CPU and GPU temps dont go higher than 65-70 when playing VR games. Previously had a GTX 1860 that I used for a time with no similar issues. I am now noticing occasional screen tearing even when computer is idle. I have installed new BIOS updates and have switched to the previous drivers for my GPU, Ive used AMDs driver removal software and reinstalled drivers, same issues persist. Ive also only installed the GPU drivers exclusively (not using software that AMD provides, adrenaline). At a loss as what to do, would like tips or software I can use to help narrow down the issue im having. P.S. this is my first post so any tips on formatting or any other information I could provide to make it easier would be appreciated

Hi friends! Just built myself a new PC and I'm very excited! Ryzen 5 2600 Gigabyte RX 5600 XT 6GB MSI B450I Gaming Plus Wifi G. Skill Aegis 16GB (2x8) DDR4 3000 Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 750W Samsung 970 Evo Plus M.2 1TB Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 NZXT H210 The Graphics Card came about 2 weeks after everything else, so I built it with my old PNY GTX 780 to get me up and running. Everything worked perfectly including being able to get into the UEFI. My 5600 XT came yesterday. When I installed it, my monitor gave me the message 'Input not supported'. So I connected to my samsung TV in the living room and it worked fine. I was able to get into the UEFI and into Windows. I installed the drivers, and then connected it to my monitor again. Now it still flashes the 'Input Not Supported' message a couple times, but eventually does boot into Windows. However, when I mash the delete key on startup to get into the UEFI it just says 'input not supported' and won't go any farther. I have to use the power button to turn it off, and then back on, and it will go into Windows, but I cannot get into the UEFI. The monitor I'm currently using is the Acer S271HL Gbidx. Anyone know what this is all about? I have a new monitor coming on Wednesday (AOC C32G2 32" Curved 165Hz 1920x1080), but I'd like to know how to solve the issue in case I encounter it again. Thanks for your help and insight! Edit- Not sure if this belongs in Graphics Cards or Monitors, but now that I think about it, probably Monitors. If a mod sees this feel free to move this post over there. Thanks!

So I recently bought an XFX AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT RAW II PRO from Best Buy at the end of March. I originally paid $289.99 plus tax (US Dollars). A few days go by, I notice the same card was lowered to $269.99 plus tax on their website. I talked to Best Buy support and they told me that they would refund me for the price difference. Here's the kicker. They didn't price match me to $269.99 plus tax, they told me they could match it to $249.99 plus tax**!** I don't know how or why they matched it below their own website's price. I've never seen a price like this for a brand-new 5600 XT. The RAW II PRO is a pretty solid card too. On my overclock, I'm running a stable 1860 MHz memory clock and 1820 MHz boost clock at temps 65 degrees Celsius and below under full load. Has anyone else encountered a price like this (RAW II PRO or not), or did I just get really lucky? Has anyone ever encountered an experience like this at Best Buy regardless? I'm genuinely curious. Here's a link to the card on Best Buy's website: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/xfx-amd-radeon-rx-5600-xt-raw-ii-pro-6gb-gddr6-pci-express-4-0-graphics-card/6398005.p?skuId=6398005

ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 2060 Twin Fan vs XFX AMD Radeon™ RX 5600 XT 6GB GDDR6 THICC II Pro which one would be better for 1080p gaiming? I want to use it for next 3-4 years. and I have a thing for ray tracing. also is 2060 good enough for 1080p rtx gaming? these are the only two models available in my local market within my budget. Thank you.

just wondering if this GPU ships with the faster BIOS? Not comfortable updating it myself as i don't have a UPS. Also, if it does not include one, can I overclock it to a similar extent? I would assume the triple fan design would allow for great overclocking, and I've heard the OC quite well. Gigabyte Radeon RX 5600 XT 6 GB GAMING OC

Hello everyone. I recently bought a new XFX AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT THICC III Ultra and replaced my old r9 380 today. At first, there was no issue, Windows booted properly, I have checked the AMD software and device manager, and everything seemed in order. So, I started to play Witcher 3 to test it, FPS was normal (80-100) but there was stutter. After 3-5 minutes of playtime, the computer crashed to black screen and wouldn't boot after restart (it powers up but all I see is black screen, no BIOS or anything). I've tried to boot with my r9 380 to see if I mess something else but it runs just as fine before. I've tried factory reset with adrenaline software, installed the new GPU and booted again but the result was black screen. I have used DDU to completely remove the drivers in safe mode with my old r9 380 on, selected the option "clean and shutdown". After shutdown, I installed the 5600 xt and tried to boot, did not work again. Am I doing something wrong, or do I have a faulty GPU? So I'm currently attempting to upgrade a Dell pre-built with a new GPU, specifically an Inspiron 5675 which shipped with an R3 1200 and an RX 560. I have already replaced the CPU with an R5 1600x and installed a solid state boot drive. My GPU of choice - which I've already purchased - is the MSI RX 5600 XT Gaming X. I made this decision based on its good power consumption and performance figured in comparison to other 5600 XTs, as well as the fact that until recently it was priced attractively in my region. The problem I am anticipating is with the PSU, even though the 5600 XT has modest power requirements and my 460W Dell PSU (eww, I know) does exceed the recommended 450W power requirements on the MSI website - for some reason the Gaming X uses two 8-pin power connectors. This is for a card with a 150W TDP and an (empirical) power consumption under load of 120W. My PSU only has a single 6+2 pin connector, and Dell used to ship this PSU with RX 580s which draw more power than a 5600XT, using just that single 8-pin. At this point I am seriously considering using some sort of PSU adapter (eww, again I know) - so to summarise my question is this: Is there a way to determine which of the 8-pin inputs the GPU will draw from first, so that I can make sure that one uses the actual PCI-E power cable, or would the power draw be distributed evenly? Here is the main source I used to make this decision:

