I have been used intergrate graphics for a long time and i want to upgrade to a new RTX 2060 Super but i dont sure that my 550W PSU enough for it or should i just upgrade to a 650W PSU. My Specs: - i5 10400 - MSI H510M-A Pro - 16Gb Ram - 500Gb SSD - CR1000 Cooler - 5 RGB Fan - Corsair CX550F RGB

anyone know if i can run 2 rx 580s with a 550 watt psu. the cards draw around 100 watts each but not sure if its a false read or something. and cpu draw isnt crazy high either. so would it be possible.

So i was done with my whole GPU thing and got a new one that i was enjoying with. Around a year and a half ago or a year my psu fan had BAD grinding noise. I sent it to a shop where my friend works he lubed it for me for around $2. Was happy with it and went on my day and never heard the noise again. Fast forward to TODAY and the noise came back for around a minute then disappeared out of nowhere. Before it happened tho i could hear slight rattling and clicking in the fan. Now that it happened the rattle and the grinding noise are gone but the fan still is spinning. (Which is how the first time started) so should i get it lubed again?..or should i just buy a new PSU or replace the fans? (A shop will do it not me) Psu is : FSP HEXA+ 550W (Note that i will have to sell my phone to to actually get a decent psu..an EVGA br or smth)

I was using GTX 1060 used card. Then it stopped working. So I'm planning to buy a new gpu probably RTX 2060. In specs recommended psu is 500W and I have Corsair CX 550W psu. But I was wondering if it won't be too much for my PSU as I want my PC to be stable for long-term. Do I need to upgrade for safer side? many says its completely fine and many says better to upgrade for safer side. I don't have much budget to buy another psu. Still would like to know your thoughts. PS: Not looking to buy any AMD gpu I know RX 6600 is a good option due to driver issues and all.

So I recently replaced my gtx1060 3gb with a rx5700xt and have run into a issue and would like some outside input as I am not extremely knowledgeable in computers. The problem is that when I play videogames the computer turns off with no warning I have measured the GPU and CPU temp and they are nowhere near the turn off point the power supply is more than enough to sustain the system. The pc need about 400w to run and I got a 550w psu but I still added 3 more fans to the case to improve airflow thinking it is a cooling issue but the issue has continued. Before replacing the GPU I had no problems so now I am thinking it might be faulty power supply or bad and driver's but heard the new drivers fixed the majority of the issues or psu is not sufficient for new gpu. I plan to buy a Thermaltake 550W Smart Series Bronze but i don't know if it will be good for my system i don't have a high budget. But i want to know if this Power supply is good. PD: The pc will have a i3 7100 and a gtx 1050 ti, 8 GB Ram, 2 TB HDD etc. But also i wanna upgrade the pc in 1-2 years.

So I got this nice 4k screen here that eats away my fps and I want to upgrade either 1080 or 1080 ti. I currently have a r9 390 club 3d royalqueen on stock speed and an i5 4670 (no k) so no overclocking. Also got 2x ssd 2x hdd and 4 sticks of 4gb ram It's a bronze certified OCZ ZS Series 550w psu. In my country the regular 1080 doesn't seem to drop in price so far, 20 euro's drop making it still 680 euro's for a reasonable aftermarket version and the ti 'should' be 830 euro's on release so if prices won't change I'll get that. But it says on the nvidia website they recommend a 600w power supply minimum, but that's just because they don't know if I have an extreme overclocked cpu or a thousand harddisks right? TL;DR if a r9 390 has no problems for my 550w psu, is a 1080 ti also going to be fine?

Hello everyone, I am wondering if it's a good idea to get a new PSU, my current system has a Core i5 6400 at stock and a GTX 980 Classified overclocked to 1.5GHZ, which isn't a particularly power hungry setup, and probably doesn't even consume near 400 Watts of power. That being said, whenever I stress the GPU and CPU for a prolonged period of time, my power supply gets fairly loud and the air coming out of it is definitely hot. My current power supply is a Deepcool DA550, which is 80+ Bronze and has over 500W on the 12V rail, so it's not utter trash but it kind of worries me, especially considering I cannot find any info about it online even on forums. The OCD in my head always worries that it will explode and that it's just not quite right, so I wonder if I should upgrade. Should I get something higher quality, or am I just over exaggerating and I can use this PSU for now? Thank you in advance for the answers.

Hello, So I am building my first PC (yay!) But when I got my power supply in (Corsair CX-M 550W 80+ Bronze) the CPU power cable had something on it, I am not sure if it is dirt or corrosion I managed to get most of it off with a microfiber rag that's barely wet, but there's still some on there. My main concern is that there is stuff in the inside (not in the metal but right above it) and since I wasn't able to get it all off I don't know if I should send it back or what?

hi, I have 8 years old system with Cooler Master GX 550W psu. My Radeon HD 6850 died recently. Planning to buy Rx 570 4 gb or 1050ti. Issue is that (past 1 month) PSU fan sometimes spin very fast for 2-4 secs & makes noise, I can hear it from another room. I am worried, is it dying, will blow up, motherboard components burn/fail etc ( no warranty left :) . Is it a good time to upgrade my PSU ? I know 1050ti draws less power, but comparatively 570 is better in terms of power. I need a quality budget PSU for my ryzen 2700 and rx 590 but I’m having a hard time finding a good one that is just safe because apparently I’m risking A LOT by going with a cheaper PSU like an EVGA N1 550 or a Corsair VS 550. Does anyone have suggestions on what PSU I should buy that’s budget?

So I have a build ready to go, but I want to make sure the Power Supply is going to be strong enough for everything I have lined up with a pretty serious overclock on both CPU and GPU. The 970 is at 1420MHz Core and 3856MHz Memory according to MSI afterburner, and I want to make sure I can overclock the 2600 to the limit it will allow. I have a Corsair 550W Power supply right now and a I5 8600k at 5.0 GHz stock voltage, I want to get a Gtx 1080 or the next 1180 (or whatever they call it) will 550W be enough, also running rgb lights, ram keyboard and mouse if that makes a difference.
