't really expect much more than 60 fps on the monitors. Is 5ms too much response time to fully enjoy having nvidia surround or will it suffice? Also should I just go with the three 144hz asus monitors? I just want a great immerse gaming experience so even 50 frames should be enough but would I ever need it to be faster? IPS should be good for the angles as well, and for content creation I don't know if I need anything past the specs, hell maybe not even 20ms. Any help will be extremely appreciated :D

Okay, so I recently decided to get a new computer with the following specs, all the parts are ordered and will be here by next Monday. Corsair 750D i7-4770K @ 4.2GHz Corsair H100i Nvidia GeForce GTX 780ti Asus Z87-A-SLI (in case I get another GTX 780 Ti in the distant future) 2x Samsung 840 PRO 128GB(1 running Windows 8.1 + 1 running Linux mint) 2Tb Seagate SSHD Corsair 80plus silent PSU So I was wondering this -Is it a waste to use this system on my current LG monitor 1920x1080 60Hz refresh rate, not sure about the response time. -If it is a waste I wont include it in my tri monitor display since it also has a fairly thick bezel at about 2 inches. -Any suggestions for monitors? I was looking at benQ but I'm sure there are many people on this forum that know a lot more about monitors than me. Thanks!

I just inherited a 21" 1080p TV witch goes nicely with my existing one, I want to buy a new monitor so i can have an eyefinity setup. I currently have an HD 7950, in a few months should i buy another one to crossfire or should I try to sell it and upgrade to a better card? Also is it maybe better to save some more money and a GPU before the monitor? P.S. I can currently spend ~150€ (My max budget in the future for a GPU will be ~250€)