Hey, First time PC builder that needs some serious help! I recently built my PC for great 1080p gaming have a 144hz gaming monitor that I ordered to put to use when it arrives. Long story short, I was experiencing crashing with a variety of games, but slowly managed to eliminate this (although green screen that crashes my pc still occurs sometimes), but now I am having trouble booting my PC after turning it off over night. I originally had my 5600 XT on the latest vBIOS, but have since flashed back to a more stable version (as advised by gigabyte) to try and eradicate some issues. Specs as follows: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF (friend gifted M9 Plus Cryorig cooler so using that instead of stock) GPU: Gigabyte RX 5600 XT Gaming OC (using f2 BIOs) RAM: 16gb (2x8gb) Team Force Vulcan 3200MHz (these are sitting at default settings, 2400MHz, was having serious crashing issues at XMP profile) MOBO: AsRock B450M Steel Legend Storage: 1TB Crucial P1 NVMe SSD PSU: Cooler Master MWE 650W Gold The issue I am having is that when I turn my PC on first thing in the morning it doesn't boot to windows and freezes on a black screen with 2/3 white dots (as attached). I then hard reset by long holding the power button to turn off then turn back on. What happens next is a recovery screen (also attached) where I click restart and seem to boot into windows no issues. When I was having game crashes I installed "whocrahed" to assess my minidump folder (followed youtube video for this) and I do get errors with TDR (atikmpag.sys), but don't know if this is relevant. I should also mention I have another thread about the green screen crashes mentioned where I have now lowered RAM speed and have seen that this has helped reduce the green screen game crashes, but although rare, these still occur. Further help on what would cause the game crashes is welcomed. Hopefully someone can help me out! Would love to know what the cause is and how I can troubleshoot to find out. Want a stable PC that I can game on with no scares of crashing and will fire up when told. Thanks in advance, - Westy

Alright so I messed up and upgraded my graphics card the other day, and when I did I wanted a little bigger power supply than what i had. I originally had a 520w bronze (cant remember exact brand) and a EVGA GTX 1050ti OC. These was replaced by a 650w Gold EVGA (fully modular) and a 5600 XT. After i got the card i realized that for full potential i needed a 4.0 pcie slot so i had to up grade my board now, so I went from a b450 steel legend to MSI x570 Gaming Edge. After I got the board I realized it needs a extra 4pin that my power supply doesn't have. So my question is can i order a second 4+4 connector and plug it into the VGA 8 pin on the power supply and just use one of the two 4pins. If thats not a usable option could I use a adapter, and if so which style adapter, how reliable are they, and are there any good brands or places to get them?

So I was planning to get the 5600xt but the new bios update came out and I don't really feel comfortable with flashing the card. Will they ever release the update straight from the factory? If so, when do you think they will change the BIOS? edit: the card I will get if the 5600xt fails to impress me is the 1660 super.

Since updating my rig (new rig below) I can no longer screen share certain things (eg: Netflix, Disney+) like I've been doing for a while on my old rig. Normally I'd chalk this up to "security" measures from the source to prevent streaming (and on some level it probably is), but I was and still am able to screen share from my older rig. Both were running Windows 10 and Chrome (and thanks to my Chrome login, should have the same extensions), but things like Zoom, Discord, and OBS don't register those videos at all on the new rig. So my options are one of a change in settings, drivers, or hardware that's causing this. I'd originally thought it might be because of the 5600xt, as it's apparently had issues with black screen and rendering, but since the issue is only for certain things and not while gaming or doing things in full screen I don't know. I’m also trying to stick to the same manufacturers where possible - but I appreciate that that might be a little short sighted. I know that B550 is around the corner, and I won’t be purchasing for a couple of months so I wouldn’t be surprised if the MoBo is tweaked. My main question is around the GPU. Am I better going with the 5600 XT or sticking with Team Green and getting an RTX 2060 instead. I welcome all your thoughts! Thanks.
