Just put my new rig together last Saturday. Didn't realize my front ports weren't working till now. Found out I had the hd audio connector hooked up to the wrong connector but even after that fix still nothing. Here is the url to my build on pcpartpicker so if anyone needs to know what I am working with.

Hi all, Thinking about a new case, had my Coolermaster Scout 2 for ages. I like the idea of something that is smaller yet can fit my H100i cooler in it plus 4 drives. I like the Corsair 540, its not that much smaller though: https://www.pccasegear.com/products/23956/corsair-carbide-air-540-high-airflow-atx-cube-case Thoughts on other cases/ideas?

Hi guys! I'm planning to upgrade my case, as I have some spare money. My rig is quite good, but operates on air cooling. I want something with high airflow so after a long research I've found two cases which I like. Corsair Air 540 and Thermaltake Core X9. Is anyone of you have one of these and can tell me advantages and disadvantages? Thanks! Edit - My rig is in my profile, if anyone of you is curious :>

Hi everyone, I've been thinking about overclocking my laptop's gpu because it's been holding back my cpu. I've tried using the nVidia nTune utility but with no success. I've read a few tutorials on the internet about this exact gpu but no one reported any errors. Whenever I try to change the clocks I get "the changes you made were invalid and will not be applied" and it resets to the default clocks (sometimes even resets to 1Mhz but I think its just a visual bug) Anyone has had this issue? How did you solve it? Thank you

Hi there, hoping this is the correct section for my thread, i want to little introduce myself to this good community, i am a 19 years old guy from Italy, got the first PC in 2000 when i was 3 years old, a 64mb RAM powered win 98, started from this i got immediately the passion for these things, these days after years of home-made experiments, after some CSS sites done, 50 or 60 pc custom maded for buyers (my second job), some mistakes done in the internet, i want to build my first serious computer. Not for gaming, only for study at the university (section of Ethical Hacking & Deep Web). So after these un-necessary words, i recently buyed a Xeon E5 2683 V3, looking for a dual socket motherboard because in near future maybe i will want a 2nd CPU, but the problem is that i am in love with the Corsair Air 540, i really love that cube case, but i don't know if it will fit an EEB board like a Z10PE-D8 in that case. Anyone has done a build like this and know if it will fit? Or is better to buy an X99E-WS or a dekstop board?

Ok so I've got a corsair air 540 in working on. Wanting to put a fan controller into one of the optical drive bays and it slides right in, but alas, it's just a short so you have to take out the tool less mounting and screw it in. That's where I run into troubles. Can't mount t first and slide the front panel back over it, what I'm wanting to do is remove the top panel above the psu section and...I can't. Wondering if anyone knows how to get the top panel off without breaking the steps for remounting not really feeling any give at all in them. Help please love you all!

Hello, Do you happen to know an eATX PC case that can fit dual 180x3 (540)mm radiators and possibly dual reservoirs? This is going to be a larger enthusiast configuration and I want to be able to fit a large water cooling setup inside with ease. The Thermaltake Core WP200 Super-Tower Chassis was suggested to me and I really like the design and dimensions but I don't like Thermaltake. I'm looking for a higher-end product quality like SilverStone, LianLi or Case Labs and I would really like an aluminium case. Unfortunately Case Labs don't have anything similar and I think SilverStone and Lian-Li don't have it either. Any ideas? Thanks!

Alright so I am planning on adding a few things to my new build, compared to my current build. I want to watercool my EVGA 980 TI stock card. I have a Corsair 540 cube case. I have a dual radiator for my CPU that is mounted on the top of the case (pic below). I want to get this cooler for my video card, but I'm not too sure about it. To me it seems solid, and it has good reviews, but none of that matters if it doesn't work for my case. This is the cooler http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZQ4PFX2?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_2&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER It's cheap, and it's all in one. That's why I want it. But if it's a bad move, please do tell me. Alright now for the important part. I was considering mounting the existing dual radiator that is on top of my case, to the front. Then I would also mount the new GFX card cooler to the front as well, seeing as the front of the case can support what looks like a triple rad. I've added a pic below of a drawing that is supposed to represent what I am trying to convey. I know, it is some seriously artistic work. Anyway, for you airflow experts, I'd like to know if it would work, or if I would be turning my case into a heater (which it's pretty cold here so I wouldn't mind at this point). Hope to hear from some awesome people and make this work! I will update with pics when it's completed!

Hi guys, Trying to find a decent build for my Uni Desktop pc, and I thought about the following parts : http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/X6fFkL What do you think ? I was thinking also about getting the white Air 540, with White Asus z170-A Instead of the gaming one, but im not sure how it would look, so please help, any opinions and suggestions are always welcome ! Later on Im thinking of installing White LEDs, so throw ur opinion at me !

Hey guys, As title suggests, looking for opinion on choosing between these two cases. Primary concerns are cable management & cooling, less concerned about hot swapping components. Let me know what you all think is a better choice. Thanks all!

Hello I was wondering if Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 would fit in Corsair Air 540 ? Because gigabyte GPU lenght is 32cm.

Yo everyoneeeee So I'm building my friend a gaming PC. and I was thinking : Red and black motherboard and graphic card. Also red sleeved cables. and WHITE corsair air 540. Do you think Red,Black and White is good combo ?

Right, I need help with my fan config in my Corsair Air 540, I currently have the two stock 140mm fans as intake at the front, I also have 2 120mm Corsair AF120's in the top as exhaust as well as another AF120 in the rear for exhaust as well, the problem im having is my room gets dusty quickly and the dust is settling inside the case. Is this becasue I have negative air pressure inside the case? What do you guys think?

So as I was removing on of my hard drives from my corsair Air 540, the clip on the drive mount broke as shown below: I honestly wasn't even applying that much force but it still broke off. Regardless, do you think if I contact corsair warranty they will send me a new one despite the fact that I broke it myself? EDIT: Contacted Corsair and they are sending a replacement. GO CORSAIR!!!!!

So i've been looking at the Corsair air 540 to use as my 'server' case. I like the 540 due to its height and being able to fit my old crosshair IV formula mobo in it, however it only comes stock with 2 3.5" drive cages. What solutions are the to increase the number or drive bays to 4 or 6 drives in the air 540.

Hi all, So I watched Linus' Corsair Air 540 video and I am strongly considering this case, I was initially dead set on the C70 but the only thing about it is that it's a bit too tall, as in there's this bar underneath my desk so it's extremely restricting for regular cases (I currently have a micro-ATX case so it's a bit smaller) so I'd have to put the C70 on the floor leaving this big weird gap between my desk and drawers and everything would be out of place and awkward and the OCD would kick in, so that's where the 540 comes in. It's low enough for my desk and I don't care how wide it is, in fact that's a plus in my book (much more space for cable management) So I'm wondering what one should I go for, is there any major benefits in the C70 that would make it win hands down or should I just go with the 540? (Because it does have a lot benefits, better cooling etc. and it also comes with Corsair AF fans) So which one would you guys go for and why? Thanks in Advance, Paul

Hey everybody. I don't use forums much but I would like to show my personal build in the Corsair Air 540 case. I've been using the Zalman Z11 Plus case for a few years now and it is small for my preference. With my terrible cable management I can barely get the side panel on. So these pictures will show me moving my parts over into a new case. Yes I have optical drives installed. Don't ask me why I have two. I burn DVDs for my parents and grandparents from our vacations and trips. They still prefer to watch on DVDs. This is my 5th build. (i think) Spec: Case: Corsair Air 540 CPU: AMD FX-8350 CPU Cooler: Corsair H80i RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz CL9 Motherboard: Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 Graphics Card: EVGA GTX 460 (getting out of date but still serves me well) Sound Card: Asus Xonar DG HDD: WD - 1TB Green, 750GB Black SSD: Crucial M4 128GB PSU: Thermaltake Smart 650w Front Fans: Enermax T.B Vergas Duo (Took me forever to find these) (http://www.enermax.com/home.php?fn=eng/product_a1_1_1&lv0=4&lv1=39&no=128) Lighting: Logisys Blue Cold Cathode x 2 Old case. Pretty damn dusty if you ask me New case unboxed Back of Z11 case. Had to move around a lot of cables to get the panel to fit Moved the two front 140mm fans to the top and starting to populate the front with Enermax Vegas Duo 120mm fans Front fully loaded Motherboard transfered with H80i Inside look at the front fans and where the cables go Vengeance ram Front view Hard drives in, cables ready Graphics card in and wired up Tried my best to make the cables look nice Full side view Side of the case and all its glorious space Back of case Power on

Hi guys! So basically I am planning a new build, but I'm struggling with finding the right parts. Gonna try make this as understandable as possible, hopefully. So originally I was gonna go with a Corsair 350D with a G1. Sniper M5 and a GTX 780 (green, black and silver theme), which I think would look cool if I built it, but lately I've been interested in the new Carbide Air 540, also from Corsair, mainly because of the bigger size, expandability (with better support for the watercooling I may be doing) and special looks it offers. I don't really need an m-atx case as I have lots of room for a case, BUT the main disadvantage of the Air 540 is that it's hard to stick with the same color scheme (which I really want) whilst still keeping it affordable, and it might also look a bit underpowered/off if I had an m-atx case, and/or if I just had the single card in there. I've considered multiple options like going with an Asus Sabertooth Z87, doing another color scheme, or buying a more normal case like the Switch 810, the problem is that those options don't really "support" the look I wanna go for (unique, green/black/silver). So if you guys have any input as to what case/motherboard/graphics card(s), I would be very happy! Thanks in advance!

Hey guys! This is my first post on the linustechtips forum. Anyways, I have a question about my upcoming build. I'm going to use the Corsair Carbide Air 540 for my build. What is the best fan setup for the case? I'm planning to use the included two AF140 white led fans for front intake, two AF 140 white led fans for top exhaust, and the included fan for rear exhaust. Or, is it better if I use three AF 120 white led fans for the front intake? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'll keep updating about the build. Cheers, jamesalx30

I know many of you said not to worry about the H440 in terms of temps, (and are quite annoyed with my threads / FYI last post on the subject) but I have one final issue. I have come down to the NZXT H440, Corsair Air 540 and the Corsair Vengeance C70 as my case with this build (http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/bPMBzy). What case would work best with my current components and in the future in terms of future proofing and upgrading, SLI, cooling, sound, etc etc etc. What is your opinion on the best case out of the three. Thanks

I want to buy a new case and I was decided for a black C70. But like a week ago a 540 was shown at Computex, so I'm really confused. I like all of them, but don't know which should I go for. At the moment I'm the most impressed by the 540, but I would have to wait until late July. Do you think it's worth it? Would the temperatures be any lower than in the C70? Or should I just buy the C70 probably around the end of this month? At the moment I have a Core 1000 with an m-ATX MoBo (you can see the rest of my specs in the signature below), but I was planning to buy an ATX in December or early 2014. I want to change the case to have better cable managment options, dual 240mm (or even dual 280mm) radiator compatibility, bottom mounted PSU and front panel USB 3.0. I also looked at the Define R4, but I'm a little bit worried about the tempertures and airflow. I also don't really like the door at the front to access the I/O.

Hey there, I am starting this topic to see what you guys think of the new Corsiar Carbide AIR 540 case. The case, as usual for Corsair appears to be built of good quality materials and assembled well. After watching a few videos on it I was interested in buying it for a future build and water cool with it. But then I watched the HardwareCanucks review and that sort of changed my mind. Why, you may wonder? Corsair has been including PSU fan filters on many cases for a long time now, but for some reason, they have failed to include one on this case. I know its not a big deal to some, but on a $150 case from a reputable manufacturer, I expect to get all the bells and whistles that are on their other cases. Also, I am concerned about the clearance in the front. If you have a long graphics card that is watercooled, you may not be able to put a radiator thicker than 30mm in the front. I am not upset about this nor to I intend to come across as a whiner, I just though Corsair would consider these things. That's my two cents (in case anyone gives a ****), thanks for reading and feel free post a reply saying your opinion on this new case. HardwareCanucks Review

I just saw the Carbide 540 by Corsair and it's just like the Caselabs cases but dirt cheaper! The way that the PSU, optical drives and ssd's are hidden, is just amazing! Just imagine a Tri-Sli WC Build with acrylic tubing in that! It would look soooo clean! Anyways what do you guys think? Is this the perfect case (for the money) or is it just another new design that people won't buy? (Images from Overclock.net)
